Good location as close to shops, big room, comfy bed. 2nd time staying and I will go back again as I like it here

Rooms were dirty and wife refused to stay We did get an on the spot refund though.

Great location for De Montfort university and shopping/eating. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Sadly the lift was not working and I had to walk up three levels of stairs to the reception on third floor with heavy baggage. However I was allocated a room on the first floor so I didn't have to do that again.

The property elevator wasn’t working - had to climb 5 flights stairs with suitcases to reception The hotel was tired and door left open all night The hotel was unmanned. A mobile number provided but didn’t answer the phone. I think all night it was left unattended and for thst reason I didn’t feel safe with doors open and no management of who was entering or exiting. The WiFi didn’t work Shower was flooding the floor On check out not a sold there and the property left unmanned again at 9am in the morning No coffee bar or anything. This is not a 4 star property Absolutely not Chec

Facilities are dated and showing their age Cleanliness Strong smell of drugs As a female I did not feel safe and left as early as I could

The hotel itself has no breakfast, but I had breakfast in a little sandwich shop next to the hotel, which was quite alright.

Mould in the shower and the smell of cold cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Also, the waste paper basket had not been emptied and had waste from the previous guest. The TV didn’t work, and everything looked pretty shabby. The elevator didn't work, and check-in was on the third floor. But the receptionist was quite kind.

Everything was good, Clean, Hygienic, and also good Environment.

There was no breakfast option. The bed was comfortable

The front door was often open. The immediate area had many people about that were clearly on drugs. The lift broke and the only other way in was up 2 flights of stairs again with the security door open and unlocked. The air conditioning unit was poor for flow and very dirty and dusty not to mention the remote barley worked... the tv unit had no channel and required me to use my own accounts via sign in which I refuse to do in strange areas.

The location is fab. I’ve stayed twice before when visiting my daughter at uni to see her perform at Haymarket theatre. Parking in the Rooftop car park for £6 for 24 hours.

Arrived to check in on top floor. Room on level 1 requested a bigger room as with my son who is 6ft 3 so paid a supplement. The room was not really clean, no toilet roll and lots of dirty glasses outside the room. Had to go back up to reception to ask for toilet roll and report the glasses. Then found a side drawer full of condoms and lubricant. Dirty dusty table. Lights and power sockets not working and just a very tired room. The hotel is opposite the main square with loud music and our room was facing out to this and above a noisy bar which went in till 4am. Then the road sweepers started…. Absolutely no sleep!

Location was ideal. It had a fridge and the bed was comfortable

When we arrived there was a drunk homeless man in the lift, while we we were waiting for the receptionist he was emptying a carton of yogurt into a jug and using his finger to scrape it in, then he licked his fingers,checked in and the room stank of weed it was overwhelming. The shower head was so dirty it hardly sprayed water, the drain was dirty, the glass screen hadn’t been done, the shower flex was full of black mold. The shower gel and shampoo holders were covered in black mold. The toilet needs a good bleaching and cleaning. Hairs on the bottom sheet of the bed. The pillows are lumpy like they’ve been there for years. It all just looked like it needed a good clean. The curtains don’t fit the window properly and the pike is just hanging there. How they can justify the price is beyond me, it was awful. No hair straighteners as advertised or bath. Nothing deluxe about the room at all apart from the size of the room. I wished I’d saved some money and gone with the standard room.

Location was fine

I didn't end staying overnight as it was so bad and not worth the money! Stains on the sheets, room smelled on entered and not 100% clean. It was also very noisy facing out to the public area across the road showing World Cup matches. I had to ring a mobile to get attention at reception and one of the staff was lazing on the balcony on a loud video call with no attempt to help anyone waiting at reception. Dreadful place. I do not recommend!

Good location and room was big.

My door didn't lock. Shower was in a poor condition. Reception and main areas stunk off weed. Room was shabby, remote cover missing, sink filthy, seating area very worn and curtains didn't meet in the middle.

Nothing really apart from the location being in the city and walking distance to restaurants.

Unfortunately, the condition of the property fell well below expectations. The bathroom, particularly the shower and bathtub area, showed visible signs of rust and poor maintenance. I also found an unusual insect on the pillow and bedding, which was particularly concerning from a cleanliness perspective. While I appreciate that issues can occasionally arise, the overall standard of hygiene and upkeep left a lot to be desired and significantly affected my stay.

Location in st nicholas place , view from balcony, roof top bar, room was good size, comfy, big walkin shower. Air con price was good.

Its a shabby area and entrance, ashtrays on balcony and in bar outside hadnt been emptied. kept my door shut after i took some photos of view. Tv no channels no licence or sky or it didnt work i watched tubi and youtube.

Great position. Clean comfortable room. Parking works well at nearby multi story. Staff very friendly.

Building is a bit tired. Can’t walk upstairs. Have to take grotty lift.

The location.

The entire building reeked of smoke. The elevator was also very old; I was afraid I'd get stuck every time I used it. However, there's only one elevator and no stairs available (the reception isn't on the ground floor, but on the top floor). The room itself wasn't completely clean and had some defects. This was definitely not a 4-star hotel; in my opinion, it was more like a 2-star hotel.

The hotel was a disgrace the rooms are nothing like the photos the rooms are tiny and filty really bad smell from bathroom hotel was so noisy my privacy on our balcony was atrocious ppl asking for cigarettes while I was sitting on my balcony did not feel safe felt more like an ipas center then a hotel left after 1 night didn't even look for refund or complain just lest the key at a make shift reception would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy wouldn't stay again if I was paid to

Our room was not a Deluxe room & definitely was not the one advertised. There was no kettle, wasn’t very clean …

There was rubbish outside the door. Hotel smelt of cannabis. Nothing like the photos. Curtains didn't fit the window. Genre was a whole in the bed!!

I liked the location, walking distance to my concert and close to where I was going for a night out afterwards. Nice comfortable room at a reasonable price.

Nothing to 'not like' but a couple of things that would have been nice: a big towel in the room (in addition to the small one) and getting the TV working (couldn't get live TV)

The location is rather "colourful". Many bars at that end of the high street and some seedy characters. That did not bother me. I liked my room very much and was told that I had been upgraded to a suite, so thank you for that. Very spacious and clean.

The location was excellent, the room was big, clean and comfortable

Having stayed before, I was a little dissatisfied that the room with balcony wasn’t as good as the reins without which are cheaper. Also the balcony door was open all night as a key wasn’t provided.

The Customer services is excellent, how comfy the mattress is.

Mould on netting of the curtains, marks in shower, no breakfast options. Invoice not given despite asking 3x. No hairdryer in the room. You can hear creak of floorboards and the TV from the room next door.
