Pulizia camere
Hotel confortevole, pulito, ottima posizione!
Posizione eccellente
Camera un po’ piccola
Good value for price

Location was great, walking distance to a lot of the attractions Abraham the evening mgr was terrific Remembered our names, got us direction gave dinner suggestions
Good place, with great location, wonderful staff who went above and beyond for us. Nestor was so accommodating and kind.
Loved the decor and colors. Felt like old money. it had quite a places to eat within 2 blocks
There was an odd stain in the counter and the bathroom door is noisy when closing. Tiny things I easily got over
Beautiful property and friendly staff.
Location. The area is getting very run down and homeless people are encroaching around that area and into Union Square.
Great area, awesome staff
Service and facilities
Nada
Es cómodo y muy bien ubicado
Es un hotel viejo
- Gets the job done if you need to stay in SF for a few nights
- Level of cleanliness - Age of facilities - Noise from the street - Very average service - Location a bit sketch
Posizione e staff
Pulizia moquette
Very safe & a stone through from union square
Staff was amazing 🤩
Personnel adorable ( merci Rachel )
Très bruyant la nuit
Old hotel in a scary area. There is a big difference between the pictures shown on the website and the room itself.
Renovation
This is a lovely hotel, nice antique style decor but not outdated at all. It’s been designed this way. The room was super cosy and clean, although note the sink was in the bedroom separate to the bathroom. This didn’t bother us. They did a nice thing by offering a free glass of wine in the bar on the night of our arrival and 10% off in the restaurant next door, which looked lovely. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby as well the town square including Macy’s and Cheese and factory. A half hour walk to the wharf and also near to the famous trams.
The location is great for walking anywhere you want to! We are big walkers and walked to the Golden Gate Bridge, fisherman’s wharf, painted ladies and all across the city. Having said that, there is a real issue with homeless and drug users in this area. This is not the hotel’s fault but it’s a consideration about the area if you’re staying with children/ families. We heard and saw aggressive shouting outside every night, and, when going out in the early morning, it was a really upsetting environment to be in and didn’t feel entirely safe. People lying on the floor comatose and drug deals happening on the corner. I also didn’t appreciate the ‘early departure fee’ waiver you have to sign when you check in. FYI to be aware of the T and Cs when you sign it. They had a new computer system and things so part of their new updates.
The staff was very friendly and responsive to my needs.

I was surprised by how quiet the room was, so plus plus, hooray. The lobby and staff were welcoming. The lobby was beautiful and smelled so good!
The room was a bit dark and dungeon like. The bed was too low, which added to the dungeon feel - I felt like I was groveling about the ground. And there is little you can do about the area, but Geary and the surrounds needs some attention: Clean up and safety. I knew what I was doing when I booked in the area, I'm just wondering how a newcomer would feel.
Very good food in their restaurant and wonderful service.
Location, quality and welcoming staff.
The staff were wonderful!
You can hear everything through the walls. TV was pretty small, but so was the room. Facilities are under refurbishment.
My room was very nice
I thought staff could have been a bit nicer and more helpful
Staff, rooms, cleanliness.
The location (not the hotel's fault)
Front desk guy was great
Construction going on but was fined room had new carpet. A/C lagged a bit. Older building but they’ve kept up. The perfume candle in the lobby was a bit much.

We have booked Deluxe Double Rooms and according to the info on Booking the room size should be 29m2 but they ware not!!! Maybe the size of the room is max 18m2!!! SO the info on Booking is not true!!!!! The Rooms have been booked for 3 people each but the rooms were prepared only for 2 persons (Towels/cups ect) - we had to ask the stuff everyday to bring additional things for the the third person.

Very cute boutique hotel centrally located so getting to any bus, train or cable car was incredibly easy. Lovely room, the upgrade to the corner room was so worth it for the extra space, and not as noisy as I anticipated. Plus the bar and restaurant downstairs were fabulous. Great food that you could order and eat in the bar.
The check-in staff person was extremely rude. I had just wanted to know how long the room would take to be ready (I reached there 30 mins. before the 3 pm check-in time) after a 12 hour flight! They didn't offer water osrt of r any feeling of being welcomed was totally lacking. The food is over priced. Don't have the paella.
Rooms and staff were amazing
We thought the room was well represented in the photos leading up to our stay. When we arrived, we had a side-street room to do plenty of people watching. I used to work in the neighborhood, and there's something for everyone!
Can't think of anything.
Central location, lovely restaurant downstairs. Best thing about our stay was the friendly staff. Nestor & the Team were so helpful.
The property was clean, service was excellent, and the location had fantastic access to the city.
There really is a homeless situation in San Francisco that is problematic in the area of the property at night in the early morning.
We arrived early and planned on checking our luggage, but The super hospital Nestor found us a room so we could freshen up before our assault on the city. Great facility, super amazing staff and a glass of wine to boot!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately our stay was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had. Prior to booking, I specifically requested two suites located close to the elevator because I was traveling with my 74-year-old grandmother and my mother, both of whom have mobility issues. I also explained that I was traveling with family members who have limited English proficiency, so having our rooms on the same floor was very important. Despite making these requests well in advance, we were assigned rooms on two different floors, and both rooms required guests to use stairs after exiting the elevator. I immediately asked if we could be moved to at least one room that did not require stairs and requested that both rooms be on the same floor. I even offered to downgrade from the suites I had booked without requesting any refund or price adjustment. I was told the hotel was completely full and nothing could be done. To make matters worse, one of the hotel's elevators was completely tarped throughout our stay. Although it remained in service, it was clear the hotel was undergoing construction. There was no mention of the ongoing construction anywhere on the hotel's website when I booked. Had I known the hotel was under construction, I would have chosen another hotel given that I was traveling with my 74-year-old grandmother and my mother, both of whom have mobility issues. Combined with our rooms being located on separate floors and requiring stairs from the elevator, the construction made navigating the hotel even more inconvenient for my family. However, while standing in the lobby, I checked the hotel's website as well as Expedia and Trips.com, and all three showed multiple rooms available for that night and the remaining nights of our stay. The explanation that the hotel was "fully booked" simply did not match what was publicly available. On the day of our arrival, I called the hotel to let them know we would be checking in later that evening. I was told arriving before midnight would be perfectly fine. During that same call, I specifically requested that the sofa bed in one of our suites be made before we arrived. We checked in around 9:20 PM on June 29. After dealing with the room assignment issue, we entered both suites only to discover that neither sofa bed had been prepared. I returned to the front desk and was assured housekeeping would come shortly. At approximately 10:00 PM, I called again and was told the housekeeping shift had ended at 10:00 PM but someone from the next shift, beginning at 11:00 PM, would assist us. At 11:10 PM, I called once more and was again told someone would arrive within minutes. By 11:20 PM, after yet another phone call, I was finally informed there was actually no overnight housekeeping staff and that no one could make the sofa bed until the following morning. At that point, exhausted after a full day of travel, I simply requested sheets, pillows, and a blanket so we could make the bed ourselves. Even that took another 30 minutes to arrive. The blanket we received was visibly dirty, and although the sheets appeared and smelled clean, they were stained. We were too tired to continue arguing and simply made do for the night. The following morning, before leaving around 9:30 AM, I again asked about moving one of the rooms closer to the elevator. I was once again told the hotel was at capacity despite the availability still showing online. I also specifically requested that housekeeping prepare the sofa bed in Room 503 while we were out. The front desk confirmed the room was vacant and assured me it would be done immediately. When we returned around 8:30 PM, the sofa bed still had not been made. I had to contact the front desk yet again, and housekeeping finally arrived approximately 30 minutes later. After I complained, a staff member came to our room and gave us two $15 breakfast vouchers, despite the room having three registered guests. The following morning I discovered the vouchers could not be applied toward the hotel's $18.95 breakfast buffet. Instead, each voucher only covered a few grab-and-go items. For my $15 voucher I received a banana, one boiled egg, and a cup of yogurt. I was also told I could not take these items back to my room because the hotel did not offer room service, even though I wasn't requesting room service—I simply wanted to eat breakfast in my room. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. Upon check-in, the bathroom floor in Room 503 was extremely sticky. Both rooms were booked for three guests, yet each room only contained one bathrobe, one pair of slippers, and two complimentary bottles of water. When we requested additional bottles of water to account for the third guest in each room, we were told there would be an additional charge. The toilet in Room 703 clogged on two consecutive days. On the first day, maintenance took approximately an hour to resolve the issue. On the second day, maintenance informed us that the hotel was already aware the toilet itself was faulty and needed to be replaced. If the hotel already knew the toilet needed replacement, I don't understand why guests were placed in that room in the first place. The valet service was another major disappointment. Unlike any hotel with valet service I have previously stayed at, the valet station was always unattended. Guests were expected to temporarily park their vehicles on the busy street outside the hotel, leave the vehicle there, and bring the keys inside to the front desk. The vehicle would then be collected and parked whenever a valet attendant became available. Given the well-known vehicle break-in issues in San Francisco, this process left us uncomfortable leaving any belongings in the car, as it remained unattended on the street for an unknown period of time. Retrieving our vehicle was equally frustrating. Every single time we requested our car, the wait was approximately 15 minutes, even during times when we were the only guests requesting a vehicle. On two separate occasions, two different valet attendants brought us the wrong vehicle. Because of these mistakes, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes each time while they located and retrieved our actual vehicle, turning what should have been a 15-minute wait into approximately 30 minutes. At checkout, I was informed that the $100-per-day incidental deposit would be refunded within 10 business days after deducting the valet charges. Instead, an additional $492.27 was charged to my credit card. Based on the rates explained to me, valet should have totaled approximately $240 ($65 per day plus a $15 oversized vehicle fee). I was specifically told the valet charges would simply be deducted from my deposit and the remainder refunded. Instead, I received an entirely separate charge on my card. I also requested a receipt at checkout but was told the system could not print one and that it would be emailed to me. I checked out on July 2 and, as of writing this review, I still have not received a receipt despite already receiving an email asking me to review my stay. The rooms themselves were also disappointing. They felt outdated and poorly maintained. The dressers and walls were heavily scuffed, the bathrooms had dusty corners, and the bathroom mirror in Room 703 had visible mold growing around the edges. The refrigerator in Room 703 also did not cool properly. Soundproofing was inadequate—we could hear street traffic late into the night from both the fifth and seventh floors, and every morning we could hear other guests and hotel staff talking in the hallways. Perhaps the most frustrating part of the stay was how the hotel's refusal to accommodate our accessibility needs affected our entire trip. Because my mother and 74-year-old grandmother both have mobility issues and our rooms required using stairs from the elevator, we had to completely rearrange our itinerary. Instead of returning to the hotel throughout the day so they could rest, we had to plan each day so that we only left the hotel once in the morning and didn't return until the evening. This made for unnecessarily long and exhausting days, which were especially difficult for both of them. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced. The physical condition of the property was disappointing, but even more concerning was the repeated failure to follow through on promises made by staff, poor communication between departments, and the complete lack of accommodation for reasonable accessibility requests. Had only one or two of these issues occurred, they could have been overlooked. Experiencing all of them during a four-day stay made what should have been a relaxing family vacation incredibly stressful. Between the accessibility issues, undisclosed construction, repeated housekeeping failures, poor room condition, valet problems, billing concerns, and lack of follow-through from staff, I cannot recommend staying here and would not choose this hotel again.
Posizione strategica, suite ampia 🔝
Front Desk Staff --- outstanding! Very comfortable. Great location.
Prices of the food in the restaurant were very high.
Disturbing noise all night. Bed not made 1 full day had to call 6 times. Dirty blanket given under the Petez no staff after 10 midnight. Given courtesy voucher for breakfast to make up for their bad services , the voucher had do many restrictions. We were family of 5 only 2 breakfast voucher given for 25 dollars can use only 1 per day. Could not get anything much except fruit, egg with some yogurt .
Clean, friendly staff, great location & value for money

A bit dated hotel but relatively comfortable stay.
We regreted moving the table, which reveled how dirty the carpet was. Rooms are smaller than described or pictured but comparable to most offerings at this price range in SF.
The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the luggage storage was easy to use and efficient
No problems at all
