Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were spotless and well kept. Facilities were great. Proximity to the train station was exceptionally helpful.

Great, quiet location. The staff were lovely and helpful, the common areas of the hotel were in good knick, breakfast buffet was good, nice Rituals toiletries, free water on every floor. Comfortable bed for those of us with a bad back.

Bedroom decor is tired and the lighting is bad - bit depressing coming back to in the evening. Our TV didn't work, although it didn't bother us enough to contact reception. There was some noise late in the evening, unsure if it was another guest or something mechanical. A few more toiletries other than the basic shampoo, shower gel, hand soap would have been nice.

Room was clean, tidy and a nice size. I liked that the shower had an area at the end to dry off. Bar area is clean and stylish and the bar woman was friendly.

Staff are so rude. When we checked out, they didn't say a word to us or even acknowledge us. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. It is so hard! It is probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. At home our mattress isn't soft, it is firm so it's not like we're not used to a firm mattress but the mattress in our room was something else. I didn't get a lot of sleep as I was continuously moving around trying to get comfy. When I got up in the morning, my back was in a lot of pain and so were my ribs from laying on my sides.

Great location, within walking distance of Bristol’s Old Town, shopping area, Harbourside and lively pub streets. The room was surprisingly spacious, and we loved having so much room to relax after a day of exploring. The beds were very comfortable, and the late checkout was a much appreciated bonus. Overall, a great stay!

I found the carpet in the rooms to be quite tatty, the First Lady I dealt with was nice, but she read my room number and floor out when there was a group of men stood next to me. As a lone women that didn’t sit with me right. Alls that was needed to be said was here’s your key card, floor and number is written inside, there are directions on how to get to other floors on this wall here. It didn’t need to be announced. I found the staff in the breakfast buffet to be quite well, nosey. I felt like I was being watched the whole time.

Beautiful recently renovated rooms (we could chose which one to take when we arrive- hard choice) on top of a nice village pub. The place is run by a super friendly lady. Ideal for a stay close to beautiful Deal

De ligging is top.. 10 minuten lopen van het prachtige centrum. Hotel heeft een mooi ouderwetse stijl, goeie hygiëne en vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt was gewoon de standaard verwacht er niks bijzonders van.

Ik wilde 2 nachten langer blijven dat werd mij aangeboden voor iets meer dan wat ik gehaald had voor de 3 dagen dat ik er al zat.

The property is in a peaceful and quiet area. It’s has a very modern look about it.

Bathroom doesn’t close quite fully, there was a bit of gap which reduced privacy.

Always found staff at reception, ready to assist. Coffee at the in house cafe was really good. Car parking was ample and secure with comfortable entry/exit from within the premises. I also liked the water fountains near the elevators to fill drinking water. Especially helpful for thirsty sleepers during this hot spell!

Personnel très gentil et agréable. Hôtel très bien situé. Propre, confortable. Nous avions une chambre sur la rue, aucune gêne au niveau du bruit. Le petit déjeuner était compris dans notre formule : parfait car horaires larges (de 7h à 10h) énormément de choix et tout était très bon et en quantité suffisante pour que personne ne manque de ce qu'il a envie. Je me suis régalée avec l'english breakfast tandis que mes enfants ont adoré les multiples viennoiseries au Nutella. Nous y sommes restés 5 nuits, nous avons pu aller à Bath en 10 minutes de train, la gare est à 5 minutes à pieds de l'hôtel. La ville de Bristol est tres agréable et y circuler en vélo est un vrai plaisir. Le dernier soir nous avons mangé au restaurant de l'hôtel : prix très corrects et repas très bien. Possible de se garer le temps de décharger les bagages dans la contre allée de l'hôtel.

Venus en campervan, nous avons dû utiliser un des parkings très chers de la ville car le parking de l'hôtel est limité à 1,95m. (Je vous conseille le parking Portwall Lane, qui est grand, très proche de l'hôtel, sans limite de hauteur et sans limite de durée de stationnement). On ne nous a dit seulement le dernier jour qu'il y a une petite voie qui appartient à l'hôtel dans laquelle on aurait pu se garer. Dommage.

Our room was very comfortable.

The bathroom needs updating by removing the bath and installing a shower cubicle - this also increases the floor space. Climbing into the bath for a shower is unsafe for older people and for others with mobility issues or other disabilities.

During a recent business stay at Novotel Bristol Centre, my car window was smashed and £1,000 of personal belongings were stolen from their owned and managed on-site car park. The hotel's response was entirely unacceptable. I am a solo female traveler and was left stranded three hours from home during an extreme red heat warning. Front desk staff showed no empathy and offered zero refreshments or immediate assistance. The General Manager did not attend the car park until 1.5 hours after being notified. His solution was to sweep the floor and hand me a vacuum cleaner to clear out my own shattered glass. The manager later admitted this was the second vehicle break-in at the property this year, proving that the hotel tolerates crime rather than implementing active security deterrents. When escalating via email, the manager accidentally 'replied all' to me, describing my complaint as 'frustrating' before sending a generic apology template. Avoid this hotel if you travel with a vehicle or expect a basic duty of care.

The restaurant was very good - good food and served well. The bin in the room - great to see recycling section. Wonderful touch re the water machines reducing single use plastic.

A superior room is what I booked. The room did not meet my expectation. There were hairs in the sink, dirty marks on the curtains, the room was very basic, the carpey was thing and cheap, the corridor smelt of dirty hoover bags, where the carpet met the bathroom floor it was threadbare and was not secured properly, the shower head was pathetic.

A lovely warm welcome by the really friendly staff. This was my second visit of the year but this time it was with my eldest child as we were looking around the university. Great location for the open day and easy access to the train station just a few minutes walk away. Room lovely and clean. We had requested that the sofa bed be set up in advance by emailing the hotel and it was ace to see it all done when we arrived. Breakfast was good and it was lovely to see that they had taken on the feedback around the way that the cereals were displayed. We actually checked out and headed to the train station only to find all our trains were cancelled and at that point we had no other option but to rebook and stay another night The staff were friendly even though they were a bit bemused having just said bye. I was sad that the hotel removed our points for staying the first night it added to the frustration of having to change our plans. That said the second room was lovely and comfortable and it was great to have the mini fridge to keep our purchases in. We will most definitely stay here again

Sehr zentrale Lage. Ein Check in in der Nacht war möglich was uns sehr gelegen kam. Für eine Nacht absolut ausreichend.

Unser Zimmer war etwas merkwürdig aufgeteilt und hatte noch ein extra Bett mit drin. Der Herr beim Check in wirkte nicht sonderlich freundlich. Und bei den Türchen im Bad muss man seine Reisebegleitung wirklich sehr gut kennen denn Geräusche und Gerüche können nicht abgemildert werden 😂
