Sonesta Select Los Angeles Torrance South Bay

I loved that the rooms were clean, and there was good-smelling shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The wifi was also sufficient for most tasks.

There wasn't anything that I disliked. The staff was friendly and I was happy with my stay.

The pool was great. Staff was friendly.

The Starbucks coffee would not accept cash. I don't use cards for everything. Cash should still be accepted, since it is legal tender. Won't stay there again.

Wonderful

It was perfect

Location and lobby very comfortable and clean

Front desk not very welcoming it was like wait your ID credit card and bye plus the TV in room was bad location couldn't see part of the screen due to shelf near it that was very annoying

great location to everywhere, safe neighborhood, losts of reatuarants nearby

The hotel is in a convenient location, close to supermarkets and a small shopping center. The surrounding area felt safe, and there is free parking available, which was a big plus. 🅿️ On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. A $125 deposit was required at check-in, but we received the refund the day after check-out, which was very efficient. 👍

The hotel and its facilities are a little dated. The room has carpeted flooring, and there was a slight musty smell and some humidity in the room. We also noticed a few mosquitoes. 🦟 The room does have a hair dryer and a refrigerator, but there is no microwave. The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, so it is not well ventilated. The room lights are motion-activated, so when you go to the bathroom at night, the hallway lights turn on automatically.

Staff were very kind and helpful

Close to the freeway, shopping, and restaurants.

There were ants in my restroom, and no microwave in the room. Also cleaning services were only provided upon request and they took a while to respond.

Fascility and ambiance

Nothing

I liked the pool. It was large, decent, and the fire pit was nice. I didn’t go in because it was too cold for me but my son who doesn’t care loved it. It did feel heated I just prefer jacuzzis. It was pet friendly and I have one which was primarily why we booked this location. Staff were extremely friendly, nice, and accommodating. I give staff 10/10 even though the facility I wouldn’t.

I didn’t like how the rooms smelled. Staff even tried to give us another room and it’s like this muskey smell. I also found mold in the painting. As well as on the curtains. We would have left if it wasn’t hard to find pet friendly hotels. The bed and towels felt clean but it felt like a smoke room even the fact that the facility is smoke free. Again, it may be mold or old carpets. For the price, it was very overpriced compared to similar places I stayed without those issues and free breakfast. To have to pay for breakfast here, coffee is only available for a short amount of time, and there wasn’t a microwave in the room causing us to spend more than I’d normally like.

Clean. Very friendly man checking us in

The pool was not warm. So didnt spend time Im it as we would have

Good for families

Pool maintenance

Easy access to highway. Quiet rooms. Good lobby area. Nice restaurants (shake shack and Panera bread) nearby.

Could hear some noise from adjacent rooms at times.

Location. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful, welcoming.

Pool was filthy. Evening staff was very rude! Minimal food available for breakfast

The property was clean.

Everything was okay, I had no complaints.

I needed somewhere to go while my home was being painted for sale. I was utterly exhausted when I arrived. The room was quiet and cozy and the bed was amazing. Clean! The room was clean in the corners (IYKYK) and that really matters to me. I liked the toiletries available. They have housekeeping every 4 days, which I actually loved because I"m pretty tidy and no one was knocking on my door. I just crawled in and slept and had groceries/food delivered. The poor had some debris because it was windy, so I opted out. There's no jacuzzi (they turned it into a gym). The front desk staff (Iris..?) was super professional and warm. I asked for a microwave and within about 4 minutes a sweet staffer was there to deliver and plug it in. I loved that big curved sofa. Propped up my laptop and got to work. Overall it was a much needed, restful stay.

I was going to say the hall carpets needed a cleaning, but there was a staffer doing it on like day 3 and they looked fantastic when he was done, so they are on top of maintaining the property. Look, it's not a lux hotel. The area is super basic and the views looking out at the city aren't anything to write home about. That has nothing to do with the hotel itself. But the place is a really decent resting point and the staff is well-trained. Kudos to the manager.

The proximity to the beach the proximity to amusement park and more.

The staff the room and safety.

I love the convenience of the Sonesta and it’s location. It was not in the most beautiful area, but it was in a convenient area close to everything north south east and west very close to the beaches Redondo, Manhattan, and Santa Monica.

It was quite and it had a back entrance for convenience

No microwave and no amenities were provided on my 2nd day and I believe someone entered the room while I was away

Close to amenities, free parking, quick elevators, nice lobby with good seating.

The parking lot along the fence to the east smelled strongly of pee and the bathtub didn’t drain well.

At Sonesta sSouth Bay the staff is very welcoming and thr best part is that the staff make a guest like myself accommodated. Not mention te grounds are clean and beautiful

Nothing it a pleasant every time

I love that the crew showed respect to my aunt during her time of grief. She rented out the hall to celebrate her passing husband's homegoing.. the staff was amazing the room was nice and was comfy.

The coffee pot wasn't the cleanest. There were particles in the water. Other than that everything else was cool. I respect it but don't like that I was charged an out of state fee.

No tiene parqueadero seguro

1st time staying at this location. The desk agent Raphael was very helpful. To our surprise everything was pleasant. We will stay again..

The location to freeway and beaches

That it wasn’t made known before booking that yearly renovations and cleaning would be going on while staying there

It was great for what we needed it for

None

I love the guy that checked us in and the young gentleman at the bakery downstairs. The nicest people ever! I lvoe the bed and the pressure in the water was amazing!!

Location wasn't the best.

The breakfast was basic, but very convenient. A few items that should have been available from the breakfast menu were not.

There needs to be more choice for people with diet issues. For instance, I am lactose and carb intolerant, so there was little to choose fromcomfortable

Quiet with quick service

The breakfast options were lacking

Staff are wonderful

Sockets not working on bed side tables frayed material on couches blackout curtains with holes in it Blood/stains on the carpet.

It was peaceful and a nice fet away

The whole grounds are beautiful & the rooms are jyst as beautifull

Great stay for a quick stop over after a long flight

Great hotel and staff, the breakfast is too expensive.

Price of the breakfast

The toilet was malfunctioning, the bathtub getting filled with water up to my ankle during a shower, requested to have beds made by house keeping and no one ever came.

The property was very nice and well maintained by the facility

I didn’t like that the coffee shop closed down very early

everything except the wifi speed

wifi was slow

Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and location felt safe

I loved that although it’s small, and contained, it’s well kept and the staff is very attentive. It’s also pretty quiet! Loved our patio!

Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious

No hot water to shower. Neighbor next to me was playing his music so loud at 8 o’clock in the morning

I like nothing at the hotel . The hotel is very dirty. The carpets are ugly like anything. I went with my family with 2 kids and the hotel is not definitely recommended for the people who are family. It’s dirty . Very dirty

The hotel is very dirty

Room i had wasn't clean had to change roo.s twice 1st room shower was dirty , gave me a second room and that room was dirty bathroom and the toilet stayed running for 4 days , water pressure was super low it was just not good experience

Room cleaning, making sure items are being moved to actually clean room. Be mindful of the lose hair in the sink , toilet and or towels Elevators not clean place is falling apart staff doesn't seem to care

Due to the Inadequqte maintenance of the property, I departed on the same day I arrived, thus I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast. The Location was ideal, and the Sole positive aspect was its proximity to where I needed to be.

The sole area of cleanliness was the hotel lobby. The premises were unkempt, ranging from the elevator to the soiled hallways and carpet, extending into the room. I acknowledge that the hotel is pet-friendly, however, there was a dog barking incessantly from the moment I entered my room.

Loin de tout commerce

Front desk personnel were very helpful.

A bit run-down, broken shower knob, cracks in the tiles, rugs filthy, and sketchy clientele.

Clean facility, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff at the desk and around the facility

No microwave No vegan breakfast options

Nice

Great location
