Breakfast Poor set up . Having to walk to another room with my plate. Food was luke warm. Evening meal no ambience in room.
Everything
Noisy room doors banging at night suggest door closers need fitting
A beautiful property set in a lovely setting.
Personally I thought the annexe where I stayed was a little tired.
Location
Ambiente envolvente, calmo e scolhedor
Beautiful building and grounds. Very friendly helpful staff.
Very hot in the room, there was a fan but it was still uncomfortable.
Room was OK. The rooms could have been a bit more in keeping with such a lovely building on the outside. Instead, they are classic conference centre type rooms.
On Sunday night there were cars revving and backfiring out of the front of the building, and racing up the driveway backfiring for 30-40 minutes or more. No-one seemed to stop them. Where was the night manager. This is appalling for this sort of hotel (and was the night before my mother's funeral so it did not go down at all well with me). We complained the next day and they said to complain to the manager who would be there the next morning (I don't how someone who was checking out that day would do that?). We complained the next morning to the manager and he said he would pass it on to the Operations Manager, and that other guests had also complained. Nothing happened. After a week or two I wrote to them and got an apology for it not having been passed on, but nothing else. I'm disgusted and wouldn't stay here again. No real apology for the disturbance, no compensation. Nothing.
We’ve stayed at Easthampstead Park Hotel many times over the last couple of years as it’s very close by to our family and grandchildren. It’s a very comfortable hotel with great staff.
Our room this time was disappointing (005 on the ground floor) as it was very stuffy and too warm, even on a fairly cool day in early September. There were two fans which definitely helped but it was the least comfortable stay we’ve had at the hotel and as we were there for 3 nights, sleep was quite difficult.
Great hotel
The room wasn’t clean , which was incredibly disappointing
Everything this hotel is a hidden Gem
Nothing
Excellent clean rooms, lovely setting and enjoyable breakfast. The use of the well equipped gym was an added bonus
Nothing to really to complain about it was an enjoyable stay
Room was located adjacent to the main building. Room was small but comfy, been looked after nice design. Good shower comfy bed. Coffee machine in room as well as a kettle and biscuits and waters. Balcony outside of my room was a bonus, with plenty of seating. Located next to gym!
No complaints
The staff were very helpful. It's lovely old house in attractive grounds.
We seem to have been assigned the least desirable rooms. Very warm and airless with only a 'view' of the kitchens. Add to that the constant sound of the kitchen fans and the overall Impression was not what I had hoped for.
Convenient
The shower room was not cleaned well
The room was very comfortable but hot due to the heat wave. There was a fan provided but it wasn't very powerful. We arrived late but wanted a drink at the bar (10pm). The staff were just tidying up but served us anyway, which was nice after our long journey. We did not have breakfast or use any other facilities but they all looked good from what we saw.
Lovely property and ground.
There was no air con and the room was so stuffy it felt like sleeping in a sauna, it was awful! Windows barely opened so made no difference. 27 degrees in the room at one point.
Size, grounds were beautiful and had a good feel to it.
No AC but a fan was provided to try and lessen the heat build up.
Great place nice breakfast although only thing letting it down for me was the room could have been a bit larger.
Location was great. Welcoming staff, loving facilities. Dining on site was really good.
The room would have benefited from air conditioning or a better fan. It was hot in the room.
Fantastic & scenic & pretty beautiful and very peaceful and clean and friendly and staff are professional and polite and helpful and customer Focused
The outside grounds were very nice for an Al fresco drink in the evening.
The room I had was an accessible room, which I didn't ask for. No aircon so room was hot and stuffy. Being on the ground floor and a female loan yravwller I didn't feel safe to open the window.
Lovely property and surroundings. Nice bar, Good staff
Beneath the bed sheet was a thick/quilted mattress topper. This made the bed MUCH warmer as it retains body heat. In summer this is very uncomfortable especially due to the lack of air-conditioning.
Fantastic, spacious and very attentive staff
Nothing, it was brilliant
The venue and main building are attractive
Room had 1 set of towels, tv didn't work, sink drained very slowly. Noise from the gym late evening. Purchased a £45 sirloin steak which owing to the price tag should have been exceptional, it was not. Informed the matre de who said he would note it to the chef. I added breakfast at £12.50 via an email received, I was charged £19.50 each for 2 breakfasts. I complained about all these matters to reception who would not budge, would not let me speak to a manager. They were unable to give me an itemised bill and said they would email me retrospectively. Not received. They also indicated a manager would contact me by email to address the issues, no contact received. This hotel is probably the shoddiest Hotel I have ever stayed in. Not happy! To make matters worse, my wife and her sisters organised their fathers wake at the hotel same day, we spent a lot of money, circa £1600. This was OK though I wish we hadn't decided to stay fir the night. I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay there again
We didnt stay, as when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant was shut, even though I rang earlier to book, we were also told that they had 800 football fans coming to watch the England game. So not a real review, however the place looked nice enough,we did get a full refund but then had to find somewhere else, we really should have been contacted by hotel to advice us on the situation.
Beautiful building
unfortunately my experience was disappointing due to several issues during my stay and the way my complaint was handled afterwards. Despite the hotel acknowledging that there was wedding noise way past midnight on a Tuesday night, excessive room temperature, and problems with the television, the only resolution offered was a complimentary breakfast. While this was appreciated at the time, it did not reflect the level of disruption I experienced during a stay that cost over £112 The noise from a wedding taking place at the hotel was significant and affected my ability to rest. Combined with the uncomfortable room temperature and issues with the faulty TV, the overall experience fell well below what I would expect for the price paid. I was also disappointed by the inconsistency in the complaint handling. At one point I was offered a 20% discount on a future stay, but this was later withdrawn and replaced with the breakfast offer, with no further compensation provided. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously or resolved fairly. Overall, while the staff response was polite, the handling of both the stay issues and the complaint left me dissatisfied. I would not expect to have to spend more money at the hotel in order to receive meaningful redress for a stay that was clearly impacted by multiple problems.
The property was beautiful and staff were wonderful
Nothing
location was good lovely building
no air conditioning
Grand old house with spectacular driveway
Attentiveness of staff
Lovely location, very green
Very peaceful and quiet and Terrace was lovely. Staff were very helpful in returning an item we had left at the hotel.
Cooked Breakfast was poor everything looked like it had been out to long. Prices at the bar were way to expensive £6.50 for a can of lemonade and 1/2 shandy equating to £20 a pint.
- Comfy modern furnishing - Quiet location - Friendly & helpful staff
- Facilities and parking far away from room (in separate building) - Subpar breakfast
Amazing value for money. Great gym, excellent location, super fast WiFi.
Beautiful grounds. Lovely breakfast. Staff welcoming.
Nothing
Stunning ground absolutely beautiful but everything els is a façade.
Dirty unclean bathroom shower with stains and pubic hair and unconfirmed brown stains mould everywhere
I stayed here three night two of the nights I didn’t get to sleep until 4am due to a wedding the noise was unbearable. I was going to be a regular at this hotel however I need to reconsider.
Noise
We liked the architecture, the grounds were beautiful front of house and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful
There was nothing that we didn’t like
Very private , nice atmosphere
It’s super warm in England, probably doesn’t have A/C
Loved the location & staff interaction.
I didn't like that I arrived & there wasn't an offer of help with my luggage, nor was I escorted to my room, just some vague instructions. I didn't want the room cleaned on the Friday, but would've liked it cleaned on Sunday, so removed the "Do Not Disturbed" sign. Also, immediately outside the bedrroom window was a gym & it could be heard through the day. I did not request a change of room as I was only there for 3 nights.
lovely location couldn’t fault the comfort very comfortable
we are disabled so the lift to the first floor was great but the set of stairs down to the room was difficult for us
Spur of the moment visit to Easthampstead Park on a hot summer afternoon for a refreshing cup of tea on the terrace. We sat under an enormous sun shade surrounded by urns overflowing with flowers overlooking the fountain and extensive grounds. Stress free and relaxing. The service was exceptional.
The hotel is beautiful with a long drive, imposing frontage and very friendly staff, lovely food and all seemed great, however, if you stay in the Hepburn part of the house beware the zumba or aerobics classes which start in the gym below you, I had had a very busy day and wanted a snooze before dinner but this was not possible because they were going on at 1930 and 0730 and with no air con you have to have the windows open and it isn't a quiet class. If the Hepburn rooms didn't have this the hotel would get a very good rating but this somewhat ruined it for me and I was not pre-warned about the noise so make sure you get rooms in the other part of the hotel
Convenient location
Nothing
The hotel in general is very good the food is excellent and well presented, staff are very polite and helpful.
I booked a room in the main house but was given a room in an annexe at the back. Although staff apologised and I received a partial refund it somewat ruined what should have bee a perfect weekend. As I had stayed there about 4 weeks prior I returned expecting the same as my first visit but the room fell way below par and not up to expectations.
Location was great
The food at breakfast for such a lovely hotel was very poor, scrambled eggs beans and mushrooms all cold dispute being under hot plates, tried telling staff and fell on deaf ears.
Impressive to look at
Lacking attention to detail. Bathroom floor had paint splatter on it and masking tape residue. Skirting board was visibly dusty. Shower screen waterproofing strip was stained and dislodged. No air con so room was stuffy. Sat on terrace for evening drink but furniture did not fit the setting and needed cushions for comfort.
Rooms too hot only a dusty dirty fan provided. Moved to a down stairs room with no fan so good job we took the one from 2nd floor room. Had dinner on the terrace. Service slow, staff need to be trained more on etiquette and personality. Small loaf for starter which was very tasty but a shocking £8 charge when we saw the bill. My friend and I ordered sea food linguine which neither of us could eat, it was swimming in oil. One meal was deducted from the bill. However the greasyness of the food woke me at 3am with the most horrendous stomach ache and numerous visits to the bathroom. In top of that with the heat, I had to leave the room and spent the next 3 hours sleeping in reception on the sofas behind the large staircase. To top.it all, I had a shower before leaving and the shower head fell off just missing hitting my head. This was the most disappointing stay especially as I used to go to school here and I was so excited to the pending visit. I filled in a complaint form which was supposed to go straight thru to the manager... I am still waiting a reply. This was over a week ago !! So Easthampstead Park, a real let down and very very disappointing.
Cleanliness, facilities, staff, view, bath as asked for.
The loud music until after midnight. The cost was double what I paid the last time I stayed
High standard. Very clean. Very helpful staff We were given a room in Hepburn which involved a long walk and lots of stairs which we did not realise. I have had a hip operation and not walking too well. A very nice lady called Michelle noticed me struggling and said she would get us a nearer room which was very kind of her. It was a smaller room but very nice. Very comfy bed.
No air conditioning in the room although a fan provided ( which we fixed as it was rattling). No remote for the T2 but we got one from reception. This didn’t work at all but after another trip to reception we were given one that did work.
Very disappointed with on overnight stay. Had stayed previously in the main part of the hotel which was nice, this time we were put in the Hepburn House. I know it was during something of a heatwave but the room was uncomfortably hot! No air con, just one small fan which didn't do much. Speaking to others, they all said the same about the rooms being like an oven. Positioned over the outdoor gym area which meant you could hear people working out until late at night and then nicely woken at 6.30am by someone doing battle ropes (or something along those lines!) When we explained this noise to the receptionist we just kept getting 'oh bless you'! Not very helpful, she obviously couldn't care less. Glasses in the room were dirty, 'lip' marks on both. The hairdryer made an awful noise and was vibrating - clearly something loose inside. Just not the level of customer service and standards you would expect.
The grounds are beautiful.
The air con didn’t stay on during the night so had to keep switching back on, appreciate that in the UK we wouldn’t normally need air con. I blame the heat wave.
Staff on reception were so helpful and really went out of their way to accommodate. Venue is absolutely stunning with beautifully scenery, great breakfast and well designed rooms
It was unfortunate but it was so hot and the rooms didn’t come with air con which made our stay a little uncomfortable.
Nice hotel and area
It was so ridiculously hot I couldn't sleep at all. Granted it's a listed building so they can't put huge aircon units into the room but the pathetic minature fans that are provided are a joke. You're paying a room premium so expect some sort of expenditure from the hotel to make it comfortable for you as an end user. Will pay £60 less and stay at a travellodge or something next time just so I can actually sleep
A nice mansion in the countryside with a big garden
It was very hot, no AC, also not even water bottles in the room. I got so thirsty at night and asked for water, had to go downstairs to get them myself. Water bottles should be standard in the room. There was a wedding, since it was so hot, had to open the window, and music went on till almost 1am.
Such a shame. Had high hopes for this place as the location is stunning and first impressions were just that. However it was downhill from there. At time of stay the UK is experiencing a heatwave and unfortunately the hotel just isn’t equipped to deal with it. No air con in the room which came as a huge surprise as having booked through a travel website, it states that there is. Anyway checked in and went to the room, upon discovering no air con tried to call reception twice but no answer. Had to go back to reception and surprise surprise there were 2 members of staff at the desk, both free. Asked about the air con and told that the travel website is wrong. Asked if they had any rooms with air con, told yes we do but you can’t have one as all had been allocated to a wedding party also staying at the same time. Therefore the best they could offer was a fan which is in the wardrobe. Went back upstairs and checked the wardrobe - no fan in the wardrobe. Had to head back down again and said there wasn’t one so could they give me one. Told to head back up and housekeeping would bring me one. So went back up again. Waited half an hour in a sweltering room and nobody called or came to the room. Yet again had to head down and asked if I could have a fan. Told to go back up and wait but I insisted I would wait as lost all confidence in the staff at this point. Eventually handed a small table top fan, asked if I could have another one as the single fan would struggle to cool the room. Told no you can’t, hotel policy is one fan per room. Really? Anyway had an extremely uncomfortable rest of stay due to the heat. I was tempted to leave within the first hour due to the poor guest handling but talked out of it by partner as we’d already travelled more than 90 minutes to reach the hotel. Other points to mention - dirty glasses in the room and no body wash in the shower, had to use shampoo! Overall I felt like an inconvenience and in no way like a valued guest. In no way will I ever be returning. Anyone else looking to stay - I’d suggest avoid it in the summer months and also bring your own body wash just in case. On the plus side you’ll get plenty of steps in walking back and forth to reception.
This is our 3rd visit...it is a beautiful building and has lovely grounds and a great terrace area.
The window doesn't open more than a couple of inches...there was a desk fan which wasn't very good....for this type of hotel and the known heatwave we think they could have prepared more for the extreme heat...the bedroom was unbearably hot.
The Grill hosted a family member's wake for 30 guests. The room was laid out beautifully with water pitchers and glasses on each table set for 4 to 6 people. The cream tea was fantastic and very generous in amount. There were 4 types of sandwich; ham and mustard, egg mayonase with watercress, beef and horseradish and smoked salmon with cream cheese. These sandwiches were surprising delicious. We have all had these sandwiches before but these ones caused us to stop and say "Wow this sandwich is tasty!" There were scones with cream and jam, carrot cake, amazing chocolate bownies and squares of Victoria sponge. We had all varieties of tea, milks and coffee. The vegans and gluten intolerant amongst us had their own versions at no extra cost. The staff were available and helped with any query promptly. Agnes, voluntarily appeared with foil to wrap left-overs for us to take home. Hiring The Grill as a venue allowed us to use the bar area and outside terrace as well. We were not put under any pressure to leave when our allocated time was finished. Booking this venue was easy with Sukey Sherritt answering my e. mail queries. She was unflapable as I asked a range of questions including about bringing dogs (allowed in the main bar and outside). I increased the size of my booking and this was handled easily. I think the price of £24 a person was very reasonable as there was no extra costs involved. We did not pay extra for the room or any extra drinks. Parking was easy with a short walk but accessible parking was available right by the hotel entrance. The toilets were very nice and all the facilities were accessible for wheelchair users. My guests had a lovely celebration in a beautiful room with great food and drinks. Thank you to all the team at Easthampstead Park.
The building is very nice, has a beautiful park around it. Very impressive.
The rooms are old and with no air conditioning. It was awfully hot; you could not open the windows to allow some fresh air to get into the room. We were given only a very old and terribly noisy fan. Very bad experience. I would strongly suggest not to go there in summer time
Struttura ben posizionata
Staff scorbutico température interne alle stanze assurde un solo minuscolo ventilatore per stanza.
We have just arrived home from our 2 night stay at this beautiful hotel. Helena was so welcoming and friendly, taking time to chat to us on more than one occasion, wanting to know how our day had been. We just happened to book our stay on the days that broke records for high temperatures. Helena gave us a room on the ground floor because it was cooler than upstairs and although there isn’t air conditioning in the rooms, we were provided with a fan which did its job. The room was spacious and very clean and the shower was excellent, the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner on the first evening which deserves compliments to the chef and the restaurant staff were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and the pastries were amazing. The grounds to this hotel are superb but it was too hot to walk around them. This stay was bought for my husband’s 70th birthday from our son and his fiancé and we think they chose well. Thank you to ALL staff involved. We would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of booking here.
The hotel's location , environment and standards
Standard double bed - a little small ( Annex room )
Beautiful grounds and spacious clean rooms with high ceilings. Good breakfast. A little gem tucked away in the countryside.
It would have benefited from aircon (especially during the heatwave this summer) and a fridge in the room
The grounds were nice
The was no air conditioning in the room. There was a fan, but it was noisy
Beautiful hotel / venue & the grounds are outstanding and very well maintained Ample parking Downside there are no concierge - the lift stopped at our room level one but you have to navigate quite a few steps to the level where the rooms actually are which we found difficult with a heavy suitcase, and met other couples during our stay that struggled too, there was only one lady on front desk & she explained there is no one else to help unfortunately. We used the hotel trolley but of course could not attempt these stairs with a trolley Rooms are clean, staff pleasant Breakfast beautiful
Lovely hotel location good rooms are lovely and big. Good 👍 value for money
Lovely venue for a family catch up. The sunny weather meant we could have a delicious afternoon tea on the terrace. The grounds were great especially as our dog was with us.
We have stayed at the hotel a lot and not so keen on the new buffet breakfast arrangement. It may be more cost effective but personally I prefer the previous breakfast menu options and service.
Great location and the building and grounds are impressive
No air conditioning. Practically no phone signal.
The hotel. Mostly staff very h.
The price and the bar meal linguini prawn made my wife ill.
The best aspect of the hotel is the park where the hotel is located.
Cleanliness the rooms were clean but room service food and plates were left outside rooms. I found this when checking in and the items weren’t taken away when I check out the following day.
Lovely location beautiful property and you feel like you are staying in stately home. Room comfortable and clean Enjoyed supper and drinks in the bar. Staff were really helpful and attentive
Just a couple of tiny housekeeping issues. No hairdryer or tissues in the room. Everything else provided to a high quality standard
Stayed for a wedding - All lovely and no complaints
All good
Lovely furnishings. Lots of options to sit in and out. Staff very friendly. Grounds were beautiful.
Food quality at dinner not as expected and disappointing for the price. Bland and unseasoned so not good value. Breakfast good choice but had to ask three times for tea.
Very comfortable, lovely staff
I’ve stayed here many times but unfortunately the room we were given was very small this time but the same price as we usually pay so was disappointed.
The beds at EP are normally very comfortable but unfortunately the room and bed we were given this time was very uncomfortable and bad night sleep !
What's not to love about a long driveway leading to a spectacular Manor house. We arrived too late for dinner (after 9:30) but we were not disappointed as it was a fantastically warm evening so we were able to sit outside on comfy sofas and enjoy a couple of G&T's as it got dark. Breakfast was good, rooms were generous (no aircon in ours) but it was airy with the window open. The inside was immaculate and we'll definitely come back with our family sometime.
It was perfect for a stopover, in fact too good but why not treat yourselves! It'll be perfect for both long and short stays so really there's nothing not to like.
gardens & manor house.
I wasn’t in main manor house At the wake we didn’t get beer on pump and it was an extremely hot day. No air con
We wanted to thank Sukey personally, as she made what was always going to be a difficult process much easier for us. The food went down well, enjoyed, and delivered without the usual coloured bread, which was appreciated The only feedback people mentioned was that the room being set up classroom-style rather than with smaller round tables made it a little difficult for people to circulate, talk, and access the food easily. We managed to make it work by encouraging people to move around and help each other, but I thought it was worth mentioning as something to consider for future events where the main objective is conversation and interaction. I’m assuming the room may have been arranged that way because of the screen, and perhaps it looked as though we were planning a presentation. In reality, the screen was just intended as background content to help prompt conversation rather than being the focus of the event. Overall, the event went as well as it possibly could given the circumstances. People commented that the background photos and the packs of photographs placed on tables worked well in helping people start conversations. Based on Sukey’s assistance and support throughout, we would absolutely recommend the hotel for future event
Big and spacious nice garden
The building is stunning. It takes my breath away every time I drive down the long drive towards the front of the hotel. It is also stepped in history which fascinates me. It is a perfect location for a getaway.
Nothing!!!!! There is nothing not yo like!
Loved the clean rooms the grounds are beautiful and the staff were very helpful
Everything was perfect. The clean rooms and the grounds are beautiful and the staff were great
We had a brilliant deal. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. We thought the drinks were lovely in the evening. Even though celebrations were going on we were not disturbed and had a good night’s sleep. The room was beautifully clean and we appreciated the rituals toiletries in the bathroom. We thought the service was great and friendly too. There is a little corporate feeling ( it is a big hotel) but the building is beautiful and historic and the view from the terrace was lovely.
Highly recommend this hotel. 2 day event for 70 people mixed with business meetings, outdoor teambuilding activities, bbq and formal dinner. Kate White and her team, Michelle and Matt looked after us amazingly. Lots of last minute changes dealt with very professionally. Thank you for making my job easier.
Fantastic setting, beautiful parkland for walking our dog, brilliant staff!
Fridge didn’t work
everything
nothing i loved it
For me, the location is just ideal for my business trips to the M4 corridor, especially Bracknell. It's always clean with very heplful staff. The breakfast selection is excellent, setting you up for a busy day.
For the first time I stayed in the main house rather than the annex, and to be honest I prefer the annex. The room I stayed in this time was roomy, but it just wasn't cosy. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's entirely down to what you prefer.
Beautiful position
We did not have breakfast
All of it
Incredible building and surroundings, and the room was amazing
Literally nothing
Beautiful grounds and buildings. A truly lovely place to stay. Staff are always welcomNot my first and wont be my last I'm sure.
I held my wife's Bereavement Reception in the Ballroom, Tawney Bar and Orangery for about 60 guests. My communication with EHP was with Sukey, who dealt with all my requirements to my complete satisfaction. The building and gardens are beautiful and very impressive making it a perfect venue for such an occasion. The size of the Ballroom was just right and it was well worth while paying for the private bar, Orangery and covered outside space, so as to be completely separate to the rest of the hotel. There would have been ample space for more guests had we required it. My guests commented on how lovely the place was. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. A couple of guests stayed overnight and were very pleased with the room and dinner. I would be perfectly happy to recommend Easthampstead Park to anyone.
What a beautiful hotel! So picturesque and well maintained! Even better than the photos they do not do it justice
Beautiful hotel set in awesome grounds. Very friendly & accommodating staff especially Farsi and Daniele on reception. Rooms were clean & spacious with all facilities needed for a weekend break. Period home that has retained all its features but modernised inside for contemporary living. Breakfast was served quickly with good choices. Dinner in the hotel had a stately feel to it - could have been a little cosier and intimate for evening meal. Could not fault this stay and only an hour or so away from London
The location and surroundings are well kept
The room offered was different from what was shown during the booking
