La situación y que tuviera gimnasio y piscina allí aire libre en la última planta. Éramos tres adultos y nos ofrecieron una suite.

El hotel está un poco viejo. El sofá cama era muy, muy antiguo. El colchón era fino con todos los muelles marcados. Después de reclamar cuatro veces vino el recepcionista y cuando vio y tocó el mal estado nos proporciono una cama supletoria que aunque era algo corta, tenía un colchón de verdad. Fueron amables en todo momento.

The room was well furnished. it was great that one window actually opened. The bed was firm and comfy. The location is ideal, not too overrun by us tourists but nice and lively. The staff was so helpful and pleasant, The coffee maker in the room was a life saver Here‘s to Canada!

The lifts at times took a long time. The hotel is very old and dated.

We've stayed here 3 times before. It's a nice hotel and the suites are lovely. Never used the restaurant this trip, but it was great last time. Really nice beds and the bathrooms and showers were spotless and great. The sitting room is very nice feature and two people can watch two separate TVs - one in the sitting room, one in the bedroom. The parking garage is tight, as we have an older, full-size van, but it fit Ok and I'd like to thank the night desk lady who really helped us get parked at such a late hour (We were returning from a concert in Laval). The later check-out time is always much appreciated for guests who are out late. We'd stay here yet again, if the opportunity rises.

My only little niggle is the in-room coffee machine! If you're going to have one of those, "Artsy fartsy" Nespresso machines, you should also have another normal machine that offers a full, normal cup of coffee. A half-cup (Or less) of Espresso does NOT replace a nice, full cup of regular coffee. I'm sure I'm far from alone in this opinion. A Keurig-style pod machine or some other "Normal" coffee maker is much better. One shouldn't have to go to the restaurant or search for a coffee outlet in the morning. Other than that, the stay was great!

Malheureusement trop de problèmes pour voir les points positifs...

impossible de nous garer. On nous a dit qu'il fallait arriver avant, "premier arrivés, premiers servis". Il a fallu tourner 1h, nous garer à 900 m et payer un prix exorbitant, quel stress à chaque fois qu'il fallait prendre la voiture. Cela n'est pas dit comme ça dans l'annonce. Le petit déjeuner est HORS DE PRIX et la personne très peu aimable (c'est rare, au Canada...). La porte d'entrée avait gonflé avec la pluie donc impossible de l'ouvrir. il a fallu appeler le technicien les toilettes étaient bouchés. Il a fallu appeler le technicien - 1h de réparation, et cela ne fonctionnait toujours pas. il n'y avait plus de tw ni de wifi - un technicien est venu constater que les branchements ne fonctionnaient pas et a remis en route. il n'y avait pas de lumière dans la chambre hormis 2 petites veilleuses. Le plafonnier n'avait pas été installé, le technicien qui est venu était étonné. le tapis d'entrée est roulé et tout le monde se prend les pieds dedans, manque de sécurité. Les ascenseurs sont très longs La caution pour ce niveau de gamme d'hôtel est hors de prix

Personnel accueillant, le GROOM service très agréable et serviable, à l'écoute. Wifi impeccable.

Pour un séjour de plus de 15 jours ce n'est pas correct de placer un client dans une chambre donnant face à un immeuble en travaux. 5 fois par jour réveillée à 7h du matin par les travaux de cet immeuble( le double vitrage n'a pas suffit), de plus la nuit la chambre était éclairée par la lumière de cet même immeuble. Les rideaux tirés ok, mais c'était par le haut des rideaux que cette lumière passée. Pas très agréable voir pénible. Aussi dans la salle de bain, deux miroirs qui se font face c'etait hyper angoissant de se voir à l'infini. À pat ça tout était correct.

Hôtel vétuste. Nécessite une rénovation complète. Les lits sont très mous. Des l’entrée dans l’hôtel une odeur désagréable des moquettes nous accueille et ne nous quitte plus jusque dans les chambres. Le Petit déjeuner n’était pas qualitatif également.

Room was large and was clean.

The kitchenette in our room did not have a stove, as oppoesed to the pictures. And every time we toasted bread, the fire alarm was activated. Elevator wait time was over 5 minutes in rush hours. Only 3 elevators for a 27 story building. The staff did not provide trivial services unless we asked for: Shampoo refill, teabags and coffee refill, and promises for following up our other requests that we never heard back about. You also cannot park your car in the parking, only their valet does. And there is a high-rise construction right across our window that started work at 7am every day and was very noisy (fall 2026).

Les lits un peu étroits. Le service du taxi. Nous avons demandé un mini van car nous étions 5 et 5 bagages. Et au final on a eu une voiture 5 places donc 6 dans la voiture+ les bagages.

Supervriendelijk personeel en heel behulpzaam als je vragen had over de stad. De locatie was supercentraal en vlakbij het metrostation Peel. Vanaf daar reis je makkelijk naar het oude centrum en andere wijken.

We hadden een uitklapbed als derde bed en de kwaliteit daarvan was niet goed. Er was ruimte genoeg om een fatsoenlijk 1 persoons bed neer te zetten. Het keukentje in de suite was op zich wel grappig maar de kastjes waren erg verouderd en toe aan renovatie.

A water fountain in the lobby would be an asset on hot days. Breakfast was expensive.

Les mobiliers est vieux , il y a de la moquette et les chambres sont très sombres . Au niveau de la cuisine vraiment le strict nécessaire : on a dû demander une planche à découper !!!

Lack of staff in the restaurant during both dinner and breakfast. Also during breakfast the buffet was not restocked for both food and crockery eg sitting in a restaurant and having only a paper cup for tea/coffee and bacon going cold before the eggs turned up.

The location

Our room was awful and didn’t match what was advertised. Not only did it not have chairs for two to eat at, it had no view, either city or mountain. In addition, the room floor wasn’t vacuumed, the windows were filthy, the tub didn’t drain so we had to take a shower in ankle deep water. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling, and the bed skirts were dirty. The kitchen drawers were dusty. We raised the room not matching the description and staff didn’t offer any solutions and didn’t take any $$ off the bill. They tried to say we got the room we booked which clearly not true. Lastly they charge for coffee in the room except for the first day. Never been at a hotel that charged for in room coffee especially given the $350 rate.

L hôtel est tres bien situé, en plein centre de Montréal, proche du métro et des grands magasins. Un restaurant est à disposition pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner ce qui est très appréciable. La literie est de bonne qualité et la chambre spacieuse avec une petit kitchenette bien pratique.

Le délais d attente parfois très long pour prendre l ascenseur. L eau de la baignoire avait beaucoup de mal à s évacuer

Friendly and proficient staff. Rooftop pool. Mini kitchen in the suite. No audible street noise in the night (we were on the back side). The aircon is quiet enough to allow sleep.

The mattress was a bit incurved, but not too bad. Work on the building behind (reversing truck beeps) was a minor annoyance in the morning. A bit expensive (but that seems to be a general Montreal problem).

L'emplacement était parfait. L'hôtel est propre et confortable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et le personnel agréable.

Les chambres sont vieillissantes, l'aspect n'est pas toujours très soigné. Le joint de baignoire n'est pas top et pas très blanc, les portes ont été repeintes un bon nombre de fois sans forcément de soin. On s'attend à mieux pour un hôtel de ce standing et de ce prix.

Unangenehmer Geruch im Hotel, Ausstattung etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Klimaanlage war sehr laut, oft lange Wartezeit an den Aufzügen, da diese ständig überfüllt waren.

Really nice room, loved the pool on ghd roof for the kids and the staff were vety friendly and helpful. Very good location for exploring Montreal.

Restaurant service was a bit slow.

We loved the location, especially so close to the subway and bus stops. There were lots of amazing restaurants close by. Talking with staff was really friendly and accessible.

We stuggled a little with "follow through" on requests. We asked for towels to our room and they never came, or silverware at the breakfast brunch and it never came. Would have loved some clarity on how we could have put in the requests to help them happen.

Hôtel très bien situé en plein cœur de Montréal

L’ensemble est assez vieillot. Les lits sont très mous. La cuisine est tellement minuscule qu’il est difficile d’y cuisiner, nous avons finalement pris tous nos repas à l’extérieur… de plus alors que nous avions une chambre pour 4 personnes il y avait 1 seule chaise… et aucune table… La piscine est sympa mais assez froide. Notre demande de check out tardif a été balayée, les employés n’ayant clairement pas envie de s’embêter avec cela.

I liked how every room had its own kitchenette. The bathroom provided sewing kits and shoe mitts, which was nice. The pool was quite nice; I wish it could stay open for longer, though. Overall, everything was clean, and many shops and activities were in walking distance!

The TV was outdated and difficult to navigate and find enjoyable channels to watch. Every night at 12:00, the alarm clock would go off, and it was a little bit of a challenge to turn off. These alarms could be heard going off from other rooms as well, but hotel staff tried their best to stop this when asked.

Locatie is goed, zwembad prima en personeel vriendelijk (alhoewel een early checkin niet mogelijk was op aanvraag, dat konden ze pas aangeven bij aankomst.

De kitchenette zijn slechts wat losse apparaten en een koelkast, verstopt in kledingkast. De kamer voor 4 personen bood nauwelijks ruimte voor onze tassen en het maken van kopje thee of koffie was onhandig.

Too short a stay!

The friendly yet professional service. Very much a can-do attitude and a relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the large apartment with its well equipped kitchen. Nice pool area and good laundry facilities. Daily housekeeping is a plus. No extra charges at checkout time which, by the way, is 12 noon which is less common these days.

The lodgings are a little somber, the predominant colour being dark brown. It makes it a little hard to find your dark things ;)

Rooms would need to be refurbished. A absurd situation for the usage of the valet. I was obliged to Stay and wait for the valet in front of the hotel for 40 minutes, who finally arrived to explain me that there was no parking spot available and that I would need to help myself…

The hotel's staff were all friendly and welcoming from start to finish. We were upgraded to a junior suite without asking, and the room was huge, clean, and quiet. The hotel's location was excellent for our shopping on St. Catherine and touring McGill, and felt very safe. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was icy (appreciated in steamy July), and the water pressure in the shower was good too. I would definitely recommend Hôtel Le Cantlie Suites to other travelers.

my son lives near this hotel in Montreal. Went to visit him in June and he recommended this hotel. To me this hotel was a complete HOMERUN. 100 out of 100. The room was CLEAN it smelled clean. It was quiet I didn't hear anyone walking above me albeit I did hear the room doors when they close but it was minor. They have on site restaurants and valet parking which is nice. you pull and they leave curb space available so you don't have to park a block away then walk. They come out and park your car undergroud and very convenient. There was a small kitchenette in the room which is also a plus. the only issue i had was the sink was clogged and wouldn't drain WHICH THEY IMMEDIATELY FIXED. This hotel is a winner.

Excellent location with efficient valet service directly off Sherbrooke. Friendly, helpful staff at front desk & quick attention at the door for luggage transfers.

Wish the TV in the room was a smart device. Breakfast buffet was disappointing & the restaurant “service” staff were most unpleasant.

Great location, particularly if you are going to the Bell Center for an event. Very clean, upscale feeling to the hotel.

At times the staff was more sarcastic than helpful. Also you can drop your car off at the valet, but they won't bring it around for you - they send you to the basement garage to get it yourself.

La situation géographique, le fait de pouvoir laisser les valises en attendant que la chambre soit prête sans frais, la piscine sur le toit de l’hotel et la salle de gym, la taille des chambres (suites 2 lits doubles et cuisine)

Personnel moyennement aimable dans l’ensemble, pas de wifi possible avant 16:00 à notre arrivée le matin (on a du aller au starbuck en face pour télécharger le plan de la ville) femme de ménage peu efficace (pas de gel douche signalé directement à la dame d’etage à 2 reprises en vain, signalé à l’acceuil on nous en a monté un finalement), frigo de la cuisine qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement ( soit tout était givré nous avons perdu deux jours de provisions, et après signalement, le frigo ne faisait que dégivrer et tout etait trempé) pas de table ni de chaises, pour une suite avec cuisine pour 3 c’est quand même un problème, chambres mal isolees, piscine super avec des consignes claires mais malheureusement jamais respectées pendant notre séjour( pas plonger, pas courir, pas hurler) au final on ne pouvait pas rester vu la vacarme et personne pour faire respecter les consignes, pas de serviettes de piscine à certains horaires vu le monde présent,

Wraparound deck and pool, with panoramic downtown views (only open 4 months/year), made the stay memorable during a warm sunny July week. Great location, clean rooms, solid AC and wifi@18MB/s, friendly staff and housekeeping, capable icemaker. Microwave, fridge, and kettle worked well.

View from room 510 is an eyesore construction site. Outside surface of room windows needed cleaning. No vented fan in bathroom or kitchenette. Would be very hesitant to use hob or small oven given limited room ventilation (2 windows crack about 4") and multiple smoke detectors in room. No early check-in due to nearly full hotel (but: got a card to hang out at pool to wait!).

Rooms not ready by 4.00PM.

Would have appreciated getting a detailed bill. They said it would be emailed but I haven’t received it yet.

L’eau un peu froide de la piscine et l’absence de prêt de flotteur pour les enfants (lorsqu’on vient de loin c’est compliqué d’en prendre) mais ça ne change pas le fait que l’hôtel est super.

Bed: comfortable and big and I'm a picky sleeper. The cover isn't the flimsy hotel cover you flimsy hotel cover you usually get which is nice. A/C works even during high humidity heat wave days. Room: VERY spacious like I didnt know they made rooms that were actually big anymore. I had a full fridge and kitchen which was amazing and made my trip way easier. Gym is a hotel gym but I'm impressed they have a cable machine and a leg press. Plus the cardio equipment looking over the city is a nice view you don't usually get in hotel gyms. Staff: very kind and helpful. When I stayed here last year there was one lady who was a bit more brusk but it doesn't seem she works here anymore so if any reviews mention that I wouldnt worry. I had an issue with my card upon check in and they couldn't run it for the deposit. I was fully prepared to have to go wander the streets until my bank would update it but they kindly let me check in without it and ran it the next morning instead. Also I witnessed them all handle very difficult guests with class and patience the likes of which I have never known. Location is great which is a large part of why I stayed here twice now. 2 minute tops walk to the green line metro, the mont-royal grand staircase is out the front door, easy walkability to old port, the plateau, mont-rpyal, and all of downtown.
