Location was good and the room/ bathroom was very comfortable and clean. Japanese style, minimalist decoration. The parking is free of charge.

The bath and the atmosphere

the breakfast was too Japanese oriented. Usually in California I expect fruit and granola and yougurt which were not very available here.

Although the location is in Torrance, which is generally safe, it’s best to avoid the area east of Western Ave. Access is good, as there’s a restaurant (in a mall) within walking distance (about 3 minutes). Walking at night is fine as long as you’re careful. However, since this is LA, please be aware that there are risks. Parking is self-parking and free. The room is well-maintained, though the wallpaper is peeling slightly due to age. It’s not enough to be a concern. There’s absolutely no view from the window. The room is spacious. The rates are a bit on the high side. Since it’s popular, you’ll need to book early. The reception has staff who speak Japanese, which is reassuring. The restaurant serves breakfast, and since it’s Japanese cuisine, it’s very good. The quality of the food has declined compared to before. They don’t cook in front of you; instead, they serve dishes prepared in the kitchen. The rice is on the firm side. It’s not quite like in Japan. The mackerel is delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast here. The bathroom is larger than those in Japanese hotels and is not a unit bath. It features a deep bathtub and a separate shower area; bath amenities do not include toothbrushes or razors. Shampoo and other essentials are provided in the bathroom. It’s average. The toilet with a bidet seat is excellent. It’s a shame the TV isn’t a smart TV. I wish they’d make it possible to watch Netflix and YouTube. Rooms are cleaned daily. Towels are changed daily too. They keep everything clean. The staff works diligently, so I feel quite at ease. The deciding factors were the breakfast and the bath—they’re the best, so I booked here. This is the best hotel you can experience in the U.S. outside of this place. The airport shuttle costs $25. It’s a pity there’s only one trip a day, but it’s cheap. An Uber would cost over $50.

Stayed here because of proximity to work location. Also very accessible to LAX. Quiet immediate surroundings but busy street and many shops and restaurants within a short drive. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Japanese hotel has some nice touches like large soaking tub with very hot water if desired. Japanese restaurant and spa in the hotel. 24 hour self check out mini store (wish they had some Japanese snacks and drinks). The breakfast buffet was over $30, and I would only recommend if it’s for you. Service was excellent and super friendly. Quiet hotel.

日系企業の多いトーランスにあります。空港からも20分くらいで来られます。ダウンタウンとちがって落ち着いた環境なので良いです。 また近くにモールやフードコートがあり寿司や天ぷらなどの和食もあります

LAX空港からホテルまでのリムジンバスがないとホテル到着まで非常に煩わしいです。空港近辺のホテルの多くはリムジンバスがあるので、今後はどうしても空港近くのホテルになってしまいます。

Clean facility. Kind staff..The bed was super comfortable I was in town for a work event and my rental car battery died as I was getting ready to head to the airport. Enterprise was going to charge me $60(and an hour wait) to come jump it but the kind guy at the front desk called one of the employees, Moose, to come jump my car for me. They were both so helpful. I was able to catch my flight in time because of those kind souls.

Staff was incredibly rude on the phone when I called from my room I was polite and they acted like I shouldn't be calling at all I had an issue with my ac not working when I got there and some guys fixed it wich was annoying but I didn't mind but the lady in room service told me there was nothing wrong at all very rudely she must be miserable but any ways it got fixed the guys even told me it wasn't working correctly and the lady at the front talked to me like I was stupid and shouldn't have even bothered to get it fixed also there was trash underneath my bed from previous stays I toook pictures as well there was an old Mac and cheese underneath I feel like for the price I paid of the highest room underneath the bed should definitely be clean also the restraunt was so mediocre the food was mediocre the staff were unnatentive to me and my fianve but to ppl in suits they were there immediately I had to get up and ask twice for the check because I was being patient and already waited and checked my watch for 15 minutes after they had taken all my dishes and told them I was ready executive room literally comes with nothing except the bed TV and mini fridge and a high floor level no spa acces no massage or anything like tht just a typical room nothing special. I've stayed at Marriotts with a similar level or better honestly.

Staff was amazing! Our stay was really quiet which we like. We also love the restaurant that’s inside the hotel. It is the best place we’ve stayed.

Good Japenses style hotel, but the furniture looks outdated and worn. Restaurant downstairs is good with excellent service.

Front desk clerks are not polite, gave us no introduction at all. When we checked out ans asking for a receipt, they refused to provide, though booking shows the invoice shall be obtained from the property. I tried to ask afterwards, but no result. It is really a poor service, not Japensess service lever at all!

Close from/to LAX airport. Very clean room and facility. Friendly and helpful staff. Japanese style bathroom, a big tub and washing space. Excellent authentic Japanese breakfast.

The bathtub was honestly the highlight of the room and the main reason I chose this hotel. As much as I have complaints about other aspects of my stay, this tub alone was amazing enough that I would come back just for it. Perfect depth. Tub filled up nice and fast. Good range of temperature on the water. The on-site restaurant was amazing. Food was delicious and staff was attentive. Also appreciate the grab-and-go mart. Very close to the elevators and convenient for a quick snack / drink. I like my room cold and the AC did a solid job of cooling down the room without being too noisy. The hotel is practically right down the road from some great shopping centers / food spots.

The bed wasn't the best. It was too soft for my preference - no support. Sitting down I could feel my body sinking in and hitting the hard base underneath. The bidet didn't work half the time The side couch had a few stains. One of the reading lights by the bed did not work Not a fan of the lighting set up in general. Certains parts of the room felt too dark even with all the lights on. As multiple reviews have pointed out, the wifi is awful. Connection is extremely slow. Couldn't even use my personal phone data as the location itself had bad signal.

Traveled there for business. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was pleasantly large with a big walk-in shower. Help Desk, housekeeping & restaurant employees were all of high caliber, & extremely attentive. Hotel was very quiet despite being booked allowing for excellent sleep. If you want a clean hotel with great service this is for you.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. An issue like all hotels is the AC did not keep the room cool enough so nights sleeping were always too hot and nothing could help lower the temperature. They have a "Grab and go" for snacks and sell cereal and ramen and other snacks BUT NO SILVERWARE!!! So grab some plastic ware before you go or youll be eating ramen with your hands at midnight due to no silverware and in hotel restaurant is closed. Also, paid for the executive suite but was not impressed. Standard mini fridge instead of a full size and nothing distinct to make you think "yup this is worth the extra and is an executive style suite". Will book somewhere else next time.

Wow! This beautiful little hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We decided to do a staycation while attending the 2nd Annual Sake Festival at the hotel on Saturday. We didn't want to day drink and drive back home to West LA, so we booked a one-night stay here for $225, including taxes, on Expedia. There's plenty of free self parking, which is just great. Valet services are available if you need them, but we didn't. For that room rate, I really didn't expect much, but the Deluxe King room was massive! Very clean and just gorgeous! Large bathroom with a shower and tub area separate from the bathroom sink and mirror and Japanese toilet. There was every amenity you could think of in the bathroom, and lots of towels. After dinner and drinks at the hotel, we took a soothing soak in the bathtub, then wrapped ourselves in the plush robes, which was very nice. The king bed was large and comfy, with 6 pillows and very nice linens. There was a living room area with a couch, table, desk, and a separate little bar area with a sink and faucet and microwave. The only downside was the room temperature, as the hotel has central a/c, which you cannot individually control. Engineer brought us a box fan so we could sleep comfortably that evening, as it was otherwise too warm.

I closed the curtains over the two floor-to-ceiling windows, and turned down the air conditioning, or so I thought. When we came back to the room around 8:30 that evening, it was around 75 degrees, despite showing a temperature of 62. I called the front desk and an engineer came to the room. He said they have central air conditioning, and you cannot individually control the temperature in the room. I told him it was too hot for us to comfortably sleep, and he offered to bring up a large box fan, which we accepted. He set it up on the desk across from the bed, and we slept very well with the fan blowing on us all night. I would definitely come back again, as it was such great value for the money, clean and very quiet, too. We'd just make sure to order a box fan for the room in advance.

HVAC issues. Changed rooms to get A/C. 2nd room also no A/C. We were told it wasn't working bc we took a hot shower. Poorly handled.

Have stayed at the Hybrid around 15-20 nights in the last year and I can see the place going downhill. 1. My last trip, there was no hot water in the room and the TV didn't work. 2. This trip, there were no bath towels in the shower, the TV didn't work and when the person in the next room turned on the shower it was so loud it felt like an airport runway. Also, there was no ironing board or iron provided. Management needs to take note of this...

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and within walking distance of several eateries. Will stay here again.

The hotel definitely requires a renovation. We found a contact lense inside the hand towel tray. The chairs in the room are very dated and partially worn off.

I have stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed it. This time I did not. I booked an Exec.King, which is located on the top floor (which I prefer because it is quiet) and has a sliding door which you can open to get fresh air and step out into a small area. At check in I was told I was "upgraded" to a 2nd floor suite. After staying in the room for 2 nights it was actually a "downgrade". This 2nd floor "suite" instead of on the top floor (where my original room was) this room looked straight into the parking lot. There was no sliding door so no fresh air, just windows. Because of its location on the 2nd floor, during the early evening and early morning there was a banging sound from either above or below. I suspect it was from below since the floor below is the lobby area, restaurant and public rooms, it was loud enough that it woke me up, this happened both nights. Like another post said the Wi-Fi constantly went on and off. Yes, the room is larger but the noise, no fresh air and looking at the parking lot was not an "upgrade". I suspect they didn't have a room on the top floor and wanted to make it sound like I was going to be in a better room. Not the case.
