Having to pay Extra to park car in your Hotel
It was a lovely hotel, the staff were absolutely amazing, the cookie when you checked in was also a nice touch.
The room needed some tlc, cobwebs on the walls and some other bits of general cleaning that got missed. Beds seem to be well used, to the point that they are bowed and aren't very comfortable.
Close to M4 Good mattress Quiet location
Had to pay for parking Breakfast was very poor
Very hotnin bar area as air con broken during hot spell. Other than than good.
Breakfast was fabulous Staff wonderful especially: Pedro, Gerard, and a young guy who worked on reception who's name began with K - Khan (my eyesight is not as good as it used to be)🙃 Beautiful grounds
Paying to park!
Lovely location, staff very helpful, room was excellent.
The speed bumps, as my car is low and it got caught on the bottom which caused damage underneath this had an impact on my onward journey to Bournemouth to which the AA had to be called out.
The indoor pool and spa had been shut down earlier in the year after we had booked it for those very facilities. We had received no message to inform us if those changes. After speaking with Sam, one of the managers. £100 refund was agreed upon. Unsurprisingly after being told it was being processed- it never materialised.
Very comfy bed, great shower. Great breakfast, very friendly helpful staff
Garden chairs were a bit un-loved and some broken
Where it is In Wokingham, it’s easy to get to. We had a twin room and the beds are like a small doubles which is rather nice.
It does look tired, the air conditioning wasn’t working so we had a fan which actually wasn’t any good. There is cracks it the decor. The plug in the sink in the bathroom gets stuck so you need to remove it to empty the sink. I could go on. There were silly little things which you expect not to happen In Hillton hotels. They hadn’t topped up teas, coffee or milk in our room. The breakfast although, it was nice, it was kept warm for too long, so some of the dishes could be a bit dry.
Clean comfortable and good location for us
Booked due to spa and pool to find them closed with no prior notification plus out tv kept switching itself off (we didnt report as weren't overly bothered).
It was clean and bed comfortable
Hot breakfast buffet was not kept supplied. Room service was a minimum spend of £19, and the night reception team were unhelpful and described the only available option and 2 bits of bread with cheese in the middle!
Good lounge area. Excellent main course for dinner
Problems with card machine for customers booking in. Slow service in bringing desert menu.
The location was great for our purposes.
Parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired. It felt at times that the hotel was understaffed.
The air conditioning wasn’t working so u fortunately we had to change rooms
No working air conditioning an Dhabi g to change rooms
Staff were friendly and the rooms were a good size.
Location and staff
No or little AC Fans inadequate Hilton booking system failure caused chaos
Good value. Accommodating staff
No air con.
Hotel was nice, it was a bit far from the Heathrow and with no shuttle, navigating getting there for us was a little frustrating but the rest of our party drove and there was plenty of parking. We found the multiple train/buses difficult with luggage so ended up just taking an Uber. This hotel is a great location for Ascot and is a nice, quiet hotel with good facilities. If you wanted to spend time at the hotel and/or had a car, this is a great choice.
Bit far from public transport into London (including airport) and acknowledging the hotel was old, it was quite modernised however some rooms had AC but others didn't which we found interesting, we were told the pool was closed (not sure if this is for renovation or permanent but pool was listed at booking but not available when we arrived) Overall, the "old" feeling comes with some dirt, specifially, our bathroom had dirty grout which took a minute to realise wasn't mold and there was a spaghetti stain on the curtains etc. but these did appear to be stains and not recent mess that wasn't cleaned. Our room was cleaned, beds made daily etc.
Staff were friendly the hotel was clean and tidy and offered great value for money
No air con very poor customer service couldn’t even get an invoice
No air con and poor customer service gym was pre historic
The location to get to lego land was great . Easy to find aswell. The beds were comfortable great sheets pillows and spacious in the room. My son is in a wheel chair and I emailed ahead and they gave us ground floor which was great. The staff were also really friendly.
The bathroom was really outdated and id emailed ahead to say we were disabled and they gave us a bath which was quite difficult to get my son in and out of he's nearly 14 so I think they need to have a disabled bathroom with a seat walk in shower . The bathroom was also dirty with pubes in the bath was a bit horrified ! Breakfast was warm and not hot either .
I was very lucky to hold my 60th birthday celebrations at Hilton St. Anne's Manor on 2nd August, all organised by my son. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly, Kirtan and Emma at the bar and also Dil and Shrada, all for their amazing service and care throughout the event. It was such a pleasure to be able to book live music so a big shout out to The One Eyed Man, his voice is amazing and the choice of music could not be faulted, everyone complimented him. It was also amazing to book DJ Josh for the rest of the afternoon and evening. He provided a fabulous atmosphere and had everyone up dancing! My friends and family were complimenting how nice the food was, so fresh, and the hot items were indeed hot! We all enjoyed every minute of our day. Thank you all so much for making my birthday celebrations such a memorable event! Lizzie Hughes
We hired the Sunningdale Suite for a meeting of 20 people. I have to say thank you for the exceptional service of Shrada who was our event manager on the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was great for a cabaret style meeting of 20 people. It was one of the bad heatwave days, so we were very grateful for the aircon. We all enjoyed the lunchtime buffet as well.
We had the pleasure of celebrating my sister's birthday here on Sunday, 2nd August, and it was a fantastic experience. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Dil, Shrada, Kirtan, and Emma at the bar for their exceptional service and care throughout the event. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were able to enjoy live music during the day and a DJ in the evening, which created a wonderful atmosphere. The buffet was excellent, with plenty of choice, and the hot food was served piping hot. The team also kindly helped us move tables to exactly where we needed them, making everything so easy for our guests. A massive thank you to you all for helping make my sister's birthday such a memorable occasion. We truly appreciated all your hard work and hospitality. Jacqui
Staff were amazing and very welcoming. Room very spacious with amenities in the room. Good gym to use and the restaurant looked good although we didn’t eat there.
Nothing
Perfect stay
The hotel was clean and had all the facilities we required for a short stay for a wedding nearby.
Upon checking in the staff member was friendly but the system was not working so we waited a long time before she attempted another desk which started to work but she then needed a colleague to take over. The next day when we went to access our room we were locked out and returned to the reception desk for the guy that helped out the day before to say our card was only registered for one night instead of the two. Ordinarily this wouldn’t have bothered us but we came back to the hotel between wedding functions so we were pushed for time and the hiccup wasn’t ideal although easily sorted.
Beautiful hotel set in extensive grounds. Very modern rooms at a reasonable price and recently upgraded and have a modern feel. Bar and restaurant area spacious and open with views onto forest area. Outside seating with sunbeds and seating. If you’re lucky you might spot a deer or two (as I did). Staff helpful and cheery. Menu prices not extortionate for the area . Only down side is lack of air con and fridges in the room unlike the majority of Doubletree brands, but don’t let this deter you from visiting. Breakfast is probably one of the best I’ve had in doubletrees, and I’ve stayed in a lot. Only real downside was the charging points - £40 for a 2/3 charge m, that’s bordering on extortion. Use Tesco down the road it’s 90% cheaper. Overall this hotel is up there with the best I’ve stayed at and it has a free car park and is dog friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.
Location was good with easy easy, ample parking
The room and hotel was hot due to weather with no AC so uncomfortable even with fans
Stayed here for 1 night on business have to say was a very nice stay ,made to feel welcome at reception on check in room was clean and spacious, had a very nice curry in the restaurant overall no complaints at all
Nice to be able to sit outside and have dinner. Beautiful dining room
Shower tray grubby and the bottom of the shower screen grubby. I booked a queen room expecting a large bed but had at best a king
Room should be air conditioned
Great Indian food at the restaurant and very lovely service from Uma. 😊 Thanks 🥰
Room was 30 Deg C, this is completely unacceptable for a room rate of £248!!!
Location
Lack of Air Conditioning
The position and outside grounds
No pool as advertised. No air conditioning. Generally run down. The water was turned off several times during our stay.
We arrived at the hotel feeling hot, stressed and miserable after a long journey. Dali on the front desk was so kind and went the extra mile to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We were really impressed by his professional and compassionate attitude. Thank you so much.
Have been coming to this hotel for 8 years was very surprised and shocked to find on arrival that swimming pool was now shut i had booked months before and all information still said swimming pool this is main reason we use this hotel basically we got told on day when checked in if new this i wouldn't have stayed and reception staff were very rude when I questioned this completely gone down hill
The staff, in particlur Danny at reception, were excellent at getting a resolution to a room that was so hot is was inhabitable...
Firstly, the room allocated to us was ridiculously hot... the handout given on checking in suggested that all curtains and windows would be kept closed to keep the room temperature controlled. Unfortunatley, the window and curtains were open with a fan recirculating hot air, which created a room temperature of 34 degrees! Whilst i do appreciate that not all the rooms have A/C, Danny at reception immediately resolved this issue and moved us to a more suitable room... On checking out I was told that there would be a charge for my dog, which is acceptable, however when I spoke to someone earlier in the week they had told me it would be £20 per night, but I was being charged £40 per night - when I challenged this I was told that as a gesture of good will, they would reduce the charge to £20 per night - not really a gesture, as this is what I was told it would cost!!!
Nice clean room and lovely location , value for money .
Stayed for overnight . No complaints
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially behind the bar.
Double bed was too soft for me (100kgs)
Nothing
Poor quality hotel. Our room 343 did not have AC. They placed 2 fans in the room instead. When we asked for an AC, the receptionist was unhelpful and said that the hotel does NOT have AC. Rate it 2 star and would not recommend it. The conservatory was an oven and we could not feel comfortable in the room or the bar area. One hotel to avoid on a hot day.
Plenty of space inside the room, the hotel in general and outside. A friendly relaxed atmosphere throughout. Plenty of parking. We will certainly stay again.
Lack of air-conditioning in the room, although there was both a fan and heavy-duty curtains.

Was very surprised how clean and good facilities were for the price we paid. Never expected it to be as nice a hotel as it is for such reasonable prices. Staff were all lovely and welcoming
Very poor for the cost of the room. £230 room only. Came for Royal Ascot, it was rather hot so the room had some fans in them which was good but there were No plugs by bed so fans were too far away on other side of the room and couldnt feel them. Had to rearrange the furniture to try and move fans onto desks etc. All the lamps were plugged into non UK plug sockets so couldn’t unplug lamps to plug in the fans next to the bed. USB plugs didn’t work so couldn’t charge phone. Booked room for 3 people but only tea facilities for 2 - i.e. 2 mugs, Only 2 bottles of water but you gave us 3 towels so you knew. Checked in late as it was after ascot and when I asked if there was a complimentary warm cookie (as said in the app) you said you’d run out?! Surely you know how many people are checking in?! I know it’s not major but was really looking forward to that. And it’s supposed to be one of the perks of staying in a Hilton in my opinion. Got home and received the invoice via email and they added someone else’s dinner. I called and they took my details but didn’t hear back so had to ring back after 2 days. Then I was asked to put details in an email which I did and still didn’t hear back. Had to chase again. Finally got a refund after 2 weeks. Make sure you double check your bill on checkout! Who knows how many people this has happened to. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Cleanliness, comfort, decor, grounds easy parking
View from room over flat roof
Location
No AC, room smelled heavily of raw onion, chipped and worn furniture and fittings. 5 Star charges for -3 star facilities.
Location was useful for us
There was no AC in the room and it was not clear when I booked that that was the case. In fact the room had AC but it wasn’t working. When we spoke to the front desk and the manager they said it was an old hotel and just fobbed us off. Really quite awful customer service. We did ask to be moved to a different room or be refunded so we could book elsewhere but he said it was company policy not to refund more then 25%. Ended up staying as we only needed the room for one night. What a disappointment. Also the room was dusty and dirty. I don’t think the hotel is very clean.
My wife and I stayed overnight. The Curry menu was fantastic. The Railway Lamb Curry and the Paneer Curry was phenomenal. All the staff, super helpful and a lovely welcome and service from Viktoria at the Bar and, at Breakfast.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. We turned up at 9pm for a work stay only to find out they’d double booked our room and a number of other guests. They then fobbed us off saying they had booked us a room in a hotel 10 minutes away, we drove there and they’d never heard of us. Had to drive back to the Hilton to resolve it, over 2 hours later we finally had a room at the other hotel (at cost of £300) but by this time it was nearly midnight. This used to be a good hotel, we’ve stayed here many times before, but never again - look at the reviews, it’s changed for the worst. Has put me off staying at any Hilton for that matter.
Great location, staff friendly, food lovely
Could do with fridge in room
Breakfast was good, a good few choices available, great location for the function I was attending.
The room was too hot avearge temperature inside the room was 30C, given the recent weather... there was no A/C in the room, I asked for a change of room I was told there were no AC rooms; there was a provision of cheap plastic fan which was constantly making noise as it rotated; I requested for another and was given a tower fan which was quite but not as effective. Luckily I was only staying for 1 night so beared up! The hotel decor inside is a tad dated and needs sprucing up.
Location ideal for what we needed, however this was the worst double tree we’ve stayed at. Room is awful, NO AC had to keep curtains closed to avoid sun heating the room, TV difficult to use, a slim fan that just gave hot air to compensate for no AC and bed too firm. Breakfast was poor. Wedding party the following morning made breakfast less enjoyable with their loud and rudeness, really should have placed them in another area. Really sad to see a hotel chain let themselves down. The room rates do not reflect what you get, this is a poor value for money. Reception staff don’t address you, the only staff who do are the cleaners, they were polite. Overall we won’t stay here again.
Stayed here as part of a Legoland package. I can honestly say that I am so glad that we chose this location. The staff were so friendly and gave my children and ice lolly and cookies at check-in. Our room was air conditioned and we were also provided with two desk fans. The room was spacious, clean and provided everything we need to feel at home. Plenty of parking and a 25 minute drive to Legoland. Breakfast was nice and catered for all our appetites. Would definitely recommend for a more relaxed stay.
No Air conditioning - not what you’d expect at a Hilton!
Lovely hotel. Good location for Ascot.
Nothing
We loved all aspects of the manor/Hotel. Friendly & dog friendly too. Staff were great. Everything perfect, comfort, cleanliness & food areas. Grounds were lovely too.
The lateness of other guests 2-4 am both nights, not keeping their voices low, affecting our puppy to create each time. Would prefer quieter areas where people with dogs could be situated within the Manor.
the room and bathroom
no robes, slippers, pool
Near where I was going out that night
Checking in was shocking , said I hadn’t been there before and that I booked breakfast, the person never believed me and just checked me in , no information about breakfast times , how to get to the room , or where to go to the pool and opening times. Bedroom small and dirty in places to of the plug sockets never worked , went to get some food a the bar had to wait for someone to come to the bar for about 10 mins. Sat outside all the grounds overgrown and not very appealing. Not what I expected from a Hilton chain :( should have just stayed at the premier inn where my family were staying and at half the price with breakfast
The children got ice lollies on arrival. Rooms are large, modern, and well equipped. we had 3 fans in our room. The grounds are great for walks
Google search states they have a swimming pool, but unfortunately they do not.
Greenery
Unprofessional staff (no courtesy), below par room quality (despite booking a junior suite) and low quality breakfast (stale croissants and pastries).
It was clean & tidy and Modern
Nothing
The staff are the best! Nothing is too much from the head chef to Mohammed and to the amazing reception staff all of whom alway make us feel welcomed and cared for.
Nice rooms ambience and convenient
Mohammed is CONSISTENT with excellent dining and bar experience-much appreciated as a loyal frequent Hilton Honors guest! He accommodates your dining requests from seating preference, dining options and a nice range of beverage, wine selections and bar drinks. Mohammed creates the best bar drinks-love his gin and tonics and espresso martinis-many thanks! The dining experience is an important factor with the guest experience.Always service with a smile and a welcoming demeanor.
Very good but no bananas
Would be good for a notice to tell people that they can ask for poached eggs if they prefer them or boiled eggs .
Gym
Very thin walls
Very nice grounds and helpful staff
Price of drinks at the bar
Another fantastic experience, this by far remains my favourite Hilton to visit , the manager Mohammed is most attentive and welcoming , the team went out of their way to greet all the guests which was great to see. Having travelled and spent time in numerous hotels this remains my favourite place to visit as it’s a luxury homely experience surrounded by a welcoming team who seem happy to be there and are shown appreciation by their manager Mohammed which is a pleasure to witness .
Lovely grounds and area
On the website I saw it mentioned a swimming pool but no pool on arrival
The grounds were nice and the location was good for the plans we had made.
The health suite was closed which disappointed us all. I do not recall receiving any information about this. Our room didn't have AC and the temperatures exceeded 30 degrees. Extra fans were put in the room but this did not help and we had two restless nights with very hot granddaughters.
the restaurant seemed to have a limited menu and quite expensive.
Generally most things ok, Breakfast good, Main issue was lack of air conditioning! A brand such as Hilton I expected more! You can have an air conditioned room at Premier inn!
No air conditioning
Our room was really good, comfortable bed & pillows, spacious room, lovely bathroom, nice towels & toiletries. Nice outside space to sit. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice It was rather warm in the bedroom as no aircon
We were satisfied with everything, it would have been nice to have aircon but we had two fans in the room. Reception staff was very nice, sorry I cant remember the name of the Man who checked us in, but he gave us a warm welcome with a smile & gave us delicious warm cookies to take to our room, Pedro in the bar was really nice with such a good sense of humour. Thank you to everyone
Fantastic family hotel with comfortable, clean rooms and a great location for visiting attractions in the vicinity. Friendly staff and nice environment. My kids particularly enjoyed the garden games and outside area to play - really nice during Summer for dinner and drinks in the evening - and want to return again soon!
Nothing
Lovely staff, room was perfect, got an upgrade
Nothing
Not a lot
Pool and gym was closed and we were warned about this!! No A/C either!!
The grounds are lovely and well kept
Swimming pool was shut very disappointing
Breakfast. Room was nice. Friendly with dog. Table tennis.
No air con in the room. No toilet brush in the room. Toilet paper dispenser was aligned wirdly so you pull the roll off when using. Would have been nice if the fountain was working.
We really enjoyed our overnight family trip in Doubletree Hilton St.Annes Manners friendly staffs nice and clean room specially (USA and Shrada) served us very well. We will see soon again
All the stsff were friendly anf helpful, especially in the restaurant
Disappointed that we had no air conditiong
From the reception offering us early check in to help us get a shower on a hot bank holiday weekend. To Dali the bar manager from Tunisia giving us an excellent and friendly service and giving us local recommendations for activities and a friendly service knowing our drinks and arranging for us to be able to eat on the beautiful patio out of houre so we could enjoy the sunset with beers and wine after a busy day at theme park with great table service. To the friendly restaurant staff and the complimentary breakfast which was delicious on the three mornings we used. Also the amazing food available in the restaurant for evening meal, the stunning grounds and public areas as well as clean and modern rooms with excellent toiletries and super staff throughout the property nothing was too much for them. Cant wait to go back again.
Everything was amazing
Very disappointed. After staying numerous times at this hotel, there is no longer air conditioning in the rooms and the pool and spa area is closed for good. The hotel is franchised, so I guess the owners are more worried about profit than guests comfort as they are also introducing a charge for car parking for guests! Staff are lovely
We had a 2 night stay and it was very nice. Good location as a short drive into the town which is really nice. Comfortable ground floor room with a lovely bathroom, excellent walk in shower and lovely complimentary shower gel, shampoo etc. kettle with tea/coffee, large TV and as the weather was exceptionally hot there was a fan in the room. Very good breakfast with plenty of choices. We did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on that. Staff are very nice, pleasant and friendly. It is disappointing that the spa closed as that would have been really nice to have. Plenty of parking spaces and electric charging points which were quite reasonably priced. Overall a good few days in a very nice hotel.
Location
The swimming pool and gym weren't open, we we not told this upon arrival, nor were we emailed to let us know. We chose this hotel for these specific facilities and would have stayed somewhere else had we known. It waz embarrassing walking through reception with our summing etire only to find this out last minute. Despite a member of staff saying it had been closed for a month.
Nice room, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style, with a good selection.
When we booked, we had asked for a room near the lift (because of mobility issues) but the room we were given was a long walk away. It was quickly changed, so problem was resolved.
Please accept my apology for the late review of the Hilton St Anne’s Manor in Wokingham for hosting my late mother’s ‘Celebration of Life’ on 24 October 2025. All the staff were wonderful from booking the event and for the extra nights I stayed to be with friends. We were calling ourselves the ‘Hilton Residents’ as I stayed two extra nights. The service we received from everyone was fantastic and this includes the booking/reception team, service teams - bar/waiter team and the hidden teams from the catering to domestic teams. A few ‘Big Thank You’ to the following members of staff who made everything extra special: – Viktoria Franku – Mareks Lazovskis – Dali Hammami – Dil Nepali The ‘Celebration of Life’ event was lovely and thank you for helping set up the memory table with a few special items in the conservatory, providing a gorgeous buffet and serving the Prosecco to help toast my mother’s life. Thank you for making this event special for me and looking forward to staying at Hilton hotels in the future.
