Location was very convenient for the purpose of our trip.

The room was dated, bathroom sink was leaky, carpets were dirty and we were not even provided with slippers. For the price range the international standard is complementary slippers, makeup removal cottons, tooth brush/paste, crisp towels etc. not only there was none of that but the towels were old and musky.

It’s hard to point out anything special — the location was decent, but that didn’t save the overall experience.

The room was very dirty: there were hairs near the toilet and on the seat in the bathroom. We were offered several alternative rooms (about six), but almost all of them had the same cleanliness issue, and some also had a strong unpleasant smell. When we complained at the reception, they sent a cleaner who just wiped the surface with a tissue, without removing the hair or doing a proper cleaning. We were also upset by the double booking situation: we accidentally booked the same room twice, a minute apart, on two different platforms. The booking platforms were willing to cancel one of the reservations, but the final decision was up to the hotel — and the hotel refused. As a result, we had to pay double the price for a dirty room. On top of that, the air conditioner, even when running at full power, was completely dirty and had mold in it. There is also basically no soundproofing — you can clearly hear people talking in the hallway even at a normal, slightly-above-average volume.

La vicinanza con il centro

Il letto non è un letto matrimoniale è a malapena di una piazza e mezza, nella nostra camera era rotto l aeratore del bagno e faceva un rumore pazzesco. Camera piccolissima e colazione molto basica. Nonostante la struttura sia molto vicina al centro il problema principale è che la strada per arrivarci non è molto sicura, specialmente di sera. È infatti presente un centro per persone con dipendenze dove c’è un alta concentrazione di persone in evidente stato di alterazione e capita di vedere scene molto pesanti, la cosa che mi ha lasciato molto stupita è stata la completa assenza di forze dell’ordine vista la situazione degradata.

De muren waren dun. De kamer was vlak naast de lift die ook ‘s nachts veel lawaai maakte. Gelukkig ging de lift tijdens ons verblijf stuk en hadden we er geen last van.

Hôtel bien situé pour nos besoins. Nous y avons séjourné seulementnune courte nuit pour prendre le train. Le personnel est gentil. La chambre était propre et confortable.

The hotel is conveniently located to the activity we were going to attend in Montreal. (Alouettes football game at Percival Molson Stadium) Staff were very polite and courteous, even though i was given the wrong room initially. After showing I had upgraded my room via booking.com i was given the room I wanted.

value for money, way over priced for the quality. No breakfast included. Outside of the hotel, there next to no parking when you arrive it unload, we ended up having to park in the back alley. Extra check in time it took because i was given the wrong room, despite having upgrading. Had to come back down with all our luggage.

On nous contacte à 10h15 pour nous informer d une interruption d eau à 11h! Les serviettes étaient vétustes, pas d eau à boire dans la chambre, les lits sont petits avec matelas durs, aucun confort. Personnel à peine sociable, exempt de toute attitude courtoise et hospitalière. Bref, très déçu.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel un paio di sere prima. Poi abbiamo fatto un tour di due giorni a toronto e avevamo prenotato per altre tre sere. Non mi sono accorta che la carta di credito utilizzata per la prenotazione non avesse fondi ( mia colpa) ma il pagamento non era anticipato. Come booking ci ha informato abbiamo subito contattato la struttura che saremmo arrivate tardi e che avremmo pagato con un altra carta di credito. Tutto questo un minuto dopo aver ricevuto la comunicazione del problema. Booking ci ha scritto che dovevamo contattare la struttura entro un ora. Lo abbiamo fatto. Risultato è che la struttura aveva già cancellato la prenotazione. Nonostante avessimo, nel tempo stabilito fatto tutto quello suggerito. Ci siamo ritrovate senza alloggio alle 9 della sera in una montreal in sold out. Nessuna empatia, nessuna forma di comprensione, nessun aiuto. Durante i viaggi è probabile avere problemi con le carte di credito, ma il personale alla reception nonostante una nostra immediata comunicazione e essere comunque clienti, non ha avuto nessuna remora a lasciarci senza alloggio. La struttura non è male, ma la gestione umana è pessima.

We stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights. The hotel is well located, near the Peel Metro and McGill University. It is also within walking distance to the shops on St. Catherine's Street, Central Station, and Old Montreal. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Love the map of downtown Mtl they provided!! Great stay and highly recommend.

Danny at the front desk made our experience here wonderful. He was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable of the city and kind. Because of his hospitality, we will be returning to this hotel. I have actually already booked another night at a later date.

Salle de bains très petite La fenêtre sur la rue Sherbrooke ne fermait pas (il fallait une clé pour la verrouiller complètement), demandé 2 fois à la réception de le faire mais cela n'a jamais été fait. Moquette au sol Pas de petit déjeuner compris donc à prendre en compte car Montréal est une ville chère.

Le prix beaucoup trop élevé pour un hôtel désuet qui ne propose que du sommeil en centre ville. Ps d’isolation phonique efficace: on entend les voitures (7e étage) et les dialogues des chambres voisines. Pas d’option de petit-déjeuner à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles. Personnel relativement froid et désintéressé.

It was close to everything. So we could park the car valet and not have to move it for the duration of our stay. The staff was super attentive and friendly

We were here Aug 5-8, 2026 mainly for Rogers Cup mens tennis. Danny at the front desk is friendly, courteous, warm & made recommendations/suggestions for best bagels, restaurants, activities & routes on the transit (Metro), bus, and walks. All the front desk staff service is excellent, friendly, smiling (this adds to a positive stay) & meeting our requests quickly. I highly recommend this hotel (clean, service is great) as location is close to everything. I will surely come back again. Thank you, Best Western ville-marie and Montréal. Love Montréal 💗

In an Idéal location adjacent to Mont Royal and McGill, the Ville-Marie’s weekday desk clerks (Danny and Mark) eagerly transformed into outstanding concierges. Their advice was invaluable. The parking attendants were also superb, even taking our luggage up to our room and helping us load upon departure. We are eager to return to see these wonderful people again and to enjoy the comfortable bed and ample size bathroom.

Worst booking experience — extremely disappointing This was one of the worst hotel booking experiences I have ever had. What should have been a simple family trip turned into a stressful and frustrating experience because of issues involving both the hotel and Booking.com. The hotel informed me at check-in that there were two reservations under my name, even though I had made only one booking. The second reservation was apparently associated with an incorrect/non-existent email address, and I had never received any confirmation or notification about it. I was completely unaware of this reservation until the hotel brought it up during check-in and told me I could be charged for it. I immediately contacted Booking.com for help, but instead of resolving the issue, I had to repeatedly explain the same situation and provide the booking details again and again. I spent hours dealing with customer support during my trip, with no timely resolution. Even after providing the requested information and documentation, I was left chasing Booking.com for a refund and answers. This completely spoiled what was supposed to be a relaxing family trip. The lack of communication, accountability and customer support from both the hotel and Booking.com was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel or this booking experience to anyone. Customers should not have to spend their vacation dealing with booking discrepancies, unexpected charges and repeated requests for information for an issue that was not caused by them.

It was in walking distance to many of the sites I had planned to see, except Old Town. It was a bit far from many events there.

There is an Indian restaurant inside the hotel lobby and the whole ground floor smells of curry and Indian spices all the time. Very bad.

We reserved a junior suite for our family. We had a phenomenal time living there. Mark from the front desk provided many local suggestions and made sure we really enjoy the hotel. The location is close to everything we need during our trip in Montreal: close to the Jazz festival, wonderful brunch restaurants just couple minutes away. we can quickly get into metro and go other attractive, old port, market.

La situation parking n'est pas la meilleur, situé à l'Hotel d'en face, car $30 à chaque fois que tu as besoin de sortir en voiture est trop dispendieux. Le taux de $30 par jour peut importe le nombre de fois que tu utilise ta voiture serait préférable.

Rooms are escellent, the staff is amazing. All front desk supervisors and personnel were beyond kind and supporting. The place is in the heart of the city, so we would walk prettu much everywhere.

The only issue we faced was an ongoind noise coming from the fan that mainly happened at night. Supervisors and tec personnel tried to fix it for us. They even found us another room for us to be comfortable. So this has to do with the fan in the room, Other than that I can totally recommend this hotel, I appreciate all the attention we got from the staff. In terms of service, it has been one of the best places I have stayed at.

My fiance and I were here for just a couple days and we both don't speak French. We want to express how awesome Mark was! He helped us when we arrived and helped us order food since we arrived at the hotel really late and we were famished. For checkout he also helped us store our bags away, which allowed us to enjoy Montreal without having to carry eveyrthing hours before we had to fly that evening. The room was also amazing and kept us very cool when we came back from the heat.

I wish they would upgrade the room doors because they slam a bit loudly when opening and closing. it can be annoying when people are in an out of their rooms. Also would be nice to upgrade the TVs in the room they are a bit outdated.

Le bruit de la circulation, la chambre donnait sur la route principale, il faudrait peut-être isoler les fenêtres. Et aussi avertir les clients de faire moins de bruit, les portes ont claqué plus que lors du dernier séjour surtout le soir et jusqu’à minuit.

The hotel is in a great location and the room was super clean. Most importantly the service was TOP TIER, I stayed on June 27 and checked in at around 9:10 it was very busy, but the staff was on their A-game to get people what they needed and getting them checked in, as well as being extremely kind. While I was checking in there was even a super rude, disrespectful and arrogant lady causing a scene like something you’d see out of a Karen TikTok video(literally acting like a child)simply cause she didn’t want to use the credit card machine for the deposit checking in, and the staff remained super professional, calm, and assertive which stopped the lady from causing the scene she wanted so badly(which she was probably doing to try and get something free, let’s be honest) and also made me and all the other guests feel comfortable and safe in the very uncomfortable situation that the lady was causing. I honestly don’t know how they did it, they’re better people then me, cause the lady was so bad I was about to get in there and start throwing hands at her. So that’s why I have to give a HUGE Shout-out to JOHN and MONICA who were continuing to help me and other guests while the situation was happening, and most importantly PETER who is the man with the most patience I think I’ve ever seen cause he was the one dealing with the lady and his professionalism, calmness, and assertiveness ensured that the situation was brought to an end and that me and the other guest could continue to have a good experience despite the prior one caused by the lady. I’ve been to multiple hotels and these guys(specifically Peter,John, and Monica) were up there with some of the kindest people I have dealt with, so it’s a 100/10 from me. Would definitely recommend to people wanting a nice, relaxing hotel in a good location with amazing staff there to help you with what you need; although if you someone like that lady who’s rude and disrespectful and likes to cause problems over simple things this is definitely not the place for you. - Reina Santiago

Do you like curry ? If not don't stay here. There is an Indian restaurant in the lobby and the smell of curry wafts through the hotel..even through to the room via the air con! We were on the 6th floor and the smell was strong in the corridor. Room itself is quite dated, bathroom door is partially see through glass so make sure you are travelling with a really good friend ! Talking of the bathroom..its been many a year, many many years since I've been in a hotel that doesn't offer guests shower gel. This one is a bar of good old fashioned soap! Yep. The room is dated and so are the amenities. Don't get me wrong, it was clean and huge but it felt like I was back in a 60s place on Fremont St in Vegas

Comfortable & Efficient hotel in an excellent location between downtown Montreal and McGill University… However, what made this experience special was Kuileco at the front desk, who checked me in (late) with warmth and professionalism typical of his native Cape Verde (and was ready to help with recommendations, etc, throughout my stay)!
