Very nice and supportive hosts. Clean and modern rooms with Balcony close to center and close to harbour. Parking space in front and on the back of the house, all safe. Great hot and breakfast menu.

Bon emplacement, plage droit devant à 6/7 mn à pied. Personnel aux petits soins. Literie impeccable et grande SdB. En fait j'ai retrouvé le standard Best Western trouvé aux USA, la piscine en moins mais un balcon en plus....:-) Le petit déjeuner, européen sur la table peut se transformer en english breakfast à la demande. On a eu la possibilité de manger un steak frites le soir mais en 3ème semaine de mars, la saison est finie...Cap Aghulas à 10mn en voiture et les raies du port à 5 mn. Regardez les marées avant..elles sont là à haute mer au retour des pêcheurs. Mais ça vaut le coup!

Des chiens qui aboient de temps en temps en face. Mais bon, pas le soir.

Le grand confort de l'hébergement, la gentillesse des propriétaires, la qualité du petit déjeuner. Très propre et soigné.

Wir haben im Dezember 2 Tage dort verbracht. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.Rahela und Steve waren super freundlich. Es gab ein gutes Frühstück und Steve hat uns einmal zum Abend Steaks serviert. Super war auch der kurze Weg zum Strand.

We had the most wonderful 7-night stay at Stonehouse on Main over the festive season, and I truly cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, Rahelah and Steve made us feel incredibly welcome. Rahelah has such a gentle, warm nature, and together they create a space that feels calm, caring, and thoughtfully run. Steve’s cooking deserves a special mention: breakfast was included and they genuinely went the extra mile every single morning, with a variety of options and generous spreads straight from the kitchen. The guesthouse also offers dinner options and has a bar on-site, which is a lovely added extra for guests (even though we didn’t make use of it ourselves). Our room was immaculately clean and beautifully kept: fresh bedding, a spotless bathroom with everything you could need (clean towels, bath mat, the works), aircon for the warmer days, and a lovely balcony where we enjoyed our morning tea and coffee. Our room was serviced daily, and laundry was happily done on request, which made such a difference during a longer stay. My wife is 8+ months pregnant, and when a cancellation opened up, Rahelah and Steve kindly upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost. The extra space and bigger bed meant so much to us and was such a thoughtful, generous gesture. The location is also perfect: close to the main beach and within easy walking distance of everything you might need in Struisbaai. A super duper lovely stay from start to finish. If you’re looking for a guesthouse that is spotless, comfortable, well-located, and hosted by genuinely kind people, Stonehouse on Main is an absolute gem. We would happily return in a heartbeat.

This place is perfect. From an easy check-in, super friendly, and helpful owners/staff to a clean, comfortable room and a delicious breakfast to top it all off. The owners really go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking. This is what all guest houses/B&Bs should aspire to be like. Perfection

Sehr ruhig gelegen und sicher

Die gebuchten Zimmer entsprachen nicht unseren Vorstellungen . In einem Zimmer gab es nur eine mini Badewanne die völlig frei im Raum stand und 140 cm lang war , sehr dekorativ aber völlig unpraktisch weil nicht wirklich zu benutzen! Einen Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer mit einer normalen Dusche war nur gegen Aufpreis von 50 Euro für eine Nacht möglich . Konnte wir nicht wirklich nachvollziehen denn es waren genügend Zimmer nicht belegt die bestimmt nicht alle Deluxe waren Frühstück war ok allerdings nicht überragend Brot teilweise noch gefroren , keine Wurst am Buffet .

The accommodation was fabulous—beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were not only pristine but also felt like a peaceful sanctuary, with every little detail thoughtfully arranged. It’s clear that cleanliness and comfort are top priorities here, and it was so refreshing to experience that level of care. The service was exceptional—Steven and Rahelah went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home and well taken care of. They were genuinely accommodating, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed while maintaining a level of friendliness and professionalism that was truly appreciated. And then there’s the food—wow! The meals we enjoyed were nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was carefully crafted and delicious, making each meal a special occasion in itself. I can honestly say that everything at Stonehouse on Main was at least two degrees beyond our expectations. If you're looking for a place where every detail is taken care of with heart and passion, this is it. The owners were exceptional. Room was very clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast excellent. The next bit is hard to believe, but it did happen! During the evening we had a flat tyre at a restaurant 3-4 miles away on the south side of L’Agulhas. Spare was also flat so we could not drive our hire car. A very kind couple in restaurant dropped us off at hotel and then the hotel owner drove us back to the car and pumped-up the tyre so we could at least get to hotel (with our bags), as it was a slow puncture. Next day owner pumped up tyre again so we could drive a few hundred yards to local garage he had directed us to and got both tyres repaired. Such kindness and so many people willing to help. I would recommend this hotel AND L’Agulhas/Struisbaai to anyone visiting this area.

Die Gastgeber: Herzlichkeit pur Was diesen Ort wirklich besonders macht, sind die liebevollen und aufmerksamen Gastgeber. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen, fast wie bei Freunden. Ihre Wärme und Hilfsbereitschaft sind unvergleichlich und sie sorgen mit viel Herz dafür, dass es einem an nichts fehlt. Selten haben wir eine so authentische Gastfreundschaft erlebt! Das Frühstück: Ein Traumstart in den Tag Das super Frühstück ist ein absolutes Highlight! Frisch, abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet – es war mehr als nur eine Mahlzeit, sondern ein Genuss. Egal ob frische Früchte, lokale Spezialitäten oder frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen, hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die Unterkunft & Lage: Perfekt ausgestattet und sicher Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, blitzsauber und man hat wirklich alles, was man braucht. Wir waren außerdem überglücklich über das gratis Zimmer-Upgrade, das unseren Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht hat! Die Umgebung ist sehr sicher und ruhig. Die Lage ist ideal: In nur 10 Minuten Spaziergang ist man am wunderschönen Strand – perfekt für Morgenläufe oder entspannte Abendspaziergänge. Fazit: Wir können dieses B&B uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Wer eine Oase der Ruhe, exzellenten Service, ein wunderbares Frühstück und herzliche Gastgeber sucht, ist hier goldrichtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Vielen Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit!

One of the standout moments was being allowed to enjoy breakfast beyond the scheduled time—something that truly shows how accommodating and thoughtful the host is. The location was also easy to find, and we were provided with plenty of helpful recommendations for lunch, dinner, and sightseeing in the area. A special thank you to the entire staff, especially the lovely lady who freshened up the rooms—she was so warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would gladly return!
