Nous avons apprécié la proximité avec les transports en commun ainsi que la vue sur la Tamise. Nous avons également le fait de pouvoir se ramener à manger et manger dans l’hôtel.

Nous sommes tombés dans une période avec beaucoup d’élèves en séjour également à l’hôtel. Nous n’avons absolument pas pu profiter du calme surtout au petit déjeuner (ils étaient extrêmement bruyant).

No kettle in the room and no decaffeinated coffee to purchase anywhere in the hotel. Heating not working but with decent weather we thankfully didn't need to heat or cool the room. Not enough staff on site to run the bar for food and drinks and check in etc.

Die Lage des Hostels ist traumhaft schön. Direkt an der Themse mit direkter Fähre in ein belebtes und schickes Viertel Londons. Ich würde es aber eher empfehlen wenn man nicht das erste Mal in London ist. Zu den Standart Sehenswürdigkeiten braucht im Schnitt ca. 1h.

Leider war dort vieles Kaputt. In unserem ersten Zimmer ging das Fenster Nichtstun, die Klospülung hat nicht funktioniert und der Sichtschutz an den Fensterscheiben war teilweise abgerissen. Auch die Klimaanlage hatte ihren eigenen Kopf. Wir haben dann aber ein anderes Zimmer bekommen und da waren die Schäden nicht so einschränkend.

Fui con miedo debido a las malas reseñas que había leído, pero ha superado mis expectativas. El personal fué muy amable en todo momento. Las habitaciones superaron nuestras expectativas. No es un hotel de lujo, pero, calidad-precio está muy bien. El aire acondicionado funcionó muy bien todos los días. Estuvimos 4 noches y si que es verdad que no pasaron a limpiar ningún día, pero les pedimos toallas nuevas y nos dieron todas las que quisimos sin problema ninguno y sin sobrecoste. Las habitaciones son bastante limpias. Tienen moqueta y la moqueta está un poco sucia, pero bueno, es comprensible, tampoco van a limpiar a fondo las moquetas todos los días al coste que tienen las habitaciones. El hotel tiene buena conexión de autobuses, el autobús C10 te deja literal en la puerta del hotel. Por otro lado tiene también el Uber boat en la puerta del hotel que es gratuito para los huéspedes y te deja en canary wharf donde puedes coger la Elisabeth line.

Cómo única pega le pondría la humedad y condensación que se crea en las habitaciones. Pero bueno, también es normal, es londres, el clima es muy húmedo y el hotel está literal en la orilla del río. Nosotros lo solucionamos abriendo la ventana un poco y listo.

The Location was very nice but the aircon is not working, the rooms are very hot without aircon. They have a message board in the reception saying the aircon is not working i don’t why they are not reducing the room price if the aircon is not working.

Large room for a 6 bed dorm. Bathroom pretty nice, they offer soap and shampoo. I didnt have to pay for a towel which was appreciated. There is free access to the ferry which takes you across the river to canary wharf but no one explained that to me and I found out completely by accident overhearing someone's conversation. It would have been nice if the staff pointed that out at check in.

The check in process was very messy. Rather than checking in with a receptionist, they have you use screens which don't work well. I had to wait quite some time whilst the limited staff scrambled to resolve issues and check everyone in manually which could be avoided if they just did manual check in in the first place. It was busy at the time I arrived and every single person was having to ask for help because the system was being problematic. I had a female dorm booking which the system requires manual check in for anyway so I don't see why I had to fuss with the slow screens. When I arrived the manager was arguing with some guests and in general things were very chaotic. There is no water fountain and you can only get water from the bar. When I went to the bar, there was no staff there for quite some time. I have never stayed at a hostel that didn't offer a water refil station so I thought that was poor. Whilst the room was large for a 6 bed dorm, I found it to be so stuffy and hot. I visited in September (granted a warm September but no heat wave by any means) and I kept waking up at night from how hot and thick the air was in the room. The door to my dorm room had a hole where the peep hole should be. Before I entered the room I could see directly inside of it through the hole in the door which I thought was so poor for a women's room. You need to put the sheets and covers on yourself which I have not had before but its fine I guess given the price. I chose this hostel because I was attending a concert at the O2. I found the location to be ok but not as easy access as I thought it would be. The hostel is kind of far from the tube station and my Google maps had me walking through a forest to get to the hostel which I didnt want to do on the way back late in the evening as a woman. I took the C10 bus on the way back and that was a better option so just prepare in advance.

Fajna lokalizacja

Niestety zamówiony pokój miał być z zapewnionym widokiem, a jedynym widokiem było okno po drugiej stronie… Także ogromne rozczarowanie, dołączam zdjęcie „widoku”. W dodatku wentylacja bardzo słabo działała, a w łazience w ogóle nie było oddzielnej, więc ciągle było czuć stęchłe powietrze, a nawet nie dało się otworzyć okna.

We did not like anything, tried to cancel our booking but weren't able to. The only good thing about this hostel is the location, everything else is not worth it.

This hostel is not worth going! During our long stay (10 days) we met many staff, they were all unhelpful, apart from a couple of people who really tried to help, some of them were also very rude. While serving us at the reception, one guy made us feel very uncomfortable - he kept saying 's*it' every two seconds, complaining about the length of our booking and throwing our room card on the floor. We wanted to leave asap, however had no way to cancel our booking and be refunded, as neither the Booking.com customer care team nor the hostel customer care team (which we emailed straightaway) ever tried to help in solving the issue. We stayed at the hostel in very hot weather, and despite airconditioning being one of the features while you book online, airconditioning was not working at all and they didn't bother to fix it. To my request about how soon they were going to repair the AC system, the staff replied as soon as possible. When we left after 10 days, the AC was still not working. Based on our age and health conditions, we flagged that we could not be left in a BOILING HOT room, and the best this guy did was giving us a room where not only the AC did not work, but was blowing HOT AIR, and there was no way to stop it. The room reached 36 degrees Celsius almost every day. A lot of the lifts were out of order. The hostel was dirty and unmaintained, rooms have the previous hotel's furniture, which people are breaking/damaging during their stay and the furniture doesn't get fixed or replaced. We also emailed the hostel customer care team and NEVER HEARD BACK. The Booking.com customer care team didn't help either. So we had to pay for having a very bad, uncomfortable stay. At the time of booking and of our stay (end of July 2026), the Booking.com page of this hostel was misleading, reporting it as a 4 star hotel, instead of a 2 start hostel - misleading. Pictures on Booking.com have been changed after we booked.

Gute Lage in London, mit der kostenlosen Fähre war man schnell in Canary Wharf und von dort mit der DLR gut angebunden, geräumiges Familienzimmer und freundliches Personal an der Rezeption. Eigentlich gutes Potenzial für eine gute Note, aber ...

Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht und Kabel hingen aus der Wand (siehe Bild). Trotz zweimaligem Hinweis ans Personal und der Antwort "wir informieren sofort den Hausservice" wurde dies 3 Tage nichts behoben. Bei Feedback an den Customer Service erfolgte keine Reaktion. Auch der Kleiderständer war nicht an der Wand befestigt sondern stand an Beet gelehnt mit herausguckender Schraube im Zimmer. Generell wurde viel gebaut und verschiedene Dinge waren sichtlich in die Jahre gekommen, Aufzüge teilweise nicht im Betrieb. Aber gerade die Klimaanlage bei 4 Personen in einem Zimmer im Hochsommer war sehr ärgerlich erst Recht wenn man extra mit AC bucht und dann noch nicht mal eine Antwort vom Customer Service erhält.

La ubicación es buena ya que hay una parada de autobús enfrente que pasa cada 5-10 minutos y va a una parada de metro, Canadá Wáter que conecta con todo lo que hay que ver en Londres. El precio es económico para cómo están los hoteles en Londres. Me encantaron las vistas desde el puerto que tienen de Canary wraft donde puedes coger un ferry. Tienes un supermercado económico justo al lado del hotel. Las camas son muy cómodas. Zona tranquila. La habitación grande con dos habitaciones individuales.

Uno de los ascensores no funcionaba. Pero tenia dos más que para ir a la habitación. No poder pagar con efectivo en recepción.

Quirky room decor, pleasant partial views of the Shard and Canary Wharf from the room, complementary ferry crossings without any surprises during our stay, although the ferry is prone to breakdowns according to the ferry staff who told me on the first crossing (about 4.30pm) that we were lucky as it was the first crossing of the day. Reasonably priced, booked a twin room bit was allocated a twin plus two bunks (family room?) so there was a little more space than I was expecting. Character location on Old Nelson Dock.

No local customer service prior to arrival - all calls routed to Head Office / customer contact centre in Germany where my query about the process for redeeming the complementary ferry prior to check-in was initially answered with the completely incorrect "you have to pay for the ferry, it's not free." When I explained the booking.com listing says otherwise, the agent put me on hold to speak to a supervisor before coming back with confirmation that it was free and then explained the process. At check-in, staff member present but clearly uninterested in any kind of personal touch, until the self check-in system went wrong, which seems to happen quite often as the staff member was anticipating the problem and very quick to then help (self-service room keycard coding did not work). Self-service check-in felt like it took longer than doing an online check-in for a flight. Had I known it was effectively self check-in only, I would have done so beforehand to save time after a long journey, however this was not made clear prior to arrival. Check-in staff were unable to answer basic questions about breakfast menu so ended up not getting the breakfast add-on. Bar staff a bit better with the same question later but overall felt the customer service and staff knowledge was a bit below par, even for a budget stay. Bath/shower tap was clearly broken but useable. Given the relative isolation from a south-of-river tube station, the newly gained knowledge about the propensity for the compensating ferry to be out of service makes me unlikely to rebook as it makes travel to/from certain parts of London more unreliable and problematic, especially after dark when you may, like me with child, want to avoid walking through park areas, from the nearest transport links.

We loved the spacious room, the location and the free ferry service to cross the river. Also the reception area was nice.

Tha air-conditioning was not working throughout our stay in a middle of a heatwave with not other alternatives available like providing fan, window does not open completely due to safety features (which I totally understand)

Set in a great scenic location in front of Canary Wharf skyscrapers! A very convenient free boat runs the crossing between the hotel and the Canary Wharf pier in a matter of 5 minuts. Then you can catch the new Elizabeth Line or the DLR going straight to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge or the Jubilee Line always from CW. Otherwise you catch the C10 red bus just in front of the hotel and with an 8 minute ride you arrive to Canada Water station where you can get the Jubillee Line. Staff at the hotel all very kind and professional. Very good breakfast!

Die Lage war gut. Die Überfahrt mit der Fähre war für Hotelgäste gratis. Man konnte drinnen und draußen an der Themse frühstücken bzw. einfach die Zeit mit/ohne Getränke genießen. Es wurde uns ein großes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluss ohne Zusatzkosten zur Verfügung gestellt. Am Sonntag war das Frühstück bis 11 Uhr. Gute Anbindung.an den öffentlichen Verkehr.

Leider konnte man den Balkon, wahrscheinlich aus Sicherheitsgründen, nicht nutzen. Das Fenster war nur auf kipp zu öffnen. Im Badezimmer ließ sich das Fenster überhaupt nicht öffnen, was teilweise zu leicht muffeligen Gerüchen führte. Das Waschbecken war zu klein. Man konnte das Frühstück für 13 GBP kurzfristig buchen. Ab 9.30 in der Woche war die Auswahl dürftig. Das Hotel wird von vielen Schulklassen besucht.

Betten waren bequem, sowie die sehr großen Bettdecken waren toll.

Zimmer war nicht ordentlich geputzt, auf Nachfrage beim Personal sollten am nächsten Tag die Reinigung stattfinden aber es wurde die ganze Woche nicht gemacht. Im Eingangsbereich vom Zimmer waren deutlich dunkel verfärbte wasserflecken an den Deckenpaneelen, einige wölben sich schkn nach unten sodass man dachte die kommen gleich herunter. Desweiteren fande ich noch alte Unterwäsche von dem Hotelgast der vor uns drinne war.Zimmerfenster ließ sich aufgrund der Kindersicherung nur ein minimalen spalt öffnen. Die Dusche zeigte starken schimmelbefall, ebenso war der Duschkopf stark verkalkt. Außerdem fehlte ein Stück von der Trennwand, das Bad stand jedes Mal unter Wasser wenn man geduscht hat. Aus dem Badezimmer kam ein unerträglicher Geruch raus. Leider ebenso waren wir vom Frühstücksangebot enttäuscht. Über die gesamten fünf Tage gab es jeden Tag praktisch die gleiche Auswahl: lediglich eine Sorte Käse und eine Sorte Wurst. Insgesamt war die Auswahl sehr begrenzt und wenig abwechslungsreich. Auch bei den anderen Angeboten hätten wir uns deutlich mehr Vielfalt gewünscht. Es gab keine pflanzlichen Milchalternativen, kaum unterschiedliche Obstsorten und auch bei den Aufstrichen gab es wenig bis keine Auswahl. Angebot wiederholte sich täglich.

It was surprisingly good for the price I payed, the bed was comfy the shower was nice, there was a great view from the window, and the area around it was nice as well, everything looked so pretty and fancy outside and the people inside were very helpful

The only bad thing about the hotel was the lack of microwave/mini fridge, and a little hard to find the rooms without guidance but overall very nice

Absolutely blown away with the hostel. Words cannot describe how expectations from budget spent, compared to reality of value for money - next to none would be an understatement to say the least. The Uber ferry from Canary Wharf to Rotherhithe is free when you download the app or present room card, the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is more like a home bathroom with a decent size bath tub in the house rooms of six. The view from the river at night was nice to have, and the outdoor seating area right next to the river was a very chilled environment, day and night. In terms of location, if you like to be just away from the busy centre, enjoying some down time and the busy streets down down town when not at your hotel/hostel, then a&o would be an ideal location for you. Very helpful and nice staff that work at front of house, which helped make the experience as chilled and welcomed throughout. Great location, environment and value for money. I would highly recommend, even if just for one night. The ferry experience alone was a nice perk to have within itself, given how expensive river cruses are now days. 😊

No hot water, had to take a tepid shower. No drinks facilities in the room. Vending machines and coffee machine didn't work. We ordered pizza from the bar (when the bar tender eventually appeared!) to find they were pizzas cooked from frozen and very expensive. Checking in was also very time consuming, self checking in machines were very temperamental.

Unfortunately, the overall service and responsiveness were very disappointing. We reported several issues with our room multiple times, but they were not properly addressed. For example, the toilet flush was not working properly, and the air conditioning was also faulty. I personally went to reception around five times to report these problems. One staff member, Joy, was very helpful and kind and actually took the time to register our concerns, which we really appreciated. However, despite the issues being reported, no one came to the room to fix them during our stay. Housekeeping was also quite inconvenient. Room cleaning had to be booked in advance, and if you did not request it early enough, the room would not be cleaned that day. This also meant that basic things such as fresh towels and general room servicing could be missed. Overall, the main issue was not simply that things went wrong, but that there was very little follow-up or effort to resolve the problems after we reported them. This made our stay much less comfortable than expected.

Bitte passt umbedingt dort auf eure Wertsachen auf. Man hat uns teure Kopfhörer aus dem Hotelzimmer gestohlen ohne das dort eingebrochen worden ist !!! Fernseher hatte nicht funktioniert bis wir es selbst am Gerät angeschaltet bekommen haben Föhn mussten wir zwei mal umtauschen sowie dir Fernbedienung die auch nach dem Tausch nicht funktionierte Das Fenster am Bett war aus dem Rahmen gefallen und lag nur so am Fensterbrett.

La puerta del baño hacia un ruido terrible. Los cargadores USB y luces de la litera no funcionan. El Wi-Fi iba muy mal. La TV es súper grande pero solo tiene 3 o 4 canales y no es Smart TV.

Room excellent. Clean and good size delighted when I saw hand rail as I’ve just had knee surgery. Wish hotels would supply bath mats in case of slipping .

- Airco werkte niet in onze kamer met een temperatuur van +/- 35 graden als gevolg. - Twee keer schoonmaken kamer besproken, is niet uitgevoerd. - Vooraf ingecheckt en betaald was niet bekend in systeem. - Onze kamer stond niet op ontbijtlijst terwijl dit inbegrepen was bij onze boeking.

Location was great although didnt get chance to explore Canary Wharf. Stayed to go to All Points East at Victoria Park which we were able to walk back from very easily (40 mins)

A pesar de haber dado aviso de que llegabamos tarde, el hotel canceló la reserva sin aviso. Tuvimos que esperar y ocupar habitaciones no confortables la primera noche. Eso provocó retrasos en la organización de actividades por tener que realizar cambio de habitación nuevamente. La habitación no tenía todas las camas hechas. El desayuno no es de buena calidad y muy poco variado. La relación calidad-precio no es buena.

I have stayed here twice when it was the Hilton. While the room I stayed in was pretty much the same and very comfortable.with a great view of the river - you could tell the pride, level of care and customer service had definitely gone down. If anything, the staff seemed nonchalant and unbothered which didnt make for as much of a welcoming or comfortable experience. Small gestures like smiling at guests go a long way. I got the vibe staff weren't happy, which is never a good sign.

The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space, the location is really accessible for london centre. That's as far as it goes.

The staff were all very grumpy and not ready to help, they facilities didn't function as expected, our key cards for the room stopped working 3 times, the lights in our room didn't work at all during the evenings. The lift near our room was out of order and the next closest lift stopped working whilst we were in it on the ground floor. The fire alarm went off at 4 am, woke everyone up, when we went to the assembly point, there was no explanation given or reasons given for the incident and no one was reassuring us that there was not fire, eventually we were told to go back to our rooms, again no one said what the issue was. There is an enormous leak in the stairwell that is growing mold and hasn't been looked at in what seems to be years. A friend of mine staying in another room said their shower drain was almost completely clogged and they could have the shower on for more than 2 minutes. The reading light next to our bed was making a sparking sound when turned on so we couldn't even use that when the main lights didn't work.

I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience at this hotel. To be honest, considering the price, I really didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the overall quality to the experience during my stay. It was excellent value for money, and I genuinely enjoyed my time here. I’ll definitely be coming back and would happily recommend this hostel to others. A great find!

Fantastic location, clean, modern and comfortable.

Ridiculous check in process, with one surly woman on the desk. Yet the self service check in machines work AND know if your room is ready or not. If it is, they print your key card and you’re done! No need to queue at all.
