While the bfast quality was amazing the breakfast system they use is awful! On our first visit for breakfast we were told that we need to wait 45 minutes for a table. Completely unacceptable! Instead we were given a sub-par option to a different restaurant. The day we left same story only to get a table after 10 minutes. We never had such an experience before to any of the hotels we have visited.

Everything was great about the property, very well looked after, great pools, amazing breakfast and facilities on site.

Beach canopies are expensive and provide poor service. Lots of kids in pool area pooring drinks into pool and eat sandwiches in or at pool.

Leider katastrophale Organisation beim Frühstücken. Jeden Morgen 1h Wartezeit auf den Tisch. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie und Preis ein absoluter Fail. Wir haben zum Glück nur den ersten Tag 1h vor dem Restaurant gewartet. Die folgenden Tage ist immer der erste der wach war runter und hat sich auf die Liste setzen lassen und dann den Rest der Familie geweckt. Das war dann ok - aber grundsätzlich müssen die das in den Griff bekommen.

Just back from a week here. This is a truly stunning resort. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the best time. Everything was first class. The Cleaning,, Reception, Beach and Pool staff were excellent, friendly and so attentive. Really miss this resort already. Walking distance to the beach across the bridge over the PCH. So many family friendly restaurants close by. Love this place so much

The only 2 points I have to add here which would not stop me from.coming back is that the Pool bar closes at 5pm which i found a tad early and our room was next door to a noisy family so could hear them taking late at night.

3rd year in a row here. Great site & used to love it, but unlikely to return next year. Will likely try somewhere else. Service / cleanliness has just gone off a bit in a few areas. Room door very stiff to open. Asked for a kettle, didn’t get one. Room keys failed a time, got new ones. When leaving called 3 seperate lines for bell service, not answered. Communal lobby toilets not clean. Communal lounge with gas fire between buildings very dirty and gas fire not always switched on at night. In Starbucks, drip coffee either missing or cold 3 days in a row.

The wait for breakfast was at least 30-60 minutes every morning. I shared my disappointment at the front desk and they said the manager of the restaurant would be in contact with me. I never had any contact.

The Regency is outstanding in every aspect, from the grounds and beatification, staff, our room and the Watertable is a must for breakfast and dinner. Menu items were Outstanding, staff were excellent.

Second time here- we’d keep coming back! The rooms are clean, property is hugely expansive and well kept. We love to quiet spa grotto- best spot!! Staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

Well staffed resort with a main pool area, the staff are super nice and helpful, especially the team at the Watertable over breakfast, which I thought was exceptionally good. Very pricey though if you don’t have it in your room rate, so try and get it included and ask to reserve a table or you’ll be waiting an hour every day for a table. Location is great, they have a bridge over the main road to the beach and provide towels, chairs and umbrellas making a trip there very convenient and easy. The pool bar has a good team serving drinks and food all day and it was decent food with god beer and bar options, again very pricey though. It’s about 20 minutes walk down to the main town and pier which was very lively and vibrant, well worth venturing down there every night for dinner rather than staying at the resort.

It’s not a 5 star resort and unfortunately it charges like one. $60 to valet park EVERY night is ludicrous! You can self park for $20 in the beach car park across the road and park right by their private bridge and walk over, which takes 5 minutes. I actually found the car being there more useful as I could store our beach gear and get it on the way to the beach every day rather than trekking it back to the room. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of being modernised, as does the hotel. It’s big and very busy and not on par with an other 5-star resorts. The pool area is nice but not big enough on the weekends. Good luck trying to get sun lounger if you’re not there early. We’re not talking Spain levels of annoyance, but can be a challenge if you are a bigger family or group. Overall it’s a very expensive place for what it is and that’s why I can’t score it any higher. They are definitely capitalising and profiteering on their location. That said, the staff and team were very helpful and friendly and if I returned it would be for that, not the hotel itself.

The location of this resort was incredible! The rooms are spacious, and it seemed that every room had a great view. We had an issue with the noise in our first room, as it faced the main pool and there was a DJ. The staff moved us quickly. The breakfast was great, although service was VERY slow, and on our last day, rather than ordering off the menu as we had wanted to, we had to grab the buffet. We had finished eating a few trips to the buffet before staff asked what we wanted to drink. The previous days were great, though.

Perfect resort for a family beach vacation. They have beach towels, umbrellas, and sand toys to borrow for the beach. Several pools around the property (one with water slides!) and lots of loungers in the shade. Lovely staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and just an overall great experience.

We came here to celebrate 20 years since our first date with our family. As always, they had plenty of activities for us. There were sand castle lessons on the beach, live music, s’mores fire pits, cosmic slides on Friday night, and Yoga on the beach on Saturday morning. We had an AMAZING family suite that overlooked the ocean. The walk in closet let us hide all our luggage and having the separated shower and bathtub made for a quick way to get ready for dinner. The familiar faces and smiles from all the staff year after year makes this destination special each and every time.

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, met my little families expectation beyond measures traveling with a 6 yr old and an 8 month old isn’t easy but they made it a comfortable and easy stay for us!

Everything was very nice at the Hyatt Huntington Beach! I would recommend you choose this resort and location. You are directly across from the beach and within miles of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point. The only thingmissing at the resort is food at the pool area before 1130am. The grill in the pool area there opens at 1130 but you aren't supposed to take food or drink in of your own. I felt like the resort location needed pizza on site and the market there needed more choices for snacking. It was ok but not very impressive. If you think ahead, take the snacks you love for your room. Overall, we felt good about this location!

Excellent location with Hyatt quality service. Proximity to the beach, with chairs & umbrellas was wonderful. Onsite bike rentals were fantastic as were the dining options and nearby shops & restaurants. Pools & fitness areas were also a plus, including water slides for the kids.

We loved our stay. The direct beach access with free chairs and umbrellas was great. The staff at the pool was amazing and very attentive. It was also one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel.

My daughter and I travel to stay at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach every July for an annual getaway and we have no plans to ever change our destination in the future. It is simply an amazing place that fulfills all your vacation needs. The location is relatively close to the airport, beautifully located across PCH from the beach with a very convenient bridge. The property is incredibly well maintained and the staff is lovely, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are large, so clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The Water Table restaurant is excellent and you can't beat breakfast on their patio overlooking the coast, with amazing food and service. We discovered their little grocery store on property as well that is very well stocked with fresh to-go foods that are made in-house, so you can grab a quick breakfast or lunch there to eat on your balcony. The adult pools are a nice perk of the property. It's easy to walk to Pacific City for lots of restaurants and shops and then on to Main St. Huntington Beach and the pier. Highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach and their tremendous staff!

This was one of the worst Hyatt experiences we've had. The hotel has been doing construction on the kids pool for a week and didn't think to mention that to us when we paid $270 to book a cabana so we could celebrate my wife's birthday with our 5 year old twins. They were also fully booked so we could only stay one night and then spend the following day at the cabana before having it go home. They called us the following morning and notified us that the pool is closed due to unforeseen circumstances and that they would notify us when it opens up. Countless people in the hotel told us that it's been closed since Monday or Tuesday. They then told us that they were not going to charge for the cabana without telling us that what that meant was they were cancelling our order for the cabana. Why would they charge us for something they didnt give us. When asked what we should do, we were advised that we could go next door to the Hilton and use their pool. I was shocked that they actually asked us to leave and go to another hotel. Why would the hotel tell us to go somewhere else. Nonetheless, we went to the Hilton and had to pay $500 to get a cabana. Hyatt ruined my wife's birthday and cost me an additional $500 for no reason. I paid over $700 to stay one night in a basic room that looked like it had not been renovated in 20 years only to be told that if I wanted to have a fun day with the family that I should consider the hotel next door. Not only will I not be coming back to this Hyatt, I will not be recommending this hotel or the Hyatt hotels to friends and family. They made no effort whatsoever to make this situation better. They didnt offer a refund, a discount or anything. They just sent us to another hotel. What a joke.

this is the second visit when the children's pool and slides were not available due to "maintenance". No communication from Hyatt ( second time there that this occurred for a special celebration) that this was the case . The trip was planned for grandchild's birthday celebration. I had spoken with management the first time this happened that it was not acceptable to not notify guests of the lack of children's pool and slides.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach again with my family, and once more, Mike at the front desk made the entire experience feel truly special. From the moment we walked up to check in, Mike greeted us with genuine warmth and that rare ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. He’s incredibly accommodating—nothing too much troubleand his personable nature immediately puts you at ease. What really stood out was how he remembered us from our previous visits. He recalled our names and even remembered little details from our last stay. It’s that kind of personal touch that turns a nice resort into a place that feels like coming home. In an industry where staff interactions can sometimes feel scripted, Mike stands out as the real deal- attentive, friendly, and sincerely invested in making your stay memorable. Hyatt truly has one of the best teams, and Mike is a shining example of why we keep coming back. We r so fortunate to live close enough to visit regularly, and encounters like this with Mike are exactly why we’ll continue to return. He deserves every bit of recognition for going above and beyond! If you’re heading to Huntington Beach Regency, do yourself a favor and say hi to Mike. He’s truly the best and makes the whole resort experience even better. Highly recommend! Oh and breakfast is top notch!!

Absolutely LOVE staying here, true resort experience. From valet and bell and check in, everyone is amazing. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. The property is amazing. I love the water slide area when I bring my kids and the adult spa grotto when I'm traveling solo. Walking to HB over the footbridge is amazing, grab a chair and towel and good to go. The restaurants are fabulous, the shops so fun to walk through, all around amazing place for a beach vacation!

The kid’s area was closed. This was the main reason we booked this hotel. Pretty upset about this but made the best of it and had a great stay.

It is a beautiful hotel with all the trimmings. The beach views and gardens are immaculate. The fitness centre was the best I’ve ever seen and food options really good especially for dietary needs. Rooms spacious and comfortable. The spa area is lovely.

The kids slide pool was closed for maintenance which was a real let down. Our room above the restaurant was super noisy especially when staff set up chairs (they need to but noise cancel stoppers on the chair legs) and the clanging of cutlery at 6:30am meant no sleep in! Our room didn’t get made up one day and no reason given. Massages are way too expensive and using sauna was an extra cost! Main pool area you can’t bring outside drinks or food (why??). On check in I would have liked more information about the amenities and facilities. It felt rushed. More effort seemed to be given to the conference guests. Disappointed by the little things that could be fixed to make this a great place to stay.

We attended a large wedding here and from start to finish, food, location and staff were wonderful. We chose a presidential suite for both family and wedding party gathering and it was pretty fantastic!

I was thoroughly impressed with this resort and the amenities. I went for a business conference, but also brought my family. I was very disheartened to findout at checkout that they had stored my breastmilk improperly and I had to throw it all away. They also lost items that went with my breastmilk cooler and storage, and there was no attempt to try to remedy the situation . I was disappointed in the way that this was handled, and the staff not listening as I told them multiple times the way that it needed to be stored in the freezer. I was planning to leave this resort a five star review, but not really put a dampening on the trip and how I would trust this company in the future.

Couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate Americas 250th birthday and independence. Exceptional stay with the family. We enjoyed the firework show from our fourth-floor balcony facing the beach. What a beautiful resort.

Our daughter Kavita's wedding to Neemit was one of the most memorable weekends of our lives, and we cannot thank Brittany, Kelly, and the entire events team enough for making it so special. From our very first conversations to the final farewell, Brittany was simply outstanding. She was warm, patient, incredibly organized, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail reflected what our families had envisioned. No request ever seemed too small, and no challenge appeared to rattle her. She anticipated needs before we even realized them ourselves, and her calm, reassuring presence allowed us to enjoy the celebration instead of worrying about logistics. Kelly was equally exceptional. She was always on top of every detail, quick to respond, and made the countless moving parts of a large Indian wedding feel effortless. With hundreds of guests, multiple events, and many cultural traditions, there were endless opportunities for things to become complicated—but thanks to Kelly and the team, everything flowed seamlessly. What impressed us most was that we never felt like just another event on the calendar. Brittany, Kelly, Luis, Cliff, Kevin, Phillip, Ginger, Elmer & Mahommed treated our families and guests with genuine kindness, professionalism, and care. Many of our guests commented on how welcoming, attentive, and accommodating everyone at the venue was throughout the weekend. Planning a wedding from St. Louis while the venue was in California could easily have been stressful. Instead, Brittany and her team made the entire experience enjoyable. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to excellence gave us complete confidence every step of the way. This is our favorite family friendly resort. It is instantly pleasant when you arrive and feel the relaxation in the air. It starts with the smell of fresh clean ocean air. We love to get there and go for snacks and drinks at Pete's where we are able to set the kids free to run and play in a safe environment. I highly recommend The Hyatt Huntington Beach. My family and I continue to visit it a couple times a year and are never disappointed.

We had a great stay at this Hyatt. The staff was super nice and caring the whole time. I hurt my thumb while playing beach volleyball, and when I stopped by the front desk to ask for an ice pack, they helped me right away. We also needed a rollaway bed at check-in, and someone brought it to our room almost as soon as we walked in. The location is also very convenient. We were able to walk across the bridge and enjoy a great time at the beach. Overall, everyone we met during our three-night stay was so welcoming and helpful. Really appreciated the great service!

We had such a great experience during a busy weekend at the hotel. I visited the Hyatt with a big family group with multiple rooms and everyone had an amazing time with great service. Niko and Devyn at the front desk were especially great. Rooms were amazing. The view of the beach from our balcony was great on a summer weekend, it was fun to see so much activity at Huntington Beach. The Saturday DJ at the main pool was very fun. We enjoyed spending time at the pool with the music and good food from the pool restaurant. Buffet breakfast at Watertable was delicious, tons of variety and excellent quality. We are Hyatt Globalist members and the Globalist benefits were really great at this hotel. A fantastic stay and we can't wait to come back.

Beautiful and clean resort in an amazing location with a great beach. However, beds/pillows were extremely uncomfortable and amenities were limited if you have really young kids. The staff could have been a bit better as well (no text confirming our room was ready, slow service at restaurant, bellman was quietly rude and not very helpful).

A fabulous location, with the proximity to the beach it’s so relaxing. Did not recognize my loyalty or status with the brand.

Stay away the staff does not care about its guests. We had trouble with our room which was dirty. The initial offer to apologize for the inconvenience was pathetic - a similar room with less of a view due to location and at a lower elevation. I had to negotiate an appropriate solution. Checking out was a nightmare. To get one hour extension on checkout required to trips to the front desk. Should have been handled over the phone.

I have mixed feelings about this Hyatt. The resort is a large, pretty property with beautiful pool areas. It's great for families and dog owners; but in some ways it looks a bit more luxe than it actually is. That seems to mirror Huntington Beach, which isn't as upscale as the beach towns to the south. No doubt for that reason, the resort is also priced better than similar properties in, say, Laguna or Newport Beach, so that's a draw. We've stayed here twice. The first time, our room was well situated but had a terrible odor (we soon realized the air intake for our room was near an official "dog relief" area). However the resort was fully booked (as it often is), so we had to stay put. More recently, we booked a "deluxe king" room; unfortunately the room we were assigned (which fit all of our requests - spacious, top floor, quiet) was again problematic, inset into a courtyard corner, with direct views into every inch of our room from a busy outdoor walkway only feet away. This was a quirk of the hotel's architecture; it seems we would have been better off not booking a "deluxe" room, as there aren't many on the property. And once again, our room (in the spa courtyard) was directly over a "dog relief" area, complete with a plastic bag dispenser. We love dogs, but no. In short, I'm not sure we'll go rushing back, although the grounds are lovely and again, so are the pool areas (especially the lagoon, which we did not have a chance to use). There's also a kids' pool, and this - together with beach access -- are the major draws of the property. One tip: there's now a good, casual seafood restaurant at the end of the pier in town, with panoramic views of the ocean. Otherwise, I do want to give a shout-out to two front desk people who were enormously kind and helpful on our recent visit. Devyn was incredibly patient and showed us several (smaller but more well-situated) rooms as options. Victor was also very empathetic, and assisted us with an issue upon check-out. Both are a credit to the property.

Overall, the hotel is nice. The pool was a little cloudy, but the water temperature was good - a great mix for adults and family. I received a notification that the room was ready for early check-in; however, when we arrived, it was not, and they charged me extra to upgrade to a room that was ready. Plus, there was a miscommunication with the luggage being brought ot the room, they did give us free drink coupons for the trouble, that was nice. That was a little disappointing. Plus, the room only had one water bottle, and we had three people, not that that is a big deal, but when they specifically made a big deal about complimentary waters at check-in, then getting to the room and seeing only one made you take notice.

Such an amazing place to go for vacation. Whether you go with your spouse or take the whole family, they have something for everyone. amazing view of the ocean, garden and pool. 3 different types of pool. Furthermore, the main pool is huge and heated to 80 degrees. They have an island-looking jacuzzi for adults that has 3 jacuzzis in it, and slides for the kiddos in the 3rd section of the hotel. You get a bridge to hop over to the ocean, where they provide you with toys, a chair, a towel, an umbrella and so much more activities for kids. I love this hotel.

The elevators broke, there were no signs directing how to get to our room. There were no clearly marked stairwells. It took us 20 minutes to find our room. Then trying to leave our room, the "exit" signs in the hallways POINT TOWARDS EACHOTHER AND NOT AN EXIT!! Again wasted 30 minutes trying to get out.

Beautiful hotel and even better customer service! No complaints, highly recommend. Positives: Beautiful grounds, lots to see and do right on property for families and adults. Great food in the restaurants, the small market on property is helpful. Large clean comfortable rooms, comfortable beds and a variety of pillows. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff all over the property. Well equipped gym Free water bottles for length of stay (may be for status members, I don't know) Only about 3/4 of a mile into the main strip of town to eat and shop, easy walk. Negatives: Shower water pressure was pretty bad, may be a California regulatory thing Not quite on the beach, it's across the street and over a bridge, so you can't hear the waves from the rooms and it's a little of a walk to the beach but not too bad. If they're going to bother to have a game room, perhaps put a few more games in there besides just several claw machines, one air hockey, one pinball, and a racing game.

This property is always great, the staff gives excellent customer service. I will always stay here, when in Huntington Beach.

This property has been my favorite Hyatt property in SoCal for its unbeatable location and the beautiful ocean view. The room is a bit outdated but very clean. Breakfast is great with both order menu and buffet. I love the short rib hash, meat is so tender. Very friendly staff from valet to front desk to housekeeping team. Valet is very fast considering it’s so busy during memorial weekend. It’s kind of inconvenient that I cannnot access my car during the stay. If you need something from your car, someone from the valet has to get it for you or bring the car to you then you get it yourself. The only thing to improve is the attention to customer notes before approval. We booked a suite and a regular room and requested connecting rooms multiple times, but still ended up with rooms across from each other. I also left notes about special occasions and that was overlooked. When I provided feedback to the hotel, they apologized but no action is offered. Though they are very busy, this could have been a better stay.

Hyatt Huntington Beach was an excellent stay. I can't say anything but good things about it! The room was completely spotless and very comfortable with great amenities. Quiet building. Staff were all very attentive and overly friendly. The check-in/out was smooth, easy. This hotel is very ideal. A+ Experience! Highly recommend.

We stayed for one night only, but since I’m a Globalist member, we were upgraded to an ocean-view room within the same room category I originally reserved. I also asked the front desk if it would be possible to upgrade to a larger room, but since it was Memorial Day weekend, the hotel was fully booked and already at capacity. At the same time, I inquired about a late checkout, but the front desk agent explained that it might not be possible for the same reason. The room itself was a typical king-bed room, but we absolutely loved the view overlooking the pool and the ocean. One of the highlights for us was the dedicated footbridge that made it very easy and convenient to spend time at the beach. We spent most of our day at the Slyder pool area, which is geared toward kids, and we had such a fun time there. Breakfast was amazing as well. We especially loved the made-to-order omelette station at the breakfast buffet, which we happily took advantage of. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be returning in the future.

Your room will cost $45 more per night than what you book it for. There is an unavoidable 'activity' charge because they have a pool. This cost appears on the bill at check out and is not discussed when booking ot at check in.

Very relaxing hotel. Hospitality is warm, the rooms are big and luxurious and the chefs are awesome. We had great breakfast there every day and occasionally lunch, some poolside snacks. All the meals were excellent. I only wish that they had a downtown shuttle.

Nice views, but note this resort does not offer free parking only valet and its $35 for the day and $60 for over night parking per night.

Great hotel, it has a Mexican all-inclusive resort feeling. They provide chairs and umbrellas to use at the beach. They have bikes for rent. Rooms are great. Breakfast is awesome. The gym is pretty big. Also, they have separate pool areas for kids and a separate jacuzzi area for the adults.

The location of the resort in general is good, as it is adjacent to the beach though some (all?) rooms (like mine) look out onto a highway. And the rooms are big. But they are super dated. I was there in 2018 and thought it was dated and went back in 2026 and it has not improved with time. Even little things were not up to current standards—like the bar of soap the hotel provided crumbled into a thousand pieces. Some of the views from common areas are nice given location.

The location is as close to the beach as you can get.

Most luxurious hotel on the beach in all of California. Has the most to offer. Service is top notch. This is a must visit resort stay.

This was a family favorite hotel on our vacation where we hopped around a bit to explore California. It’s proximity to the beach was a big plus. The multiple hot tubs and pools on site were a fantastic way for us to relax and begin our trip. Staff was welcoming and accommodating after they showed us the layout of the facility, they made us aware of which rooms were available and we were able to pick the area of the hotel that we thought suited us best. A lovely experience.

Ein sehr schön angelegtes Resort mit einem tollen Außenbereich. Das Watertable ist ein erstklassiges Restaurant!! Wir waren dort jeden Tag Frühstücken und zum Abendessen, ganz toll. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich.

Es ist alles ordentlich im Zimmer und nichts ist zerkratzt oder so, dennoch könnten sie mal einen Renovierung erhalten. Die Straße stört etwas.

We had a wonderful long Mother's Day weekend. There were 10 of us. We love the location and easy access to the pool, beach and some restaurants. We had a package deal that included the Sunday Buffet and it was amazing.The front desk staff were very helpful and considerate, especially since we were also there for a family members Memorial Service. We will definitely stay again and would recommend it to our friends.

Great conference. The dinner was terrific, and the servers were very professional. The surroundings of this hotel with ocean views are stunning, I would highly recommend anyone traveling to Huntington Beach, CA. to make this one of your stays. You will be glad you did.

Absolutely amazing stay! The staff provided true 5-star service from start to finish. The room was beautiful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is stunning. Highly recommend!

Horrible Customer service. They promised me a late check out as the american express benefits states as a benefit. They told me if I upgrade then I will have the late check out as well. I upgraded to the presidential suite and they changed the promise and kicked me out early. Great Hotel but the customer service is horrible. They did not try to make it up to me in any way. I woke my baby early and left the hotel with a cranky baby. They dont care that I spent a few grand extra for the upgrade. They will kick you out after they get your money
