Location
Nothing
Location is excellent. Lobby is beautiful. Staff were lovely and accommodated us with a very late check in.
The shower curtain was an absolute nuisance. It kept blowing around which made showering very difficult. Doors constantly banging and the hoover being whacked off of your bedroom door in the morning. We were put in a room where there was a man painting outside our door for 2 days. It is very outdated as others mentioned not enough sockets and paint peeling off the ceiling and cracks in the ceiling.
Good location. Good choice at breakfast. Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful
Tv was missing channels but was replaced when i told reception along with light bulbs that weren't working. Breakfast food could be hotter was only slightly warm .
First stayed in 2008 and still a good place to stay.
Bar not open, fancied a pint after walking home from gig.

Unreasonable no of emails seeking auto check-in Otherwise no downsides

The staircase and chandeliers were beautiful.
Expecting to see those twins from The Shining every time I turned a corner. Thankfully, I didn’t!
arrived at 16.00. Room not available at check in. Had to wait 25 mins
Nothing
Having my room cancelled without my knowledge, turning up to the hotel to be told they have no room for me despite paying for it in advance and not being offered a refund by the rude staff at the front desk .
Great value , right in the city centre . Lovely grade 2 listed building .
Nothing
It looks pretty
It says a window room and the window is like 2 feet x 2 feet. It was incredibly small almost a joke or a gag how small it was
The hotel was a good location.
The hotel us very outdated and needs an update. The rooms were clean but very basic, there was no fridge and no mirror apart from the bathroom so struggle to dry your hair. The room was was also very warm so uncomfortable to sleep.
The hotel is well situated near Picadilly Gardens so great for transport links. It is functional but basic. It is however in a very grand building with an amazingly large staircase with chandeliers. It's worth going just to climb and admire the architecture and staircase.
Virkelig god placering. Vi skulle aldrig gå mere end 7 minutter til det hele.
Det var aldrig skiftet på sengen eller gjort rent.
Hotel was in a good location to get to where you needed to go.
Check in was slow, room was dirty, handles / appliances etc all rusty and no window or air con in the middle of July. Had to go and iron my clothes downstairs in reception as no irons for rooms. Not good quality for money at all.
We stayed here 20 years ago and it was outdated back then and nothing has changed since.

Location is good
Overall experience nad after paying so much money No air conditioning facility
The lobby was beautiful.
The room was dirty, the shower didn't work and there seemed to be a lot of drug addicts staying there. I was terrified the whole stay.
The location of the hotel is fantastic
I booked a room with no window and when I checked in there was a window
Friendly staff friendly atmosphere clean room
Nothing really except the price is getting higher and higher
Friendly check in staff. Great central location. Basic rooms but ideal for a 'night out' kind of stay
Could do with thicker mattresses. Very hard beds.
The location was good. The initial welcome at reception was pleasant and the lady at breakfast was pleasant.
My expectations were not high, i paid low cost because all i needed was a bed for the night to put me in closer proximity for a conference in the morning to avoid a very early start. I would have been better off doing the early morning start as i had approximately 2 hours sleep. The noise of the extractor in the room was unbearable. I called reception at approx midnight and was told by reception the extractor should turn off is approx 15/20 minutes but there was no switch to manually turn it off, i called again just before 2 am to be told - no one else is complaining, i suggested perhaps it sounded like an issue with the equipment in the room as opposed the hotel and was told someone would come check in 5/10 minutes no one came. Breakfast variety was as expected but the cooked breakfast items were ice cold.
Prima kamer een mooie locatie op slechts een paar minuten lopen van Manchester Picadily
Het inchecken en het gebruik van de kofferopslag ging erg langzaam
Location, option of breakfast, room cleaned after 5 says. Hot showers.c
I remade my bed on day one, the doona cover was too big for the doona. It was all scrunched up at the end of the bed Day 5 perfected made after changes of bedding.
Good location near Manchester Piccadilly station. Price reasonable considering location. Room clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV worked. Bathroom dated but adequate.
Walls in room paper thin. Could hear the person in the next room snoring like a warthog all night so got about one hour of sleep. Hardly anybody else in any of the rooms on my floor so why couldn't I have been allocated a room with two empty rooms either side of me? Long queue at check-in. No ceiling light in room. Mattress thin, hard and very uncomfortable.
Location
Room was not compatible to sleep so much noise from outside I would like to request full refund of room charges because 2 nights I couldn’t sleep because of the all noise from outside
Location and the old building
N/a
La ubicación. Y la relación calidad-precio.
No limpiaron la habitación, ni cambiaron las toallas en los tres días que estuvimos allí.
Nothing. Literally nothing.
Everything. It was old, dilapidated, dirty, chaotic and SO expensive to boot. Genuinely mindblowing.
The view and the building is beautiful. Through the floor kept making sounds
Good location near the train station if you are travelling
The location is amazing - right in the centre of town for an affordable price. The building looks amazing too - very grand and old.
I paid for late checkout as I had a late flight but the person checking me in didn't know what that gave me, so I had to confirm a couple of times that I had what I paid for. Then on the morning of checkout I was disturbed 3 times (including one person walking in on me without knocking) because no one informed the cleaning staff I had late checkout so it was a very stressful morning explaining to them each time I should still be here.
Close to everything and a nice looking hotel, Baggage storage service
Check out at 10 Rooms and bathrooms a little outdated perhaps
Close to everywhere and a beautiful hotel for a good price
Nothing to fault really
Central too the city and well kept and organised hotel !
Good location and cheap
Like many old hotels, it’s seen better days. That aside, despite ‘No Smoking’ signs all over the place the room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke, which was quite off putting
Location was very good for us.
Power plugs were under desk & in corners behind desk lamps. In addition, sink did not hold water to enable a manual shave. Insufficient space to put suit cases.
The fact that it was in the city centre
I had a window room but it was pointless as the windows were very very dirty and could not see the view out and mechanism for the windows to open wete terrible and very old. Also had no room service during the stay and the bath/ shower facilites were outdated. The bed was very very uncomfortable and hars aswell as the pillows no where near any other beds i have slept on in any other hotel abroad or in the uk like travel lodge premier or holiday inn express the only thing that was good was the look of the hotel in the lobby and leading to your room looks bice apart from that everything else was terrible despite the cheap price i dont think id stay here again.
It was cheap and the staff were lovely
The toilet door wouldn’t lock The hairdryer wouldn’t work No plugs near the bed only across the room No main light only lamps which made the room very dim
Overall, the room was clean and comfortable for a two-night stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful for the most part. I was also able to leave my luggage with the hotel free of charge while I explored, which was good. The location of the hotel is very central, and very close to Piccadilly station, so it was very convenient
The main complaint would be that the walls were too thin, so I could hear things from the next bedroom or from outside. Thankfully, my neighbors weren't too bad (or maybe I went at a less busy time), so this didn't bother me too much. There were also fewer amenities than I'd expect (e.g. no body lotion, fridge etc.).
We had a great stay perfect location for what we wanted to do fir our two days in manchester
Location and value
Noise from street outside at night
Great central location close to trams, rail and city sights and bars.
The rooms were basic but the superb location and history and grandeau of the old building more than made up for it.
Veldig bra beliggenhet
Veldig gammelt og slitt
Hospitality
Great location, had a great room and got it for a really decent price for the night!
The room didn’t have a ceiling light which was really random but didn’t bother us.
Good location

No worries
Locatie
Douche in bad
It was very close to the bus station and the city centre, the price was good as well.
The room could use some renovation and refreshing as the paint was coming off the walls and ceiling.
Excellent location at a good price for the time of week . Option of breakfast though there are so many other places to eat ! Clean , comfortable , no thrills , plenty of complimentary coffees etc
No socket near the bed Shower was in bath and a bit short on headroom Could easily hear the room next door
I've stayed here lots of times over 20 plus years, but quite a lot recently, this was the first time I had a "ground" floor room. It was very nice, I thought I'd be awoken by traffic and it was pretty quiet. Very impressed
Nothing really, the bar is really well priced good staff but shuts early. There are lots of bars nearby if you need a pint.
