Homewood Suites by Hilton Birmingham Downtown Near UAB

The location was convenient with lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The cleaning staff knocked on our door at 8:00 am to ask if we were checking out.

Loved it

Everything

Location and staff

The Mattress was not cushioned like my last stay so I slept on top of a pillow. The bathroom LED light was going out so it flickered everytime we turned on the light. The TV was so bright that the images looked distorted.

gym

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating.

We don't have any complaints

My family and I have been saying at this hotel since April due to unforeseen circumstances causing emergency damage to our house. When we started working here, a lady named Shundra was the manager, and she was AWESOME. The staff was great, the hotel was so accommodating, our stay was perfect. As soon as she left and Diane Borkowski took over as the manager, this place has become awful. Diane is hired through the company that owns this hotel, AUM Enterprises, and is listed as the company’s regional director of operations. She could not care less about guests. She forced us to stop parking in the parking lot behind the hotel and relocated us to an entirely different lot blocks away that is not safe for me and my 1 year old child to walk to and from. She has no regard for what customers want or need. I would stay far away from her and far away from any hotel that she is associated with due to her lack of empathy for customers and selfishness. She will expect you to pay for parking that is not on site, and that is in an area you would not want to be walking around by yourself during evening and night hours. It’s so sad to see the negative change she has brought to this hotel. We will be leaving ASAP and never returning or recommending this place to anyone.

The rooms where very nice. Good location. Great breakfast. The staff of exceptionally helpful and kind.

Parking you have to park a block away in a public parking garage.

The location

The staff at the front desk was very rude and didn’t Acknowledge us and the young lady gave us a dirty room from the kitchen to the bedroom it was nasty

Large room Clean Well supplied kitchen Quiet Comfortable bed Good breakfast Friendly staff

Everything, the employees care here. Perfect location too!

Nothing

We were told that we could check in early because my wife just had surgery that am. We got here and nothing had been done. Waited an hour before room was ready. No parking at hotel! Closest lot was 2 blocks. $31.00 a day. Promised refreshments that evening only to find out that there was an extra cost for items! Rooms were decent, but Drury Inn is so much better! Never again. Never

Location was excellent.

Parking was not great.

Cleanliness

Breakfast the meat option for people that don’t eat pork

Rooms were really nice.

Pool is way too small. Very overcrowded and needs better ventilation. My eyes hurt being in the pool area. The breakfast was 5/10

Location and actual facility itself. It had all we could want under one roof?

N/A......loved it all!

Clean

It said pool and pool is closed. I got the room for the pool

Never stayed in the room

I was unaware that the pool was not open so I did not stay in the room

The location was ideal for the event we attended.

Parking was awkward although not unusual for an urban setting. It would have been nice to have an EV charging station.

Todo el personal y el hotel es una maravilla volveré

It’s closer to downtown .

Cleanliness and friendly staff

The pool was having a difficult time

Loved it

Love it

It was very clean and up to date. The staff were amazing. The lady working the front desk was so kind and had exceptional customer service skills

There were no negatives or dislikes during our stay.

We loved that our room was so clean and spacious since we had our 2 kids with us. The room had plenty of seating for everyone without having to sit on the bed. We enjoyed the full size fridge in our room also since we stayed several nights!

We were a little disappointed in the size of the indoor pool. The pictures online make it look a lot bigger than what it actually was but besides that everything was perfect. We did struggle figuring out how to park at first not knowing it was a gated parking lot in the back, once we parked upfront and checked in and paid for a spot in the gated parking lot then it was no big deal.b

Location, room, indoor pool and breakfast! The breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel property in years and years!

Nothing.

Breakfast was good and a nice perk.

I should have researched the parking. Did not expect to pay $20 just to park in an outside lot. View was not good. Window blinds not fully operational....maybe to keep you from seeing the view.

I like it very much.

Water pooling in the washbasin

Nice breakfast and staff, convenient parking, was clean too. Large rooms.

My son mistakenly entered locked room next to ours using the card pass to our room. Why did our room card pass allow entry into another room? A couple from Houston, TX told me when they went to their room after checking in it was already occupied by someone else when they entered. Something is not working with the hotels card room pass system.

Location, cleanliness

When we arrived, we were told we couldn’t check in until after 4 even though check in is listed as 3. We had been driving all day and once we did get our room, after we had entered we were told we needed to switch rooms because we had received the wrong room. As we were waiting to finalize everything they told us AGAIN we were in the wrong room and had to change. It was a mess, was not happy. Will not be staying there again.

My room

Didn't like that you had to pay for parking it should automatically come with the room when you book

Everything was great!

Elevator was kind of sluggish

The room was spacious, wifi was constant, streaming channels were available, bedding was nice; I and my child slept well. Breakfast was outstanding; they even had overnight oats and chis pudding. Warning: Get to Breakfast before 7am; after that you're at the mercy of people who do not know how to use tongs and will touch the bread items with their hands and put it back.

Children touching food with their hands.

Love this hotel. Shundra and her team are so professional, kind, and welcoming. The rooms are clean; the breakfast is delicious

Great location

No major complaints

Room was large , very nice .

The bed was awful. We were told breakfast was at 615. We came down at 6 to leave and people were eating . So we missed breakfast .

awful and was always empty

eggs were fake.. and cold.. bacon way too greasy... warm apple juice

We did not have breakfast

I think a hotel charging $25 per night to park a patron’s vehicle was a bit much since there were no other options for parking. Also, it was advertised as “secure”, behind a fence with a passcode to drive in. However, it was wide open to foot traffic.

The location to my doctor appointment and the room was nice and clean.

The appearance and location

Location was great

The price was a little bit high

I had an early appointment at UAB hospital and booked a room to stay the night before. Everything was wonderful. Although I wasn't able to use my military discount, the room was very nice and the beds were super comfortable.

Location

Staff was very rude & non accommodating

Nice clean and convenient

Nice spacious clean room and awesome guest service

The parking because we had to park in public parking upon arrival.. in a parking deck because all of the hotel parking was not available... I was told that I had to wait until someone checked out the next day to be able to park at the hotel.. the hotel needs to be more transparent about guest parking

The staff was courteous.

There was a party going on with very loud people and music near our room. I complained but the staff never gained control of the situation. We could not sleep because of it. We were there because we had early morning doctor appointments and needed to sleep.

Not alot

Only 1 elevator, police beating on my door because someone was smoking Marijuana in the hotel.. cost 25$ for parking per day!

The hotel itself was very good

The room was no

The breakfast was great!

I don't have any complaints.

The room was spacious and quiet and was clean..was close to hospital which is why we were there and everyone was friendly..breakfast was good..

Didn't like having to pay 25.00 a night to park where I payed to stay..

Clean

Parking and having to use door way around back not a good area to load or unload ..

Everything was fine. Very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was great. The hotel was very clean. it was a great location, room was nice. it is a very nice hotel to stay. it has a parking.

Everything was great, just one person from the breakfast was a little be rude (But i think that is Birmingham).

Was clean comfortable good value

Pool was full of chlorine
