Modern reception area, always smelled fantastic! The shower pressure was amazing. Basic amenities provided such as toiletries, tea/coffee. You can also order robes and slippers if you’re in one of the superior suites but we didn’t make the opportunity of it. The view we had was fantastic - it was overlooking the harbour and you get a fantastic view of the main strip too. Another perk is the 12pm checkout.

Outdated rooms - requires more TLC. Big chips in some of the floor tiles in the bathroom, dusty in certain areas of the suite, everything just needs updating really. The room given was not the one shown when booking, so the pictures were a little misleading. It’s not completely soundproof either. The bed wasn’t the best - a bit soft and wobbly, and the pillows were stiff as a brick. You do have to wait for a little longer than needed as the property only has 2 small functioning lifts - we didn’t have to use it often during rush hour so we didn’t have any issues with waiting for too long.

Das Zimmer war direkt neben dem Aufzug. Immer wenn der Auszug an der etwas vorbeigefahren ist, war ein lautes schleifen und knallen zu hören, schlafen war nicht bedingt möglich. Aus meine Anmerkung, dass es unmöglich ist so zu schlafen, wurde gesagt, dass der Aufzug in der Nacht ( einer von zweien) von 23-7 Uhr abgeschaltet. Wurde es aber nicht !

Nos encantó la habitación que era muy espaciosa, camas cómodas y con unas vistas impresionantes desde el balcón. El.hotel está bien ubicado, y su gran punto fuerte es el desayuno buffet que es completísimo, de los que más completos he visto.

Que el check in sea a partir de las 15h. Lo consideramos algo tarde. Fue el único inconveniente que tuvimos, el resto todo excelente.

The location is brilliant for the beach and old town. Room number 300 with a town view was great witha massive terrace overlooking the town and marina The restaurant on the 26th floor is lovely...best views in town!

The lift was awful. I am disabled and had to navigate the syairs each morning because it took too long for the lift to come. The restaurant can get full and thete is no othet resident bar.

It was very central. But very dated . I’ve stopped in many Melias and this was nothing like a melia ( maybe many years ago it was). It was very dated , staff were not very helpful , the 2 lifts for 25 floors and that many people was really a hazard , we had to use the stairs most days - thank goodness we were only on the 8th floor , as it was only enough for 4/6 people at a time . Breakfast was very good . We had a great stay in Alicante - but this should not be u see the umbrella off a Melia

Rooms and breakfast area were kept very clean, breakfast options were good! Location was very ideal!!

Only issue was having to wait for the lifts, there were only two, but that is relatively minor. On one occasion, we were going down from the 20th floor and the lift wouldn’t go lower than the 9th floor before apparently resetting and sending us back up to higher floors.This was concerning as it seemed to be malfunctioning/glitching. We took the stairs in the end.

Rapport qualité-prix très décevant par rapport au tarif élevé. La literie est très inconfortable (on ressent les ressorts du matelas). L'hôtel a grandement besoin d'une rénovation globale. De plus, l'ascenseur est extrêmement petit et lent, ce qui génère une attente allant jusqu'à 10 minutes

The two lifts are very busy and can feel like you spend for ages waiting for them. The room was nice however showing some age related marks on walls and furniture.

Staff are really unhelpful and rude. Every requested seemed like an irritation. Bedsheets had holes in them. No iron or ironing board. 2 old lifts to serve more than 25 floors, and they are small and slow. You cannot sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the bath, it is so small and no ventilation.

Très déçue de mon séjour, surtout au vu du prix et de la catégorie de chambre réservée. J’avais réservé une chambre supérieure avec vue ville et mer, qui était présentée avec notamment un balcon et une baignoire. À mon arrivée, j’ai eu une chambre standard avec uniquement une vue sur la ville, sans balcon ni baignoire. Lorsque j’ai signalé le problème, le personnel m’a simplement répondu que « les photos sur Booking ne sont pas la réalité » et que ce n’est pas parce qu’une photo est affichée que l’on aura forcément la même chambre. Une réponse assez surprenante, puisque la catégorie de chambre réservée était clairement différente de celle qui m’a été attribuée. Pour se débarrasser du problème, on m’a ensuite donné le numéro de la directrice, mais celle-ci n’a jamais répondu à mes appels/messages. Aucun véritable suivi n’a donc été proposé. Concernant le rooftop au 24e étage, la vue pourrait être magnifique, mais malheureusement si vous n’avez pas une table proche des fenêtres, vous ne profitez quasiment pas de la vue. Il n’y a pas réellement d’espace extérieur accessible. Il existe un petit balcon permettant de profiter de la vue, mais lorsque les portes sont fermées, cet espace devient inaccessible. Autre point très décevant : le service de ménage. Les femmes de ménage toquent régulièrement à la porte malgré le panneau « Ne pas déranger », viennent récupérer le linge sale mais oublient parfois de remettre du linge propre. Et l’hôtel semble également particulièrement économe sur le papier toilette, ce qui est assez étonnant pour un établissement de cette catégorie. En résumé, l’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement intéressant et d’une très belle vue, mais le service et surtout la gestion de ma réservation ne correspondent absolument pas au niveau attendu. Le plus décevant reste le manque de considération face à mon problème : une chambre inférieure à celle réservée, aucune solution concrète et une directrice impossible à joindre.

The staff were unhelpful from the very beginning, and my experience only got worse after checkout. I accidentally left my AirPods on top of the bed when we checked out at 11:00 AM. We left our bags with the hotel while we toured the city and returned at around 4:30 PM to collect them. Despite having had several hours to find the AirPods, nobody mentioned that I had left anything behind. Unfortunately, I only remembered them once we were already on the train back to Madrid. I immediately checked FindMy, which showed that the AirPods were still at the hotel. I contacted the hotel straight away and asked whether they could investigate and, if found, mail them to my address in Madrid. Initially, I was told that Housekeeping had not found anything. I then followed up with evidence showing that the AirPods were still located there and asked whether they could investigate further. Their response was extremely disappointing. I was simply told that when guests leave something behind, the housekeepers inform the relevant staff member, who records it, and that they had no further information and could not investigate the matter any further. I have previously left personal belongings behind at hotels, and this is the first time I have encountered such a lack of cooperation or willingness to investigate. Given that the location tracking indicated that my AirPods remained at the property, I expected a more proactive and customer-focused response. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and, in my view, reflects poorly on the Meliá Hotels International brand.

Il bagno Molto bello aveva una vasca vecchia al posto della doccia ed il Condizionatore non si potevano regolare le alette , posizionato di fronte al Letto 🥵🤬

Het hotel heeft een perfecte ligging.

Zeer teleurstellend voor een 4-sterrenhotel Er zijn twee oude liften waarvoor je vaak lang moet wachten, en bovendien werken ze niet altijd goed. Het display van de lift valt regelmatig uit, waardoor je niet kunt zien op welke verdieping je bent. De muren van de kamers lijken van karton te zijn gemaakt. Je hoort werkelijk alles wat de buren doen, waardoor het moeilijk is om rustig te slapen. Het beddengoed werd tijdens ons verblijf van 8 dagen maar één keer ververst. De badkamer is zeer klein, verouderd en de douche is van slechte kwaliteit. Als je naar dit hotel komt voor het strand, zou ik zeker een ander hotel kiezen. Er is geen droogrek aanwezig om natte handdoeken en zwemkleding te laten drogen en er is ook geen balkon. Daardoor ben je bijna verplicht om naar een wasserette te gaan om je zwemkleding te wassen, anders begint die snel te stinken. Het ontbijt is elke dag hetzelfde. Er is nauwelijks of geen variatie en naar mijn mening was het eten ook niet altijd even vers. Over het algemeen vind ik dit hotel absoluut geen 4 sterren waard. Naar mijn mening is dit eerder een 3-sterrenhotel. De prijs en de verwachtingen die bij een 4-sterrenhotel horen, worden hier zeker niet waargemaakt.

NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MELIA BRAND!! We were so disappointed with this hotel, having paid €403 for one night (2 standard rooms). Too noisy and none of us slept! We could hear street noise and the bedroom walls are so thin we could hear conversations next door. Bed rock hard and uncomfortable, hard pillows. We struggled to get the aircon right- the room was too cold if we left it on overnight, but too warm if we turned it off. Breakfast was ok, but we expected the usual Meliá standards and this hotel did not achieve them. Overall, this is a dated hotel, badly in need of serious improvements to reach the expectations we have of a Meliá hotel.

El trato del personal, la ubicación privilegiada, la originalidad y carácter del edificio, la limpieza y el cuidado de las instalaciones, así como la variedad y la calidad del desayuno.

Nos hubiera gustado que hubiese más ascensores, aunque reconocemos que el diseño del edificio (mucha altura y poca anchura) quizás no permita instalar ninguno más. Es el precio que hay que pagar por tener un diseño carismático (el hotel es casi el emblema de Alicante).

The location is spot on. In the centre on next to everything. Close to the harbour and good restaurants.

It’s very very outdated. Very old and poor materials. All the doors were not even fireproof the rooms, just very cheap very old and broken plywood. The bathroom is very old and tiles are broken and dirty. The whole hotel really needs an update.

Nothing to shout about, basic but clean. Location is excellent. Breakfast is good with several options. Property is a bit dated but is fine if you’re just using it to sleep/wash. Not enough elevators for the demand. I found the beds were hard and uncomfortable.

Ficámos bastante desiludidos com a experiência, sobretudo por se tratar do nosso primeiro aniversário de casamento, uma data que fizemos questão de referir ao hotel. Pagámos por um quarto superior com vista mar e varanda, mas o quarto atribuído nem sequer tinha varanda. Além disso, o sofá estava bastante degradado, com o revestimento a descascar. Pagámos também por decoração romântica e pedimos check-out tardio, que acabaram por nos cobrar mesmo depois de termos manifestado o nosso descontentamento na receção. O pequeno-almoço também ficou aquém do esperado para um hotel de 4 estrelas, com pouca variedade. Esperávamos mais atenção ao detalhe e consideração por uma ocasião tão especial.

The property is located within an excellent location, easy to walk to most places. The breakfast was good with several options to chose from. The room was basic but clean.

They need more elevators for the size of the property. You could be waiting 5-10 minutes to be able to go in one due to demand. Beds were uncomfortable, felt really hard.

We hit back to our room late, tired and ready for a good nights sleep, the air con was doing its job the room was lovely and cold, but when we came to go to bed there was only thin sheet on the bed, we checked the wardrobe and found a quilt but no cover. Although the quilt looked clean there were stains

L'emplacement est tout simplement parfait, en plein centre-ville et à proximité immédiate de la plage et de toutes les commodités. La chambre était très propre et offrait une vue magnifique sur le port et la ville et le petit déjeuner est parfait.

L'hôtel reste très cher. De plus, attention au minibar : pensant que ses boissons et snacks étaient inclus vu le prix de la chambre, j'ai eu la mauvaise surprise d'être facturé près de 93€ pour une consommation d'une valeur réelle de moins de 15€. Pour ne rien arranger, la somme m'a été prélevée deux fois par erreur malgré mon signalement. Je conseille aux futurs clients de ne surtout rien toucher dans le frigo !

Para ser un 4 estrellas, es un hotel anticuado. Al tener tantas plantas y solo 2 ascensores, siempre tienes que esperar un rato largo para tomar el ascensor. Opté varias veces por bajar por las escaleras, encontré “bichos” (cucarachas) por el camino. El desayuno está bien pero no vale la pena reservar media pensión (desayuno y cena), es mejor el bufete del desayuno que el de la cena.

Po obu sprzątaniach jakie mieliśmy stwierdziliśmy zaginięcie naszych prywatnych przedmiotów. W lodówce przy zameldowaniu znajdowały się niezjedzone posiłki po poprzednich przebywających. Prześcieradła przy zameldowaniu były poplamione.

The view from the room was spectacular. You seldom get the exact room that is in the hotel pictures but I was given the corner room which had views of the city, the sea, the port. Everything else worked great, especially the AC. And the proximity to the beach and the city center is very convenient.

The only thing missing from this hotel is a swimming pool. Otherwise, it's perfect.
