Great location. Great price. Walking distance to great restaurants.
One of the complimentary pin machines was out of order
Clean rooms. Great location with lovely lounge areas and exercise room. The rooms were small but well designed around a super comfortable bed.
Bel emplacement
Insonorisation
Très grande chambre , grande salle de bain. Le salon, et le personnel sont très accueillants. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de bar et de petits déjeuners dignes de ce nom
Flair, Lage, freundliches Personal, kostenfreie Happy Hour
The room was clean and comfortable. The only good thing about this hotel.
Don't use the valet service. They scratched our car and gave us the run around. We were charged a "resort" fee - give me a break - this place is no resort. It is just a place to sleep. No spa, No pool, No bar, No food. The location is terrible. This part of the city is dirty and no one should park on the street- that's why they have valet service - which, again, is terrible.
Comfortable bed, nice bedding, very clean. Everyone we encountered was both friendly and helpful. Love the location, walked everywhere.
Came to Portland for the hot sauce expo. We rented the Junior suite for 3 people. The beds were nice and the room was comfortable
Great location. Nice decor.
Slight smoky smell on floor 3. And in our room. Bathroom needs updating. Slight staining in bath.
Beware. They tell you that you don't need to pay the daily 'use fee', but then lead you down a path that does charge a daily use fee, and then say 'there is nothing we can do about it'
Erynn was charming and provided excellent service.
Great spot downtown with easy access to lots of Portland highlights. Really comfortable rooms, good beer choices for complementary happy hour, friendly staff with excellent recommendations and the girls loved the arcade downstairs.
THIS IS NOT A LUXURY HOTEL! It has some of the trappings of a high-end hotel - attractive lobby decorated with award-winning photographs by David Kennerly throughout the hotel - public areas and even within the rooms - but the rooms are a bit tired looking and the bathrooms are definitely a few decades old - or certainly not very modern. Towels are small and not luxurious. And the "free" breakfast if you're a special Hilton member is a big fat dud - plastic-wrapped, vending-machine style breads - but the free coffee in the lobby available mornings is nice. As is the iced tea in the afternoon. Apparently there is beer at happy hour, but I did not partake. BIGGEST DRAWBACK is there is apparently NO SERVICING of your hotel room AT ALL during a 3-day stay. I believe it is only after 3 days that anyone sets foot in your room to clean anything! That means, no bed made, no towels refreshed, no trash removed, no cleaning whatsoever. I find that unusual, esp in a hotel that bills itself as a luxury category hotel. Did not work for me.
Location
Lack of breakfast options Room only refreshed every 3-4th day Had to ask for toilet paper when needed as never topped up automatically Have to ask for kettle for room (not left in room as you would expect during a stay) Had to ask to top up coffee/sugar etc as never topped up during stay Issues with broken items in room including toilet/hairdryer and kettle when requested one Staff friendly and tried to resolve when raised
Had another great stay at Hotel Lucia! The property is clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a very spacious corner King room with a nice street view. It’s a short walk or quick Lyft ride to many Portland sights. The daily beer Happy Hour with local beers is a nice bonus! Highly recommend.
My travel companion and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lucia! I've booked the 2 night stay through a credit card travel portal booking. Since then I've called to confirm the booking was secured and the staff handling the calls were courteous and efficient. We had arrived to the hotel late into the evening, the check in gentleman recommended a delicious restaurant that was still open as we were feeling peckish. We've crossed paths with various hotel staff throughout the stay, all of them were friendly and helpful. The location is so central as it is easy to walk to different adjacent neighborhoods or hop onto the bus or MAX to get to PDX. It is so thoughtful of the hotel to have a coffee/tea bar in the mornings and flavored water dispenser during the day. Since multiple lobbies looks so nice, we had enjoyed reading our book there. We would highly recommend it to friends and family!
The room design, the cleanness
We loved the nice fluffy bed and bedding. The neighbor hood was fun, we went to Powell’s books, Cheryl’s restaurant and some used clothing stores in the neighborhood. Aron was great with recommendations and delivering on demand mini bar items to our room.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel with very nice, well sized rooms. In particular, the front desk staff and valets were really nice and easy to work with.
Friendly and welcoming staff!! Took advantage of the happy hour, delicious IPA.
Erynn helped us out with some good restaurants close by. Super friendly!!
Location was fine. Our room wasn't ready for us although we arrived 45 minutes AFTER check-in time. The hot water went out on our third morning there. They fixed it relatively quickly but we had to leave to catch a flight so no shower for us. "Happy Hour" is just complimentary beer, no wine for those who aren't beer drinkers. Would be a good idea if they had a few bottles of wine behind the bar as well. Seems like that would be a no-brainer to me. Room and hotel were clean. We were on the 5th floor and it was quiet. A/C worked well. Staff was pleasant and professional.
Perfect location downtown, walking distance to several places and to buses and rail. The room is a good size and everything was very clean. The staff are very friendly.
As a photojournalist, the Hotel Lucia is one of my fave hotels anywhere! I love the vibe, the cameras in the lobby and the incredible David Hume Kennerly prints throughout the hotel. Even in the bathroom! Staff is friendly and unpretentious and the value is good for the amenities and the location. I just wish they'd do away with that resort fee. Maybe just build it into the room price? I highly recommend a stay here!
Great location with friendly and helpful staff. I especially appreciated the valet parking—it made arriving and leaving quick and hassle-free. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
Located in downtown Portland Hotel Lucia is easily walkable to many locations. Within minutes you can go from the lobby to the waterfront or shopping at the Muji store. The atmosphere is very welcoming as all the staff are incredibly helpful. The vibe of the hotel is welcoming. The decor is pretty comfortable and homey so you feel like you are entering a hotel with a bit of personality. I thought the room size was adequate considering the amount of guest and what we paid. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Only issue with noise is that you can sometimes hear someone flush the toilet on another level. Other than that it was a quiet and relaxing place to stay.
Great hotel, comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately downtown is not the best neighborhood at the moment.
Comfortable bed, small but adequate bathrooms, comfortable seating in the Junior Suite. Such a shame that the restaurant is not operating and the continental breakfast offering is so poor.
This place was really cool, parking garage across the street if you didnt want to valet. Complimentary happy hour from 5-6 and Erynn was a boss! Pretty central location! Would recommend
Walkable to food cart park. Very friendly front desk clerk. Secure
Very comfortable bed and pillows, cool and original vibe, helpful and kind staff. Stayed in a king room that was very nice, spacious.
I liked everything, but a kettle would have been superb
Hotel was great, staff friendly but parking was a huge gouge at $60USD a night for us Canadians already paying 1.40 vs 1 USD. Park across the street for less than half. Secure and safe.
Loved our overall experience in Hotel Lucia, perfect location, great for families that want a safe surroundings and want to be close to everything DT!
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lucia. Erynn was especially helpful and friendly when I asked for local restaurant recommendations. Would definitely stay there again!
Nice location, great corner room, cool eclectic mix of modern and historic. Really enjoyed all the bxw photos on the walls.
Erryn was so kind and pleasant. Made my day!
Great hotel. VERY tiny bathroom (think airplane sink). Can't bend over and wash face without hitting head on shelf. Other than that a wonderful hotel.
From the moment we arrived and chatted with the wonderful William at the front desk, I knew we were home. HE was remarkably friendly, charming, intelligent and helpful. When we arrived, I joked that we had gotten emails offering to bid on a room upgrade and he should give us a room upgrade for free because we had so many problems on our two month long trip. He was incredibly gracious and to our surprise, he upgraded us to a junior suite. We had originally a very nice room, which would have sufficed, but we really appreciated the extra space with our ton of luggage and bags and the two full bathrooms, though small were a nice feature. Then talk about going above and beyond. He had recommended a local pizza place and my wife ordered from them. She had to pick it up as it would have taken too long to get it delivered. When she got back to the room, to her horror she founf out that even though the order listed on the label pasted on the box was correct, they had put the wrong pizza on the box. When she called them they said they would make a pizza, but mt wife said they would have to deliver it as she had to walk 8 blocks back and forth and with her MS causing her problems she wasn’t going to do it again, since it was their mistake. They said they had no way to deliver it. They agreed to refund our money and suggested she order it on their website and a third party to deliver it, which we found out would take another hour and it was already perhaps 10PM. She called William to let him know what happened. He was mortified and said he would personally pick it up himself. My wife told him we could not ask him to do that, because he would have to leave the desk, but he was insistent. And he was as good as his word, delivering it to our room. They gave usthe two sodas we requested as compensation for our troubles and unexpectedly an extra large pizza, far more than we wanted. We gave William the first pizza and most of the extra large pizza for himself and the staff. I hope they enjoyed it. The next morning we asked Joshua, another member of the staff where to go to breakfast and he recommended Chery’s on 12th l. It was excellent. My wife’s 3 pancakes with chocolate chips was very good, but the cinnamon bun was superlaive. It looked more like a tall piece of cake and tasted like heaven, the best I ever had. It was so big my wife had some, too and we still brought home perhaps a third of it to our room. An excellent recommendation, as we informed Joshua when we returned to the hotel. He was very pleased that we enjoyed it so much. By the way, it was a pleasant day and it was lovely to sit outside. So, I also highly recommend the restaurant, as well. A lovely, quiet room with everything working perfectly with an even better, even magical staff equates to a lovely, perfect stay. Run to this place. It is an oasis of civilization, exactly what you want when you are on vacation.
Erynn was great! Love the Steeplejack Beer!
Terrific experience. Satveer, the manager, was very proactive and accommodating with my 96yo MIL and we enjoyed Happy Hour with friendly Erynn.
Perfect location! Lovely staff. Great clean large room. (King Deluxe.)
The bathroom sink could have used a better edge.
The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond. We loved the 5-6 happy hour, the free bike rental and the charming nature of the place. Also the late checkout option were great!
This is not something the hotel can change but downtown Portland was not great. I’ve lived in Portland (and Seattle) and was hoping it wasn’t as bad as the news made it out to be. Friday was fine but the environment on Saturday was alarming. Not safe to walk only a few blocks away from the hotel. Really bummed me out.
staff was great! very helpful and pleasant. the location is great.
while the location is great, the surrounding area can be unpleasant with the unhoused people on the street and drug use and such. it's not imminent to the hotel property-at all, but if you walk over to the river or north certain areas can become disturbing.... it's a civic/social problem - not the hotel.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Lucia. All employees we encountered were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the art and decor. The room was small, but we were perfectly fine with that, as it was only my husband and me.
Great hotel in a fantastic downtown location. Nice style, friendly and helpful staff - the arcade games and beer hour were a definite plus! Will definitely stay here the next time we come to Portland.
The bell person was very helpful with our car unloading, helping us get situated, and letting us take the car upstairs. We love the lobby and the location so we have stayed here four times. It is pleasant and feels safe.
We did not like the policy that only one card could be charged as we wanted to split the cost on two credit cards, mine and my husband's. We had no maid service during our stay so we had to live with (not enough) damp towels, beds not made and room unclean the next day. The carpeting had a scent and did not seem clean. The pillows were not comfortable. The coffee machines never work and the blow dryers seem to always fry your hair. The shampoo and conditioner were not good. Too greasy. The tub and shower was impossible to figure out. It took us a half hour to determine you have to pull down on the tub spout. There is a lotion dispenser next to the sink which we thought was hand soap. Next time we will have to bring our own.
Great hotel. Comfortable beds, beautiful clean rooms. There are ingesting at pieces throughout. My teenage boys enjoyed playing the pinball games
We loved our stay! Instantly walking in, you can tell that this was a 4 star hotel that deserved it's rating. It was sparkling clean, the front desk person was very friendly, the bed was so comfortable, and we definitely will be coming back for future visits.
Aaron and his coworker at the front desk were great. Got us into an Upgraded room and were very pleasant.
Staff were helpful and really informed about the area! Hotel had a great decor.
The website does a wonderful job selling a vision this hotel can't deliver on. The property is outdated, the restaurant is closed, and the staff looked like they couldn't be bothered. The bathroom and shower left lots to be desired. No one was ever at the valet stand, but the garage across the street is easy and cheaper anyway.
El hotel es super bonito y cómodo. La ubicación es super buena y el personal muy amable (igual que todas las personas en Portland!) Muy recomendable :)
Hagan más refill de agua para té y leche por las mañanas. Se acaba mucho antes de la hora del corte.
Great location, extremely friendly staff, very clean

I wish we had had the chance to experience the stylish hotel but we arrived at 2am and had to leave at 8am. I can say that the staff was friendly, the bed comfortable, the hotel attractive, and the location convenient. It was great to have coffee available both in the room and lobby, and there was an excellent French patisserie on the corner.
We loved our room. It was updated, spotless, comfortable and fresh. The air worked great too. The funky lobby was great for the soul and the staff were top notch!
We wish they served breakfast, but they had great recommendations and the morning walk was a visual delight. There really isn’t anything not to like.
Staff. The location.
Not much.
My stay at the Hotel Lucia was amazing. The hotel is clean and well staffed, with comfortable rooms at a good value. It's location in downtown and near public transportation made it worth any extra cost, as you can get just about anywhere via public transportation (you can get to/from there from the airport if you take the light rail, it's 3 blocks away). I received great service from the staff and really enjoyed my stay here. My only complaint is that the paid breakfast service was not up to standard, and I would have rather saved that money for nearby restaurants since it was sometimes gone when I got there, and not worth the price. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Great location, close to main downtown sights. Comfortable bed and friendly staff, very helpful.
I’d go the bakery up one block for breakfast instead.
Be careful rooms are small
What a great hotel!!! The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Our room was perfect - clean and spacious and the hotel lobby is welcoming. We are picky about our accommodations and Hotel Lucia did not disappoint!
A quaint little spot in the heart of downtown Portland. Has complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby, a free happy hour from 5-6, and a decent fitness room. Our room was decent sized though the bathroom is pretty small and the sink not very functional. The biggest issue: The AC in our room said it was working but the temp never got below 76 which made it difficult to sleep. Thankfully the management empathized and offered a fan I could use to try and stay cool at night! The other bummer: they didn’t mention on check-in they don’t do daily maid service, so we were surprised after coming back after a long day to a dirty room. That said, it’s an all around nice place to stay in a great part of town.
Good location for weekend graduation activities! We were able to walk to all venues. Two good breakfast / coffee shops nearby and the Oregon Wine Shop (and bar) - also nearby - is great for drinks and takeaway bottles.
Sadly, Portland battle with homelessness is evident. Despite obvious efforts to manage it, there are occasionally disturbing sights, although we did not feel unsafe. This is not an easy matter for any community to resolve.
This is a lovely, clean hotel in a perfect walking location. There is water, coffee, and tea available during certain periods of time, in the lobby. My room was lovely, clean, and quiet. Appointments are what you would expect. There is a Happy Hour where a couple of beer selections are available. Overall, just a very pleasant stay.
It’s an old hotel which has great charm, but the rooms are SMALL (there were not enough outlets) and we got placed in an “inside” room which looks straight into another building and below was a rooftop. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were only there for one night, so it was fine for the 14 hours we were there. Bed was comfortable.
What a gorgeous little hotel in the heart of Portland! Erynn welcomed us early and (for a small fee) got us into a room 3 hours before checkin! The art throughout the hotel is so fun to look through, coffee every morning and water/tea every day…plus a daily *free beer happy hour?!? Yes, please! Hubby and I stayed in a “deluxe” room, and it was just fine for us, but honestly small. The bathroom especially was tight - I’m 5’3”, 130 lbs, and I found the bathroom difficult to maneuver in! If you need more space, consider a room upgrade, for sure. Otherwise, we loved everything about this spot! Walking distance from the waterfront, easy access to public transit, amazing food (and food carts) nearby…we loved our stay!!
The pricing is deceptive. When booking through the hotel site there are booking fees, tax recovery charges and facility fees that drive up the cost another 60%. Also they gave a 4pm guarantee your room will be ready. We didn’t get our room until 4:40 despite requesting an early check in at the front desk. We received nothing for their failing to meet their own guarantee so it is meaningless. The wifi is awful. I would not be over zealous in saying it is useless. It has been this way for months. 3 days without at least towel service in your room is too long. Every room should be serviced every 2 days at least. I Appreciated the water and coffee in the lobby. I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. I will be rethinking my lodging and not choosing The Lucia next time I’m in Portland
Comfortable bed, friendly staff, good location and price
No hand soap in bathroom, only one, partial roll of toilet paper, snacks were lacking, no channel guide on TV.
Location, the aesthetic, the happy hour
The room wasn’t completely clean. Crumbs on table, room mirror smudged. Furniture showing wear (wood scraped or chipped)
Excellent boutique hotel with many amenities and even includes a pillow menu and allergy free floor! I came here for a retreat.
Not pleased with room size, beds and towels changed daily. I was asked to bid up to a larger king size room and it was smallest room I was ever in.
Loved it! Sitting room was beautiful and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a big bathroom and very comfortable bed. Happy hours beer tasting was fun and enjoyable.
Carpet in the room; building on the older side and toilet also
Asad was amazing! He made me coffee at 2 am for my early morning flight across the country. Enough said.
Eryn was amazing, so knowledgeable about the IPAs and just a warm and friendly server!
Erynn was fabulous! Super nice and knowledgeable about everything. Will definitely return! Thank you!
Lovely hotel with interesting artwork in close proximity to downtown and the Pearl District. Staffing levels could be improved to provide faster service but the free pinball was a pleasant surprise! Rooms are clean, well appointed, and comfortable.
Hotel Lucia has a great ambiance throughout the entire space. The hotel is very clean and smells nice. Staff is outstanding, especially Erynn. Everyone has been polite, kind, and helpful.

Every is amazing we loved Erynn and her bar
Great experience! Erynn was so friendly and informative about her recs in the area!
We had a great experience! Our room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Erynn stood out as a five star employee helping us navigate/locate a lost package. Highly recommend attending the nightly complimentary happy hour with local Portland brews. We will definitely stay here again next time in PDX.
Great location, friendly staff, Bed was super comfortable, loved that they had a way to bid on an upgrade to a suite. Which we received 💗🙏🏼
Valet (dom) was great. Hotel was ok. Free breakfast would've made it better. Keep the valet guy, make a free breakfast option
Great location in Downtown Portland. Friendly staff, nice facilities and clean. Parking available in garage right across the street, as well as street parking just outside the hotel. Cozy lobby and happy hour daily with a free beer!
Room was a bit “compact”, not a lot of floor space, and the bathroom was also a little small. But OK overall for a few nights.
The staff was super friendly. Very helpful and nice.
Honestly, the place had a slightly sketchy vibe. The neighborhood, particularly the unhoused folks screaming at the top of their lungs late at night, made it feel that way. I didn't feel particularly safe walking my dog in the evening.
Breakfast was not good, skip it. Shower is also not good, barely any hot water and shower heads need to be replaced. Staff were perfectly nice and the gym was nice, but the room was also super small and noisy.
Everyone and everything was great! Asad in particular made my welcoming experience even greater. Thank you Asad.
Everything

The hotel staff were very helpful.
The selection of art chosen and the free pin ball games in the basement.
Fantastic option in the heart of Portland. Great value, super clean. Gorgeous building. Valet was wonderful! Would stay here again.
Very convenient train station and downtown access, nice rooms and comfortable bed, good pressure shower and nice smelling soap.
Overall, a clean and excellent downtown accommodation. However, it was difficult to sleep because the soundproofing was poor.
There was no breakfast, not even a small snack at happy hour -
Add a something salty to happy hour (and a glass of wine) , and some fruit at coffee - plus refilling it so there’s enough, and extra training for seemingly overwhelmed staff to learn customer service. Customers deserve a bit of service. Thank you!
A fantastic hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance to Powells, a vast number of restaurants and shops, and easy access to and from the freeway.
Erynn at the front desk did a fantastic job! She helped us with parking, finding a restaurant, and gave us info on happy hours. Definitely added to our experience!
We had a great experience at Hotel Lucia. Very interesting area with a lot of food around. Erynn at the front helped us out and gave a great run down of the hotel amenities and good restaurants nearby.
The ambience was cool. The aroma of the hotel smelled so good... loved the pinball game and streetfighter arcade.
There was nothing we didnt like
Shower was more of a trickle, so not great. Rest of the bathroom was excellent, all very clean. Room was clean and bed comfortable.
Shower. Upon arrival (6:30 pm) the computer system was down so I couldn’t check in for a while, closer to 8. That wasn’t great. Staff was attempting to be helpful, made restaurant suggestions and offered me a drink.
