Customer service was a bit late. When we first arrived, it takes more than 30 mins for our luggages to arrive to our room. Even sometime a simple request takes at least 30 minutes

Breakfast spread is yums especially local dishes, room service is fast and responsive, pool facilities are well maintained, staffs are friendly and location is very convenient to malls

Booking.com, please ensure my review is published. Everything here is factual. 1. Arrived at the hotel at 16:00 but couldn't enter the room until 18:00; I had to wait in the lobby for two hours. A "late check-out" service (extending the stay by three hours) was added as compensation. 2. Loud music from the outdoor stage played until 3:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep. You should avoid staying here the night before an event. 3. I had booked a room on a high floor (22nd or above) with a good view and club lounge access, but I was downgraded to a standard room on the 15th floor because the hotel was fully booked; no alternative benefits were offered. 4. Instead of the club lounge, I was directed to use the breakfast venue on the 3rd floor. 5. The staff explained things in rapid-fire English and practically thrust the room key into my hand. 6. Upon checking later, I found a 20,000-yen difference between the rate for the room I booked and the one I actually stayed in, yet I received no additional services. I feel like I was scammed. 7. The hotel overbooked and downgraded the guest who booked via Booking.com. Booking.com, please file a complaint with the hotel and refund me the price difference. 8. It is best to avoid this hotel when there are events on public holidays, as many government officials stay there. 9. I learned that hotels in this country sometimes cancel reservations unilaterally, so perhaps I was lucky just to get a room at all. It felt like booking a business class seat on a flight but ending up in economy—a strange country and a truly memorable trip.

Breakfast was good, a wide variety of local and Western options, the coffees were good, and the juice bar was amazing! Rooms were fantastic, staff were all very courteous and efficient. Location fantastic as it is connected to Plaza Indonesia.

Some of the deep-fried fritters at breakfast were too oily. Perhaps to be fried in cleaner oil and at a higher temperature, so the food does not absorb too much oil. The band playing at the hotel was just okay, not as entertaining as the Merje Band that played there a few years back. We would have preferred a local Indonesian band.

The location of the hotel is good and linked to Plaza Indonesia for ease of shopping and food. also adjacent to Grand Indonesia. The rooms are spacious and clean.

While I have requested for connecting room with my elderly parents. However, this was not provided for. Appreciate if the hotel can look through reservations request and be flexible to accede especially for the elderlies.

I stayed at Grand Hyatt Jakarta Thamrin for a business trip and had an overall comfortable experience. The highlight of my stay was Ms Sheva at the front desk. She provided excellent service during check-in — professional, efficient, and very welcoming. Her attention to detail and courteous manner really set the tone for the stay and reflects well on Hyatt’s service standards. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet, with a comfortable bed and good workspace for business. The location in central Thamrin was very convenient. One small note: there was a dripping water sound from the air conditioning. The housekeeping team noticed it during cleaning and mentioned a repair request had been submitted. I trust this will be followed up. Overall, I would recommend Grand Hyatt Jakarta, especially for the service from Ms Sheva and the convenient location.

The Grand Hyatt Hotel location is very convenient, adjoining Plaza Indonesia and just across the road from Grand Indonesia. The traffic around the "Bunderan", the round about in front of the hotel, can be chaotic during peak hours so you best allow extra time. The hotel services are great, breakfast choices delicious with many local favourites. The public areas of the hotel are still excellent, however the room is dated and could benefit with a major renovation and refresh.

I keep coming back to Grand Hyatt Jakarta since 2025 till now. Love the hospitality from Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Family room was large, very comfortable. Location is strategic and very convenient to go plaza indonesia and grand indonesia mall. All staff was very polite and welcome us very well.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and it never disappoints. The location is excellent, but the real highlight is the staff. They are always caring, friendly, and attentive. A special thank you to Ms. Rully and the team for consistently assisting me with my requests with such kindness and care. Their hospitality truly makes every stay memorable. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Jakarta. Thank you for the wonderful stay

The location of the Hotel is very central and convenient, Hotel is directly connected to several malls with tons of dinning options. View from the rooms is impeccable. Atmosphere in the Lobby and all public areas is superb. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast and evening cocktails at the club lounge is fantastic. Service at all level is friendly, professional, prompt and welcoming. Amenities provided in the room is very good.

Bin mit einem Freund verabredet gewesen und habe im Vorfeld ein Zimmer für ihn auf meinen Namen gebucht. Per Emailkontakt gebeten, ihn trotz meiner späten Anreise bereits einchecken zu lassen. Zusage wurde gegeben. Das Zimmer war bereits bezahlt. Man hat ihn aber trotz Zusage nur sehr spät einchecken lassen und nur weil ich noch per WhatsApp an ihn eine Buchungsnummer zu geschickt habe. Das war sehr schlecht. Und - nicht mal eine Entschuldigung als ich dann abends angekommen bin.

Buffet du petit déjeuner exceptionnel. Personnel d’une incroyable gentillesse . Emplacement très agréable. Piscine , salle de sport, spa au top du top.

We stayed at Grand Hyatt Jakarta for one night in July 2026 as a family of four, with two children aged 6 and 4. The stay itself had several positive points: the room was spacious, the location was excellent, and the hotel was generally comfortable. However, our overall impression was strongly affected by how the hotel handled a serious concern I raised regarding the online check-in process. We stayed in a Twin Room of around 50 sqm, which was one of the stronger parts of the stay. The room felt spacious for 2 adults and 2 children, with a sofa area, work desk, bathtub, separate toilet and shower, and a comfortable seating area by the window overlooking Bundaran HI. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and we slept well. For a city hotel, the room layout worked well for our family. The location is also a major advantage. Grand Hyatt Jakarta is connected to Plaza Indonesia, close to Grand Indonesia, and the MRT station is directly in front of the hotel. It is also convenient for guests who want access to Bundaran HI, Tanah Abang, shopping, restaurants, or business activities in central Jakarta. I can see why this hotel works well for visitors from outside Jakarta or overseas who want a practical and central base. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options and several child-friendly choices. My children enjoyed some of the fun breakfast items such as chocolate milk and marshmallows. The service during check-in was smooth, our request for a good view was accommodated, and the hotel also prepared a complimentary cake and celebratory note, which was a thoughtful gesture. However, from a family staycation perspective, the children’s facilities felt quite limited. There is a kids’ pool and some simple outdoor activities near the pool area, but no proper playground or dedicated kids’ club. For Jakarta-based families looking for a hotel where children can spend more time enjoying the facilities, there are other hotels in a similar price range, and even some more affordable ones, with more complete family facilities. My biggest concern, however, was not the facilities. Before arrival, I tried to use the online check-in link for my stay. Instead of showing my own reservation, the page displayed another guest’s personal and booking information, including their name, membership details, stay information, and partial payment card information. This naturally made me very concerned about whether my own personal and membership information could also be exposed to another guest in the same way. I raised this concern directly with the hotel during check-in. I also mentioned it again through the official post-stay survey. In my view, the hotel had two opportunities to acknowledge the issue properly, investigate it, and reassure me that my own data was secure. Unfortunately, the responses I received did not address the specific data privacy concern at all and felt like general template replies. For an issue involving possible exposure of guest information, I expected a much more serious and direct response. This lack of acknowledgement was disappointing and made me feel that guest feedback, especially on a sensitive matter like data privacy, was not handled with the level of care I would expect from a five-star international hotel. I understand that system issues can happen, but when a guest reports seeing another guest’s private booking and partial payment information, the follow-up should not feel generic. Overall, Grand Hyatt Jakarta offers a comfortable room, good breakfast, and an excellent central location. It may work well for business travelers, shopping trips, or visitors from outside Jakarta who prioritize access to Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, MRT, Bundaran HI, and Tanah Abang. However, for our purpose as a Jakarta-based family looking for a children-focused staycation, the hotel felt quite average. Combined with the poor handling of my data privacy concern, I would be hesitant to return unless there was a very compelling reason to stay specifically in the Bundaran HI area.

The location was great in the heart of Jakarta. It is also connected to mall with a few adjacent malls as well. Breakfast options were abundant with delicious local flavours.

Staying at this hotel during Jakarta's birthday weekend made the rooms very noisy as there were celebrations directly outside at the Bundaran monument. If you will be staying at this hotel in late June, suggest booking a pool view room which will have a much lower noise level. I did enjoy the fact that the hotel had bikes available for car-free Sunday on Jln Sudirman. The 25m pool is a bonus for lap swimming.

Grand hotel with complete facilities. Our family room has decent space and adequate sofa bed for the kids to sleep on, along with modern bathroom with nice shower. Breakfast buffet spread had great variety during our stay, and the quality was great too. Swimming pool has plenty of sunlight and was clean. Housekeeping team was attentive and efficient. In room dining service was fast and friendly too. The hotel has direct access to high-end mall, Plaza Indonesia, which is convenient. Our overall stay was pleasant. But I must note that Grand Hyatt seems to be busy with business guests. So the service feels very 'rushed' and transactional. They made a mistake with double charging us the room fees but quickly reversed once pointed out.

The location is perfect, and the overall experience is always exceptional. Best of all, every time I stay here, it truly feels like a second home.

What stood out the most is the people. I had the pleasure of not only meeting some of the staff in the Grand Cafe, the Grand Club, and the Grand Spa, however I also got to meet the wonderful managers and directors. I’ve always been satisfied with our stay at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta. It’s our go-to hotel whenever we visit the city. The location can be a bit tricky, but it doesn’t bother us. We always plan our meetings or appointments with family and friends, but this hotel offers a lot more. It’s just a short walk to the mall and MRT station. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff make our stay feel like home.
