La habitacion estaba limpia y el aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien. Se encuentra en un barrio muy acogedor en las afueras de Guilin, lejos del bullicio

El personal fue amable durante la estancia, pero no nos ayudaron demasiado en la reserva de algunas excursiones o traslados, eran mucho mas caros de la media y en algunos casos no nos lo hacian. Por lo demas todo bien

La struttura è molto carina. Il personale molto molto gentile e professionale. Ottima colazione. Una cucina in comune per chi ha esigenze particolari. La posizione è buona ma bisogna naturalmente spostarsi in taxi.

Purtroppo il contesto è in gran parte in stato di abbandono probabilmente per un ipotetico sviluppo turistico non andato a buon fine.

Nos encantó todo, a pesar de que casi no estuvimos tiempo en Guilin, nos ayudaron en todo, desde el primer momento de la reserva, desde WeChat estuvieron pendientes de nosotros, nos reservaron los billetes para el crucero, que fue increíble y nos recomendaron un hotel en Yangshuo nuestro siguiente destino que también fue increíble. Nos indicaron que poder ver en Guilin en el poco tiempo que teníamos y con los didi. No está en el centro de la ciudad sino en las afueras en plena naturaleza, es precioso. Como teníamos el desayuno incluido pero no nos daba tiempo por la hora del crucero, el conductor que nos pidieron nos llevó a desayunar a otro local antes de dejarnos en el muelle. Cualquier cosa que necesites este es tu hotel. Gracias por todo ❤️

The kindness of the staff and the view

The staff was very friendly and helpful! They were a great help in arranging and planning trips. They also taught me more about Chinese culture by letting me eat Guilin rice noodles at a local restaurant and letting me try out caligraphy. The location is also breathtaking. You're living in a small village with many restaurants and shops. Nature is around the corner too: A river, mountains, ponds... And of course, the room was clean and comfortable.

This is mostly nitpicking: Communication was a bit hard. I didn't have Wechat so we used e-mail instead. Sometimes we would miss each other's mail and reply late. But most of the time, it worked out. And even though Emily's English is really good, the other staff members couldn't speak it. We made it work with translators however so everything was alright!

We had a great stay! The room was very clean, and I was happy to see that there were no lizards inside. We were given two options for our room, and we chose the one with a Chinese traditional home style, which was a very good choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond my expectations, assisting us with our return flight meals and suggesting some fun activities for our visit. My daughter really loved it!

It was so much more than staying in a hotel. It was like feeling at home. Maria is an incredible host. From day one, she did everything she could to make our stay unforgettable, and it was exactly that. This property is located in a peaceful corner, far from the chaos, where everything flows slowly. We enjoyed excellent tea and took a cooking class. Maria organized a visit to the local market with other guests, where we bought fresh fruit and vegetables, and then we cooked together, just like a family. The rooms are equipped with every comfort and everything was perfect. Maria also offers excursions at great prices. We left a piece of our heart here, but we will be back. Promise.

La decoració xinesa, la ubicació és maca, tranquila, tot i que necessites taxi per anar a Guilin city. La disposició de la persona que atèn a recepció és immillorable. L'únic que és salva.

La habitació no te armari, res on posar la roba. Pretenen que utilitzem un penjador de tovalloles.( Adjunto foto) Vam demanar, al menys, penjadors, ens van dir que sí però no van aparèixer... al futón no li donen la volta mai. Imprescindible per no dormir amb la forma que deixa l'anterior huèsped.... La neteja consisteix en moure els llençols. No canvien tovalloles i segueixen al mateix lloc on les has deixat. Les juntes de la dutxa,negres. No hi posen sabó de mans. Crec que a l'hotel, si segueixen així, li queden 5 temporades. Booking reviseu la categoria de 4 diamants que li doneu.

The location is a bit out of town, around 15 mins by taxi.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good. We arrived at 7 a.m. and were very tired, but the hotel’s director kindly allowed us to check in early. We were so happy and thankful. The breakfast was delicious. We rented an electric bike, which was very convenient. The price was only 50 yuan per day.

The location is near the cave, while the city center is a bit farther away. But that’s not a problem if you rent a bike.

Camera bellissima con vista sulle montagne, appena fuori Guilin in un piccolo villaggio con ristoranti e piste ciclabili lungofiume. Ottimo per un po' di relax.

La dueña y Emily son encantadoras, se desviven por ayudarte. Emily hablaba inglés. Te gestionan las reservas de los lugares a visitar (crucero a Yangshuo--como consejo, no merece la pena la diferencia de precio por el crucero de 4*, el de 3* cumple de sobra la función excepto por la comida--, arrozales de Longji, cueva de la Flauta...). Hubo un error en una reserva pero lo compensaron de sobra. Para el desayuno te dan 3 opciones, probamos dos y buenísimas las dos. Nos proporcionaron antimosquitos, se ofrecieron a comprarnos lo q necesitáramos para nuestra peque que tuvo algo de fiebre, etc. Limpieza muy bien también. El conductor con el que trabajan para los tours es también encantador y muy dispuesto siempre a ayudar con una gran sonrisa.

Está algo alejado (a 15min en didi del centro), necesitas coche para todo.

The rooms are beautiful (Chinese style) and spacious. The homestay is located close by the Guilin city center but on a calm isle where you can find many restaurants and a running/biking lane. The staff was adorable, greeting us in the middle of the night when we arrived, helping us put together an itinerary, showing us around. We were only there for three days but it it felt like a stay with friends or family. Definitely would recommend.

Guilin op zichzelf is een must see op je reis in China. En daarbij het geluk dat ik dit hotel heb geboekt. Ik heb in mijn rondreis door China mijn mooiste herinneringen aan de tijd daar. De mensen zijn zó hartelijk dat het hotelhost zorgt dat het voelt als een thuis. Dankzij hen heb ik in Guilin misschien wel het meest meegekregen van China en de cultuur. Niet alleen helpen ze je met het vinden van de weg en het regelen en boeken van activiteiten, ze komen ook zélf proactief met suggesties waar je zelf nooit op zou komen. Ze begeleiden je echt. Dankzij een goed Engels sprekende chauffeur bracht ik een bezoek aan een lokale theewinkel en een adembenemend uitzichtpunt op de bergen dat alleen de locals kennen. Of het nu ging om een kort ritje in de stad of een rit van 6 uur naar onze volgende bestemming: het was altijd perfect geregeld en verrassend betaalbaar. Ook voor tieners is er genoeg te doen: er is een leuk winkelcentrum met betaalbare, trendy kleding en in het hotel zelf kun je een traditionele theeceremonie beleven. Het voelde alsof ik China en de Chinese mensen écht leerde kennen, zonder zelf een woord Chinees te spreken. De service was echt heel erg goed. Altijd bereikbaar, en ik kreeg ook hulp met het bellen naar de bank vanwege mijn betaalproblemen met Alipay én met het versturen van postpakketjes. Niets is ze te veel! Betalen met creditcard was hier gelukkig ook mogelijk. Tip: probeer zeker het Guilin-ontbijt met rijstnoedels – zon/maan pagode- bezoek winkeltjes met chinese kunst en kalligrafie. De bedden zijn uitstekend, het uitzicht is waanzinnig mooi en de service is werkelijk fantastisch. Kortom: een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die naar China/ Guilin gaat!

La paz y tranquilidad y las vistas desde la habitación. También nos encantó el curso de caligrafía que nos dio la encargada del hotel. Nos invitó a una ceremonia de té muy auténtica y nos dedicó un tiempo de conversación muy interesante. Desde el hotel nos organizaron una excursión a las terrazas de arroz de Longjj con un conductor a nuestra disposición durante todo el día y muy atento en todo momento. Cien por cien recomendable.

The location is good. The neighborhood where the accommodation was located seems to have known better days before the COVID-19 lockdown. It feels like every business there struggles to reach the level they had before 2019. The staff was very friendly and helpful in organizing some sightseeing tours.

Sehr schön ruhig, schön eingerichtet. Besonders hat uns der Service gefallen. Sie haben uns direkt am ersten Abend zu einem Restaurant direkt um die Ecke begleitet und die Bestellung für uns übernommen. Am nächsten Tag haben wir gemeinsam unseren Aufenthalt geplant, um Buchung der Touristenattraktionen hat sich das Hotel gekümmert, das war eine große Hilfe.

Man ist auf ein Taxi angewiesen, die Innenstadt ist ca. 10 min Autofahrt entfernt. Sonst kann man sich direkt um die Ecke noch ein Fahrrad leihen

The owner was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to accommodate our group, especially with preparing delicious vegetarian meals—something we really appreciated! We had a very nice stay in an amazing environment. The hotel is located in a very sweet and calm village with very nice beautiful restaurants. It is located very close to the cave, which we could reach by a beautiful 15min walk. Our host Maria was amazing. She patiently advised us on everything we needed, booked tours for us, had very good restaurant suggestions, nothing was too much for her. She also organised a very nice calligraphy workshop for our kids.

The vibe in general. Very friendly and welcoming. Tried to help us in any way possible. Especially enjoyed the small talk during tea time with the ladyboss. It's a calm and quiet place. The rooms were spacious and it was not missing on anything.

The single use compressed towels, even tho it fits with the rest of the vibe. Just our personal opinion since we're not used to them.

Friendly and enthusiastic host who organised a dumpling dinner for us which was delicious. The kitchen is a great place to meet other travellers like us. I love the pond with loud frogs too, a part of natural ambience for the area.

Maria is exceptional, she did everything to make all comfortable and nice for our stay. She took her time to invite us to a tea ceremony for our wedding's anniversary. She was always helpful and give us some tips for activities and places to shop. I've learnt a lot about tea and China with her. Thank you to staff too, the girls are very kind and speak a good English. I reccomend this hotel, location is nice in a quiet neighbourhood, you can hiking, running or walking near there. Surely come back next time.

La struttura è una homestay, sapendo questo il soggiorno diventa 5 stelle!! La proprietaria Maria ma in generale tutto lo staff, sono stati carinissimi con noi e con i nostri bambini e ci hanno riempito di attenzioni e ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Abbiamo potuto provare sia la lezione di dumpling che la lezione di calligrafia (offerta dalla proprietaria) e le giornate che dovevamo uscire prima ci hanno preparato una colazione con pane e omelette. La struttura si trova in una specie di paesino/isoletta a 10 mins in macchina da Guillin ma a 2 mins a piedi ci sono vari ristorantini di cui uno (Natura), consigliato da Maria, è stato uno dei migliori ristoranti che abbiamo provato in tutto il viaggio.

It was a quiet, residential area, away from the tourist centre and with lovely views of the mountains. There were some nice neighbourhood restaurants near the inn, within walking distance. The breakfast was quite good especially the chance to try local specialities. The room was clean and the rates were good.

The place did not in any way match the description and photos of it on its website or other online platforms. This is basically a simple B&B, with no on-site restaurant (as advertised), no 'spa bathtub' (as advertised') and no 'buffet breakfast' (as advertised). Our a/c unit didn't work properly, our shower was broken, fittings were incomplete, the beds were hard, and the furniture was tired. They did offer us a second room free of charge because of this, which was helpful, but the second room also had issues - no shower door, or shower rail. The services were very limited, and staff were not always available. We were not offered any of the classes advertised on booking.com (calligraphy, tea, cooking etc).

It's a cosy little B&B type hotel in a quiet neighborhood a 10 min drive away from town. The room was mostly clean, and the host was accommodating. The layout and decor of the room with the tatami mat was very interesting .

The actual room is quite a departure from the pictures online (they look like they were taken some time ago) and there was a lack of certain basic amenities

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions in terms of restaurants and sightseeing. Their local breakfast, Guilin rice noodle, was very delicious. Highly recommended! The village is known for their homemade stone-grind tofu. Definitely worth to give it a try.

Beautiful place close to Guilin. It is located in a natural area, that's very close to the reed floote cave. You can reach it walking 15 minutes. The host is a very nice and gentile person. We really recommend to stay at her place if you want to explore the region around Guilin. Thank you again!

- There were animal sounds in the night and sometimes it was annoying and disturbed the sleep.

The whole place feels homey, comfortable, and elegantly decorated; spaces are well-appointed and facilities are sufficiently available. It gives us a sense of place, a taste of China and its culture.

This was a comfortable place to stay while in Guilin. It’s located in a quiet, charming little residential area with some restaurants and a couple of little shops to buy water or snacks. It gives you a peak into everyday life of the Chinese in that area. My daughter and I loved it. Maria was a generous host, taking time out her evening to teach us Chinese calligraphy. She also treated us to tea and provided a special gift for my daughter during our stay. She was as an exceptional host that really looked after us during our stay. We got to choose from three breakfasts, which were ready for us the next morning at the time we requested. The breakfasts were delicious and substantial, we looked forward to them. It really was a miracle we came upon this hotel and could stay there. I absolutely recommend it!

We had a great time in Beyond Villa Guilin. The whole staff is very helpful and always available. They helped us find a great river cruise and told us how to walk to the Reed Flute Cave, both of which are well worth it. It's in a cute village with good places to eat (one restaurant accepts Visa). The location was near enough to the city but far enough to be calm and quiet. We were able to walk and cycle around the countryside. The staff members were very sweet and helpful. They organized day excursions for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The room we as comfortable and the bathtub a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything! Especially the hospitality and kindness of Maria and her staff. It was like staying by a friend. We came late in the afternoon without having any bought tickets for the sightseeings (rice fields, Li cruise river) and she has arranged all for us. We would pay double via trip.com or klook. Also the next day when we have returned exhausted from the day trip, she prepared us tea, cookies and fruits. Amazing. The breakfast was delicious. The room, especially the bed very comfortable. I slept like a baby. I am very thankful to her and her team that she made our stay so great.

Thrilled we picked a serene inn of Guilin! Peaceful environment—nice for leisurely stroll. Housekeepers spoke English smoothly,top service–they've planned our trip perfectly. Smoke-free rooms (no Off-Smell!),depite near downtown,but quiet. They welcomed us with hand-made dumpling and invited us to join making, insanely tasty!

I stayed at The Beyond Villa Guilin for 2 nights. After my arrival I was given a very friendly welcome. Both in English and Chinese. The staff and the boss are very accommodating and friendly. I was invited to lunch together that same evening. This allowed me to get closer to Chinese culture in an authentic way. The room was in very good condition. Everything was clean and tidy. The hotel is in a quiet and wonderful location. It is only 5-10 minutes from Guilin city center. If you can't find the hotel straight away (it is only written in Chinese) you can call the owner and she will pick you up. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. There is something for everyone. I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend this hotel. Ich war für 2 Nächte in The Beyond Villa Guilin. Nach meiner Ankunft wurde ich sehr freundlich empfangen. Sowohl auf Englisch als in Chinesisch. Das Personal und auch die Chefin sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Ich wurde am selben Abend zu einem gemeinsamen Lunch eingeladen. Somit konnte ich der chinesischen Kultur auf eine authentische Art und Weise näher kommen. Das Zimmer war in einem sehr guten Zustand. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ruhigen und traumhaften Lage. Es ist nur 5-10 Minuten von Guilin Innenstadt entfernt. Wenn man das Hotel nicht auf Anhieb findet ( es ist nur in chinesisch ausgeschrieben) kann man die Besitzerin anrufen und man wird abgeholt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und lecker. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Mein Aufenthalt hat mir sehr gut gefallen und ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen.

Location of the hotel is in beautiful nature and conveniently close to the city. The personnel took great care of us to have a splendid vacation.

The villa is in a pretty quiet village, and it's convenient to take a taxi to the city centre. It's next to the amazing Reed flute cave as well. There are nice local restaurant and the price is reasonable. The villa is traditional Chinese style with tea table, calligraphy table,share kitchen and dining place... The owner is very kind to make tea ceremony for us. The butlers are so friendly and good English to assist us to arrange everything what we asked. I love the atmosphere right there, made me feel like home.

Location is a bit out of the city

An excellent place to stay with character in the small Lujiacun village near Guilin. About a 10 minute DiDi ride into the city center. The rooms were spacious and elegantly designed. It’s not the Hyatt, so please know that you are getting a charming B&B-style stay in a quiet village. The village has a lot of character, with hanging sausages and tofu stalls around, quite different from the city. The innkeepers are very friendly and helped us to book Li River cruises. They are very responsive and provided access to their kitchen and gave extra teacups for my family. Breakfast was provided as 3 options (2 western style options and 1 option of Guilin rice noodles). Overall, an excellent and comfortable stay in a quiet village, away from the hustle and bustle, while getting a cultural experience as an international tourist.

No real complaints other than the location being farther away from the city center if you want more restaurant options (other than the local cuisine) and grocery stores. There are a few convenience stores in the village. The tofu stalls are a cheap way to get food nearby and everyone accepts WeChat or AliPay.

My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.

This hostel is excellent. The staff takes good care of us and speaks English, which is very good. Also provided help for our tourism in Guilin, here is very good, there is a leisure trail, people are very relaxed, I think I will come back. 朝起きたときの景色がとても素晴らしく、大満足でした。夜ご飯は、近くのお店を案内していただき、そのお店も安くて美味しく、店内の雰囲気もとても良かったです。朝ご飯を注文していましたが、急遽予定が早まり、時間に間に合わなさそうだと伝えたところ、サンドイッチを包んで持たせてくださいました。また、困ったことがあった際に教えていただいたWeChatで連絡すると、すぐに対応していただきました。おかげさまで、とても満足のいく旅になりました。ありがとうございました。

We are happy that we stayed in this hotel, the staff was really kind to us. We met the owner and she was really nice. They helped us with everything so thanks to them the trip was amazing! The property was clean.

Great location outside of the busy centre of Guilin. Staff is wonderful, Zoe took great care of us. She is a gem.

Podejście personelu. Super kontakt z Zoe która dbała o wszystkie nasz potrzeby, szybko odpowiadała na Wechat, przygotowywała super śniadania, pomogła nam w organizacji czasu w trakcie pobytu. Generalnie super gościnność. Położenie obiektu w spokojnej okolicy, ładny, zadbany dom jednak z drugiej strony trzeba się liczyć z tym, że bez DiDi ciężko poruszać się po okolicy

民宿很棒，周边风景很好，房间内干净舒适安静，民宿内有茶，还有沉香的味道，雅致安静。最惊喜的是民宿周边的环江步道，美的如画，有很多本地人遛狗散步的，特别放松。出行也方便，打车到两江四湖大概十几分钟，管家很热情，给了我们很多游玩的建议和解答，总之是很开心的一段旅程。

The staff were friendly and helpful with any queries. They arranged a day trip following the itinerary we requested, this was a great trip and good value. There is a nice walk along the river but otherwise the place is quite remote, needing a taxi to take you anywhere. There are a couple of shops selling drinks and a couple of restaurants in the commune type complex. The room we stayed in was in need of re-decoration. There was signs of damp and the room was quite dated. Breakfast is made fresh for you.

Le personnel très sympathique et très attentionné. Melle PING notamment a fait rouvrir un restaurant juste pour nous à notre arrivée un peu tardive (4 personnes seulement) puis a passé une partie de sa journée le lendemain à nous faire livrer avec succès à l'hôtel de notre étape suivante un vêtement oublié chez eux !!!

Die Lage ist etwas ausserhalb von Guilin in einem kleinen Vorort, indem man sehr gut mit Fahrrädern durch die Gegend radeln kann; tolle Aussichtspunkte sind zum Teil mit dem Fahrrad gut erreichbar;

Wow! The staff here is very friendly. She loved telling us about all the best local spots. You can really feel the warmth of her service. On our first night there, we didn't want to go out because we were tired after a long day of travel so the staff showed us a demonstration of pouring Chinese tea using the artistic tea set they have. She also gave us some local Chinese desserts so that we could enjoy a quiet night drinking tea and chatting. A very personal experience.
