Het was allemaal wat gedateerd en met name het sanitair kon best een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Voor ons voldeed het echter prima en hadden wij geen klachten

We had a lovely stay at Mermaid Guesthouse. Mimi and the rest of the staff that was there with her was so friendly and kind. Wish everyone could have Mimi's kind and patient disposition. The Guesthouse is walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants. It is also not far from the harbour. The stairs were steep so we were thankful to have the room downstairs. Our room (room 9) was quite small for us but nevertheless we were satisfied. It was so beautiful to see the sunrise in the mornings from the room. The electric blanket and heater was perfect in the evenings as well. The fridge was fully stocked with goodies that you need to pay for if you eat or drink from it. Once again, thanks to Mimi for accomodating us so nicely. Last but not least the town itself is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you Struisbaai! ❤️

The rooms appear bigger on the pictures so it is best to confirm with them before booking regarding space.

It's always a pleasure to stay with them. Friendly staff and lekker breakfast. That's why I keep on going back for more. Keep up the good work 👏

Breakfast was good.

Too much furniture in the rooms. Less of a sea view than expected. Although a bar is shown on the photos, it is not open at night ( or ever). Rooms need to be modernised. Extremely small bathroom.

Unit/room was very big, in fact it had 3 bedrooms. Not a train smash, but would have preferred a normal room. Otherwise, no issues

Es war sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Haus ist aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Für 1-2 Nächte aber vollkommen ok.

The stairs are steep. The shower door is tight, when it is closed then after taking a shower the door is very hard to open from inside.

Everything was clear, and the guest house was sentrale. The breakfast was one for the books. It's always nice to stay with them.

zwembad aan de (te) kleine kant. Op de kamer wel veel aanwijzingen ook ten aanzien van niet meenemen... Wat gedateerd.

Bad äußerst eng, für 2 Personen Zugang nicht möglich.

淡季入住，就三间房住了人，很不错，该有的都有，小镇很小，15分钟可以走一圈，自驾去非洲最南端很方便，客厅有微波炉可以加热餐食，早餐是点单制，小镇上有家鱼和薯条不错，用的是鲜鱼。

Walking distance to the beaches, shops

I liked everything. The room and bathroom were very clean. I was coming back from a guesthouse where I have to keep my sleepers on while taking my shower. I also loved the lounge. The plus was the air-conditioning with the current summer heat, it was a treat.

Reception ladies very unhelpful and sarcastic. Felt like a hostel or hospital.

Breakfast was delicious

There is a minibar in the room but no bottle opener was supplied and no staff was present making the minibar kind of redundant (thankfully there was one screw cap beer).

It was clean, beautiful and location was great.

Friendly staff, clean beautiful rooms, comfy beds, amazing breakfast! Very accommodating! Even had some of grandma's biscuits in our room for morning coffee!

Все немного устаревшее, но все-таки вариант отличный за счет чистоты, прекрасного местоположения, близко к океану и хорошим ресторанам. Хозяева тоже чудесные. Спасибо!

- das Frühstück hat noch einige Luft nach oben. Wir wurden leider bei der Abreise nicht gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung gewesen ist, sonst hätten wir gesagt, dass die Wurst aussah als lag sie schon sehr sehr lange und es beim Käse nur Scheiblettenkäse gab. Auch die Marmeladengläser sahen sehr alt aus - dafür kann das Hotel nichts, aber in der Umgebung hatten Ende November noch einige Restaurant teilweise geschlossen oder nur am frühen Abend geöffnet.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war gut, die Einrichtung war komplett.

Leider hatten beide Zimmer die wir gemietet hatten keinen Balkon oder Terasse. Die Tür des Kühlschrankes in meinem Zimmer Nr. 7 war angerostet. Der Pool war schmutzig und sehr klein, fast nicht nutzbar. Es gibt keinen Aufzug im Haus, die Treppe zu den Zimmern ist sehr steil und für ältere Menschen fast nicht begehbar.

Zimmergröße, Betten und Frühstück waren sehr gut!

I love the Ocean theme of the whole accommodation, the breakfast area, the pool was welcome, and the general friendly hospitality. Mimi was very accommodating and friendly.

Keine 4 Sterne Maximal 2!!! Kühlschrank sehr laut. Tiere Salamander im Bad! Nicht sauber!

Wir hatten ein geräumiges Zimmer, das liebevoll eingerichtet war und eine große Fensterfront zum Meer hin hatte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es waren nur wenige Meter zum Badestrand. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück lecker. Man kann gut zu Fuß zum Strand und zum Hafen laufen. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und sauber.

Das Gebäude und die Zimmer sind etwas veraltet. Unsere Zimmertür hatte einen großen Schlitz unten und die Badezimmertür war nur eine Falttür.

Kaum Wasser, insgesamt ins Alter gekommen, Wände sehr hellhörig
