Good location and view from superior room. The staff and view from Herbs Garden and the breakfast staff

V poor checking in process about midnight on 14th September, ignored for 5 plus minutes by staff member on phone. Lovely manager of Herbs Garden then came to reception and we asked for his help. This promoted the night manager to produce a form whilst still on the phone and say ‘sign here’ ! To which I replied ‘please’ ! Unfortunate first impression . Other staff fine.

Zentrum in fünf Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Parking ist im Parkhaus Central Parking, drei Gehminuten entfernt und 24/24 bedient und überwacht. Kosten: 13 € pro Tag. Die Strasse ist stark frequentiert, aber wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind, hört man davon überhaupt nichts. Personal ist äusserst freundlich.

Très proche de toute les commodités

La vue sur le port et la forteresse est très chouette. Petit balcon avec 1 chaise. Un petit frigo silencieux. Literie très confortable. Calme, on n'entend ni les voisins ni le personnel d'entretien dans les couloirs. Le resto en rooftop est également très bien, jolie vue, sunset. On peut se garer partout gratuitement assez facilement toujours à proximité. Le point de départ idéal pour les virées à pied, centre commerçant très proche. La 1/2 pension :plutôt des plats simples : pâtes, poulet purée. Très bien cuisinés nonobstant ! Personnel de restauration sympa ,serviable et efficace. Pain sans gluten sur demande.

Chambre supérieure vue mer Je fais en sorte de m'accommoder du positif mais je suis assez déçue dans l'ensemble. Chambre petite , mal agencée. Sol pas propre le premier jour. Pas de quoi faire sécher son linge sur le balcon. Cabinet de toilette vieillissant et penderie exigus. Il est déconseillé par le personnel de boire l'eau du robinet très calcaire et surtout très javelisée. La 1/2 pension : j'entendais parler d'octopus par les voisins de table. Perso sur ma carte je n'avais pas ce choix. Le petit déjeuner : quasi que de l'industriel. En tant que voyageuse solo, j'ai systématiquement été reléguée aux tables les moins bien placées, celles à l'écart. J'ai pris le meilleur car il y a toujours du bon mais je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel et je ne le conseillerais pas à mes amis.

Avevo prenotato una camera che dalle foto sembrava fosse con la vita davanti alla Fortezza Veneziana invece la vista non era così

Sehr gute Lage uns sehr schönen Aussicht von Balkonzimmer und gutes Frühstück.

Sauberkeit im Hotel Zimmer war nicht gut, veraltete Anlage.

From the beginning of the reception, we were not even welcomed, also they told us that the room wasn't ready when we let them know from the day before and it was fine for them by message. They never told us anything about the breakfast that we also paid for. Suppose every morning the cleaner was coming but just to make the bed because everything as we saw it was the same. Also we had a nightmare neighbour, complaining about my baby because she was loud... So bad everything.

Chambre familiale sur rue au premier étage : climatiseur qui fuie en goutte à goutte et fourmis dans la salle de bain. Rapport qualité prix très mauvais.

Location close to the sea / port. 6~8 minutes to the Central station for long range busses. 2 minutes from the main tourist street Breakfast was standart, solid and good. price / value of this hotel is really acceptable. ps: got a higher floor room with sea view as upgrade, maybe cause of booking.com booking

kein W-Lan im Zimmer und dass man zum Sunset auf der Dachterrasse dinieren muss für den Ausblick. Wenn man nur was trinken möchte, wird man in den Barbereich nach hinten zur Straße gesetzt.

Très grande chambre avec vue sur le port. Literie très confortable. SDB démodée mais complètement opérationnelle. Le petit déjeuner est complet et très bon. Le personnel est très sympa!

Ce que nous avons moins apprécié: l'isolation entre le restaurant en roof top (4eme étage) et notre chambre (3ème étage) Bruit de chaises qui raclent le sol entre 19H00 et 23H30 et le passage des avions quasi devant l'hotel au moment du décolage. Cela limite l'emploi de la terrasse malheureusement.

Wir hatten eine riesige Dachterrasse mit herrlicher Aussicht, Gäste WC und große Bad. Alles wirklich sehr großzügig. Personal beim Frühstück und die Dame, die unser Zimmer gemacht hat super nett!

Der Empfang, das Empfangspersonal. Katastrophe! Nur mit dem Handy beschäftigt oder miteinander am quatschen, keine Antwort auf Hallo oder Tschüss. Bei der Abreise dann auch noch pampig weggedreht. Wir hatten extra eine Nacht mehr gebucht, um unser Zimmer bis zum Abend nutzen zu können. Als wir dann auscheckten, wurde gesagt „Aber sie haben noch eine Nacht“…Ich habe zur Erklärung angesetzt, die Dame drehte sich aber einfach weg, um sich mit einem anderen Gast zu unterhalten. Na, vielen Dank!

Nagy apartmann körbe gyönyörű panorámás tetőterasszal. Klímás, 2 fürdőszobás az egyikben kád. Megoldható volt 3 db egyszermélyes ágy, a francia ágy helyett kaptunk ketős ágyat 2 ágyneművel. Repülőtérről ingyenes tarnszfer, közelben ingyenes kisebb parkoló. Közel az óváros, múzeumok, éttermek és a kikötői erőd.

Kis lift, zuhanyzós sürdőben büdös szag, ami kijött a szobába is.

staff not that friendly. kept getting messages about arrival time. i answered in booking.com messages and think i got an email asking my arrival time and got a phone call asking when arriving. it was just a last night before flying at 6:00 am hotel and having to identify my arrival time, a couple times, was a bit stressful. it was hotel number 7 in a two week trip.

We stay here every time we visit Heraklion because of its location and very helpful staff.

The room I stayed in was quite noisy from being next to the lift and stairs.

Αυτό που μου άρεσε ήταν η τοποθεσία . Το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενέστατο . Απο την κοπέλα στην ρεσεψιόν την πρώτη μέρα που μας καλωσόρισε και μας έκανε να αισθανθούμε άνετα . Μέχρι και τα παιδιά στο πρωινό που ήταν όλα με το χαμόγελο .

Στο κατάλυμα θα θέλαμε να ήταν μεγαλύτερο το δωμάτιο . Μας φάνηκε μικρό . Αυτό ήταν το αρνητικό .

Vista dalla camera molto bella, in più abbiamo avuto un upgrade gratuito alla junior suite. Colazione molto abbondante e varia. Posizione vicinissima al porto e al centro. Il parcheggio del porto ad 8€ al giorno è molto vicino.

The location is good.

The smell in the room was weird, the air felt heavy and you feel it immediately once you open the door.

Wir waren zwei erwachsene Personen, hatten das Zimmer im zweiten Stock. Die Aussicht auf den Hafen und die Festung lässt sich nichts besseres wünschen: es war unbeschreiblich schön. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten (bis auf Knossos Palast) sind maximal 15 min. Gehzeit entfernt, weil die Unterkunft zentrale Lage hat. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant auf dem Dach - top! Immer wieder gerne =)

Nice restaurant on the rooftop, staff is accountable and helpful. Very nice breakfast . great view on the port.

We did not sleep well due to bad isolation outside and inside. You can easily hear your neighbours moving chairs around, the car and airplane traffic. I do not recommend if you tend to wake up easily.

Location is the best feature of this place, everything you need is less than 8 minutes walking distance.

Great location for sightseeing and experiencing the city center. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the port. The hotel employees were super friendly especially the restaurant staff. I also recommend the restaurant on the roof for either a half board option or just a one off dinner.

Our room's door was damaged and it was difficult to close it sometimes. One day of our stay we put up the sign to request a cleaning, but it was a little superficial and some of the dirt we unfortunately brought up from the street has not been cleaned properly.

No bellboy, and no parking even though it states there is parking.

Staff was lovely, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable with takeaway breakfast the next morning and also upgrading us to a suite when the electricity switch had a short circuit in our original room. We had room service and it was delicious!!! Truly great experience.

L'emplacement est parfait pour une arrivée à Héraklion, possibilité d'aller au port et dans la vieille ville à pied. Vue magnifique sur le port.

Le parking. Cela fait des années que nous descendons au Lato, il y a d'abord eu la suppression du voiturier/bagagiste, puis le parking gratuit à 300 mètres (convention entre le port et l'hôtel), c'était déjà pas très pratique, mais cette année c'est payant (autour de 10/12 euros). Dans le même temps, le prix des chambres a beaucoup augmenté.

Établissement proche de l’aéroport qui amène beaucoup de bruit et également problème de VMC qui cause du bruit aussi .

We spent a week in the hotel annexe which is just a few short steps across the road from the main building. The annexe appears to contain only bedrooms, maybe suites, but the room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed but no matter which side of the road you’re on, the takeoff runway from Heraklion Airport is only a couple of miles away, so it can be very noisy. The location of the hotel is ideal for taking a short walk into the old town or down to the port and parking is available in a nearby parking garage with the cost incorporated into the room charge. This charge also includes the buffet breakfast which offers a good range of products, although the hot food, e.g. fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, would be best described as tepid. The servers are polite, friendly and efficient, the latter being an absolute necessity at breakfast time when there are often tour parties stocking up on food before they go off for the day or to their next destination. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant with a great view over the port but the food service, whilst acceptable, ends at 10.00 p.m. There are, however, plenty of options nearby around the main pedestrianised area. If I were to return to Heraklion, I would happily stay there again and, with luck, the experience would be quieter, assuming the new airport opens in 2027 as promised.

Excellent hotel in a superb location overlooking the old harbour. Hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. A 24 hour front desk was invaluable, given our flight delays with us arriving at the hotel at 1:30am. The buffet breakfast was excellent and well presented. The highlight of the hotel is the roof top restaurant with an amazing view over the harbour and the Venetian fort. The restaurant menu was very good and the staff provided excellent service. With such an in-house venue, there was no need to venture further afield for an evening meal after a long day out. Off site parking was available nearby for a very reasonable price.

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und Sonderwünsche wurde umgehend erfüllt! Das Upgrade auf das Zimmer im letzten Stock mit Blick auf den Hafen war der absolute Hammer! Das Frühstücksbuffet war richtig umfangreich und es hat auch alles sehr gut geschmeckt.

Top floor sea view balcony was amazing, spent so much of the in hotel time sitting outside, staff were very efficient and friendly, very large shower and the soundproof doors and blue privacy tint on windows, breakfast was very accommodations for vegan options available

Rooms a little dated and could do with updating especially the walls. No parking at hotel , they do have an agreement with local parking garage but you still have to drive there and hope it’s not full.

L’accoglienza: nonostante avessimo prenotato e pagato con Booking ci è stato chiesto un ulteriore pagamento della camera a un prezzo maggiore in quanto non rispettava il pagamento da Booking. Dopo un’ora di chiamata telefonica A Booking da quest’ultima ci è stato assicurato che vi verrà rimborsato il prezzo ulteriore pagato. Speriamo avvenga in tempi rapidi . Il personale dell’hotel non è stato comunque empatico e ci ha costretto a risolvere da noi il problema.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected from the photos

The Lato is conveniently located near the port in beautiful Heraklion, Crete. The hotel design is modern, geometric. Room had no washcloths or tissues. The towels were very thin. I had a tiny balcony with one plastic chair, no table. The breakfast buffet is nice. There is lovely rooftop restaurant with good food.
