Location was good

The bathroom, I did not like the bathroom set up. The bathroom door would not open all the way, cause it hits the toilet.

Protesters in front of the hotel for 5 days. Making so much noise, banging, clanging, in the loud speaker chanting about PTO. No apologies from the staff, they just dismiss it, when mentioned.

Les photos n'ont rien à voir avec la réalité, c'est vieillot,il faut un bon rafraîchissement, les chambres petites pour 4 les lits queen size vraiment petit pour 2, pas de place pour les valises. Salle de bain petites. 2 serviettes pour 4 personnes, j'ai demandé à 3 reprises rien n'y a fait. Il manquait du gel, douche du savon... La moquette de la chambre pas propre. L'hôtel en général n'est pas joli et ne ressemble pas aux photos. Le hall très moche. La grève du personnel à fait que pendant notre séjour les chambres n'ont pas été nettoyé. Ne vaut pas le prix payé. Les sans abris drogués partout autour.

Le séjour était catastrophique. Les employés étaient en grève et faisaient une manifestation extrêmement bruyante en bas de l’hôtel, nous avons été réveillés à 7h30 alors que nous étions en vacances. Nous n’avons pas été prévenu au préalable de cette grève, et d’ailleurs, lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous avons demandé à la réceptionniste si nous allons entendre les grévistes de notre chambre, ce à quoi elle a répondu non. Nous avons exigé un remboursement et n’avons jamais été dédommagés.

Türsteher hilft nicht beim Kofferservice sus Auto- wäre leicht verdient! Frühstückspersonal missmutig, holen Besteck selbst, Kaffee wird erst bei entsprechenden Nachdruck nachgeschenkt, kein Bohnenkaffee verfügbar. Personalstreik lautstark wegen schlechter Bezahlung von 6:30 früh an.....

Feit dat we met z’n vieren geboekt hadden maar het een tweepersoons kamer was. We kregen twee kleine bedden voor vier personen, we kregen twee handdoeken en twee keer een ontbijt voucher.

staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean. Convenient to Union Square.

Bedding not thick enough. Only one thin blanket sandwiched between sheets. Pillows were too full. Helpful to supply larger bag for dirty clothes. Expensive parking on top of room which allowed only 1x to leave and return.

The lobby was very nice, they had free mint water, free coffee in the morning and they had security outside.

Did not have smart tvs. I felt like I was in the stone age. They only have dish network where you have to sit and let all the channels scroll through and you pick what channel that you want to watch. That is outdated and they need smart tvs. Especially for being a 4 star hotel.

The bed was comfortable. I liked that everything was designed nicely. I couldn’t get the TV to work though. Internet was fast. The complimentary coffee and water station was a really nice touch.

The location. Mainly because of the homeless and druggies that were surrounding the hotel. I was scared to stay at this hotel. I paid extra for city views and the views left much to be desired honestly. This is the smallest room I have ever stayed at.

I would not recommend to stay here due to homeless and no parking in the hotel

Hall carpets were tired, slightly musty. I imagined a different part of Union Square when I booked. A bit rough at night. But all in all, it was a fine place to stay.

Excellent service, everyone was super helpful. I would definitely get another room with this hotel.

We splurged on the suite so having extra room was nice. The hot water struggled to work out first day and it sounded like that might be a common issue. Day 2 though it worked like a charm so not sure what the deal was. It’s an old building that’s been remodeled. For the price it was awesome. Walked to tons of things.

En el ingreso de Check Inn el persona debe brindar información sobre estadía, entrega de cupones para desayuno; debe entregar algún recibo por el cobro y, el depósito. Sobre este último solo aplica el cargo sin más informaciónT Tienen que mejorar varias cosas

Room was clean. The entrance to the hotel is looking great. Fast check-in.

Though the hotel was located 5 minutes from union square, right after the corner there were lots of homelesses, which made it very unpleasant to walk around. Room itself was clean but too small for a family of 4 people.

The staff are great and I have no issues with them at all. But the hotel itself is outdated; it’s clear the owners aren't investing in it. At this price point, the value just isn't there. When you're paying $300 a night, you shouldn't have to deal with a lack of basic amenities like a hairdryer or even a complimentary bottle of water. It’s a $150 hotel at best. You can find far better options for the same money.

Check-in was disappointing. Staff did not recognise my Diamond status and insisted I had Gold status and did not want to give me a free breakfast. Initially, I was given a very stinky standard room with no upgrade. I complained, and another staff member gave me another room. It was still a standard room with no upgrade. At checkout, I noticed that my credit card for the refund was changed to another one. It took about one hour to fix this issue.

filtered water dispenser in the gym was putting out hot water which was a bit grim While the hotel can't do anything about it, the general area around the hotel is less desirable, its not unsafe but walking to public transport was miserable. car parking in the area is expensive, but that's city parking, the valet parking next door is recommended by the hotel but is quite expensive and poorly reviewed.

Anna was a dream!! She was sooo helpful with us coordinating for our son swimming ALCATRAZ!! We were in town to support him. Hotel Spero was absolutely manageable for us to enjoy this experience. We even spent time in Chinatown, which was absolutely lovely.

The parking situation was confusing. Would have like to know more about how parking works in the city and especially that it is not affiliated with hotel.

We were there for 4 nights. In that time we were moved 3 time. First night we had bug bites! Second night/move was because the room was under the heating and air equipment. The room was so loud we couldn’t sleep plus we were so itchy from the bug bites (the manager insisted we didn’t get the bites there) the 3rd room was bigger- but the view was walls and equipment. It had a rain shower faucet (didn’t work) so I had to use the hand held shower head. A huge part of that faucet fell off and hit my head. It about knocked me unconscious. I asked to fill out an accident report. They don’t have any. Worst stay ever. Homeless everywhere. To top it off the housekeeping staff was on strike. The bullhorns they were yelling in were incredibly loud! Don’t stay here!

Horrible bites I got and the huge goose egg I got on my head from the shower head breaking and hitting my in the head. Noises and homeless was awful!!!

Posizione ottima pulito e belle camere.

Il ristorante non era attivo e non siamo stati avvisati. La colazione che avevamo pagato extra consisteva in una busta da asporto con muffin succo frutta e yogurt. La camera aveva un problema con aria condizionata che a dicembre emetteva aria fredda invece che calda. Lo staff non è riuscito a risolvere se non facendovela spegnere e dandoci una stufetta. Non abbiamo riscontrato alcuna attitudine a risolvere il problema ed il manager era assente e non aveva lasciato al suo posto nessuno con potere di delega.

Jako male sobe, starinske i neudobne, doručak u susjednom ulazu, jako staro i depresivno. Jako depresivno mjesto, ja bi ga izbjegavala.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Das Personal war stets sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren nicht nur sehr gut ausgestattet, sondern auch äußerst komfortabel. Besonders praktisch fanden wir die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt nebenan im Parkhaus, inkl. Herz Autovermietung und Rückgabestation. Insgesamt eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung von unserer Seite!

Our tv wasn't working but maintenance came right away and took care of the problem. The view was spectacular.

Booking.com said the hotel had its own parking for a fee but the hotel didn't have parking. Luckily there was public parking close by. It was challenging to get all the bags into the hotel.

The staff were all so kind and friendly especially Kathyrn who checked us in. She even upgraded our room to 2 beds instead of the 1 with no extra charges. She was very informative of what side of the streets we should avoid. The location is also very convenient to get around to places. I was only here for 3 nights, but was able to squeeze all sorts of sightseeing on my bucket list. Definitely will be coming back!

Good value accomodation in a very central location. Room was well appointed and clean. Loved the historical detailing throughout the hotel.

Very minor but it would be better if you pop the wifi password on a card in the room? We had to look for it and only got it when we went to ask reception.

Discovering that Spero Hotel Vignette do NOT have CONTRACTS for their employees in these very unstable times - I assured the Unite Here Local2 group demonstrating outside, that I supported them and would not stay at the Spero again until they respected their employees with proper contracts.
