A lovely place to stay, the rooms are spacious and quiet. Breakfast was good. Evening meals were very good and reasonably priced.

The accommodation at the rear of the pub was very nice. Roomy, clean and windows that you could open. An upright fan in room a thoughtful touch. Parking was great too. A interesting pub with history . The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we asked for water for our room. It is nice to know that there is a decent place to stay in Worthing as a lot of our previous places have closed down.

My husband having been a butcher for 50 years did not like the breaded artificial skinned sausage at breakfast. He did mention this and was told that they get them from a butcher's. Perhaps the butcher's shop get these cheap high content bread crumbed sausage bought in for commercial business. Would be nice to have a proper sausage as shown on website pictures.

Booked for 2 12 year old granddaughters and myself expecting a sofa bed plus very large double and sofa bed was broken , I had to sleep on a pull out / z bed , very disappointed, when addressed with manager I was told I should not of been allowed to book that room with my requirements, it’s suitable for 2 adults and a small child , no other rooms available

Drain was slow in the bathroom. Electric fan wasn't very powerful. Quite hot in the room.

The staff were exceptional, they were very accommodating and friendly. There was a lot of parking spaces which was useful and the room was very spacious and extremely clean. I had an amazing sleep and really enjoyed the food they served at the pub.

It’s very near the busy main road , but set back just enough so traffic noise not really an issue.

It needs ventilation or an air on unit with the weather being so warm the room keeps the heat in which caused massive issues sleeping we didn’t sleep great due to this.

Lovely cosy rooms with easy access by road, although note it is next to high speed road ,so take care turning in and getting out .. Mark the host was polite patient and responsive and sorted small issues in room immediately

Bed i thought would be rubbish and creaky and thin mattress but slept amazing. Also quiet and very clean. Staff amazing. Stayed only the night and only to sleep as wedding during day. Breakfast fantastic

The room was a bit hot, can’t be helped given the lovely weather this year. A fan was provided but it was tower fan so not very effective. A traditional fan would be better.

The Coach and Horses is well situated just outside Worthing: a good location. The building where the bedrooms are located is new and comfortable. The bedroom had a large fan and the ensuite bathroom was very good with an excellent shower.

The breakfast was OK but it would be improved with the addition of natural yoghurt, fruit and granola.

Not a good choice if you are staying here as an overnight stop while travelling. Breakfast is compulsory and has to be paid for, but is only served from 8:00 am; despite explaining that we had to leave at 7:30, there was no flexibility whatsoever – neither a refund nor an earlier or takeaway breakfast was offered.

Location was perfect for my golfing trip to Worthing GC. I was in a twin room with very comfortable beds and a wet room. Shower was really powerful. The fan was appreciated as the weather was exceptionally hot. The menu was really varied and all the food was excellent All the staff were really friendly and helpful at all times.

The hairdryer! It was extremely old and weak! I bought one from a local shop which won't go wrong.

we waren hier in een warme periode, en de hotelkamer was echt te warm - ondanks de voorziene ventilatoren hebben we hierdoor niet goed geslapen.

Perfect for visiting Goodwood and local beaches (Littlehampton and Worthing). Nice little pub with rooms in separate building next door, friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely cool garden area in hot weather, plenty of parking.

Lovely fresh clean accomodation, it was just A pity I didnt get there sooner as the kitchen had not long closed I would stop there again in a heart beat hope fully intime to get a meal

If being picky I would say it could be a little bit cleaner, bit of dust in the bathroom around the shower cubicle and the carpet was a little dirty.

History of the building which was the pub/restaurant, new build for the accomodation. Food was good, breakfast included and endless coffee. Staff were great,

On arrival the bed linen was dirty, hadn't been changed, and walking between the two buildings in the rain.

Arrived pretty late for our booking, so phoned ahead to advise, and the staff were very accommodating. Rooms are in a separate building (but only yards away), nice and cosy, well kept, clean - and a comfy bed. Good breakfast selection. For an overnight stay, couldn't ask for more.

The room was unbearably hot - there was a fan in the room but that did not remove the heat sufficiently. Not sure whether this was an issue in this room only or others too. No heating was on in the bedroom or bathroom so strange it was so so hot. If it had been a hot summer day and warm night it would have been intolerable.

Made to feel welcome, everything we needed to know was explained. Our room was clean and very comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast was served in the main pub and there was plenty of choice, food was cooked to order and was fresh and delivered hot. Staff were friendly and overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

My sister-in-law is a wheelchair user, the disabled parking spot was exactly where it needed to be right close to the door into where our room was (room four). We were so well looked after by the most helpful man at breakfast who fetched and carried for my sister-in-law and pushed her in the wheelchair up and down the ramp to get into the restaurant. The food was excellent. Thank you.

Whilst we were not expecting an accessible room, we were delighted by the spacious wet room which allowed us to get the wheelchair into the bathroom. One thing that would’ve made the bathroom even more accessible would be a handle inside the door by the toilet to allow the user to be safe when using the toilet.

It was a beautiful place. Very well maintained from the outside.

Cleaning should be at the higher standard. At nearly £130 a night I would expect a dust free room. Especially at the bottom of wardrobe couldn't keep my belongings there. The layer of dust was really thick. Shower head had some mould and brown grow on it. No pillow protectors, visible yellow stains on bedding.

I had a fantastic stay at the Coach and Horses in Worthing while travelling for work. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive—they genuinely made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another booking. One thing that really stood out was how accommodating they were with my strict gluten-free diet. Although they already had some gluten-free options available, they went above and beyond by sourcing gluten-free cereal specifically for my breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated. I also had dinner in the pub one evening and chose the jerk burger—it was absolutely amazing, full of flavour, and easily one of the highlights of my stay. Check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free. On my last day, I had an early train and expected to miss breakfast, but the staff kindly prepared a gluten-free bacon sandwich for me to take away. That level of care and attention really made a lasting impression. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. A welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and truly exceptional service!

Housekeeping entered our room without permission.. normally there is a do not disturb sign - we went out for the day and came back to find out it has been cleaned (which was lovely) but it’s unusual to enter in most hotels without permission. It’s a big no no round the world.

I didn't have breakfast as I wanted to get to Goodwood early. Dinner in the pub was nice and the waitresses were friendly and helpful.. The location was perfect for my purposes.

The desk was unusable as it's tucked behind a bedside cabinet. Computing lying down is bad for your back! Also the wifi was too weak for streaming.

Mark the manager made this stay, he really put him self out to make everything perfect, food was well priced and excellent!
