Conveniently located.
Valet parking was not pleasant. No choice for alternative parking.
We liked the location and the room size.
The room was not clean. I had to clean the bathroom floors because I found hair and dirt. The pool could have also been cleaner. There was a weird smell when the area is accessed.
Location was great for us
The valet parking charge that we weren’t aware of beforehand and hadn’t factored in
Great room, excellent location.
I think you should serve breakfast in your restaurant. I know you have the buffet but some people can’t eat that much food for that price.
Great home base for a bachelorette weekend
Everything is right there. Super close to everything you need.
Love the rooms and it’s a great location. A very nice hotel.
Parking is difficult.
Location.
Nothing.
The quietness of the hotel and very clean
Nothing bad to report:)
Love the vibe of the property. The steakhouse service was amazing sat in the bar and had Ann as a bartender. She was amazing.
The Landshark restaurant had terrible service - super slow to get drinks or even have the server come back
Large stain on carpet, bar sink had big sign “do not use”, didn’t realize there was a $40 a day fee for parking 😬
The room was great! The breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff was friendly. We will be back! Thank you.
The pillows were too soft and there was no support.
Close proximity to everything
Rooms decor
Pool
The property was in a great location and the staff was very friendly.
The property was not very modern or clean. There were stains on everything. Amenities were below average, including advertised “smart” tvs that were not able to get anything but a few channels. Food options were incredibly expensive for very low quality.
We loved the location, cleanliness, and price of the hotel!
The staff (especially the valet) were not very nice/helpful.
I really liked the decor, the large ultra clean rooms with super comfortable king size bed!i also appreciated the big bathroom!!!! I loved real plants in the atrium and the piped in music.
We didn’t like paying $40 per day for parking…$20 is much more reasonable!
Rooms. Eating choices. Bar Choices.
Valet fee $40 day. No other choice.
The location was very convenient
N/A
Expensive parking. No food credit when booked through you.
Great location
Dogs, of all sizes are allowed.
Is a nice place, very close to everything
They should include the valet parking fee in the overall price instead of charging it as an additional service, since valet parking is mandatory and not optional.
The overall resort feel of a classy yet relaxed atmosphere
The shower water pressure was the worst part and the fact that you now have to pay for breakfast
Proximity to other places in Stateline
Expensive valet parking
Fantastic location. Middle of all the action
Pleasant atmosphere and good location to shops and restaurants
$50 per night parking is absolutely ridiculous!!! All hotels should rethink this act of greed. My goodness. They don’t have any tv apps like Netflix
Very nice and loved the colors!!!
Did not like the valet service!! Like to be able to get my car and go whenever!!!
Location is great
Room was dirty. Like the floor was never cleaned.
coffee cups in room were not clean - lipstick marks on cups 1 wash cloth for 2 people for 2 day stay TV - couldn't get chromecast to connect; should have streaming service app to click (netflix, prime etc) shower stationary glass door by faucets - had to lean into and get wet to adjust temp floors were not super clean
Beautiful. Close to the lake. Loved the pool. Very nice and relaxing.
Great location. We were able to get a last minute booking after the Marriott next door canceled our rooms the day before we were to arrive in Tahoe. Very friendly and helpful staff! We will be back!
There was nothing to not like about this property!
Great location, clean, friendly staff,
Valet parking should be free, no microwave and no complimentary breakfast
Our room was great!
The pillows
Loved the location. Being able to walk to food and shops and beach if you like that part of the beach. The vibes were great inside. Felt like you were at a resort.
Wished the pool was outside, would be great for summer but understand not great for winter. Pretty noisy so don’t book if you want a quiet vibe.
Clean. Centrally located. Customer service was amazing!!! They treated us well while celebrating a big birthday!
Everything! Including near by shopping. Reasonable parking fees.
Loved the activity and lively nature of hotel with music, lighting, Wished they included breakfast as they did in the past when we stayed there before Wish they had self park so did not have to pay $50 a day to park Rooms very nice but bed too firm for myself and husband. Overall very nice and housekeeping was available when needed.

they did not take cash
Spacious, clean and quiet rooms. Walking distance to so many things to do. Restaurants, casinos, shops, gondolas, the lake, hiking. Great spot.
The Landshark restaurant. The food and service. Not good.
The resort is located on the CA/NV border and there are opportunities for nightlife (casinos and live entertainment) on the NV side and restaurants and shopping on the CA side. The resort rooms and amenities are excellent. We took advantage of free "Lake Link" shuttle service that picks up at the Harrah's casino next door to the Round Hill Pines beach in the evening to watch the sunsets. There's a grill and tiki bar on the beach and an incredible view of the sunset.
Service at the outdoor Landshark Grill & Bar was poor and the small market/coffee shop didn't open till 7am despite posted hours being 6am-on. I got the feeling that staffing was being minimized.

Location was great
The pool was not clean and the water made the clothes sting really bad afterwards including the towls they provided
Location, self laundry facilities, nice staff and service. Beds are comfortable and clean.
Amenities in the room could be replaced and be cleaner. The soap and shampoo for the shower really stinks because of the plastic after so many fillings, and the water flow was very poor .the hotel must take care of the scale.. water was very slow in shower. Some places in the toilet were not clean even in the walls and the shower curtain.
Staff and everything clean it was good 👍
Don't have breakfast
Clean, lively
Parking situation, no self parking available
taille de la chambre avec petit salon , très agréable belle salle de bain
parking valet obligatoire , très cher et on attend . piscine froide et pas agréable personnel moyennement aimable restaurant pour diner - service déplorable , à fuir - et trop cher !!
Location, the beach vibe and the amenities
The cook at the omelette station was super rude! Plus forced valet.
Everything was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly. Had all the amenities. Literally on the state line so you could walk outside and go into the casinos or just walk around the shops at Heavenly. Also had Dole whip ice cream on site 😁
I'm not big on Valet parking so having to pay that was about the worst thing for me but honestly the cost wasn't bad and they made it very easy to be able to get your vehicle or just to retrieve things from your vehicle.
Beaucoup trop cher pour un hôtel qui ressemble plus à un camping Piscine immonde inaccessible tellement l odeur de javel est forte. Très impersonnel Personnel inexistant
Espaço do quarto
Hotel mto barulhento, mta musica alta e na sala falta um sofa cama bom
Location and cleanliness.
The $50 resort fee and finding out AFTER the fact there was a $50 a day charge for valet, since they DO NOT HAVE a self parking area/garage--but can park all the guests cars?
Location makes it convenient to walk to establishments. Clean and comfortable bedding. Love having a mini fridge!
Location
Clean and nice staff!
Nice layout . Clean room , comfy bed . Housecleaning did a good job , breakfast buffet was good
The furniture was uncomfortable in living room .
the room setting is great. it is quite stylish
wifi connection is so so, and there is only velet parking option for you, no alternatives.
This location is great. On the California side and right next door is Nevada and the casinos. Lots of shopping near by and many restaurants.
There was some sort of "emergency " alarm and we had to evacuate by the stairs. My husband isnt very mobile and has the need to ride a mobility scooter. It was very difficult for him to maneuver the stairs. Partway thru our decent, the emergency was called off. There should be some other way for disabled people to evacuate.
Over all stay
In room things. They didn’t provide even a bottle of water in the fridge
What an amazing hotel! With the vibrant colors and excellent customer service, the hotel excelled in everything! Loved the vallet service, and the front desk staff, they have an excellent team on hand.
Location was great and so was the staff . Went there for our anniversary and the surprise is with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our room . They also upgraded us for free to a balcony room over looking the strip .
My only complaint would be is I wish they showed you all the fees up front .
The hidden fees shame on the property and booking dot com mandatory valet etc
Good location. Resort vibes. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
I had my infant on the reservation so that I can look for hotel rooms that have cribs. My request for the crib was also approved. There was no charges mentioned anywhere about it. But when I checked in, first they told me that they don’t have cribs and only have pack n plays. I was OK with that and then she proceeded to tell me that it is a $25 per night charge for the pack and play. This is absurd because I travel a lot and and I have never been asked for payments for the cribs. Also, there was nowhere mentioned that I would have to be paying an extra for a crib/pack and play. They did waive the fee, but it was very frustrating. It’s not about the money but about the principle of the matter. This was the only glitch on an otherwise good stay .
I always enjoy staying at Margaritaville. It is an amazing hotel. I especially like relaxing in the indoor pool late at night. The front desk staff was great, and the valet service was fast. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I will be back in two weeks.
We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was great, and everything exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again!
I love this place ❤️
We had a wonderful stay at Margaritaville Lake Tahoe! The customer service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The valet service was also outstanding—fast, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and everything met our expectations. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
Check in required my wife to physically present her ID since she had made the reservation. She was at the car getting the luggage and dog organized to send to the room. I went out, got her iD only to be told she had to be physically present for me (us) to check in. Getting her to come to the reservation desk was difficult and a huge and unnecesary inconvenience. Everyone complains about the $50 valet parking charge, and the $75 resort fee--both exampes of just how out of control these add-on costs have become. Margaritaville has adopted the worst of cruise ship marketing ploys--a la carte pricing. The room is cheap--$281, but by the time you're checking out, the parking, resort fee, pet fee put you at more than double what you expected. These charges are clearly stated on their web site if you seek them out. If you don't, you find out the hard way. Not enough staff. At the bar, the lone bartender applogized for a long wait because she had just gotten an order for 8 people. Somehow that doesn't seem like an overwhelming order for a large hotel bar. They should have had another bartender. Also, we sat at a table outside the bar, and a server came over. I said we'd just like drinks. She began some kind of awkward prepared script saying we had to be offered food if we were to be served drinks. Another round of officious, hide-bound rules and policies in this supposed haven for laid back, let-it-all-hang-out coolness. They will sucker people in once, but guests won't return. People don't like to be duped and deceived. It's a cute marketing strategy that's getting screwed up by deceptive pricing and execution. I won't be back.
We had a wonderful stay at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. The location is ideal as it is right in the heart of all the South Shore attractions. The resort was very clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. We can’t wait for our next visit!
I wouldn’t come back
I wouldn’t come back
Its right in the center of the city, so i would say very convenient and kids friendly.
The swimming pool was a bit dirty. Talking about the room amenities there were tea and coffee capsules but no sugar/creamer/stirrer. Also we paid almost $700 plus $100 parking fee for 2 nights whereas my friends who stayed for same 2 nights with 2 kids paid only $500. So i don’t understand how the prices differ drastically!
Location was nice to for walking to lake , shopping and restaurants.
The $50 price for parking fee for vehicle at resort. Price went higher from the tie I booked the trip to the day we arrived.
The beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable, when they cook breakfast EVERY hotel room smells like burnt grease, there is a $57 per day resort fee and it really shouldn’t be considered a resort, the AC only works if you wave your hand in front of the thermostat because it uses old motion detection technology. We broiled in our room it was so hot. This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. Don’t make the same mistake we made.
The best thing about Margaritaville is the location - it's directly in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a minute (or less!) walk to either Harrah's or Caesar's. The staff is incredibly helpful, happy, and wiling to go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Awesome staff! This hotel is dated. The interior feels like an old Embassy Suites. The pool and hot tub smelled like dirty feet, and consequently, rendered our swimsuits smelly, so much so that the smell permeated throughout the bathroom in the room. The rooms are OK. Beds were decently comfortable, but the bathrooms need some attention. The water pressure in the shower was a notch above a trickle and the shower curtain was yellowing, reminiscent of a college apartment shower curtain. I have no clue what the $50 resort fee gives you. The pool sucks and the breakfast is not included. I would choose a different hotel next time I'm in South Lake Tahoe.
Convenient
Nice and clean
The room was clean and comfortable.
I was on the 4th floor and I could hear music playing all night
Great hotel, overpriced, overrated
the price
Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good; however full price was not disclosed until I checked out and discovered an additional $14 dollars tax and gratuity had been added in.
When i booked the hotel, it stated: Parking available on site. What happened when we arrived was that we couldn't park our car, but had to use valet parking for which we were charged an additional $50 a day. The first night the smoke alarm flashed every 3 to 10 seconds all night long lighting up the room like lightning! The next morning, the maintenance man came and replaced the battery, which was not the problem (according to the internet, the smoke detector needed to be replaced) so he removed the smoke detector so that we could have at least 2 nights of good sleep.
That it was pet friendly and close to the lake
We asked for towels several times and never got towels. Our fridge didn’t work. It smelled like chlorine. Breakfast was expensive and the breakfast tasted like plastic. every time I try to talk to a person in front it took like 20 minutes. Val-let took forever. It was terrible.
Size of the rooms was fantastic.
Extortionate rate for the parking. Not able to self park.
Parking situation is horrible and overpriced
Carpet needed cleaning. Food overpriced in hotel. For same price , could have stayed at Ballys
Friendly staff, everything was awesome, from the valets to the house keeping staff and they accepts dogs....YES...!!
Valet price - $50.00.
Friendly staff, valet parking and concierge services, ease of check-in, room size, amenities, on site restaurants and bar, close to everything we love to do
Liked the main lobby appearances but they Overcharge and kept charging my card. Didn’t disclose Incidentals and had blocked drain from first night the shower was blocked. They didn’t do anything when told the receptionist and the next morning they won’t aware about it. They also kept charging my credit card after without asking and didn’t disclose why. They made up fee’s on check out and costs that don’t relate. Accommodation fee’

Paying for parking my car $$$
We stayed at the Margaritaville in Lake Tahoe as part of our trip, and we had a wonderful time. It’s a very beautiful hotel that offers excellent value for the money. The absolute highlight for us was the room itself—these were by far the most comfortable beds and pillows we had on our entire trip! The layout worked perfectly for our family; the adults had the separate master bedroom, while the kids slept comfortably on the pull-out sofa in the living room. The shower was large and great, and having double sinks was super convenient. The room also came with a mini-fridge, a safe, and good, stable Wi-Fi. The elevators in the building are also pleasantly fast. The amenities are great. There’s a really nice indoor heated pool (the water is a very pleasant 30°C / 86°F) with a jacuzzi, and an outdoor patio right next to it where you can sunbathe or just relax. If you need to do laundry on your trip, there are high-quality machines on the 8th and 9th floors. They are credit card operated and a bit on the pricey side ($5.50 per wash and $4.00 to dry), but they work very well. A few things to note: The parking is valet-only. The staff is super friendly, though occasionally I had to wait about 5 minutes for the car to be brought around. Also, the room comes with a $25 daily resort credit—it's a fun little gimmick designed to encourage you to eat at the hotel, but still a nice perk. The location of the hotel is reasonable and served us well.
Good location. Name recognition. I expected good, near high end accommodations, especially for the price they were charging for a basic room. This was a former embassy suites hotel. They did very minimal changes to transform to a Margaritaville hotel. It was old, the rooms were very small and dated. Very very overpriced for what we got. Highly disappointed. Staff, however, were friendly and considerate.
Rooms were small. The hotel was old. It was overpriced and just banking on the margaritaville name. There are better choices.
The location was perfect. Restaurants were good.
The valet is good but have to plan some extra time before getting the car.
nice clean property, big rooms with good location
all good
Nothing.
Everything. It’s dirty, loud, smelly, disorganized, and absurdly expensive for what it is.
Amazing location Staff was so nice and helpful
A little pricey
Wonderful spot
My daughter hit her head and got a large scrape from a sign by valet, zero compensation for it.
We loved the hotel, the space, how clean and quiet it was, and how helpful the staff was.
The chlorine in the pool was too strong, I couldn’t use the pool.
Everything was really nice. The whole atmosphere is both exciting and relaxing at the same time. Very comfortable. Lots to do with a couple of restaurants, a coffee shop and bar in the hotel. Walking distance to loads of restaurants, shops and entertainment. Walking distance to the lake but also a free shuttle that can take you to other beach/marina locations as well as more shopping and entertainment opportunities. The list goes on and on. I can't see how anyone would not enjoy their stay at Margaritaville Resort at Lake Tahoe.
Nothing to dislike.
meals are expensive. Music was too loud. We could hear it in our room
Great location, store and buffet! Nice music performances in the lobby and check in cookies. Rooms were good!
The valet parking changed us 40 dollars per day and also charged for checking the car out! Would park at the city lots next time.
Very clean, rooms are nice. Central to everything
There was this strange tapping noise at night which made it difficult to sleep. However it was not constant but would occur. Could have been a bird not sure
Very clean. Bfast was was good.
I HATE RESORT FEES !!!! Rediculous !!!! A total rip off
The room was exceptionally spacious for my wife and I.
The car parking situation is valet only $45 a day so factor that in to your cost and a resort fee of $50 a day.
