We did not eat breakfast. We did not like the fact that a microwave was not in the room. We weren't inform that we would have to pay for parking. We would not have been in Birmingham if my grandson was not having open heart surgery. I Think some kind discount should have been given on the room.

It would have been more informative if all the fees and charges were know up front.

Had a wonderful stay experience. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, Van driver who happened to be named Van was great very knowledgeable about the area and helpful.

We only stayed there or one night, My wife, my son and myself. We were given our room and when we got there the room had been partially cleaned. The beds were made but there was rubbish & food waste left in the room. To cut a very long story short, and an hour later we were given another room. The pool area was filthy, see photographs. On checkout we were told our one night valet parking was not charged, and two drinks at the bar were also not charged, so no charges to the room. However the following day, my bank statement said the opposite, we have been charged. Let’s hope I get refunded. PS. The manager on our check-in was so miserable and rude, not good for the Hilton brand.

Staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Clean room, comfortable good linens, plentiful and quick hot water, close-up mirror in bathroom, and good room size. The room decor was very nice and focused on the locality. Everything in the room seemed in good working order except the HVAC. Other great features were a restaurant and coffee bar on the premises and free shuttle transport to the hospitals or airport. Location is very convenient to all the hospitals and clinics in Birmingham.

The air conditioner was passed its last performance life. It was so noisy that as soon as I walked into the room, I sat down my bags and called the front desk. Instead of offering me another room, they offered to send someone from engineering. He promptly came to look at it and made some adjustments to help it cool down the room but couldn't do anything about the noise. I asked if the air conditioners were this loud in all the rooms, and he said, "Pretty much." Therefore, he left, and I unpacked. Maybe some people act out or have a tantrum and maybe get a quieter room, but that's not me. Even with the curtains completely closed, the A/C struggled to keep the room cool. The temperature didn't go below 73 degrees until the middle of the night. I measured the decibel level of the noise, and it was at 95 decibels, which continued all night. That level is comparable to a bus engine, which is exactly what it sounded like. It was measured as louder than a noisy restaurant, and it definitely was. Needless to say, we didn't sleep very well. I feel like this is a known problem because they didn't offer a better room, and the engineer didn't see it as a problem. But, as I said, the measurement on an actual decibel meter was continuously at 95 decibels. So this is not just me being overly sensitive. I'm sorry, but even with all the good things this hotel has to offer, I can not recommend it based on the noisy HVAC that prevents a good night's rest.

Loved that there was a parking garage attached to the hotel. My daughter, grandbaby and myself felt safe.

I don’t really have any dislikes other than there were only 2 washcloths for the 3 of us.

Several positives! Excellent, helpful and professional staff at the front desk at this hotel. Parking was easy, in a lot next door, and excellent location if your goal is to be close to UAB. Starbucks in the lobby for your morning coffee is always so appreciated. Beds were comfortable. Things I didn’t like - Several guests (8 rooms total) staying on the floor where I was, left their fast food, take out dinner/trash outside of their rooms instead of finding a trash can to dispose of the trash. These discards stayed outside of rooms overnight and created unpleasant odors and didn’t exactly create a clean and tidy vibe. Trash was also overflowing out front when I entered the lobby. I was overall disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel - the bathrooms, both in the lobby and in my room were not as clean as I expected. Showers, toilets, sinks, etc. did not feel sanitized or clean. My room also had a sour smell almost like someone had spilled beer or another beverage on the carpet. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again due to the cleanliness issues.

We booked this hotel for a medical treatment visit to UAB and was not disappointed. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Ms. Tracy who helped me extend my stay on two occasions due to changes in our departure plans. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone receiving care at UAB Hospital or the Kirklin Clinic. They offer shuttles to/from the airport, to/from the medical facilities and other businesses close by.

Carpet was dirty and the bathroom was “old”. We were not given vouchers at check-in and were unaware until we went to breakfast . The breakfast area was very dirty. It was not stocked .The floors looked like they had not been cleaned the night before. Our bartender we had on Saturday night did not know how to make drinks and he told us that too.

Friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Shuttle to and from the hospital was appreciated.

Tracy and Taylor at the front deck were so helpful !! They were amazing and super sweet.

Great experience. Friendly staff, Taylor did a wonderful job helping us check in and making sure we had everything we needed (we came for our son’s wedding, so we had a lot of baggage, etc.). Our view overlooking the city was wonderful! Thanks Hilton and thanks Taylor!

Very nice room with comfortable bed. Good shower, but it takes a while to warm up. Shuttle service is offered for close by restaurants. On-site bar and grill with wonderful staff. Front desk staff isn't very present or helpful.

We had a great girls trip and topped it off with a wonderful breakfast at the Blazer Grill. Amethyst was a wonderful server and eager to please to provide our needs. The food was delicious with a great atmosphere.

All of the staff was extremely helpful and warm. A special shout out to Justice at Blazers who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful breakfast experience!

The rooms were noce nice and comfortable. Not quite as clean as I’d like, but clean enough. I will say that the staff (especially Shaud, our shuttle driver) was great!

My experience with the Blazers Grill in the Hilton in Birmingham at UAB start 4-12-26 was great service had great service talk to Erika, Justice need anything they was there until Wednesday 4-15-26 morning for breakfast the regular cook(Elijah) wasn't in for the next 2 days it was the lady cook(Meka) Cook Sup I order pancake, scrambled eggs with cheese cooked in it not scrambled egg w/cheese melted on top of it. Got grits(lumpy and look like cream of something)and bacon. Wasn't what I expected from the days before. Had waitress Justice who help us and she was doing her best which was all the work by herself it was another waitress(Jackie) but she wasn't doing much. Came back Friday 4-17-26 and Erika, Justice and Elijah(guy cook) was there and the food was good. Tyrah(Breakfast Supervisor) came to apologize for the other day 4-15-26 for the food. I do give the lady's Erika, Justice and Elijah(guy cook)a 10+++ for all the help (service)when we do come in the restaurant. The rating is only for 4-15-26!!

I want to write a review on the Barista Jakayla. She is amazing, she has a wonderful disposition and pleasing personality!! She really takes time with her customers and makes sure that they have a wonderful coffee experience with her. She makes sure your coffee or tea is exactly like you ordered. We need a lot more Jakayla's!!!

I want to give a shout out for Jakayla Edwards at the Hilton Starbucks! She has a sweet spirit and is real focused on pleasing the customer. She warmed up my pastry for me and got my morning off to a good start!

I didn't think it was appropriate for us to have to pay for parking at the hotel parking garage that's just not right in my opinion so that's one huge turn off to my stay.

Overall wonderful stay, checked in last night for work. Everyone was lovely while checking in and later into the night when I asked if they had a Publix near by, they offered to drive me there. Breakfast presentation was beautiful as well as delicious. Erika and Amethyst were so accommodating during breakfast, with great service. Over all, every interaction with staff at this hotel has been so warm and helpful.

Very nice, clean and updated rooms! The staff are all bright and bubbly especially Amethyst in the restaurant! Breakfast was yummy- we ordered off menu and had buffet and both were great! (Amethyst’s co-worker was great too- they made a great team!). We are in Bham often and will definitely stay here again.

Great location; lots of amenities within walking distance. Rooms facing the street, however, can be noisy.

We had such a great experience. I visited with 4 small kids (8,6,4, and 2). The lady who waited on us, her name was Amethyst, she was fantastic! We had such a wonderful time and felt more than taken care of. She took the time to make sure the kids and myself had everything we needed, and it can be hard traveling with small kids. I would highly recommend asking for her if you visit, she was superb.

Seem like the overall charge for the room was sufficient to warrant free parking.

Staff was very courteous, helpful AND patient!!! I lost my keycard within 10mins of checking in and the lady behind the counter just smiled n made me another one! This was my second stay n I'll be back next year for my tests at the Kirkland clinic....thank you...also allowing me to leave my car there while I had my appts.

Location was great to get to my orientation for the university. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. There was also a Starbucks within the location.

Breakfast was buffet style and was subpar for nearly 20 dollars a person. The TV remote did not work well if you are laying in bed. The sink faucet and handles were loose and moved around when trying to turn them on/off. Two nights for a regular room cost nearly 500 dollars.

Our stay at the Hilton was great. Every staff member was super friendly. Erica waited on us at the Blazers Grill. She took great care of us. The breakfast buffet was great. The beds were comfortable and our room was clean. Will def be back.

Only complaint was our tv didn’t turn on and our wind drain was closed and couldn’t open it so water wouldn’t drain our first night. They came and fixed it for us the next day and after they left we realized the volume wouldn’t turn up at all. We just gave up at that point.

We had to get moved from one room to another because the room was flooding. Once we got to our new room our bathroom flooded and messed you up some of our clothes!

We have stayed at this hotel 20+ times over the last year due to my wife going to UAB. When booking on-line from their website, you can add an "additional guest" so that they may check-in when the person that makes the reservations does not go. The staff always gave my wife issues checking in if I was not there. If you make reservations, don't hold your breath. We had reservations for 2.25.26 that were made on 2.21.26. On our way to Birmingham, I received a call from the hotel asking if we still needed the room? I told them yes, we were on the way. When we got to the hotel, the hotel management cancelled our reservations anyway. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Do not recommend staying here. It is way overpriced as well.

It is super convenient to the UAB campus. My daughter is an athlete and loved seeing the updated UAB pics on the wall.
