Had to walk with luggage from parking garage and then it was a long walk with some steps to our room

Clean comfortable and location

Upon arrival after a long day game the lot was filled so the valet could not take our car. Than after check in we were starved and went to the bar and they would not serve us food because they were an hour behind on orders. If the hotel can’t accommodate a big crowd than don’t over load reservations. I stay here all the time and never ran into both issues.

Location was excellent for the Volleyball tournament at Rec Hall. The grounds were beautiful with lots of places to sit and relax. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff from the front desk to the valet to the restaurant staff were all very professional and friendly.

The staff was awesome. Jaime at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay very special. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. The valets were courteous and helpful. Everything was exceptional.

The bed was not as firm as we like.

Room make up was done after repeated requests. On my check out there was lot of confusion about my settelement. I am still trying to figure out which card has been charged. My bank statement shows one of my credit cards have been fully charged on checking in, while the front desk said no payment was made. Subsequenrly, another card was charged, so now I have overpayment of USD 500. Waiting for bank to open next week and address the issue.

had a wonderful stay at The Nittany Lion Inn. The hotel is beautiful, with an elegant and classic atmosphere, and the location is excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended

The room was beautiful. Plenty of places to sit and hang out / lounge - on the 1st floor and the 3rd floor where I stayed. Staff was very friendly. They had 2 places to get food which was convenient. Parked in the lot next door and since I stayed on the Inn, it was covered, so that was a nice surprise.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The Nittany Lion inn is beautiful, decor is lovely, location is prime. The only option on campus, lots of lounge areas for socializing, easy walk to downtown, and convenient parking. Inches from the Lion Shrine.

Nothing really to complain about. Check in took a while due to a line. Still not sure paying for parking worked as the check in/out of the garage with our room key gave an error message (we'll see what happens when we see credit card bills). One suggestion: I like that they supply a refillable bottle for water instead of disposable. Would be nice if the bottle was full upon check in, and maybe some notice (maybe a small card in the room) saying where the nearest filling station is located.

Favorite hotel in State College. Love this place. Gorgeous cozy inn- but actually a large well renovated property with all the high class of a sophisticated city.

Very expensive for one night

The location was perfect....hotel stunning. Staff exceptional.

The best pub meal we have had in America. The kids even loved every bit and I have picky kids. They also went out if their way to accomodate them.

Hard to fault but the air conditioner in the room was very loud and woke me a few times.

Location was excellent, as we were there to visit the Penn State campus. Loved the large comfortable lobby with plenty of seating areas to relax. Complimentary flavored water and apples were available. The room was clean and well-appointed. We slept well.

The 11AM check-out time was a bit early, though they did extend that to noon upon request.

rooms were requested close together as this was not fulfilled which meant children where not located near to our room which was not ideal

I liked everything about the visit, staff, cleanliness, restaurant options, location, etc

that the kitchen closed at 9:00 PM

The mini fridges were the tiniest I've ever encountered, and did not accommodate leftover boxes and a bottle of wine easily...at all. Room 330 HVAC unit was VERY loud when on. Not great for a light sleeper as it went on and off. This was my only big complaint.

Location and cleanliness

Issue with a/c and heat was blowing in hallway (we were there during a hot summer weekend)

Breakfast was not offered. It was a quiet stay. Comfortable.

Room was spacious and had plenty of extra seating room. Bathroom was excellent with hand sprayer that is common in Europe, but not so common in the US. Location was excellent, easily accessed, and plenty of self parking availability.

The king bed was a bit soft.

We got a handicapped room and one of the beds was damaged it was so bad that I couldn’t even sleep and my back was killing me the next day

Room size was great. Reasonable bar price and good food. Good response to air conditioning repair.

The room was hot but was fixed and then was ok. I called the front desk 3x before arriving before someone picked up the phone. No help with luggage. Three different answers to a checking in time I was told there was a $50 charge to check in early then no charge if it was after 2 then another answer. We were there for a wedding reception and arrived early from a 3 1/2 hour trip. The room was extremely dark and not cheerful at all. Walls painted such a dark blue that they almost looked black. Terrible lighting.

Room and restaurants were great.

The elevator had some issues and we felt a little out of place as most were alumni there.

Have stayed at the Inn before. We graduated from PSU in 1970. It is an icon in State college. All was great.
