fascinating location, just outside ancient walls of Roman city Londinium

"latte" option of free coffee machine on 4th floor ran out of milk for a few hours, but not a complaint because coffee was free and beans were unlimited. on further reflection, it was probably a good thing that milk ran out, because I'm trying to go vegan.

Located not even 5 min from the nearest underground station. Good price for good location. 15 min walk to Tower Bridge

The maintenance is horrible Airconditioning and lights didn't work... in a room without a window that is just not done. We changed rooms 3 times every time something else didn't work... we stayed for 5 night ... eventually we give up... at the end we asked for a late check out and they approved ... we have lost many hours and energy due to poor maintenance and management!

das Hotel liegt nahe der Tube-Station Aldgate East (knapp 5 Minuten Fußweg). Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und die Einrichtung hatte viel Charme. Beispielsweise die Lampe, die am Fußende des Bettes befestigt war oder die Regale, die wirken, also ob sie selbst gebastelt wurden, haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Dusche war schön geräumig, was in London eher unüblich ist.

Der Kaffee hat uns leider gar nicht geschmeckt bzw. war er sehr geschmacksneutral. Das ist aber auch der einzige Kritikpunkt, des es gibt.

Großartige Lage. Eine unkonventionelle Einrichtung. Zimmer sehr sauber. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Polstermöbel im Speisebereich teilweise arg verschmutzt. Sollten dringend gereinigt oder ausgetauscht werden.

De locatie was goed, aan de rand van de stad, makkelijk bereikbaar met verschillende metrolijnen. Veel lekkere restaurants in de buurt. Ruime kamer en vooral ruime badkamer. Hippe inrichting. Gratis drankje als je ervoor kiest om je kamer niet tussentijds te laten schoonmaken.

Het ontbijt was matig, weinig keuze als je niet van een Engels ontbijt houdt. Het bed was slecht, het matras was zacht en had een enorme deuk. Het rook erg muf, op de vloerbedekking in de gang veel grote vlekken, lijkt alsof er iets overstroomd is in de kamers. Badkamer heeft alleen een regendouche.

Die Lage war Super, wir konnten alles mit der Bahn problemlos erreichen.

Pulizia e efficienza. Non mancava nulla e la camera tripla era la piu grande che abbia mai visto per gli standard di Londra. Ottima anche la posizione, a una fermata da Liverpool Street.

It was different in the good way - not your usual hotel.

We had booked 3 rooms - one for 3 people and a dog and the rest double rooms. The two double rooms were awesome but ours was very warm - the air con did not work and sounded like a washing machine - it made it quite hard for ourselves but I felt the most sorry for the dog.

We had a rather long stay and my best friend and I got booked into the smallest room. We tried to make it work but it didn't so we asked for a bigger room and we got it!! That was very nice and we're still very grateful.

Juste la douche qui est pas pratique car il y a pas de pomme de douche donc quand on veut pas se mouiller les cheveux c'est embêtant.

El hotel es muy acogedor al lado del metro donde accedes a todas la zonas de Londres que quieras visitar, los empleados son muy atentos y amables está todo muy limpio si vuelvo sin duda me alojaré aquí y lo recomiendo al 💯 x 💯, muchas gracias 🫂

Le métro juste à côté, le personnel et les femmes de ménages très agréables. Le café et chocolat à volonté à l'étage.

Le petit déjeuner prix trop elevé, et des insectes rampants dans la chambre.

Vriendelijk personeel; leuke vibe in hotel; goed bed; leuke kamer… lekker ontbijt… bij uitstap heel vroeg werd voor ons ontbijt speciaal om 6u al uitgezet… wannee je een dagje kamer niet laat opmaken krijg je een drankvouche die je dan kan verbruiken aan de bar… absoluut een positieve ervaring.. metro op 2 minuten stappen… ideaal gelegen… super verblijf gehad.

The room was a bit out of date - couch with missing buttons, not a lot of storage for clothes for 7 days, no fans, loud outside our window at 1am and 6am- trucks loading and unloading. Floor hadn’t been cleaned (hairballs in the corners).

Der Badezimmer Container mit der tollen Dusche könnte ein paar Haken und Ablagenflächen mehr haben Platz genug dafür ist vorhanden

Staff un po' rude, non particolarmente simpatico-accogliente Al check in quasi mettevano in dubbio la mia prenotazione, ho atteso molto affinchè la rintracciassero e hanno mostrato molta rigidità sull'orario del check in. Ad ogni modo ci hanno dato possibilità di lasciare bagagli nel deposito e usare la resting room anche prima e dopo check in

Die Lage war super und ein unschlagbares preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Was auch noch super war, ist dass wir unser Gepäck vor dem CheckIn zwischenlagern konnten, um schon mal die City ein bisschen zu erkunden.

Das Zimmer hat kein Fenster, das stand allerdings auch in der Beschreibung. Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert und das Bad war okay. Allerdings war der Boden aus Kunststoff auf einem Podest gebaut und dadurch an manchen Stellen sehr instabil und es ist keine richtige Tür, sondern nur ne Schiebetür vorhanden, wodurch man vielleicht auch etwas weniger Privatsphäre hat.

We had a wonderful time at The Corner hotel! The staff is so very friendly and helpful especially Sudha and so many more (I forgot the names) The location is perfect!! A few steps around the corner is an underground tube station (Aldgate east) so you can travel in no time to the heart of the city. And many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Breakfast is also very good organised and healthy. We had diner 3 times and wow! The menu's they offer are also very good and tasty. Room was nicely decorated and a large comfy bed. Bathroom with a rainshower! We will definitely come back!

The rooms are bit small and the spacing between the sink, toilet and shower screen is very tight and so can be a bit awkward when using the toilet.

idk even know where to start, the rooms (we switched from the first one, from basement to 4th floor) stank of chlorine, maybe thats what they cleaned the rooms with? gave us a headache. the bathroom was very dingy, even the showerwater felt weird. the first room we were in had a few dead fruitflies lying around and a LOT flying in the room, 30-40 for sure. the bed was also VERY uncomfortable, i was rolling from the side into the middle half the night and everytime i moved i felt like it was gonna break. the air conditioning was a joke, did not work properly and was way too loud. dirty towels

Die Lage des Hotels ist super wegen der nahe liegenden Stellen: Themse, Tower Bridge, Tower Pier, U-Bahn-Station, Brick Lane mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten u.a. Kaffeemaschine mit toller Auswahl an Getränken (ich hatte meine Thermoskanne dabei und konnte so einiges an Geld sparen) gibts im Gang. Frühstücksbuffet ist für den Preis vor Ort sehr angemessen. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Möglichkeit zum Erhalt mehrerer Getränkegutscheine (pro Tag 1x), wenn man den Reinigungsservice nicht nutzt.

Das Badkonzept ist nicht gut durchdacht. Wasser kommt weit über den geschützten Bereich hinaus und es steht dann, also muss man trocknen. Mir fehlte noch der Wasserschlauch. Da die Nasszelle in den Schlafraum integriert ist es hellhörig im WC.

Couple of things: 1. There was a broken glass piece on the floor that our kid found and cut his finger. It wasn’t ours. After reporting to the front desk, they never did anything. No apologies from management or made good for this situation. They asked to come back next morning to talk about this with the manager. Why do I have to report something again that I already flagged to the management. Very insensitive management. 2. The boho theme is nice and all that, but the picture of the lady at the headboard in both the rooms we were in was borderline creepy.

The staff were really nice. The room was really comfortable and funky décor. Great breakfast and great location for where we needed to be.

Due to the heatwave, we were all in the basement, that was not aired and had a very musty smell.

The quirkiness’s of the bedrooms was amazing loved the coffee machines.

The staff is very helpful and kind, they went out of their way to help me. This was my 5th time back and I will continue to come back! The tube is justa 4 min walk way. Theres a store across the street for quick needs.

Très bonne literie et petit déjeuner. Emplacement pratique si on veut être dans l'est avec station de metro et bus pour aller directement dans le centre.

Les livraisons dans le parking qui borde les chambres, jusqu'à près de minuit et à 7h du matin ! L'aspirateur passé dans le couloir à 7h du matin. Le manque de rangement : pas de table, un petit portant, on est obligé de mettre sacs par terre et de laisser la moitié de ses affaires dans la valise.

Das Zimmer hat bei der Sauberkeit an Details Luft nach oben. Grund Sauberkeit war da, aber Details waren leicht zu erkennen, wo nicht richtig sauber gewesen sind.

The room was very clean, functional, and in itself a good size. It was perfect for the overall room itself and the functionality of the hotel. The location was really good, super convenient if you're doing work in the city.

Not enough power plugs. The air conditioning was broken. My room was 27°C overnight. those were the major flaws. Otherwise, everything was pretty good

Vriendelijke personeel, de kamer, ontbijt ondanks drukte goed georganiseerd en ligging van hotel heel goed vanaf de metro. Veel feedback gelezen over onvriendelijk personeel maar onze ervaring is juist veelvriendelijkheid personeel: we vroegen na aankomst een andere kamer omdat er een zoem geluid te horen was in de kamer die we hadden gekregen. Hotelpersoneel deed hun best om kamer wissel mogelijk te maken. Ook bij ontbijt heel goede service. En sfeer in bar/restaurant heel goed. Als we weer naar Londen gaan komen we zeker terug.

Een beetje wonderlijke badkamer van plastic inbouwmateriaal. Maar ach: hoelang ben je er. En bedankt sliep goed, daar gaat het om.

Fire alarm went off at 12am and no hot water in the morning so was unable to have a shower. Coffee machine rarely worked and had to travel up and down floors looking for one that worked. Email confirmation said we had breakfast however when we got to the hotel they said we didn’t!

Wir hatten einen rundum tollen Aufenthalt! Das Hotel hat uns mit seiner schönen, modernen Einrichtung, der tollen Lage und dem leckeren Essen im Restaurant begeistert. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit für Fragen oder Empfehlungen offen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Amplasarea foarte bună a hotelului lângă metrou si stații de autobuz. Camera a fost ok, cât timp ești genul de persoana care a venit în Londra să viziteze orașul, fără multe pretenții la cazare.

Era imposibil să faci duș fără să te uzi la cap din cauza dușului care era fix, tip ploaie din tavan (fără să existe acel furtun de duș mobil). Nici măcar nu ofereau acea cască de duș. Curățenia lasă de dorit. Camera arata mai bine în poze decât în realitate, este mică și înghesuită. Baia puțin cam ciudată. O singură priză tip F (Schuko)

Velmi příjemný hotel v ideální lokalitě. Interiér je dost moderní a zajímavý. Pokoj byl menší, ale dostačující, hezký výhled. Pohodlné postele. Milý bonus byl i voucher na nápoj v hotelovém baru, pokud nevyužijeme úklid pokoje. Personál příjemný.

AC wasn’t actually working — just blowing warm air around. When we asked staff to fix it, they didn’t seem to have fixed anything. Lack of minibar/fridge in the room and a hard to close door to the bathroom was annoying.

Love that it is run on solar power and water conscious. Eco friendly choices are important to me. The rooms were a suitable size, bar and breakfast area was immaculate with great choices.

Bed was less comfortable than I usually enjoy. Mattress felt thin and firm, firm is perfect but thin was a problem.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und war immer sehr bemüht! Es ist auch sehr angenehm, dass die Rezeption 24/7 besetzt ist und man auch immer an die Bar kann. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch recht gut, da man innerhalb weniger Gehminuten eine Busstation und auch Underground Eingänge hat. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr sauber und man fühlt sich grundsätzlich wirklich sehr wohl im Hotel!

Das Frühstück bietet nicht allzu viele Alternativen an, wenn man kein typisches englisches Breakfast mag. Dann gibt es eigentlich nur mehr Müsli als Auswahl, was aber sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Ich finde auch, dass die Preise (von zum Beispiel für eine Pizza Margherita 20 pounds) echt sehr überteuert ist.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel. Staff very accommodating. We had to leave very early but staff still allowed us access to breakfast cold items and pastries which was very kind. A large range of breakfast options are fantastic and a great base for brick lane and Spitalfields and surrounding markets. Aldgate East station close by.

Some surrounding areas can make you feel uneasy if walking late at night. But this is not the hotel fault but something to be aware of. This is true of many areas around the city.
