The Staff were amazing and super friendly and helpful, also give the Guest services guy (bellboy for lack of a better description) a huge raise he made the stay so nice! I was there for dragoncon. The hotel lobby and historical value of the property, the resturant and wait staff were also amazing!

The Room could have used a desk but that is really my only Gripe. Things at the front desk like drinks and snacks were way too overpriced, like i totally understand the hotel wanting to make money but $9 for a redbull was insaine and it was the little redbull not even the full size cans.

Great property but even greater people. More specifically Mr. Jermaine, way helpful and helped make us very comfortable by handling valet services and making us have a memorable stay. I can’t thank him and the entire Candler staff enough, will be back.

Talk about an amazing experience. Everything I tasted was the best thing I’ve had in Atlanta. All the recommendations and drinks were amazing. Tina was The BEST, she even knew a little history about the building not to mention making a great cocktail. 10 out of 10.

Our experience at The Candler Hotel Atlanta was exceptional from the moment we arrived, and a huge part of that was thanks to Phuong at the front desk. Phuong’s professionalism, patience, and genuine kindness made our check-in effortless. She took the time to answer every question thoroughly, accommodated our requests with flexibility, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines efficiency with such a warm and welcoming personality, and she truly set the tone for an outstanding stay. The level of customer service throughout the hotel was equally impressive. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. You can tell the team takes great pride in creating a memorable guest experience, and it showed in every interaction. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The historic architecture blended with elegant modern touches creates a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Every detail of the décor feels thoughtfully designed, from the beautifully restored lobby to the stylish guest rooms. The ambiance is luxurious without feeling pretentious. The Candler Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the impeccable service, gorgeous surroundings, and the outstanding hospitality from Phuong and the entire staff, this is easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Downtown Atlanta. We highly recommend staying here, and we look forward to returning on our next visit!

Gorgeous property that has been beautifully restored. Great character. Room was large and comfortable with big windows and spacious bathroom. Loved being in an old school hotel with lots of charm.

We had an amazing sta. The room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was attentive and kind, especially Jerome and Ms. Lyvette. Would highly recommend.

Our daughter is in her third year at Spelman, and we have family in the area, so we visit Atlanta often. I am NOT a hotel person, but this place feels like a home away from home. The staff are like family, the atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the space is ALWAYS impeccably clean. The George restaurant inside of the hotel has amazing food! Jerome and all of the valet attendants are so kind, genuine, and personable. I have booked this hotel no fewer than ten times, sometimes with all five of my children, sometimes just myself and my husband. We won’t stay anywhere else. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stay at the Candler.

The hotel was immaculate. The historical nature of the building was well preserved. The staff was all friendly but Jerome and Jermaine take the lead on the customer service during our stay. They were attentive and kind. You could tell they truly enjoy their job, and that is hard to come by these days!

Amazing staff!!! Germaine, Jerome and Yvette are top notch. They made our weekend getaway so wonderful. Our room on the 11th floor had great views. And the breakfast at the restaurant was so yummy.

This was my first time staying at this particular hotel and the service was absolutely top tier. Jermaine and Tracy were both absolute gentleman, and Jerome provided the security one would want when solo traveling. Everyone, including the custodial staff was pleasant and friendly and ready to assist. I would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend!

All the staff members that we met were truly kind and helpful. We were treated wonderfully and the price was very reasonable. Our room was fantastic and comfortable. We loved the easy access to the aquarium and restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at The Candler Hotel over Mother’s Day weekend! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, relaxing, and full of charm. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely engaging, which made our stay feel extra special. We also had brunch at their restaurant - by George, and everything was wonderful. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and the rum punch is an absolute must-have! It was easily one of the highlights of the weekend. One of the things I enjoyed most was learning about the rich history of the hotel. It truly adds to the unique experience and makes The Candler feel like such a special place to visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Atlanta! D. Cumberbatch

Gorgeous hotel that is walking distance to the State Farm Arena and the Olympic Park. Service was fabulous too. The restaurant had an incredible breakfast menu.

We’ve just left after an outstanding couple of days at this wonderful hotel. We arrived late, tired and jet lagged after a 16 hour journey to be met by one of the warmest receptionists we’ve ever encountered. (Colombian lady who studied in Eastbourne in England for a while - we can’t believe we didn’t get her name). Her friendly but professional demeanour set the tone for our entire stay - the hotel has a group of staff who are determined to make their guests happy and who clearly take enormous pride in doing so. Big thanks to Jermaine on the front door who recommended Gus’s chicken for lunch and who was outstanding friendly to us throughout our stay. The hotel is a wonderful conversion of a building with plenty of history, the bedroom was immaculately presented too. We were sorry to leave but excited to return in a couple of weeks at the end of our road trip. With thanks to the team!

My second stay at The Candler was just as enjoyable as the first stay several years ago. I chose this hotel over the many others in the area because of its elegance, tasteful interior design and friendly, attentive staff. Jerome, Lavelle, Avery, Natalia and every other staff member I came in contact with (reception, door, housekeeping) --- thank you for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. I'll be seeing you again soon, I hope!

Lovely old building that has been lovingly renovated. Great location so could walk to the attractions in downtown and midtown. Rooms were large and well appointed. Nice bar and restaurant. Quick service in By George.

Housekeeping service at weekend did not happen which is fine. Found a lady who could provide me with coffee and water.

We have stayed at the Candler several times over the past year or two and our stay is excellent every time!! The rooms are comfortable and very clean (I can tell the cleaners have gone over and above what other hotels do for cleaning), the building is gorgeous and well maintained, and the food is great! Most of all Jerome is extremely kind, helpful, and friendly!! He consistently provides EXCELLENT customer service. I hurt my back before this last stay and he was so caring and willing to help with anything I needed. You just don't see customer service like this anymore. Lavette was also very sweet and kind and helpful!! They are awesome!!!

We used this hotel to break up our flight and it’s everything we required it to be. Approximately 20 mins in an uber from the airport, great location in the centre of Atlanta, short walk to the aquarium. The room was large, comfortable mattress, strong power shower. Quick check in, a cheeky cocktail post exploring. Woke refreshed and happy to continue or journey onwards. If you are transiting through Atlanta this is a great choice over a nondescript airport hotel

Jerome was so helpful and attentive to me and my Husband we appreciate him so much for everything he did to make our stay a memorable one.. We definitely enjoyed the entire staff as well everyone was kind, respectful and just awesome. We will definitely be back, I think this has became our number one hotel in Atlanta. We were in town for a volleyball tournament. Didn’t know when booking it was a historic building. It is enchanting. The marble , chandeliers and grand staircase are so special. Staff was very friendly and was an easy walk to Georgia World Congress Center. Would stay here again

Jerome was very helpful. Upon arrival he ensured that my car was turned over to valet. He was very respectful to my daughter and I. Within five minutes of us making it to our room he arrived with our luggage. He gave us a quick thorough orientation of the hotel, room and amenities.

The room was exactly what was expected based on online photos. The bathroom was huge, which was nice. I loved the welcome drink in the check-in area.

I had to wait a while to check in because the only person at the desk was on the phone. I ordered food through the bookmark and the site wouldn't let me charge it to my room. So, I charged it my card and then the kitchen never got my order.

I surprised my wife for her birthday this weekend and the experience was amazing. I reached out to Jerome on staff and communicated my vision, he went ABOVE & BEYOND in every way imaginable to make it a memorable experience for us. He truly has a heart for service and I will be taking him any buisness I can. If you have a special occasion coming or are simply looking for a place that will provide an exceptional experience, The Candler is it. Ask for Jerome and tell him I sent you!!

The amazing service started as soon as we pulled up. LaVette was so kind and welcoming, helping us with our baggage and getting us settled into our room. She also gave us some great tips and food recommendations, which we really appreciated. Anytime we headed out, Jerome made sure our truck was ready out front. With how busy the street was, we could tell he really cared about our safety. He always made sure we got in comfortably, holding and closing the door for us. The room itself was clean and very comfortable, and we were even surprised with a sweet honeymoon gift waiting for us. The hotel itself was gorgeous. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. There was only one issue we could remember… a flickering light, but the staff was so quick to come fix it! At the end of our stay, Jermaine helped with our baggage and kindly reminded us to double-check the room so we didn’t leave anything behind. Overall, the staff were incredibly kind and personable. Always smiling and making us laugh! We would absolutely love to come back again in the future!

It's a beautliful hotel and easy to get to from the airport. It's also near the aquarium.

When I arrived, the bedside light didn't work. The engineer came up to fix it straight away and within 15 minutes it was flickering. The maids did not clean the room until the afternoon, knocked on the door at 2.30 when we were resting, then we vacated the room so they could clean and they didn't. I had to go to reception again to ask for it to be cleaned. The next day, I asked for it to be cleaned in the morning and was met at reception with, "they usually go in a certain order." To be honest, cleaning my room at 5pm is not acceptable. There was ONE nice and competent guy called Dwight. He understands customer service (which doesn't involve arguing with the guests about what time their room gets cleaned). He was super helpful.

I struggle to find the hotel

The restaurant has really stepped up their pace since the last time I stayed in this hotel. Everything was amazing from cocktails to our meal. The staff especially Jerome are amazing.!!!!

this sounds minor, but when you’re trying to get going out of town, nothing’s better than a piping hot cup of coffee to start your pace in the morning. The in room coffee is not to my liking and I ordered a pot every morning. The only negative is it takes a solid hour to get a pot of coffee, which is basically not acceptable
