Well apointed Hotel as you should expect from a Hilton Hotel.

Some of the fittings in particularly the bathroom were a little tatty.

Staff were very friendly throughout.

Decor and general feel of the place was tired and dated. In addition we had a door in our room through to an interconnecting room. This was not sound proof so we could hear everything that the couple next door were doing and saying.

The reception area is very impressive. The room was very nicely decorated and very modern. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The bar and reception aircon was set too cold. We wanted to get a drink in the bar before we went out, but it was so cold, we didn't bother and went elsewhere. It was a bit noisy, some loud voices woke us on Sunday morning. Not sure if it was from another room or in the corridor. Not the hotel's fault, but Bristol loves a church bell on a Sunday morning. The hotel is right between two churches so it was quite loud if you're hoping for a Sunday lie-in. The car park charge is quite expensive (£20 for 24 hours - or £18 if you pay at reception)

Couldn’t have breakfast as not available until 7.00 am - too late. The location is good for catching the train and leaving your car in the paid car park

On arrival no welcome cookies. Asked about breakfast - not available. Asked about take away coffee cups told at the bar, bar staff didn’t have a clue eventually found small ones no lids asked for lids got big lids didn’t fit. During the night there was excessive noise including at 5.00 am a member of staff banged on the door opposite for over 10 mins trying to deliver a food order our sleep was disrupted badly. Not good enough. We have stayed several times before and this is the second time that there have been prostitutes openly in the hotel with large groups of men in attendance. On the booking in form you have to put names and address of all adults in the room - what would they have put see Adult work! Not suitable place if this is the norm if you have your children with you or just want a nice place to stay. We travelled to London for the day and were due to pick our car up at 9 that evening, due to a fire at Paddington trains were all delayed. We arrived back at 11.15 ish and enquired about staying another night to be met with no empathy and offered a high charge for a room considering we were returning etc. Not good enough, treating customers in this way does not encourage returns or anything else.

Room size and storage were good. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom was small and needed refurbishment. Water damage to the door was bad. The basin surround (?) Was cracked.

Staff good, hotel was ok but we had flys in our room even thou windows were shut. Told staff and they said they’d tell house keeping but the flys were there in the night so we slept through it and told them as we checked out.Staff did leave some balloons in the room as it was my partners bday,

Na vaně byly složené mokré ručníky, skleničky vedle vody měly otisky od rtěnky od předchozích hostů, v balení kapesníků byly pouze tři kousky.. Vybavení je staré, už zašlé, odlupuje se barva ,ze stropu, ze stěn.. ze skříněk se loupe dekor.. Postele jsou úzké cca 160cm.

It was clean and close to the railway station. Staff were nice but need training.

Rooms small dark and dingy. Toilet wouldn't flush and coffee machine didnt work. We are from Australia and quizzed a desk agent about where we could find a post office and shops the next day (Monday). He was helpful but neglected to tell us Monday was a bank holiday. We had to post a parcel home and spent $30 on ubers going to a post office that was shut. The rest of Britain knew it was a Bank Holiday, but not a Hilton desk clerk.

Hotel was really smart and well maintained. Great location. Breakfast was good. Aircon in the room was amazing, too good of anything we had to knock it off.

Didn’t like the chargeable car park. Room was pretty small. Didn’t sleep well on a soft mattress and pillows.

Just to note shower overflowed onto floor due to design, I'm sure this may cause issues with the flooring at some point

Filthy carpet in entrance, elevator. Staff were pleasant but didn’t go the extra distance. We arrived early evening after travelling all day and wanted advice regarding eateries etc nearby. “There are plenty “ was the response without any attempt to indicate the best area to visit. Shower was blocked so risked flooding the floor as well as being unhygienic.

The location was superb. Very friendly reception staff with the added bonus of warm cookies on arrival. Lovely breakfast in a great setting.

Second stay here, nice sized rooms, friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast options. Will continue to use this hotel for future visits to Bristol.

Only downside is that the rooms would benefit from having a small refrigerator.

Good location if travelling by train to Temple Meads, just a 5 minute walk away and then only a 10 minute walk to get into the centre. Breakfast very good.

Maybe a few more vegetarian options for breakfast.

The shower flooded resulted in not being able to use it. The food wasn’t great either. The one staff member was extremely short with us also. We’ve took pictures and videos for proof.

Always stay here when we go to Bristol to see a gig as its near the Fleece. Rooms are always clean & staff friendly. Plus the cookies they give you when you check in are lovely.

Always book breakfast and normally its great, always have cereal then a cooked breakfast but didn't this morning. Normally they have cornflakes or rice crispys as well as bran flakes, muesli but this morning it was bran flakes, muesli & granola none of which i like or my husband. So please can you go back to have a normal cereal alternative too please for people who don't eat bird seed or nutritionally.

It was a really convenient location very close to harbourside, clean and tidy, friendly staff, comfy room. Bathroom modern and good shower with lots of nice toiletries provided. Parking available outside. Free warm cookie on arrival was delicious! Quiet room and we would stay here again.

There’s lots of parking available on site, however we turned up at 7pm Friday evening and there were no spaces left, so we had to park over the road and move over the next day when we saw a space. However it was the Balloon Fiesta weekend so I imagine it is normally okay to find a space! Also we had a lovely church view room, however the window wasn’t very clean so the view wasn’t very clear and ruined a little.

The hotel staff were very nice, polite and helpful. The room bathroom was nice and it was nice to have tea and coffee. The hotel was clean and the bar was nice with a good range of drinks and snacks. The hotel location was really good

The pillows were very soft and not very supportive for my neck.

There wasn’t a toilet brush in the bathroom and the flush was poor.

The rooms are a good size and we stayed during a heatwave and the AC was perfect at keeping the room cool. The breakfast selection is excellent. We ate in the bar and enjoyed the selection available. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.

There are two lifts and one was out of action for the 4 nights we stayed. It's a busy hotel, so it means waiting on the lift for longer than you would expect. I'm sure Doubletree Hilton would agree that guests in a hotel of this size and rating wouldn't expect half the lifts to be unusable for that length of time.

Warm welcome by the staff who we had a bit of banter with. Location was great for our needs. Breakfast was good and room was comfortable with everything we needed.

Während meines Aufenthaltes hatte ich 2 verschiedene Zimmer. Im ersten Zimmer war der Teppich sehr schmutzig. Sitze im Frühstücksraum mit Klebeband zusammengeklebt und Abdeckung von Sitzbank hing lose herunter. Alles wirkte abgenutzt.

The room and location were great. Best of all were the staff - Melinda at the reception desk went above and beyond to help us. She was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

One of the shower heads didn't have very cold water but the other shower head did so it wasn't an issue.

Very convenient for our Bristol trip… So accommodating when checking in Melina was amazing

Lifts were out of order, one working one was so small and slow, it took forever to take luggage to our rooms and to check out, not even at peak times. The aircon didn’t work properly, which in the current heat was less than ideal.

Easy to find and within walking distance to everything you need. The bed was massive and very comfortable, had a great nights sleep. The breakfast in the kiln restaurant was also very good.

Lack of sound proofing, hearing people in the corridor when trying to rest, hearing people outside when the window was closed. The lift was very small especially when you have luggage. The prices in the bar where high considering the options weren’t premium. E.G £14 for one glass of prosecco. Whilst there weren’t any major issues with our stay, a friend was also staying and when checking in was given the key card to a room which someone else was already staying in, which she walked into alone, which is a safety issue and probably the one thing you never expect to happen at a hotel.

Rooms were excellent and quiet. I had booked 3 rooms to accommodate family celebrating my son's 30th birthday. The staff were so helpful giving me early access to his room to decorate it, and gave him complimentary chocolates amd bar drinks. They were also very flexible with the car park stay. Everyone was polite and helpful.

A very enjoyable spa break with a friend. The hotel and spa were great, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everywhere was clean and tidy, room and beds comfortable, found was good. Would definitely stay again x

Check-in experience dire. We needed a quick check-in having been delayed on the motorway and needing to go out almost straight away. There were only 2 people on the desk - one completely occupied on the phone, apparently dealing with an invoice whilst 9 people were queuing for attention. On our 2nd day we went out at noon and returned after 3pm expecting to be able to rest & shower before going out again - only to find the room hadn't been serviced. When the woman tasked with the job finally turned up she was clearly stressed - presumably there was a shortage of staff. At my request she handed me clean towels, toilet rolls and tea/coffee/milk sachets but had no clean cups. For a stay costing several hundred pounds we washed our own cups and lived with the bins overflowing! To give him his due, the receptionist at check-out took the wine we had had the previous night off the bill by way of compensation (we hadn't asked for that so the gesture was appreciated). However, the whole experience left a lot to be desired - including the fact that only one lift (of 2) was operational the whole time we were there - so long waits had to be factored in to leaving times for various events. It was lovely to have aircon during a heatwave - but the whole hotel could have been several degrees warmer and still comfortable rather than adding to the problems of global warming by cranking the temperature quite so low!

Handy location next to Temple Meads & quiet. Air con in the room much appreciated in the heatwave! Clean and comfortable. Luggage storage before check in was helpful.

Too many road closures hard to get to by car

Staff are polite and helpful at this hotel and I've stayed many times. It's looking a bit tired and out of the 2 lifts, one was out of service the 4 nights I stayed there and the other lift broke down for a time before being fixed. The room was a superior room but there was a smell of damp as the upstairs room had either had a leak or the bath had overflowed so the plaster was coming away from the ceiling. Breakfast was good as usual and as I said before the staff are really good. I think it's time the owners carried out some essential maintenance and got the paint brush out
