Worthing Rest

For one night before attending a wedding just down the road, it was OK! Clean and comfortable. Good WiFi. We did find somewhere to park outside, but only just!

There was no handle on the door to a VERY pokey bathroom, so tricky to open/ close for privacy. Extremely small double, so very little room to move around or change.

Not a lot to be fair

We stayed in the findon rest last week and compared to that it was awful... It was cheaper at the findon rest and the rooms were so much nicer.. it wasnt cleaned properly the room looks like it was falling apart the bathroom was tiny and the paint peeling off, the coffee and tea station was being held up by a bit of wood and the bed was broken

A GOOD PRICE FOR WHAT YOU GET LEAVES TO BE DESIRED BUT THE PRICE COMPENSATES IT WE WERE ALREADY AT THE LOCAtuon BUT WE STILL DIDN'T KNOW WHERE WE WOULD SLEEP. I had to call to get information, which has not happened yet.

He was clean. Despite being poor. But I had a good time there, I'll come back if I get information in time.

Room was clean tidy well set out had tea coffee kettle, iron, fan. Shower room was great.

A bottle of water would have been a 10/10. Potentially iron the bedding was a bit crinkled for my liking but im fussy :)

The location was good in findon and parking wasn’t an issue.

The room was not how described and was nothing like the pictures. The booking stated it came with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries which were not provided, there was no good sized mirror only a tiny circle above the sink which was too small for functional use. I had to go out to buy bed sheets due to the mysterious brown stains on the duvet cover. I had planned to just use the spare bed sheet but they were just as bad. There was no lock on the bathroom door. There were dents on the walls instead of artwork and electrics coming loose. There was no working light in the bathroom. The place just felt and looked grubby. On the positives they provided a fan. I would not stay here again

Nachdem wir den Gastgeber kontaktiert haben hat er recht schnell alle Informationen gesendet, damit wir die Unterkunft finden und beziehen können. Das Internet war recht gut. Das Bett war ganz ok. Der Ort sehr beschaulich. Das Zimmer eigentlich groß genug für einen Tisch und einen Stuhl.

Leider kein Tisch und als Sitzgelegenheit nur eine Couch. Die Zimmernachbarn waren am Abend extrem laut. Leider keine gute Isolierung..

Location and cheap

The location & the fact the proprietor offered to compensate us for our inconvenience.

Didn't receive any notifications regarding room no, keysafe code, made numerous calls to 2 mobile phones without success plus texts messages. Key was very stiff to open bedroom door, no First Aid kit, toilet paper holder broken off & in bathroom cabinet, all in all, very disappointing.

Central, clean, easy, straight forward. Good value for money, just what I needed (a clean bed and bedroom in heart of Findon).

The room was very hot, but that was to be expected during a heatwave without air conditioning; the fan having been left on was a thoughtful gesture.

WiFi didn't seem to be working and no response when messaged owners. Would be great if there was a long mirror, even if not in room but on landing. Only had a very small make up mirror in bathroom.

Mirror wrong height, v poorly lit in bathroom, shower quite old and could do with a spruce up, but for the price paid it was fine.

I know I'm supposed to write " you get what you pay for " and yes , it's a very reasonably priced room , but this is really taking " basic " to the next level I booked a room for an interview the next day , 12 mins away so I didn't want to spend a fortune as I just needed a bed and a rest for the night The hottest night of the year, no air con , NO FANS despite listing one as part of the facilities.( Had I known I'd have brought my own ) The broken air con unit thermostat said it was 30 degrees in the room . I texted the host for a fan and was told they would " look into this the next day " as though that was supposed to help .Spent the whole night melting and quite frankly woke up the next day looking like I'd spent the night in a dishwasher. The furniture is beyond tired . As was I .

The location is very good, a peaceful village. The room is big and the bed very comfy.

Probably I would add a tiny desk and some more lights. But these are just suggestions, the room was fine and I am very happy.

The partition bathroom door was hanging off its hinges and had holes in it, the bed throw had a whole variety of stains and was clearly unclean, a duvet cover was too small for the duvet which hung out by about 1 foot and had a stain on it

A bit chilly, and I could not work out the radiator on the wall. TV gave i players info but then kept saying no internert connection.

It was in findon

Room 9, FACTUALLY! There was no heating at all. (until the owner dealt with it). The bedsheet was torn. The windows were mouldy, and soaked from condensation. The extra bed covering had a blood like stain on it, with other stains. The basin in the bathroom was a small cistern sized basin, only large enough to fit a small cup under, to fill the kettle. The unit next to the bed only had one handle and missing legs, so it leant to one side. The walls had damp on them. The bathroom door was dirty and full of refilled holes and left with not painting. Plus years of hand marks. The lino on the bathroom floor was dirty and not fitted. The plug hole was dirty. The carpet was grubby. The bed is broken at the foot end. The bathroom only had one light bulb, 2 dead bulbs. Leaving it in poor lighting. The bathroom heater didn't work. The hallway stairs are full of dirt. The hallway has signs of a leak in the roof. I high lighted the lack of heating and torn sheet, plus the lack of light. And we were moved to room 11. This room was much bigger, smelt of mould. The heating was on, but not very high. 19c. Once we had checked out, I received a call from the owner, On a different number!! complaining that the room was like a "sauna". He then stated that it was "ludicrous" to have the room at 19c as it costs him ,"£15 per day to heat a room". Then he berated me for not pushing a button on the previous rooms heating system. (Even though there were numerous laminated posters stating. DO NOT TOUCH THE EQUIPMENT, ONLY USE THE WIRELESS THERMOSTAT. Worthing rest owner told me he was only charging £45 per night, even though we were charged £66 pound a night, and he was on his knees with the business. In my opinion, if the hotel is too much to do, then sell it. He doesn't maintain the property, the sheets aren't even pressed. The hallway and carpets are dirty. And it is very poor for the lovely area of Findon.

Exactly what I would expect from a cheap room for a night. This is no frills - bed, kettle, bathroom. But clean and comfortable. Ideal as a place nearby for a wedding down the road.

This really is no frills accommodation. I wouldn't stay for a longer holiday, but great for a couple of nights.

Bathroom heater did not work making morning shower very unpleasant. Room and bathroom a bit musky , could do with a couple of reed diffusers to make it a lot better

The location is very very nice, cleanliness is nonexistent, my beddings were so dirty I don’t think they were even cleaned before my arrival, even when I did bring this to the attention of the management, they just covered the dirty duvet with another cover, the dirty pillows had stains and weren’t changed even after I had complained , I was there for 10 nights, my room wasn’t cleaned not even once,under the bed it’s fifth, the bathroom sink is so small, one can’t even wash one’s face in the morning without creating a puddle on the floor. There is a group of coming to Worthing for two weeks every month for the next 6 months, some of the guys stayed at the Regency Rooms in Littlehampton, and theirs was like 5 star for just £3 more a night to what I paid. If they can improve on cleanliness and provide the right size beddings they could be a nice little cozy place. 10 nights and not even once was the room cleaned, that is a record. There is not even a door card to hung on the door to request any housekeeping

Room met requirements and expectations. Located close to where I needed to be and multitude of food options within a short drive. Comfortable and quiet. Had a good nights sleep after a wet and windy day on the Downs.

The screw heads sticking out of the en-suite floor presumably as a repair were a concern especially with bare feet although once spotted I was careful to avoid standing on them.
