Everything! The location was excellent, the pools were great, (with the exception that I wish the Cabo Wabo bar was at the more adult friendly pool than the kid friendly pool). The staff was more than awesome. The ladies at the spa were very pleasant. I would like to give a special shout out to the valet team as one of the most accommodating bunch I have ever had at a resort. I cannot say enough to express the great experience we had at the Waterfront. Will definitely be looking for a reason to return for another stay!

The Cabo Wabo Beach Bar would be better at the more adult friendly pool.

Great Hospitality.

Upon checking in I was greeted with a qlass of Champaign. The service was excellent I spent the day at the pool which was great I was in the dolphin tower which was close enough to dining and the pool. The hotel staff was always friendly and very accommodating. I will be staying again and will definitely recommend.

Kids who piss in the pool!

Upon checking in, we were greeted with champagne glasses while entering the lobby. Unfortunately, we declined because our little one wanted one, too. Maybe also offer mocktail versions for kids in the future? Just a thought. Otherwise, our stay was truly lovely. The ocean views from our suite were beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The dining options, both casual and formal, were plentiful. The Huntington Beach area was very walkable to local shops and restaurants, too. Would definitely stay here again.

The Oceanfront studio suite we had in the Huntington tower was a huge disappointment. The furniture was old and dirty, the ceramic floor was chipped , the outlets couldnt support charging phones and computers. when we complained we were told an upgrade would require double our room rate, which was already high for what it was. and the front desk manager was very nice and in spite of trying told us that was nothing else without a huge fee t and if we changed the next day we would have to move out at 11 and not be able to check into a new room until 4 The dining chairs were heavy and every time they were moved in the room above us it sounded like chalk on a blackboard. A simple area rug could ahave solved the problem We also found out If you are on 4 or below where the rooms were renovated you lose the Oceanfront view None of this was clear to us on the website and I did call th hotel about room guidance which was also misleading The toilet seat was way too low which may sound like a strange comment but at 5ft 2 my knees hit my ilap when seated., My shoutout goes to Tatum .On checkout she asked how the stay was and I told her my honest assessment whereupon she dedutced $100 from the bill. That does not compensate however it was a very nice gesture. I had our room and had another family member in a regular renovated room which was actually nicer than our room, apart form size.

OMG, I love this property and the front desk team is even more amazing. I would just like to take this time and give aspecial shout to Chez Brown (Front Desk Mgr), John C (Night Auditor), and Brooklyn (Front Desk Agent). There were a few challenges with my reservation and this team truly went above and beyond to ensure accuracy and comfort, even after having to extend my stay due to flight cancellations. I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Thank you all.

The hotel is fine and in a great location, but they tried to overcharge me by $100 on one room and $70 on the other. I had to go down, wait in a long line and show my reservations...which were made directly through Hilton... to get them to correct it. Didn't they already have that information in their system? The reason the review is so low instead of just a warning to travelers is when I proved to her they overcharged me she gave me the "we'll refund it as a courtesy" line instead of admitting and apologizing for the error. One of my reservations was literally named the "Park and Save" and she argued about removing an extra parking charge. Hilton needs to do some serious training.

From the time we arrived to check in all positive. Valet was right on it. Joey was the bellman who came to help us after the valet greeter met us. Very helpful and not pushy. Joey ended up taking us to the room and explained the room temp etc along with getting us a few extra coffee pods. Very friendly and helpful. At check in Linh was a sweetheart. Very person and knew we had traveled for a bit to get to the hotel. We were ready to get into the room if possible. It was not ready around 2pm so she did offer an upgrade option which was available. We ended up taking the upgrade which ended up being a nice room. And Joey hung with us to take us up to the room. So a nice front desk experience with Linh. She was friendly, preceptive, and thorough in the explanation of the property. Thank you.

As Silver Hilton Honors members, we expected a level of service that reflected the Hilton brand. Instead, we experienced one of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve ever had. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, which had been postponed because she had been caring for a family member. Before checking in, we explained that my daughter has a medical condition and requires a full-size bathtub. This was not simply a preference—it was a medical necessity. The problems started immediately. The front desk manager assured us that the room we were being assigned had a bathtub. After unpacking and settling into the room, we discovered not only that it did not have the type of bathtub my daughter requires, but the room itself was also extremely dirty. We have photographs documenting its condition. When we returned to the front desk, we spoke with Jordyn France, Director of Front Office. Her response to the hotel’s mistake was simply, “Oh, that was our bad.” There was no genuine apology, no concern about the condition of the room, no request to see the photographs, and no sense of urgency to correct the situation. What was even more upsetting was that, after being told multiple times that my daughter has a medical condition requiring a full-size bathtub, Jordyn repeatedly responded with, “If that’s something you need.” Hearing those words over and over was incredibly dismissive. We had already explained that this was a medical need, not a personal preference. We were told that a room with a separate full-size bathtub and separate shower was available, but that we would have to pay an additional $600 per night to move into it. Instead, we were placed in a standard room with a combined shower and small bathtub, which does not meet my daughter’s medical needs because the shower and tub are one unit and cannot be used separately. After the hotel’s own mistake, a compassionate manager would have looked for a way to accommodate us rather than asking us to pay hundreds of dollars more. This experience fell far below the level of service we have come to expect from Hilton. I sincerely hope Hilton reviews how situations like this are handled because guests deserve professionalism, accountability, and compassion—especially when a legitimate medical need has been clearly communicated. FOLLOW-UP TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: I felt it was important to come back and share how our experience ultimately ended, because while our stay certainly did not begin the way we had hoped, I am very happy to say that it ultimately turned into a fantastic experience. A huge part of that was Nicole and Gabriel at the Cabo Wabo Beach Club. We spent several hours there while waiting for our room, and they were absolutely incredible. Gabriel is truly one of the best mixologists I have ever experienced, and both he and Nicole were warm, engaging, accommodating and so much fun. They completely changed the tone of our afternoon and made what could have been a very frustrating wait incredibly enjoyable. They created such a great atmosphere and truly are two of the standouts at this hotel. They deserve special recognition. I also want to express our sincere gratitude to Damian, the hotel manager, who personally stepped in, listened to our concerns and made a tremendous effort to improve our experience. His personal attention, professionalism, and follow through made a meaningful difference and completely changed the trajectory of our stay. We truly appreciated the way he handled everything and the care he showed us. What started as a disappointing experience, ultimately, turned into a fantastic one. We left feeling completely differently than we did when we arrived, and that says a great deal about the people at this hotel. We are genuinely looking forward to returning and will absolutely be recommending The Waterfront Beach Resort to others. Thank you, Nicole, Gabriel and Damian, for turning our stay into such a memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you all again!

My wife is currently staying here for what was supposed to be a relaxing two-night post-birthday getaway after the loss of a loved one. After just the first day, I’m honestly shocked by how poorly things have been handled. We booked this hotel because it’s a Hilton, it has a 4.4-star rating, and it presents itself as a higher-end property. You expect a certain level of cleanliness, attention to detail, and customer service. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been our experience. Before she checked in, my wife made it very clear that she has a medical condition requiring a full-size bathtub. She was assured the room she was assigned would accommodate that. After unpacking and getting settled, she realized it didn’t. To make matters worse, the room itself was dirty. My wife told Jordyn, the Director of Front Office, that she had taken photos of the room’s condition, but there was no interest in seeing them. The response was simply, “Oh, that was our bad.” What bothered me even more was that after my wife explained multiple times that the bathtub wasn’t a preference but a medical necessity, Jordyn repeatedly responded with, “If that’s something you need.” That wording was incredibly dismissive given the circumstances. The only solution offered was for my wife to pay an additional $600 per night for a room that actually had the accommodations she requested before she ever arrived. It’s difficult to understand why a guest should have to pay more to correct a mistake the hotel acknowledged was its own. She was also told they don’t stock basic bathroom amenities like cotton swabs or shower caps in guest rooms and that they have to be requested. On its own, that’s not a big deal. But combined with the dirty room, the incorrect room assignment, and the response from management, it reinforced the feeling that this property isn’t operating at the level you’d expect from Hilton. I get it—hotels have hectic days. When my wife arrived, police were literally arresting someone outside the hotel, so I understand it wasn’t a typical check-in. But that’s exactly why customer service matters. Nobody expects perfection. We do expect honesty, empathy, and some ownership when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that’s what was missing here. I am asking that this matter be reviewed immediately while my wife is still at the property. I hope Hilton will take meaningful steps to correct the room issue, address the unacceptable cleanliness, and salvage the remainder of her stay.

I unfortunately had a bad experience with this hotel. First and foremost, i loved the location. It's a short walk to the beach and the weather was always amazing. The atmosphere can sometimes be fun and relaxing but at night, there were few intoxicated people walking around. The staff were nice but they appeared understaffed and always in a rush. Our room was clean but our toilet was broken when we arrived. Maintenance fixed it partially and although the problem persisted, we decided to put up with the issue since we didn't have time to be in the room while it's being fixed. We also didn't have hot water throughout the day. Some of us had no choice but to shower with cold water a few times during our stay. My biggest issue was when my daughter accidentally left her retainer behind on the bathroom sink and never recovered the item. You'd think you never had to worry about losing a valuable item in a reputable hotel chain like Hilton but unfortunately it happened to us. I was extremely disappointed.

It could be cleaner. Room was clean but there was still trash on the floor and bathroom shower was not completely cleaned. The couch has some stains on it. The elevator had hand prints and the carpet looked dirty for being a high end resort.

It was a truly joyful and unforgettable celebration, made even more special by the outstanding service and genuine hospitality of the entire team. From the moment we arrived, Ashley and Natraj catering ‘s entire team made us feel welcomed and cared for, making every detail seamless , so we can enjoy this weekend with our family and friends. Special thank you to daily banquet managers Selina and others for their exceptional services for each event! Truly impressed with quality of delicious food prepared and served by Natraj catering! Owner himself was present for each event paying attention to detail ! Highly recommend this venue for a truly special occasion🥂 Suggestion to have better coordination between Wedding manager and room assignment team ! Just a quick trip after a week in Norco for soccer with my husband and I. Zero complaints. Location couldn't be better, lots of close shopping and restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. Check in was easy and we got in our room by noon! Beach was beautiful. Staff was very friendly.

We stayed over the weekend for my birthday I’ve stayed at hundreds of Hilton properties around the world being diamond. Not only was it my birthday weekend but I’ve been eyeing this location for our wedding venue for our upcoming wedding. We have a guest list of well over three hundred guests many of who would be staying mutual days at this property. My fiancé is a professional sports player and wanted to check out this property before hand. When checking in we used a Be my guest certificate due to a previous issue. Due to us using that certificate manager that started with J customer service towards us went totally downhill. She treated us extremely poor like I was poor white trash. Had zero customer service and just wanted to charge us extra for everything. Money wasn’t an issue clearly with seeing how many nights we travel a year money isn’t an issue. It’s the point I was given a certificate and should be able to use it with the same customer service. My whole birthday weekend was ruined and now our wedding venue. I’m so thankful I used a voucher so I can see how people are treated who she believes is below her. I would hate for any of my guests to feel the way I felt. I asked multiple times for a gm even called Hilton Diamond desk. But it seems J is blocking every way for us to actually speak to the GM. Restaurant was great and bell boys were amazing. Slide closed early at the pool on Father’s Day weekend leaving us no use of the pool that caused the whole issue from the beginning. Jordyn downgraded us from an Ocean front room to part view in a handicap room. Without my consent or knowledge did I agree to be put into a handicap room and then charged us more. All of this could have been fixed and our wedding could be getting planned if J provided the Hilton standards. She treated many other customers poorly too as my fiancé witnesses. Sad the General manager can’t even put in the effort to call a guest back let alone a Diamond member. Spend your money where you’re valued unfortunately this isn’t the place due to management. I wouldn’t recommend

Celebrated my anniversary with my boyfriend & we had the absolute best time! The pool was great and relaxing, Henry’s was ABSOLUTELY amazing would come back just for the dinner the host (I believe her name was Samantha) was so nice & helpful & gave us a beautiful table made us feel so special! We can’t wait to come back & bring friends with us

Liked the pool, waterslides, restaurant options, and location. I appreciated that the conciere held our luggage until our room was ready and then until we were ready to leave later.

I would have liked there to be more lounge chairs and for it to be quieter in the pool area. I would have appreciated free parking and more value for our money.

We had a very good stay at the Waterfront Beach Resort. The property is well-maintained, the location is excellent, and breakfast was particularly good. The one issue was the EV charging fee. I requested valet charging and later found a flat $25 EV charging charge on my folio. I was not told about the fee when requesting the service, and it appears to apply the same whether the car is plugged in for 10 minutes or 10 hours. I reached out after the stay by both email and text to ask about the charge, but have not received any response since March. Overall, this was a good stay, but the hotel should be more transparent with fees like this one and respond when guests raise billing questions.

Great location. Great staff(everyone is nice). Great family property(my grand daughter loved the water slide). I love that there are so many great restaurants nearby. The rooms are angled so you have an ocean view from every room. The valet is top notch(worth the $50 a night). If you’re looking for a relaxing, problem-free vacation, this is the spot!👍🏽 Can’t wait to come back!

I haven't been here for years. Still a great resort. Roof top bar is nice to watch the sun set but can get noisy. Had a drink and opted for Henry's for dinner. Glad I did. Great wine selection and food. Nice sitting outside with a heater. Jay was an exceptional server. Just had a glitch getting my car. Even though I received text messages it was coming up, apparently it never got uploaded. Eddie noticed I was waiting a while and got it for me. Still, great beach location, great for families and pets.

The hotel is pretty dang beautiful, and a short walk to the beach & Main St. Shoutout to Ryan from the valet service for being an absolute gem. Super helpful, and gave us a ton of great recommendations - the guy deserves a massive raise.

To celebrate such a meaningful milestone, we chose to visit your resort for her first ever night stay in the United States. When we shared our story with your team, we were truly touched by the kindness and care they showed us. To our surprise, they went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly special. Not only was my family warmly accommodated, but our room was thoughtfully decorated with American flags and wonderful goodies to celebrate the occasion. Your staff made my family feel special, welcomed, and most importantly, seen. The level of hospitality and genuine compassion shown during our visit created a memory we will never forget. My third time staying at The Waterfront and the experience just gets better each time! Not only a fantastic view but exemplary staff, exquisite dining, and gorgeous rooms. Aaron on the valet team went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Celina in banquets and Kiki in conferences are just incredible and always make sure we shine to our guests at our conference. Looking forward to our next trip!

I really liked this hotel. The service is on top of things and friendly, often asking to go the extra mile such as offering to combine my multiple Hilton accounts and noticing my do not disturb and double checking I didn’t want housecleaning. The hotel has nice pools and easy access to the beach, though I wish there wasn’t a highway to cross. Luckily there are cross walks. Would come again!

This is a lovely hotel with great amenities. The location is very convenient. It's close to shops and restaurants. We had the room with balcony and a partial view of the ocean. It was spacious and always clean. The toiletries were always refilled. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay!

The ENTIRE STAFF was ALWAYS so friendly and helpful!! Also, the Valet guys were extremely nice and SO FUNNY!! I loved it!

If I HAVE to say something I didn't like it would be that I was charged for parking. I think if you're staying at the hotel, parking should be included.

Location and all the amenities

Being harassed every time we went to the pool by little kids asking us for our Security bracelets. There was also a security guard giving my 12-year-old daughter a hard time for not having her bracelet, but we were staying at the hotel. There was four of us. It was quite aggressive. I’m sorry that people break into your pool area but you should not take it out on all your customers.

We loved our stay here. We brought the kids for spring break and they never left the pool. My husband and I got to enjoy, soaking up the sun and ordering beverages and appetizers from our lounge chair at Cabo Wabo. The property was so clean. The staff were so accommodating and kind. Everybody there was so happy. Room service was very quick when we needed more towels. They were at our room within five minutes and honestly, we did not want to leave.

Customer service and parking attendants were great upon checking in. I could do without the $50/day parking charge, but welcome to California! Great view of the ocean from our room. Very nice pool areas! Walkable to the pier, shopping, and downtown area. The rooms were meh, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was attentive and kind. Special shout out to Leer (Bar Director) who was making sure the pool bar was flowing smoothly. Also want to acknowledge Antonio who was attending the gate at the pool. I managed people my whole career and it’s rare to see a young man with the poise and dedication to his job. He was courteous and attentive the entire day. He made sure to open the gate when coming and going and a friendly hello or goodbye. That is to be commended!!

Rooms need more outlets. They are a bit dated and worn but clean and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel and perfect location! The view from our balcony was stunning! A short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The pool was gorgeous and fun for our kids! Valet service was quick and Matt S. went above and beyond for us- offering to load our luggage and gave us water bottles for the road!

We have been staying at the Waterfront Hilton for close to 20 years. Joseph Boyer and his staff constantly go over and above to make our stay enjoyable. I appreciate everyone at the Waterfront.

Rude Staff, Horrible customer service and non satisfactory experience. From the moment we arrived, we have realized what an unprofessional service we would be experiencing. I had clearly requested a top floor room with ocean view by the time of booking, and they not only didn't honor the top floor neither the full ocean view. The most part of my disappointment was that they didn't bothered themselves to even apologize. There was no shampoo, shower gel and conditioner available until the next afternoon. Restroom had no fan. there was no trash bags available. We asked the service desk for the hygiene stuff the evening we arrived and they provided us the next afternoon after asking several times. Each hotel has a designated area for smokers and unfortunately this so called "Luxury" Hotel/Resort as big as a block didn't have an area for smoking. We were not the only smoker in the Hotel, there were lots of other smokers too and they all have to go on the street to smoke. We have paid the same price what all other guests have paid; however, didn't receive the same service like the others. We were not even allowed to check out the roof top lounge as a hotel guest to decide weather we would like to sit there or not. The lounge front desk didn't let us just because we didn't have a reservation. It was the worse experience we ever had in a trip, specially on my Birthday.

The Huntington Tower is looking more worn. For such a large hotel, there should be a better elevator set up. Long waits.

We loved our upgraded room with a couch and sitting area, fridge, bathroom and two double beds. We loved the view of the pool and the beach/pier from our balcony. We loved the pool for our kids but the convenience of walking to the beach with beach chairs, umbrella and wagon for guests to take with them. We loved the service at each restaurant and bar and were very happy with our stay overall.

I wish they had more water fill stations on each floor of the hotel, maybe a sunscreen applying station at the pool. Otherwise we wouldn't change a thing!

Traveled during spring break and hotel was not prepared; understaffed, not enough beach umbrellas, chairs etc. No real customer service provided unlike previous visits to this location. Lobby and communal areas, not cleaned well.

We stayed at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort for spring break and had an incredible time! The food and craft cocktails at Cabo Wabo Beach Club were outstanding—definitely a highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed breakfast and lunch at The Marketplace most days, and the food was so good we didn’t feel the need to go offsite at all. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. A special thank you to our valets—Eddie, Taylor, and Joe—who were always courteous and quick to retrieve our vehicle. From housekeeping to the servers, valet team, front desk, and concierge, the entire Hilton team made our spring break truly memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time. Location is perfect. We walked to the beach, Main Street and the local restaurants. Never even took the car out. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed Henry's the best. Had top notch service, thanks to everyone, especially Eric. Food was fantastic and they even have a happy hour. The rooftop bar was a disappointment since they were under staffed and couldn't let more people in. Will try it next time since the view is spectacular. We had a few minor issues with our room but Jasmine had it corrected immediately. She went above and beyond to make us happy.
