The rooms are very nice, and although the breakfast is simple, it is prepared very quickly and is always fresh. The host also pays attention to each guest’s preferences, which makes the stay feel more personal and welcoming.

The description of the location on Booking.com is not quite accurate.

I was travelling alone and I was very happy with my room and the staff. The owner and his son where very kind and I especially enjoyed the electric motorcycles which you could ride free of charge. I was out every day discovering the city. It was amazing! I will return to this hotel when I come back to visit Guilin

The staff is so kind, they gave us tea and food at the check-in and also at the check out (banana, water and tissues). The position is 15 minutes by car from the city center but I appreciated the calm and quiet place (which is needed in China) The breakfast was really good

L’accoglienza e la disponibilità dello staff. Sempre presenti e disponibili. Ottima colazione e camere pulite e dotate di ogni servizio. Il valore aggiunto è il noleggio dello scooter elettrico che permette di raggiungere il centro in 10 minuti evitando il traffico. Consiglierò la struttura a chiunque dovesse trovarsi da queste parti.

Struttura molto bella ed accogliente, offrono gratuitamente molti comfort diversi come la possibilità di prendere il motorino elettrico, ci sono venuti a prendere in stazione e la colazione inclusa è molto buona e abbondante (possibilità di scegliere se cinese o continentale). Inoltre noi abbiamo scelto la stanza con incluso un massaggio di un’ora infine la nostra stanza aveva sia un ampio terrazzo esterno con la vasca all’aperto oltre la doccia. Presente nella stanza il tè di benvenuto. Servizio di lavanderia incluso, ma i vestiti arrivano stropicciati. Manca l’ascensore ma compensano questa mancanza con il trasporto in camera delle valigie.

The entire team was exceptionally kind, friendly, professional, and helpful, but a special mention absolutely goes to Xiaoming, who was one of the most welcoming and attentive hosts we have ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, free laundry service, and free electric scooters, which we could use whenever we wanted to explore the area. We also received a lovely welcome drink, and breakfast , with both European and Asian options available. The room was exactly as shown in the photos — beautiful, clean, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and you can genuinely feel the care and attention the team puts into their guests. We are absolutely delighted with our stay and could not have asked for better hospitality. A huge thank you and congratulations to the entire team for providing such exceptional service and making us feel so welcome.

Un établissement simple, mais où l’on se sent immédiatement pris en charge dès l’arrivée. L’accueil est vraiment personnalisé : l’hôte prend le temps de vous expliquer le fonctionnement et utilise avec beaucoup de gentillesse le téléphone et les outils de traduction pour communiquer dans votre langue. Tout est pensé pour vous accueillir au mieux, du premier contact jusqu’au départ. Une attention et une disponibilité qui rendent le séjour particulièrement agréable.

Aunque está lejos del centro, el lugar es muy tranquilo, cosa de agradecer en Guilin. El dueño es muy diligente y servicial, nos ofreció té y sandía al llegar, y nos dio todo tipo de facilidades para lavar la ropa y coger una moto eléctrica gratis desde el alojamiento. La habitación tenía un rincón en la ventana muy agradable para tomar el té, leer y descansar.

Quizás falta un poco de luz en las habitaciones. La luz tenue es agradable pero a veces hubiésemos necesitado algo más de luz.

La camera molto bella e pulita. La posizione era fantastica in una zona immersa nel verde. La colazione molto buona e il personale super accogliente e disponibile. Offrono anche dei servizi extra come tour e esperienze ben organizzate. Lo consiglio per un soggiorno a Guilin!

I letti comodi, le moto elettriche a disposizione, colazione pantagruelica, il fatto che ti lavino i vestiti gratuitamente (!!!), l’host Xiaoping un vero tutto fare risolvi problemi al grido di “watermelon!!”, ci chiamava i taxi, ci ha aggiustato degli occhiali, ha recuperato da mangiare per i bambini la prima sera anche se fuori orario, davvero gentilissimo, una trottola!!!

The staff are incredible, so friendly and helpful. Will assist in organising any tours you're interested in. Laundry service provided, breakfast included and the staff really work hard to make your stay easy and enjoyable. We had a lovely stay here. Price is very reasonable for a comfortable room.

Trotzdem wir erstspät am Hotel angekommen sind, wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Konnten am späten Abend sogar für den nächsten Tagen Ausflüge buchen. Unser Tourguide Jeff war einmalig und wir können ihn nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es wurde immer Obst gereicht. Am Hotel konnte man kostenlos Mopeds nutzen und wer wollte kostenlos seine Wäsche waschen lassen.

The location and facilities are good. The staff services are outstanding, especially Xiao Ming. He is very thoughtful, caring and provides meaningful tour plan for us. The added complimentary pickup at the train station for the six of us was a surprise to us. The free laundry service and e-bike was another surprise as well. He recommended the restaurant for dinner super yummy, we patronise twice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

The manager was so very friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Complementary pick-up and return to the train station worked perfectly. The location, out of the city, was what we wanted.

The property was a little run-down and in need of refreshing but this was perhaps reflected in the price.

Lovely host

The hotel is ideally located just outside Guilin, around a 15-minute drive from the city centre, in a calm and relaxing area surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The host and staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional throughout the stay. The room was clean, well maintained, and featured a very comfortable bed. The hotel also offers very good lunch and dinner options, making it easy to enjoy quality meals on site if you don't want to eat at the near by restaurants which are also excellent. The complimentary transfer from the train station is a thoughtful bonus. A particular highlight was the one-hour massage included with the booking, which was excellent. Qing, our tour guide and driver, was friendly, professional, and highly knowledgeable. The Lijiang Photography Tour + Ruyi Peak Scenic Area day tour was especially memorable and very well organised. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Longji Rice Terraces tour the following day due to torrential rain and landslides, which was naturally beyond the hotel’s control. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, enhanced by attentive hospitality and a peaceful setting.

The room could benefit from additional space or fixtures to hang clothes more comfortably. Breakfast was excellent in quality, although the selection remained somewhat limited.

L'accueil et le service proposé par l’hotel et par le personnel est parfait. Un taxi est venu nous chercher à la gare aux frais de l’hotel (pareil pour le retour). L’hotel mettait à disposition gratuitement des scooters électriques (car l’hotel est à 10 15min en scooter du centre ville, mais c’est parfait car très calme). Le personnel est au petit soin : le service est excellent ! La vue de la chambre sur les montagnes étaient très belle.

Amazing views, great breakfast and very comfortable beds. Location is good - a little bit outside the city center, but it is nicely quiet. The hotel provides free electric scooters which is great transportation around Guilin

On the outside it needs a bit of love.

Suburban setting, birds chirping early in the morning. The coffee was good, brewed by the owner himself, but the food choice was not attractive, either local Chinese noodle or western toast and fried egg, same for all 3 days.

Poor soundproofing, opening and closing of doors can be heard loudly. Very dark surroundings at night, even taxi drivers feel uncomfortable. Far from city center.

The property was very clean and spacious. I especially liked the free scooters provided at no fuss, to explore the surrounding areas and cruise into the city for supplies. Free breakfast was also a nice touch.

Очень милое местечко с классным сервисом, бесплатным байком и прачечной. Очень хороший хозяин отеля, во всем помогает. Приятный номер, уютный, есть балкон, вкусный чай и мандаринки. До Яншо выгоднее ехать с ним за 200 юаней, чем на поезде + такси (по итогу самим вышло дороже). Место - великолепное, мы влюбились в Гуйлинь и Яншо!

It was in a perfect location. The manager of the property would do anything for you. Over and above!!!! The free hire of the electric scooters was a major bonus. My wife and I had a wonderful massage and this was also free. All up, great hotel and great service.

When we first got there, we thought what have we done. But the place grows on you. It was so sad to hear the story how Covid destroyed the area, so many empty properties. Felt sorry for the locals.

Tranquil and full of character

We were five people and they gave us this beautiful villa with two bedrooms, well decorated, clean and so aesthetically beautiful! The place is in a gated area full of ancient looking traditional style Chinese buildings, the breakfast area was close to the property and it had fresh meals, fruit and coffee or tea. I can’t wait to go back to Guilin just to stay here again! Additional pro: the property gave us e-bikes that we could use to go for a ride around the countryside area!!!

The villa is located in a secluded area, far from the hustle of the city, but still easy to reach by Didi or scooter, which are offered to guest to be used for free during the stay. Xiaming, the owner of the place, is a very nice person, very helpful and kind. He carried both our really heavy bags up the stairs to our room on the 2nd floor. He gave us complimentary bottles of water, mandarines and napkins everytime we left the villa for a tour and when we did the checkout. The breakfast was also nice, being able to choose between Asia and European version. The room was nice and cosy. Though there is no central heating in the room, the air conditioning and the electric heated top mattress were more than enough.

Das Hotel ist einem kleinen schönen Quartier eingebettet. Der Betreiber war sehr angenehm und dienstleistungsorientiert. Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber sehr gemütlich. Auf Anfrage hin, wurde die Wäsche nicht auf den Folgetag, sondern innerhalb mehrer Stunden erledigt.

I loved the healthy breakfast every morning - fruits and eggs with toast. It was the same every morning, but I knew what to expect and it was always fresh. We loved the free scooters and had fun riding them!

The description said that the sofas in the living room of our villa are pullout couches but they’re not. In the end, we didn’t need them but we had thought to use the pullouts.

Toilet. Toilet tissue after cleaning can not throw into the toilet bowl. It has to be thrown into the basket. Otherwise, it will chock the toilet.

Изначально, при подъезде к отелю, вызвало сомнения, что будет соответствовать фото, но в итоге все прекрасно) Очень гостеприимный был прием, в самом отеле есть европейское меню, хороший завтрак. Мы брали номер с ванной на террасе. Приезд был в холодное время и жирный плюс отелю за: отличный напор и нагрев горячей воды (ванной удалось воспользоваться несмотря на погоду), обогрев кондиционером и одеяло с электроподогревом. Всем рекомендую воспользоваться массажем, прям в отеле делали в другом номере. 60 минут массажа ног полный улет.

Excellent service! The staff were so helpful with everything: from restaurant recommendations; in-room dining; in-room massages; they were very quick at addressing our questions.

The room was well prepared before our arrival. It was cold and the room and prepared to keep us warm even before our arrival. Beds had heating pads and their room for families with kids was amazing. Enough toys and things to keep a 4 year old busy throughout. Comfortable bunk bed with double bed on the lower deck and single on the upper deck. On the whole nothing to complain.

De eigenaar van het hotel was zo enorm attent en behulpzaam! Hij stond ons op te wachten buiten in de kou toen we pas om 23.30 's avonds aankwamen met de taxi bij het hotel. Gaf ons direct wat fruit mee naar onze kamer. Wanneer we een dagtripje gingen maken had hij een tasje met eten en drinken klaar staan. We hadden het niet beter kunnen treffen. Daarnaast ook een super fijne kamer, netjes, schoon en de locatie van het hotel bevond zich in een prachtige omgeving.

Rooms didn't meet expectations: our bathroom didn't have the door but just a curtain to separate from the bedroom (not the best for two people) and the WC was leaking on the floor. In another room the sink was leaking.

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil réservé par le gérant M. Xiaming, il nous a mis tout de suite à l'aise et s'est efforcé de rendre notre séjour agréable. Malgré l'éloignement de l'hôtel par rapport au centre de Guilin, le gérant met à la disposition de ses clients gratuitement des scooters électriques. Il offre également à titre gracieux une navette entre la gare et l'hôtel. L'hôtel est parfait lorsque l'on aime être en pleine nature. Celui-ci est entouré de montagne et de verdure au sein d'un petit village.

Leggermente lontana dal centro

Na de drukte en chaos van Hong Kong was onze aankomst bij Secret Courtyard Resort echt een verademing. Xiao Ming stond ons letterlijk springend van blijdschap op te wachten. Wat een warm welkom! We kregen meteen vers fruit en een kop heerlijke thee en dat gevoel van gastvrijheid is ons hele verblijf gebleven. De kamer was perfect: ruim, schoon en met een geweldige badkamer. Heerlijke bedden ook. Prachtig uitzicht. We hoefden werkelijk nergens om te vragen. Het personeel dacht overal aan. Elke dag kregen we weer vers fruit, wat een fijne verrassing was. We hebben ook een dagtour met Qin gedaan. Absoluut een aanrader! En de gratis scooterservice maakte het nog leuker en gemakkelijker om de omgeving te verkennen. De locatie is ideaal: vlak bij het centrum van Guilin, maar toch in een gezellige, lokale community met leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand. De grootste verrassing was het afscheidspakket dat we kregen van Xiao Ming. Een tas vol water, fruit en bier. Dat had hij niet hoeven doen, maar hij deed het wel. Kortom: een fantastisch verblijf voor een geweldige prijs. We zouden Secret Courtyard Resort aan iedereen aanraden die naar Guilin reist!

Un très agréable établissement. Plein de charme. Un accueil remarquable avec un hôte très disponible pour tout. Une mise à disposition de scooter électrique pour les balades en ville (15 mins du centre) et aux alentours. Un petit déjeuner correct ( fruits toasts ou déjeuner chinois). En bref une très belle adresse à dans un cadre excentré et agréable.

Peut-être être la vétusté de la salle de bain. Mais un tout petit détail.

the location of thr hotel is in a quiet village, perfect if you want to enjoy nature and a peaceful time in Guilin. The rooms are great, the staff helped us with absolutely everything, breakfast was tasty and you can even use their motorbikes for free... we came back again and will do it next year!

Colazione ottima, con scelta di occidentale o cinese. Davvero impossibile avere di più.

Hotel con poche camere, su due piani in una zona di campagna con vista montagne di Guilin. Il centro di raggiunge con tre euro, 15 minuti di taxi o se vi fidate l'host mette a disposizione scooter elettrici gratuiti. La gentilezza e la disponibilità dell'host fanno la differenza

Loved my stay here. Owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast and all you can eat watermelon. They have free scooters, which is great to see the surrounding area. Hotel is also near the cave in the area. Rooms were large and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Owner helped us to arrange the cruise down the Li River, which was great and recommended, and arranged a driver to pick us up at the other end. Wish we could have stayed longer here.

Il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole. L'hotel si trova alla periferia di Guilin in una zona molto tranquilla. A poche centinaia di metri si trovano un paio di ristoranti, tra cui una specie di agriturismo dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene. In hotel la colazione era molto basica ma per noi andava bene così. Se non si ha voglia di uscire si può ordinare tipo take away. Il nostro host è stato fantastico, tramite lui abbiamo prenotato l'escursione privata alle risaie ed è stata veramente molto bella. Sempre in hotel abbiamo prenotato i massaggi e anche qui tutto benissimo.

The location is slightly away from the main city, which we actually appreciated, as it gave us more tranquility while still being accessible by car or taxi. It’s also convenient to reach several tourist attractions in the area. Overall, this was a great stay and we would happily come back!

Great host. Apartment was big and very very clean. Good breakfast as well. Excursions from the hotel were on the pricey side, but found them totally worth it. Host very helpful and friendly, free laundry, restaurants around.

Sehr sehr liebes und freundliches Personal, man wäscht gratis (!) die Wäsche, man kann sich kostenlos einen der e-Roller leihen, auf Nachfrage wurden Lebensmittel von mir im Kühlschrank gelagert, man hat extra mit Früchten (Hälfte war von mir, Hälfte vom Hotel) einen Smoothie für mich zubereitet. Massage wurde zu später Stunde nach einem Ausflug noch durchgeführt, obwohl ich nicht mehr damit gerechnet hatte, weil es so spät geworden war. Trotz eines Missverständnisses bei einem Ausflug wurde die Rückfahrt vom Hotel übernommen, obwohl der Pickup Punkt eigentlich ganz woanders lag. Hier wird der Gast auch wie ein solcher behandelt, man geht die Extrameile, um alles möglich zu machen. Zum Abschied gab es sogar noch ein Schälchen geschnittene Wassermelone, Wasserflaschen und ein traditioneller Stickaufnäher. Kann diese Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen. Es war großartig.
