Good price and location

Location is amazing! Brewpub with a beer garden right in the middle of the hotel courtyard. All sorts of activities right on site!
Could have used another chair in the room. Shower head was pretty clogged.
Hot tubs and onsite breakfast cafe
Nothing
I like how close it was to heavenly village
A bit out dated. Rooms and bathrooms.
Very comfortable nice and clean The staff very nice.
We just realized the room no air condition and our fan not working we need to ask for new one.
How close it is
Nothing it was perfect
The pillows were comfortable. The staff at the desk was friendly
Room wasn't very clean. An extra portable AC was being stored in our room. We were facing the courtyard with loud music and flashing green lights. Going from car to room we got to enjoy the fragrant trash bins. We had to plug phones in by the door and unplug a light for the CPap machine....And the icing on the cake was having a man open our door more than an hour before checkout trying to empty our trash while my husband was in the shower. We were given a free coffee for our troubles...

The location to the concert venue
Loud. People letting kids run up and down hallways and slamming doors.
Cute and close to the casinos. Voucher to make the lake entry cheaper. We had a problem with the fire alarm in our room and they upgraded us immediately. Staff was so nice.
Super friendly and helpful staff. The beds are super comfortable! Coffee shop in the lobby has great coffee and food.
Nothing. If I had to complain I didn’t love the smell of the provided soaps. But they fit the basecamp theme. Truly no complaints.
Great location awesome brewery and coffee shop
No complaints just wish we had a ground level room no big deal
Great location!
Garbage trucks emptied dumpster at 630a.
The staff was friendly and the location was terrific. The beer garden behind the motel served great beer and featured a decent menu. Basecamp serves an outdoors oriented clientele well.
They seem a bit disorganized. On our arrival, the room wasn’t stocked with towels and the faucet needed to be reattached. We walked to the nearest beach which is private and learned that we should have received passes from the front desk.
The decor, the staff, the location, easy access to the lake
No shampoo or conditioner, the parking was very tight and the rooftop hot tub was out of order, ping pong table was broken, no fires in the firepits
Great location. Friendly staff. Yummy breakfast (not included but great quality at a good price.
The main AC was broken and the roll away one was a bit loud. But it wasn’t bad.
The location.
Staff not helpful, room old and baseboards very dirty. No guaranteed parking because random people park on the hotels guest parking. Staff did nothing to help with this. The a/c unit was a joke. It was like once they had their money they could care less about making my stay a good one. Overpriced for what I received. I would never stay there again. I would recommend others look elsewhere to spend their hard earned money. STAY AWAY!.

Location to the lake and casino. Parking
Seems worn out. Lights didn’t work in room and needed a subscription to watch tv
Location, cleanliness, and simplicity. Also the fact that the room i stayed in (246), was able to sleep peacefully with a baby while the live music was playing right by.
The bed. Too soft. Body ache a little due to being sunken in cause of the softness.
The location.
The facility is very old there was a constant smell of pot on the balcony and a portable AC in the room that was leaking water onto the carpet. The shower is TINY and only stairs to the third floor.
Location to the Amphitheater
Lack of charging station for electric vehicles
Customer service was great! Great location, good price.
Room could be cleaner. There were random stains everywhere 🤮
Proximity to everything in South Lake. Rooms were clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Loved there was a local coffee shop and breakfast amenities there as well as an option to enjoy music and beers at the local brewery/beer garden.
Had challenges getting the TV in the room to function and our toilet was a bit clogged/disfunctioning. We weren't hassled enough to call for help but would have been better if ensured at arrival.
I didn't like the coffee in the room
I was bummed we did not have view of lake
I stayed here years ago and had such a positive experience that I decided to come back. The location is still fantastic, and I enjoyed the unique theme and atmosphere of the property. We especially loved roasting marshmallows in the evening and listening to local musicians perform in the courtyard.
Unfortunately, I could tell that the cleanliness and overall condition of the rooms have declined since my previous stay. There was visible dirt and grime along the baseboards, the bathroom door was noticeably deteriorated at the bottom, and the floors creaked significantly when walking around the room. The shower was quite small, and the overall room felt like it was trying to strike a balance between vintage and updated, but unfortunately leaned more toward old and dingy than charming. The room was clean enough that we were comfortable staying there, but the property would greatly benefit from some renovations and a very thorough deep cleaning before the wear and tear become more serious. While we still enjoyed parts of our stay, particularly the location and courtyard atmosphere, we would not choose to stay here again.
Great location and overall atmosphere
Everything was perfect the beds were super comfy and thats something I look for because I have back issues and they had an AC and a celling fan and they both worked super well it was a perfect room and perfect area to be around
Found our stay to be disappointing. There is a sharp high pitched squealing noise that happened when we heard a neighbors shower turn on. We could hear people walking above us at 5am and a squeaky floor below us as we walked throughput the room. There was a dog next door that was barking as well. Tiny shower and small tv, balcony room overlooks the parking lot. The covered lot is one way in and one way out so you have to back out every time. We frequently stay in Tahoe... comfort and customer care are important to us. It felt very absent here. Very disappointing.
The location
The room had a weird smell
Convenient location
Some of the exterior stairs and seating areas weren’t very clean. Still enjoyed our stay!
Location. Close to the beach and restaurants
There were bedbugs. We all woke up to multiple bites. There were visible dirt/hand/foot/shoe prints under the upper bed bunks. There was a strange smell in the hallways in the evening (from the brewery?). The ceiling fan was broken. Slow response from staff, though they were all nice.
The young lady working at the front desk was definitely the nicest employee! She made me feel welcomed right away. The outside accommodation, hot tub, fire pit, pool table, free cocktails during happy hour. Parking is definitely a plus! It’s free and convenient to your room. Walking to casino & restaurants & entertainment was right there around the corner. That’s uncommon in Tahoe. Was great for the family, we had multiple rooms. Kid and adult friendly!
There’s nothing they can do about it but the room was super small. The room was clean and comfortable that’s the most important thing. They should invest in a better shower head but besides that it was lovely and will be back
Value and location. The very accommodating & helpful staff, Cameron, was a big bonus.
Nothing. The accommodation met our needs.
Location was perfect, Stateline walking distance. Very appropriate for families, a lot to do.
Staff was so incredibly helpful and polite. Rooms were clean. Having a coffee shop and tap house on site was amazing! Walking distance to the water and to the main shops. 10/10
Location was good. Walking distance to casino and heavenly village was very easy! Beer garden on site gave it a friendly vibe! Live music was also great! As a added bonus , the hotel provided a handy guide with recommendations on everything from hiking trains, restaurants, beaches etc
Add chairs to the room. Only having a desk chair and a bed is not sufficient seating!!! Thankfully we had a balcony with 2 chairs to use. If it had been snowing we would only have the bed to sit on! Not comfortable to drink your morning coffee on!!
Its clean and quiet
The Beer Olympics were held on Sunday afternoon! We travel from Sacramento to see them so that doesn't leave us much time to stay and watch. Please move them to Saturday afternoon! Otherwise great spot, great location.
Location was great
The room was freezing Because it has a window ac unit, it was letting all the cold air in and it was in the 30’s. Also bed was not comfortable
I dont get why some families have rated this highly. The small pool and hot tub were dirty. The room was small, kind of dingy, and the shower was super small with a shower head that was completely not adjustable. After a hard day navigating South Lake Tahoe, it didn't provide a relaxing shower experience. We had 2 queens and they were not particularly comfortable for 2 adults in one bed. I felt the service was OK, but nothing special. Orange juice at the little coffee shop was $9 before tax and tip for a 16 oz. I know we're in trumpflation times, but this was kind of nuts. No other offerings for juices for the kids, except more expensive juice mixes. Some of the images on the hotel profile are misleading and ought to be removed. The center area for hanging out and games is not green grass, but wood chips. It didn't feel well kept and didnt have much for kids. Overall, the premise felt a little worn and tired. We stayed in a second floor room and there was some weird, unpleasant smell in our hallway. There isn't close, walkable access to public beaches, but you can pay 10$ a person to go to the one closest. So if you want to stay here for good beach access, there might be better places to stay. The best thing about it was there were ev chargers on site.
Cozy
Quiet friendly.
The staff was so kind and the overall experience was more than inviting!
wall heater, electric pot for hot drinks, outdoor fireplaces everywhere, onsite food, easy walk to casinos and other good food. Blueberry muffin onsite was very good. Great food and friendly staff at the onsite public pub/brewery.
Everything
Nothing
I liked the location. The bed was very comfortable. The room was overall well put together. We loved the deck.
The shower head did leak sideways outside the shower onto the floor if it wasnt positioned correctly and the door condensation leaked onto the floor so the bathroom floor was pretty soaked after our showers.
Everything. Was great
Nothing
Base camp has been amazing they are very warm welcoming helpful for gentlemen and the coffee and and the back door area of the challenges were yummy and and I really like Basecamp
Location and back yard brews
Nats near bathroom/fridge
The location, how nice the staff was & the hotel itself was cute
Our bed had random hair in the sheets and pillows, the carpet was not cleaned and also the bed we stayed in was not comfortable like the other ones we’ve stayed in at Basecamp. I have stayed here a few times with no complaints, however this last visit wasn’t like my previous ones.
Loved the location. Walking distance to all our activities.
Property was clean and quiet. Staff was excellent. Pleasant and helpful!
Front desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Liked the balcony.
Parking was tight.
Love the hot tubs and the views; one on the balcony. Amazing location! We could walk right into the back door of Caesars and be one with all.
It is an older motel turned into a hotel. But let’s just say they did an amazing job!
Friendly staff, great location.
Super close to everything.
No smart TV. And wifi was very jumpy
Walking distance to everything.
I have no complaints.
Loved the location

it's my 3rd time staying at Basecamp and once again I was very impressed with my stay! special shout out to Cameron for helping me during my stay and making my check in smooth and seamless! my stay was perfect!
it would be great to have a microwave it the lobby for guests to use. I do want to mention though, that the staff are more than welcome to heat your food in the microwave in the back kitchen / office :)
Everything! Second visit!
The team was incredibly helpful, we had an issue with our parking and the team was super responsive, flexible and very supportive. This made a huge difference in our trip.
It's the second time I have stayed here and I find it great value. Rooms are comfy, brewery is an added bonus, easy walk to all the town has to offer. A little bit of a walk to the gondola in ski boots but I have never found it an issue. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, good facilities, friendly staff phenomenal price
Amazing hotel. Maddie is awesome. Such lovely vibes. Thank you so much
In a good spot and free parking
Loved the hospitality of the staff! We did a girls trip for a friends birthday and reserved a family room that has bunk beds. The gentleman at check in was super nice and helped us out, as we were going to the Knight Monsters game and had a friend showing up late. Then in the morning, checking out the lady gave me a cute metal coffee mug for my friends birthday present. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Brewery on site and fire pits are so relaxing to hang out at in the cold weather. We will for sure be back. One black from State Line and easy to walk everywhere.
The heater was broken/ i froze my ass off.
The location and how near it was to many exciting things we wanted to enjoy and explore.
It was all good. Only thing was the 🛌 bed as it made my back hurt a bit waking up each night.
The on-site café offered excellent breakfast options, and the presence of a local brewery on the property was a strong added value. The brewery featured a good selection of beers, with food that was both enjoyable and reasonably priced. The hotel’s location is a major asset—situated directly across from Heavenly Village and on the state line, it provides easy, walkable access to nearby shops and restaurants.
Nothing to dislike. The place was clean, warm, had good food, and great location. Price was also reasonable. Highly recommend.
It was a little older facility but they have done the best they can to keep it up
It felt like we were in cabins and it was so relaxing and such a fun atmosphere.
There wasn't an elevator to the upper floors.
Clean, close to everything and friendly staff.
Been staying at Basecamp for three years (since we found this groovy place). Every time is magical, but this past stay was beyond magical! Madie made our stay extra special. My daughter was given the royal treatment for her special bday! All the staff including maintenance were happy and most accommodating. We never want to leave this place!
