Oliver was amazing and helped to resolve an issue we had with our reservation through Booking.com. He was truly a life saver!

Beds were a little stiff.

The newest front desk employee-- I'm not sure of his name: African American, tall with braids was extremely nice and welcoming. Upon checkout, I explained our bed in room 505 is deflated on the left side, the body wash was empty and the shower was not draining. He was very apologetic. Great guy! I hope you share this with him. He was training when we checked in on 8/12/26.

See above-- the bed was awful on the left side, My husband couldn't sleep.

Two of the three rooms on my reservation were missing. Thankfully I had my confirmation. Also one of the rooms was next to a room with very disruptive occupants. They had to go to the front desk to get someone to quiet the occupants.

Bathtub needs anti-slip items inside on the bottom. Your water is very soft.

The service at the hotel was horrific. When I checked in, my room only had a few sheets of toilet paper left and no spare roll of toilet paper. I called the desk to have some brought up, but noone came. I then had to go down to the desk several hours later to ask for toilet paper. After 2 days of staying at the hotel, my room had still never been serviced, so I had to ask the front desk to have someone service my room, because I needed towels. Nobody came so I had to once again go to the front desk and ask for towels which I carried up to my room myself. on my 4th day, I reported to the front desk that my room had NEVER been serviced my entire stay at the hotel. Someone from the desk went up and collected the pile of towels on the floor and removed the trash from my delivered dinners from 4 nights, but the bed was not made. I then checked out and flew home. This experience makes me extremely glad to be a Marriott member. I have been travelling for buisness for over 30 years and I have never had such a horrible experience.

Love the location! All the amenities are exceptional! The staff is courteous and helpful! Would definitely stay again!

Great location, easy walk in downtown and to campus. Deck parking across the street very convenient, there’s a target next door for anything you might have forgotten. Property very nice, all staff were really helpful. complimentary breakfast was really good. Fitness center was great. Four out of five stars just bc I felt our room floor hadn’t been as well vacuumed/mopped as it should have been— walking around barefoot in the room got my feet dirty. Yuck. But we would stay again if we visit state college.

Hotel was fine.

Paid for 3 nights and only stayed 2. Hotel would not refund the 3rd night even though the hotel was not near full capacity. It would have been fair and reasonable to charge only for nights stayed. Feel ripped off. This must not be a Hyatt owned property. Must be privately owned and managed. Would expect a true Hyatt to refund the 3rd night. They offered a 10% discount on next stay. There won't be a next stay.

Breakfast was very good. Had a nice variety. All food was hot and fresh.

I liked the black out shades, firm pillows and entire room was so clean.

Our stay here was great for my son’s college tour! We were able to walk right back to the hotel after exploring the campus all day. So convenient and the breakfast was very nice! It appealed to everyone in my family.

I did not get the room I booked through your site, was told they don't guarantee what I ask for, I was not told that. It is a problem when booking a disabled room. The room did not have an accessible shower which is why I booked that hotel in the first place.

The hotel was clean and nice. Friendly staff. The breakfast should have been great, but they kept running out of food. It was a busy hotel that morning, but. I still feel like they could have anticipated and had food coming out at a steadier pace.

Great location near the theater! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants! Breakfast was awesome! Seating area was great to enjoy a rest period and beds are comfortable!

Good location can be walking distance to everything. Hotel is very clean and well manage. Breakfast is good with good varieties. Overall it was a great experience for our family.

House keeping needs to improve. Despite notifying several times in a day, the room was not done 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed. It seemed that it was understaffed. Also, breakfast was only until 9:30 when it is usually at other places until 10:30.

Parking felt unknown at checkin. Left family in car so I could run in a find out the parking situation

Almost everything but.....

The cleaning staff starting at 9;30am to noon knocked on our door atleast 6 to 8 times checking if we had left. Each time from polite to angry I told them we are staying right up until noon. Each time they did not care and knocked almost every half hour. i called down to let the front desk to notify that we would vacate at noon but nothing changed. There has to be a better way!

Clean quiet proximity to town

My recent stay at the Hyatt Place State College was excellent. The hotel is very nice and had the amenities I come to expect from a Hyatt -- clean, comfortable rooms and beds, free coffee and refrigerators in the room, fitness center, lounge with bar, and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown not far from the center of the Penn State campus. The parking garage is across the street and very reasonably priced with "in/out" privileges, although one does not really need to drive to get around and experience the town. The rooms were quiet at night and comfortable (not too hot nor too cold) and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend.

I stayed at the Hyatt for one night while visiting Penn State University with my college bound HS students. The hotel was clean, lobby was comfortable and it was a very easy walk to campus. There is a Target next door if you need a snack or forgot to pack an item. Staff was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

For a non-football weekend in State College, the hotel was very expensive but there was no housekeeping. Also, I was charged for parking that I didn’t use. However it was refunded once I reached out which I appreciated. I’ve had good experiences with this hotel in the past but this visit was a miss.

The Hyatt is centrally located at Penn State. The parking garage is across the street and the pay for it.

This is a very clean, modern hotel with a very convenient location in downtown State College. Parking in two nearby garages are discounted with in & out privileges. The included breakfasts were excellent!
