Water, coffee, tea complimentary at the lobby all day. Good size and overall clean rooms.

Room gets very low daylight. City view is basicly another buildings' roof.

The bed was very comfortable! The shower was large with great water pressure. There were automatic night-lights in the bathroom for midnight pees.

The building itself is lovely, the reception areas are very well done and look great. The room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious.

The receptionists weren’t the most helpful, the location isn’t the best - considering the price - and the food is very expensive.

It is located right next to Tenderloin, homeless everywhere around it. No way to get a better rate in person, it’s better to book it on booking.com Next to it there is 620 jones (very laud), if is not that one, you will hear the other 2 pubs in front of it often with live music.. It is a bit dated but still ok

Das Hotel ist gemütlich und gleichzeitig modern. Es bietet sämtliche Annehmlichkeiten. Das Personal ist äusserst zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist zentral und sicher.

Für das Frühstück muss man genug Zeit einplanen. Der Service ist zwar sehr freundlich aber eher langsam.

Staff were excellent. Everyone we encountered, especially the manager, was super accommodating, helpful and friendly. The room was large (we had king bed) and clean and we had a mini fridge brought in to keep our own snacks and drinks. The bathroom, while small, was clean, appeared to be newly renovated and was fine for 2 people and our toiletries counter space-wise. The location was superior. We were in town for 4 days and walked and used public transportation easily to go sightseeing and dining out. We personally loved the close proximity to Chinatown. We had dinner there twice. We paid for breakfast. It was waiter-served meal. There were about 10 different options and included 1 hot beverage and juice. The food was good and there were healthy options of fresh fruit or plain yogurt parfait with berries. We tried both of these one morning and they were fresh and delicious.

The one thing, and there was only one, that we didn’t like is that we had a special request to be on a low floor. We understand that it was our choice, and were willing to accept whatever room was available. However, the room we got on the 2nd floor had no view and faced what appeared to be heating/cooling units or some other mechanical structures. Also, there was noise from what probably was the elevator cables going up and down periodically. My husband slept through that noise, but he is a deep sleeper and could sleep through sirens, car crashes, etc. I woke repeatedly through the night from the sound. I should have asked if there were other low floor rooms available, so this was not the fault of the hotel. I really didn’t want to pack everything up and change rooms.

The breakfast was good though they made a big deal about how the booking.com reservation included "one breakfast beverage and one breakfast entree," while I was expecting a normal breakfast with additional options like juice. I liked it that my room was spacious, cool, quiet and dark at night. Also that it had a walk-in shower with glass doors unlike the unpleasant shower curtains depicted in the photos.

Obviously this was a renovated old hotel which had gotten rather seedy. My room and bathroom were nice, but the hallways and common areas were dark and quite unattractive. My main issue was that they wouldn't honor my Marriott Lifetime Platinum status or give me Marriott reward points for my stay bc I had booked it through booking.com. Imho this was unfair, and I certainly won't book a Marriott thru booking again.

I would not stay in this hotel again. We made a regular 3-night booking (not pre-paid nor non-refundable) directly on Marriott website. The booking process and booking confirmation had NO warning about early departure fees. However, when after one night we decided to leave for another city, the hotel agent in the hotel lobby charged us for one extra night as penalty for an early departure. The manager on duty also insisted that they had a strict policy penalizing early departure. This was very disappointing. We are contacting the Marriott headquarters to complain and hopefully to get this unjustified fee reversed.

I liked that the property was upscale and the room was affordable. I like that we received food vouchers and free drinks which was nice.

It was very difficult to order room service from the restaurant. The button on the phone that is supposed to auto dial did not work and when the front desk tried to transfer me, no one answered. The quality of the meal for the room service was mediocre unfortunately. We got burgers and they just did not seem like they were worth the price I paid for them. I did like that the hotel had valet but I think $90 a day is a bit over priced unfortunately. I would understand $50-$60. The room also didn’t have a fridge that we could put our own stuff in which I think would be a nice touch since there’s a fridge stocked with stuff in the mini bar.

Cat allowed! The rooms are bigger than standard! The coffee station is always available and for free! 15 dollars voucher a day included (for meals) The cleaning ladies are nice together with Miguel and Martin at the restaurant- reception The staff is always helpful, especially Gloria, she is incredibly thoughtful, professional and nice!

At the edge of tenderloin, so noisy at night cause of the homeless people and drg add. If you want to make a reservation I’d recommend to use booking.com (better rate and no chance of misunderstandings) It is visible that the cleaning ladies try to do their best but visibly in hurry cause of the management (that is my personal feeling) overall it is clean Breakfast is a la cart :/

The lobby makes you think you are going to get into an outstanding experience.

The staff we had at check-in was rude and unhelpful. I had very good contact by email with someone else so I was very surprised.

I stayed there for three nights. I liked the location, It was like we can take all the buses near the hotel.

There was no buffet in breakfast, we didn’t know that. we had to order from the menu (see attached picture) and we weren’t even told we were gonna be charged for the add-ons. We ordered two coffees and two teas breakfast, they charged us for the teas. There were no trash bags in the bins. The quality of toilet papers were poor. Also, there was only one couch in the room, which is extremely uncomfortable if you check in with your partner. There is loud bar next the hotel and you cannot stay in your room during daylight because of that noise.

Nice spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast right inside the hotel! The bar was nice but is not open late. The rooms were comfortable and had some funky lamps which added to the overall vibe.

The elevator gave me a weird sensation every time I rode it! It was almost like it threw off my equilibrium or something- it was so weird!

The hotel was clean, tidy, and in a very convenient location. There were several parking options nearby, which was very helpful. It's a pity we could only stay for one night due to our flight being canceled. We would have loved to stay longer.

L’emplacement est plutôt central donc pratique. Chambre assez spacieuse et lit confortable. Bien insonorisée donc calme la nuit. L’hôtel est plutôt bien décoré, l’espace salon au rdc est agréable.

Odeur d’égout dans la salle de bains. Parking avec service voiturier très coûteux. Le parking à côté, indépendant de l’hôtel est moins onéreux.

Love the room size and cleanliness. They had room voucher credits which we used to add on items during breakfast. Room came with breakfast and their breakfast sets was scrumptious and made hot and fresh when you order. Yummy and a perfect way to start the day. Loved all our breakfast mornings and the service staff were super friendly and did their best to make our breakfast experience perfect.

We could not take shower. The shower was flooding. The water would not drain.

Excellent hotel with a perfect location. The room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed with a great mattress, and it was well equipped, including a minibar. The staff were friendly and professional. I especially appreciated the complimentary champagne and bottled water provided every day—a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed the breakfast; it was varied, fresh, and a great start to the day. The location was also convenient and worked very well for our stay.

Despite emailing several times weeks in advance and agreeing on the additional charge, our requested upgrade to two queen beds was not arranged. As a result, one of our friends had to sleep on the sofa, which was disappointing.

My stay truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel is well-appointed and offers many amenities and perks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was large and the soundproofing was very good. Seemed like I got a lot more than what I paid for! I would absolutely stay here again.

Convenient location to historic cable car, MUNI and BART stations. Helpful staff provided slippers and fridge when asked. Breakfast was good, loved the waffles.

The housekeeper started to knock our door since 9:55 AM and kept coming back asking when we would be checking out even though the check out time is 11 AM. I don’t understand why we were being so rushed to leave the room! Brought it up to the front desk agent and they didn’t rectify the situation.

The breakfast was very tasty and all of the staff members were welcoming and eager to please. The room was delightful and the room staff were genuinely friendly.

The hotel is near the Tenderloin.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing and always available to help with any request. Highly recommended!

Location and room size

The front desk lady that checked me in. She was very rude and had an attitude. She was Latin but I couldn't catch her name to formally complain. Ok the opposite when I checked out there was another person and he was super nice. The second thing I didn't like was the breakfast staff. They were again super rude. They give you a voucher that is for 2 people. The restaurant is a la carte and you can order one dish per person. I paid for a double room hence I had 2 dishes but they didn't allow me to order more than one. On top of that the waiter brought me the check without me asking I was still eating. Which I find very rude. He had the nerve to ask for a tip which of course I didn't give. Overall this hotel is very far from Marriot standards.

The area does not feel very safe. There are no coffee machines in the room. And their pricing methods are not customer-friendly.

Staff were great and the hotel centrally location for the city’s sights and transport. Nice benefits we received on checking in, glass of champagne, complimentary tickets for ride on tram car and $15 credit. Lovely breakfast.

Noisy bar next door but this quietened down by 10ish. In the evening, stick to walking back via main road or take a taxi if coming back late.

This is in a convenient location just a few blocks from Union Square. While near the Tenderloin District, we felt very safe and there is a security guard monitoring the front entrance. Were only there one night but everything was very nice, clean, etc. We also were able to grab a bite to eat at the hotel which was nice since it was on the later side when we arrived. Staff are helpful.

Stayed here Sunday-Tuesday for my daughter’s graduation. The historic hotel itself is clean and has been renovated, but showing its age. Turn left when going out the front door and the location is conveniently located to high end stores and Union Square. Just don’t walk in the other direction! Walking, using my GPS, took me across the street and down an alley which was pretty sketchy. Pros: Conveniently located Historic renovated hotel Nice clean fitness center with plenty of equipment Amazingly nice and helpful staff Cons: No in room coffee maker Limited water bottle filling stations and ice machines
