L’emplacement et confort du lit.

La salle de bains, qui commence a mal vieillir et ne dispose pas des équipements propres a un hotel 4 étoiles. Il n’y a plus d’eau ce courtoise dans la chambre et il faut remplir sa petite carafe d’eau a l’accueil. Pas très pratique au milieu de la nuit.

L'emplacement de l'Hôtel est top.

La tuyauterie devait avoir un problème car l'eau dans les toilettes et dans la salle de bain n'évacuait pas/

Hôtel très bien situé avec un parking à proximité. Lits très confortables. Pour notre enfant c’était une banquette dépliante. Elle a bien dormi malgré le matelas un peu fin et le sommier à ressort. Très bon petit-déjeuner. Un personnel très agréable et réactif.

Great hotel, right in the middle of the city. Very modern with a great sized room and bathroom. I loved the amount of storage! The air conditioning was excellent which was very important as we visited during a heatwave! Very comfortable bed and it was nice to have a little refrigerator and a safe. Everywhere around Lille was an easy walking distance. Breakfast was very plentiful and good value as our daughter's was included with ours. We parked in a nearby Indigo car park, as there was no hotel facility but this was very easy and accessible.

L’hôtel a 2 étoiles en trop (et le tarif corrélé). L’accueil n’était pas prêt à 15h15 (!), le Check-in a duré une trentaine de minutes sans explication. Le personnel est lent, mou et peu aimable, voire désagréable à certains moments. Mais surtout, le confort et la décoration vieillissante - parfois vétuste - de la chambre rappellent un hôtel 2 étoiles bloqué dans les annees 90/2000, avec un crépit blanc unique et un mobilier en faux bois plaqué beige clair qu’on ne retrouve plus que dans de vieilles administrations territoriales.

Location Locations Location! Minutes to the old town, perfect for shopping, eating every things on your doorstep. Breakfast was great, lots of options, and the bar staff was really helpful and friendly.

Beautiful hotel, right in the centre of Lille, but really quiet. I love the familiarity of all Novotel hotels, same beautifully decorated and spacious rooms with enormous beds and super comfortable! I love that they use Rituals products everywhere! The staff were so nice and helpful! We have really enjoyed our stay!

Booked this Novotel as it was relatively close to the Grand Place (3–4 minutes’ walk) and a known brand. We booked an executive room without breakfast, though we did have breakfast on the last morning. Booked for 2 adults and one child. Room Nice and clean, perfectly serviceable room. Double bed that was a little hard, but did the job for 3 nights. Fold‑out chair bed for our child, which was not the best and the mattress was thin. Coped okay, but would expect better quality and comfort, so marked down slightly for this. Separate toilet (which very much reminded me of council estate flat toilets — no criticism, just the style), and a bathroom with shower and bath, with a shower head but no mount to hold the shower head in the bath. Room also had Rituals of Karma products in mounted press‑pump bottles - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, and hand & body cream. Nice products, but clearly the industrial Rituals line, as not quite the quality of the standard ones. Conditioner was very thin and needed many, many pumps to cover hair sufficiently. Carafes in the lobby area to be filled and taken to the room. Machine included room‑temperature water, cold water, and sparkling water. Paper cups everywhere, which seemed to fly in the face of announcements about sustainability. Reusable glasses and cups would have been better. Executive Room Amenities Included dressing gown and slippers for adults only, not the child. Had a mini‑bar, which was restocked and included one bottle each of still water, sparkling water, Coke Zero, and a tropical fizzy drink. Nespresso machine came with three (original/classic) Nespresso pods that were replaced each day. Kusmi tea bags, sugar, and instant coffee sachets (one each of standard and decaf) provided, but no milk. Check‑in Was easy enough, but the room was not ready until 4pm instead of 3pm, which is the advertised check‑in time. Did make use of the locked luggage storage room, but not ideal to wait around in an unstaffed bar for an hour waiting for the room to be ready. Check‑out Nice and easy. No complaints. Breakfast Had this on one of the days. Was enjoyed. Child was free; €19.50 per adult (did not pre‑book). Buffet style and included: - Continental meats and cheeses — at least three of each - Hot breakfast options — sausages, streaky bacon, scrambled eggs, and beans - Mini pastries — pain au chocolat, chocolate twists, croissants, custard pastry, and others - Waffles and mini pancakes with toppings including Nutella, Lotus spread, honey, maple syrup, Lotus crumbs - Variety of fresh baked breads (sometimes steaming they were so fresh), including baguette, fig bread, seeded bread, rye bread - Bonne Maman jams in large jars with mini ice‑cream‑cone pots to decant them into - Greek yogurt, mixed fruit (apple, grapes, watermelon, oranges), orange slices, and pineapple - Apple juice, orange juice, and “detox water” that came out blue (looked like mouthwash but tasted fine) with rosemary, mint, citrus, and presumably spirulina or similar for the colour - Coffee machines with a variety of options - Loose Kusmi teas, with bags for filling manually or cups with individual infusers Bar Bar area was very nice. Often had sports showing on a projector screen, but no sound, so not too overbearing. Not always staffed, and when it was, they were rather slow. On one night it was borderline chaotic and we were the second of two groups waiting to be served. Beers on tap were Heineken, Affligem, and one other whose name escapes me (along the lines of “L’Augustus”). Location Ideal for accessing the central Grand Place (3–4 minutes’ walk). Lots of restaurants and places to eat nearby. A couple of places along the road, but never felt noisy or overcrowded. Overall Overall pleasant stay and good location. Would recommend.

C'est un quatre étoiles mais il n'y avait pas de kit de bienvenue dans la salle de bains (coton, conton-tiges....) pas de menthe ou chocolat, ce qui est surprenant. Réveil à 8h30 par le personnel de nettoyage qui a toqué fort à la porte - alors que le check-out est jusqu'à 12.00h et que nous étions en vacances. Ceci était vraiment désagréable, surtout quand on est dans un 4 étoiles.

The air ventilation was not working for the 2 days and the hotel staff had to give us a fan bevausethe heat was unbearable.

The location is very convenient, close to Lille's old city but also close to the river and Lille's city park. Nice touch the free water from the cooler and the carafe. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was polite and helpful.

The hotel did not give the feeling of a 4-star hotel, more like a decent 3-star hotel. It wasn't a problem for us, but I have to mention it. No free sleepers (a detail but would have been convenient to have).

Shockingly run down, unclean rooms and we had upgraded to executive. Goodness knows what the standard rooms were like. Pictures on Novotel website show beer in the complementary fridge included with the executive room. We did not receive this even after asking at reception. Only black tea or coffee in room, unless you make a trip down to the bar. We were both in our nightwear, so very inconvenient. Staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. Clearly did not want to be there. Unfortunately it was my partners birthday, hence booking a more expensive room. Luckily we were only staying for one night. I think the photos speak for themselves regarding the executive room experience.

Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner, le personnel en général, la propreté, l'emplacement proche de tout en étant au calme.

Le personnel du bar peu attentif à nous et à veiller au calme (rit et parle fort, termine sa discussion avec une autre serveuse au lieu s'occuper de nous). Pas de parking à l'hôtel, pourquoi ne pas proposer une réduction dans un parking proche?

S’appelle Hôtel Grand place alors qu’il n’est pas du tout sur la grand place. Et l’entrée, qui n’est pas celle d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.
