It's good overall. The only issue is it's too far from shopping, dinning and the city center.
Nice room. Nice evening meal. good breakfast though Madameselle didnt like us to eat there as communicati0on with Leger poor. supposed to have a box on the bus !!
When I book a hotel at an airport, I presume there will be a shuttle to take me to the airport, and this was the case since it is announced by the hotel. But they don't tell you that the first shuttle departs after 5:15 a.m. and if you have luggage and a flight that departs at 7a.m. at huge CDG, you have to leave the hotel before 5a.m.! so you have to pay a taxi which will cost you 25 euros! the second problem, a much smaller one, was the small size of the bathing towels... despite all this, staff is nice and the room is confortable.
Stayed at this hotel for one night on return back to UK after a longer holiday. After working out how to get to the hotel we found it with several other hotels a short walk from one of the stops on the free shuttle between terminals. From the outside this is much older property than other properties near by such as the Moxy, Holiday inn and Courtyard.. On arrival met by a friendly member of staff at reception who shared a few points on hotel and provided card keys. I had booked a suite and our room was on Floor 7. Although not very expensive for a 4 star hotel I was surprised on entering the room on how underwhelming it was - much in need of refurbishment and basic maintenance. The room as shown in images had numerous paint chips, missing skirting boards and the bathroom reminded me of an old council run swimming pool changing room vs a quality bathroom. Decent TVs and bed was comfortable so did get a good sleep. Room was a good size however living space needs more thought to help make it more cosy. Room did not have USB option for charging so make sure you have a proper plug charger After reviewing food options and actual look of restaurant we went to look at other hotel options and settled on the food at the Moxy - a little bit cheaper and more buzzing atmosphere. The following morning we went in search of the pool - took a bit of finding however looked very pleasant and would have used the facility if I had more time. In summary ok hotel but with newer properties within minutes of this hotel I think I would select an alternative next time.
They staff treated me like family.
Stayed here while visiting Maison et Object exhibition. Super location to the exhibition halls. Great stay, very friendly, room extremely clean, bed very comfortable, delightful breakfast and good food, which was well presented for the evening meal buffet. Modern and contemporary décor, easy and comfortable hotel bar, where it was easy to talk and socialise. No Complaints!
Stayed two nights and cannot fault the hotel staff very friendly and helpful, had a great nights sleep and no issue with the room. Had the buffet evening meal and the food was excellent !! This hotel has had some negative reviews however I enjoyed our stay !!
I have no idea how this place was given more than one star. This hotel was disgusting and should be condemned. I believe we got sick from the amount of mold in this building. The hair dryer was legit from 1960 with a hose attached to a wall. The staff was not helpful, the shuttle nonexistent, and an hour to the city. Honestly we should have left.
Stayed here for 2 nights with work whilst at an exhibition. The hotel is well located for the exhibition hall and the staff are quite helpful but those are the only positives. The room is tired (I was in 38) and the strange separate toilet with the sink and shower next door was weird. The grouting round the tiles in the bathroom was pink with dirt and needed a good bleach. The edges of the floor around the bath were also in need of a deep clean with a powerful cleaning product as it looked gross. The worst part of the trip was that my room had a connecting door to the room next door. I could hear every word, every pee and toilet flush, every cough, snoring and phones/alarms going off. There was no point complaining and asking to move as the hotel was apparantly full due to the SIAL exhibition. This lack of soundproofing is totally unacceptable in a hotel. I’m actually writing this review wide awake having heard a loud phone conversation through the paper thin door/wall and am now listening to the man next door coughing his guts up. It’s 1.20am! I would urge the hotel not to use room 38 unless for a family/people that know each other well enough to cope with the level of noise next door from room 36, and to get the bathroom bleached and deep cleaned as a priority. The cleaning supervisor should notice it’s not up to scratch (unless it’s so old the grout needs replacing) I certainly wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
Outstanding staff, we arrived in a big vehicle HX60 Woth a rare car on the back and originally they wasn’t sure about letting us park in the car park but after speaking with the manger they got us straight in !! incredible food, suprised me how good the food was for a hotel!! I got a burger and it tasted amazing proberly best burger I’ve ever had. Great breakfast and comfy beds 5*
The hotel was lovely itself, close to the airport. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how far we were from all the attractions.
Excellent
Okay for a one night stay before flying home, but just barely. The room desperately needed a deep clean. The coffee maker’s water tank was disgusting. The elevators would bounce a little and jerk before opening. Kind and helpful staff.
Shampoo / Conditioner/ body wash was in the same bottle…it would better to have a separate bottle for each
Upon getting to our room, I realized right away it wasn’t what I’d booked and that the AC was out of order. Immediately went to speak to the front desk where agents weren’t very friendly. No one came to look at the AC, though a fan was offered and I was rebuffed when I asked for a double bed rather than 2 twins crammed together since that was what I’d paid for and what was stated on my reservation. Later, when going to the restaurant for dinner, the service was unfriendly. They were having an IT issue in the kitchen. Understandably, they were functioning as best they could but our order took a very long time and our appetizer never arrived. It was removed from the bill thankfully
I was completely underwhelmed. For a hotel with such high ratings, I was surprised how old and bare the room was. There was a dirty smudge on the mostly bare walls. There were no USB outlets for charging devices. Bathroom tile and carpet were very dated. There was no coffee maker in the room and very little furniture. There were a couple bags of herbal tea and kettle. A small window overlooking the roof of the building gave the non-existant atmosphere nothing to add to. There was nothing in the way of amenties. Soap dispenser in the shower and by the sink but no shampoo or any other toiletry items. Surprisingly, for an airport hotel, there was no complimentary airport shuttle. For 5 euro, I paid for a shuttle ride to the airport, but would only make one terminal stop. I took another 20 minutes for me to get to my terminal.
Great property for a short stay! Clean, comfortable and will stay again...
Comfortable, large affordable room. Great communal areas!
Clean hotel. But there was a £5 per person charge for the shuttle.
Cannot check in they say cannot find booking
Service at the bar was terrible and food was not very good
The only issue I had was the Ac unit was not working in my room and that is a major issue
Hotel itself was nice. Reception personnel was rude and they misguided us on the shuttle to the airport. I clearly asked if it went direct to airport or made stops and they said direct. But it stopped several times drop off was not at airport but at train station which was quite a walk to airport and this made us lose 30 minutes of valuable time.
I expected free transfers to and from the airport. Then I received an email telling me it would cost 5 euros but with a warning that I may not be able to trust providing my credit card number. So I ended up spending $17 for an Uber to get to the hotel. Fortunately the receptionist st the hotel sold me a ticket for my morning transfer which was 7.88 Euros. Other guests said they experienced the same. The hotel was a bit worn, the hall carpets were not clean and the room did not have a refrigerator which I needed for my medication. After this I will deal directly with hotels so I know what is really offered. The receptionists st night and in the morning were very helpful and there were no bedbugs.
Bed was gross had to change rooms
Excellent
Last minute stay in Paris. Close to the airport, quiet, good food. Only issue was no iron in the room. I imagine I could’ve easily gotten one from reception.
Hotel was fine for one night. No coffee available in the room. Bathroom was a little strange and worn. Kind of spends for what you get.
Great stay
The hotel (room and lobby area) were nice enough but the service had some room for improvement. We stayed two nights and I was in the shower the first morning when housekeeping wanted to come into clean, not that big of a deal but they could have come back when we left. The second problem was with the airport shuttle. Yes it runs every half hour but no one bothered to tell us that the unmarked van/bus we waited 25 minutes for was the actual shuttle. There were several other vans that picked people up so I finally asked a woman at the front desk when the shuttle would be here and she pointed to the empty bus saying that was the one as if we were supposed to have known that. For 10 euros I don’t think the driver or someone else telling people waiting outside that this was the airport shuttle would be too much to ask.
Convenient
Arriving after midnight, we selected this one due to proximity to CDG and a free shuttle. After committing with a non refundable payment we learned the shuttle didn’t run that late. That should have been indicated! We were left to wait in the taxi line for at least 90 minutes to travel a few kilometers and arrived about 2am. We also learned that our shuttle in the morning back to the airport carried a fee. Again clearer communication would have made it feel less like a bait and switch. Our primary interaction with the front desk was the request to prepay the city tax. Perfect!
Helpful English-speaking staff assisted me with check-in and a cab fare situation. Everything was perfect for my needs except for just one thing - I did not see printed anywhere that the last shuttle to the airport is 10:30am.
Attractive room.
One night. Bed was comfortable which was a positive. Otherwise the hotel could really improve on its overall cleanliness
I was isolating woth Covid, so I didn't really get to experience the venue. Room service was good, though.
The suite was perfect. What a pleasure to have a king size bed after sleeping on twins during our vacation.
The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. When told that neither our refrigerator nor our tv worked, they just shrugged and said there was no staff to fix it. We also could not get the heat off in our room and they just said to open the window. Consequently, it was like sleeping in an oven all night even though the window is open. With the window open, it was also very noisy. It was quite a disappointing stay, even though it was only for one night.
they don't speak English...terrible no help ...
The facility had some maintenance issues involving securing doors and the functioning of the exit gate and the pole blocking access to the parking neither of which were working during our stay
The hotel looks beautiful but the rooms are badly in need of refurbishing - old carpet, old and torn drapes -it is a pity as the staff is really great.
Very clean, nice staff and very convenient location
The general condition of the hotel appears to indicate that it has a high occupancy rate, yet the maintenance does not keep up with the wear and tear on the rooms and the common areas. On the 4th floor paint flakes are seen on the carpet as a result of an ongoing water infiltration issue above. The friction fit connector on the hose running to the shower head in 436 would detach from the head by itself while showering. Despite being told that it would be fixed each day they eventually moved me to 435... A room where half the shower door was missing. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are tidy, despite the poor maintenance. The breakfast is excellent, and the bar is comfortable. The restaurant menu is uninspired and designed to offer a short selection of fare to a broad pallet. The food served is passable, with a couple exceptions. On the assiette de charcuterie the bottom side of the jambon de Bayonne had rancid fat which was starting to mold. And, the tartare should be avoided (trust me, the following 24 hours may not be pleasant). Front desk staff are polite and helpful. Despite trying to charge a higher rate than agreed with hotels.com, but when they were confronted with the disparity they adjusted it. Same for the included breakfast which they tried to charge for.
Great stay
Very friendly staff. Should have a flyer in the room with general info.
The place is nice clean and child friendly, the breakfast choice is amazing and appetizing.
Close to airport with easy access to shuttle. Hotel room spacious and was fine for 1 night stay.Would have been great if they had toiletries such as toothbrush/paste.
Good: Quiet location near the airport. Needs improvement: dinner menu selection is extremely limited, especially for anyone with food allergies. We had to go across the street to find anything that had no dairy.
we loved everything about this place, it was fantastic and awesome. had a spacious room and even an additional room again all well equipped..the meal was great, stayed two nights and i loved it..the receptionists were always ready to help..
The roo s are fairly basic but the beds are comfortable with decent duvets etc. Hotel is very convenient to the airport with a free shuttle service that does a loop arlund several in the area. (Pink line). Easy walk to a couple of restaurants acroos the park in the village if you don't want to eat at the hotel.
We thought we had booked in the other Mercure so we’re disappointed to learn we had to take a shuttle from the airport. That being said, this property is on the low end of the Mercure scale, more basic. Once here, everything works, pleasant staff.
We had a nice meal in the bar that was served by Bashir who did a great job.
I stayed two days. The hotel is located near the village of Roissy, so there are parks and cafes and even a shopping mall within walking distance. The free shuttle takes a little longer and when the bus is full it can be a challenge with luggage. It’s a pleasant enough setting. I found the reception staff helpful but a bit perfunctory, the room cleaners were responsive to my request to make the bed to my liking, which I really appreciated. The restaurant food was passable, better than the one meal I had in the village and the staff were helpful. Overall not too bad for an airport hotel.
ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
I found bed bugs in the room. Asked to change room and the new room also had bed bugs. Couldn’t not stay the night in the hotel. Too dirty and infested of bed bugs
Dirty and smelly Laundry was out around hallways! The front desk was always empty and the phone would always run of the hook! The staff always claimed to be busy and or "too busy"!
Delux room had badly damage bathroom door which when open collides with unit front door Soap profucts could not be opened , ac no thermo stat Toilet lid loose Noisey neighbours Shuttle to airport turned up full , took an uber and 3 kms cost 20 euros rip off But this is paris
Close to the Airport ,good shuttle service, staff friendly. Food is good
Folks, A couple of hours after our 1:00PM arrival, we discovered that the room refrigerator was NOT working, and we needed to keep some left-overs from spoiling. Instead of a replacement (spare?) refrigerator, the Desk Clerk could only offer us a different room, which would have meant packing up our clothes and relocating...something we did NOT wish to do. Since this is probably not an uncommon problem with hotels such as yours, we respectfully recommend that you have a couple of "extra" refrigerators on-hand for situations such as ours. Thanks... ...Lee & Marci Loomis (585) 738-3079 (mobile & text)
I stayed at this Mercure Paris Roissy CDG twice last year and raved about it, so I booked it again for May 15, 2019. I was sorry I did. It did not seem like the same place! Check In: The heavy-set fellow at the desk was neither friendly nor helpful, with quick, snarly, and barely understandable phrases. I remember him from last year as being very friendly and happy, and we even chatted a bit as I checked out. This time, he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by letting me stay at his hotel. The room: The room was not terrible, but it was not very nice. There were three (3) army type cots instead of the double bed I ordered and paid for. Uncomfortable, lumpy and awful feeling. I would have complained but I was too tired and wanted to sleep. The carpet was filthy, stains and worn. The bathroom was old, fixtures look from the Cold War Era. Bathtub was in bad shape, lots of scrapes and gashes, and had stains that will probably never come out. The woodwork is all scrapped up and the smell of the room was musty and stale, not to mention the temperature was way too hot and couldn’t be controlled. Last year I paid $75 for a room. This year it was $133. WAY too expensive for the quality. Based on cost/quality, I have to give it a 2-Star this time and decided that I won’t be staying at this Mercure anymore. Next time I’ll check out the Campanille just down the street; looks far nicer.
Arrived late with my two kids and got upgraded to the largest room. Staff were so friendly. Excellent hotel
friendly staff, I was only there for a quick overnight, but positive impression
Would love to see this hotel updated. Hair dryers are very outdated. Room was clean as was hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Shuttle to / from airport was very convenient and ran often.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast!
Good location for airport and northern France. Not a place for the "Buzz" of city life. Staff all good and friendly
Very comfortable beds and pillows, the rooms are a decent size. Pleasant hotel to stay at.
This is a 2* not a 4*.
Not great but adequate.
Waited almost an hour at airport for hotel shuttle outside in the cold late at night, at it never showed. Staff readily admitted shuttle is unreliable (others have commented on it as well). Get a service that works. Basically, if you have a short layover and need sleep (like me) don't book any off airport hotel unless you plan to pay for a taxi.
Great bed, no noice from the airport, convenient shuttle and close to local restaurants for final dinner in France.
The hotel should offer free breakfast. The search engine I used indicated they this hotel offered free internet, free breakfast and free shuttle to airport. However, after arriving, I was informed the breakfast was not included. It would be great if this facility could offer free breakfast like the other hotels in the area do ( example Ibis).
Good suite for family
Perfect location for that early or late flight wait. Good rooms, good bar and restaurant - and most importantly - quiet.
Three of us in our group of 4 are beekeepers, imagine our surprise when we discovered this hotel was into bees and offering honey with breakfast! My room was on the dated and worn side but clean. However; after a 2 week stay in France, Mercure had the most comfortable beds we slept in. The staf was very helpful and professional. The breakfast had an excellent choice of everything from cheese, meats, make your own egg dish, yoghurts, breads it was all there and some. Tip to travelers: if you have time and for a culture change, take the bus (about 500 feet away) to the Aeroville Mall is a city unto itself with good food choices. Going back to CDG, for terminal 1 take the pink line all the way to Roissypole get on the airport train to terminal 1, it also goes to terminal 2. CDG airport is a monster, yikes.
Broken computer for getting my boarding pass, broken tub drain, broken toilet flush. CLoths hanging over wall and windows--not real drapes. Overall, just cheaplooking and feeling. But the MAIN problem is that there are TWO Mercure hotels at or near CDG, serviced by two different shuttles, and the signage in CDG does not distinguish them. And the hotel is singularly unresponsive to the idea of renaming one of them, or calling them Mercure1 and Mercure 2
Room was hot and stuffy. A/C had no effect. We opened the window but had to close it as the guests in the room below were holding a cigarette outside their window which came directly into ours. The bathroom faucet had a leak that sprayed on anyone using it and the soap dispenser in the shower wouldn't stay on the wall. Other than that the room was clean and quiet located in a good area. Would find another hotel next time.
Quiet and clean hotel. Room had water boiler and refrigerator. Easy and affordable parking.
Pretty standard hotel with a shuttle service that takes you to CDG. Room was clean, there was ample room for storage / organizing. No minibar but there was one free bottle of water ;) Wifi didn't work for me at all, which was highly frustrating, and the to-room breakfast service was sub-par, as I didn't receive what I asked for but was too much in a hurry to complain.
convenient with shuttle bus. Staff friendly. Good food.
The staff is super nice!! Hotel area is very quiet and nice. The shuttle is taking about 15 min from Terminal to hotels. If you are flying from Terminal 1, you will need to take the shuttle and then take another train in CDG to T1. Other than that, things are ok.
nice and clean. Staff helpful, friendly. Recommend to anyone need a room ar CDG
So so
Good place to stay before morning flight. Easy free shuttle.
Do no they get this Mercure mixed up with the one that has the convention attached which is about two kilometres away otherwise it will cost you 20 to get the other hotel to transport you to this one. The comparison re service between the two is like chalk and cheese. This ones service was excellent.
its a nice hotel very clean and great service great location, however one of the staff member needs some training she called my room 5 times even I mentioned 3 times that I was going to checked out a few hours late because of my late flight its like she wanted to kicked me out of the hotel so bad maybe she thought I would not be able to afford the 30 euro for the late checked out?this woman keep calling calling calling calling that was very rude.at least not all of them are rude and its a nice place.
Room size is how it s supposed to be, comfortable, very clean, excellent service . By the airport, it is very convenient for those who needs a hotel in this area o do not want to go to the center of the city to pay 2 or 3 times for a room not even half bbn of the size of the ones you can get here
Well placed for CDG airport, free shuttle bus available between airport and hotel
Staff were very helpful. Location was great. Unfortunately the lift was not working and I had to lug a very heavy suitcase up and down a very narrow windy staircase.
This was the worse service ever. Will never, never go back there. No one was able to find our 4 days paid reservation. we booked via Hotel .com. we pay again to let us stay there.at night they moved us to a different room saying that that room was already reserve by someone else. The next day we were surprised to see someone else open our room while inside saying that he was assign this room at the counter. and this happen every day. Bad experience .
The hotel was lovely, the room was huge. Just be careful when you leave the airport that you go to the right Mercure, there are several. You have to take the shuttle and not the train to get to it. We made that mistake and had to them pay 10 euros to be taxied to the right one.
Perfect place to stop before a flight when you have children with you. We have a car to drive to the terminal.
For the price, shouldn't have been a bad experience and it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either, and here are the 5 reasons: 1. The AC doesn't cool. 2. The WIFI is terrible, reminiscent of dial up speeds 3. The safe has a weird system that didn't work and after calling to have it fixed nobody arrived for a long time 4. The room service menu is limited and the food is mediocre at best. 5. The airport shuttle drops you off at a central spot in T2, so if you're in a different terminal...good luck. All of the above easy fixes....Because, rooms were clean and spacious, beds comfortable, close to airport, inexpensive. It shouldn't be too hard.
While we arrived late and missed all the World Cup final fun, we were checked in promptly and still had time to have a drink and a bite at the bar. The check-in staff were helpful in arranging a taxi for our family of 6 the next morning.
I thought breakfast was included - it was not. The airport shuttle service was a bus that stopped at all hotels. It did not suit us, and so we had the expense of a taxi.
well the air con didint work for the 3 nights I was there, mentioned it to the front desk nobody showed up to fix it or check on it, wifi keeps cutting out in the room works in lobby but not really working in the rooms, over priced breakfast inquired and was quoted a price higher than what is,really was posted on the sign outside of the hotel entrance, front desk ok nothing special been to better hotels for the price
Only 5 min to T2 at the airport. Convenient for rental car return or shuttles. Great hotel, helpful staff.
We overnighted here when British Airways cancelled our flight. Had a free airport transfer and had the twin share rooms that we wanted. Very comfy beds
This was a disappointing experience. I stayed for 1 night and I didn’t expect much but somehow it was even less than I expected. The room had no AC. It was stifling hot and no AC. I was told to open the window... good suggestion... (sarcasm). Opening a window at an airport hotel isn’t something that would spring to mind as being ideal for sleeping... Moving on. The power outlets are not next to the bed. They are on the desk next to the television. Not ideal if you use your phone as an alarm. The airport shuttle was a multi stop bus that was jam packed. It drops you at a common place so do your research first and know where you need to be! At the end of the day, I would not recommend and I will not be returning. Just my experience though.
The hotel is ok for an airport hotel with the exception of the air con not working in the room. however the transfer is terrible as the free shuttle is not ran now by the hotel and the only directions are for the Mercure conferance hotel but is just labelled the mecure, so I ended up tasing 2 hours trying to find the correct hotel!
Good hotel and very responsive but the shuttle bus not clear without calling the hotel ahead.
