The overall vibe, waterfront view and the staff
I was unfortunate as someone next door decided to make a lot of noise in the middle of the night, unfortunately it wasn’t possible to shut them up but the hotel was more than fair when I spoke to them the next morning
Room View is breathtaking
Really good location for a San Francisco trip without spending San Francisco prices on Hotels will be coming back
Milton at the front desk went above and beyond to provide a great guest experience. This was a last second booking because the hotel I originally booked couldn't check me in because their system was down. I was exhausted and irritated from a lot of driving but Milton made me feel right at home. It took a while for my reservation to pop up on his end but he was so patient. He even made sure to put us in a quiet room so I could get better rest. Thank you so much!!
Very good service, kind employees and clean rooms, would recommend.
Excellent (except for pillows - they need to be replaced - not comfortable - - but beds were very very comfy).
The room and the view were great, the evening food service was below average and ridiculously expensive for what it was....
It was a nice hotel overlooking the marina
Guest where mostly ghetto and noisy lowed but you are in Oakland could not expect any thing more just was hard to sleep with people causing a commotion to keep everyone up
Clean and very personal
Kim is always willing to help. Explains all amenities and go out of her way to help when needed. Very professional and should be a Manager.
Quick but amazing stay, I wish I were here for longer. Milton Davis at the front desk really put the cherry on top. A ray of sunshine, making me feel so warmly welcomed after such a long trip.
We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, smelled fresh, and was very spacious. We also loved the beautiful sunset view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The breakfast was good, and overall, this hotel offers great value for the money. The only minor downside was that the air conditioner seemed a bit old and made some noise while running. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay and one we’d gladly consider again
I love this property right on the water and the staff is amazing

Location
Well maintained and friendly staff
On the water was beautiful
The property itself would need a bit of refurbishing. However, it is equipped with the necessary to have a comfortable stay. There is a bus line in front of the inn that brings you to Oakland.
The area is not the best one.
Nice view clean rooms
Staff was rude.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I walked into Executive Inn & Suites, Milton Davis made me feel genuinely welcome. His customer service was exceptional! He was professional, friendly, and incredibly informative, making sure I knew everything I needed about my stay. He answered my questions with patience and had such a positive attitude. The best part was his personality—we laughed and had a great conversation from the time I arrived until he handed me my room key. It’s not every day you meet someone who can turn a simple check-in into such an enjoyable experience. Milton truly went above and beyond to make a great first impression for the hotel. Because of him, I felt like more than just another guest. If this is the level of hospitality Executive Inn & Suites provides, I will definitely be back. Thank you, Milton, for making my arrival such a memorable one!
The place is nice! Bar and food are really good! Also the breakfast!
Staff can improve their communication! The day of my check-in, I called the hotel to see if it would be possible for me to do an early check in, they told me that I could check in between 12-1pm so I drove all the way there and once we were there they told us that it wouldn't be possible to check in anytime before 3 pm! Once we checked in, they told us the room would be cleaned 3 days after our arrival. On the day it was supposed to happen, I went to the reception to ask, and they told me they were fully booked for the day and wouldn't do it! I told them that if they tell the client they will clean on a certain day that creates an expectation, the front desk lady kept creating excuses instead of just admitting that it was their fault, and I don't think they would tell me unless I went there to ask!
I had a great experience at Executive Inn & Suites! I especially want to thank Enrique at the front desk for his outstanding customer service. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. His professionalism and genuine care made my stay even better. Thank you, Enrique, for making guests feel so welcome. I highly recommend this hotel!
We visited yesterday evening and were extremely pleased with the service and attitude of Enrique, the receptionist. He was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. His caring and responsible approach made the entire experience easy and pleasant. Employees like Enrique truly deserve recognition and appreciation. Thank you for the excellent service!
Mr Milton Davis was very hospitable and accommodating. He made our check in easy and he was very helpful.
I had great 😃 day Everyone was friendly! Security was good too!
Nothing everything was perfect 😁
Front counter help TERRIBLE. Parking should be a courtesy for guest! Dinner was good. Signs in rooms should have correct checkout times!
Had to leave one day sooner than planned. Only stayed one night but service, staff and facility was very good. Had to leave before breakfast.
That I was not able to stay longer.
Breakfast is good. Parking is safe
I spent 30 minutes waiting for a luggage cart they only have 3 for as many rooms they do have very unexceptable
All was perfect. I was greeted by the friendliest staff. Maria A. was just fabulous and so helpful. She really helped make my road trip even better than it already had been!
Awesome waterside location with pool and jacuzzi, cool open/communal architecture design that is open but smart and functional, awesome staff always, clean chill rooms with everything you need and calm color scheme, lovely breakfast in the morning. Excellent price for all of this value. Close to downtown oakland but right off the freeway to anywhere. It’s a special place reall
Awesome 👌
Nice
I stayed at the Executive Inn and Suites for a week for work. Milton Davis and Enrique were both awesome and really made the stay pleasant. They were very helpful in every way and went the extra mile to make the trip enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying there and it will be my 1st choice for when I return to that area again for work. Thanks guys! -S.G.
Bathroom smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Hallways of weed. Cops blocking parking lot because of some late night crime at the hotel. That's a lot really!
My favorite place to stay when I'm in Oakland. The rooms are always clean amd very comfortable. The location is amazing because its right on the bay and located in a safe part of town. I also love the staff here especially Maria and Kim. I highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting Oakland. Jack London Square is close by and there are several dining options that are near the hotel
My "King Water View Suite" is remarkably spacious. If you're fortunate enough to have a room facing the water, you'll have a dramatic view. My balcony looks down on a lagoon. Coast Guard Island is across the water, with the superstructures of Navy ships towering beyond. In the morning you get to watch rowers gliding over the water. A pair of Polynesian canoes, each propelled by sixteen paddlers, takes over the lagoon in the evening, with a drummer in the bow pounding out the strokes.
Well kept and safe !!!
I can’t think of anything !!
Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable.
I didn’t like paying for parking.
Everything, thank you,
No room service.
I liked the Mariana view along with the fact that it was right off the freeway
I wasn’t aware of the different times of breakfast during the week so that was a bummer
I really enjoyed my hotel that was very pleasant and very clean, and the staff was very pleasant especially Catherine sales representative. I really appreciated her smile her empathy sympathy, a present words
Room was very clean and comfortable. Pretty good breakfast included. Water machine available, near the lobby restrooms. We had a "city view" room, which means facing the freeway and parking lot, so no view really. A room facing the water was significantly more $. I didn't mind the white noise of the cars and appreciated the black out type shade that made the room very dark, easier for sleeping. I liked that this is a hotel with the rooms accessed from the inside. It seemed much safer than the motel next door. I liked that it was right on the water, though I wish the walking path outside was longer. A large part of it next door was damaged and fenced off.
They wanted an extra $17 to park in the lot, but there was plenty of street parking just beyond the lot. I would have preferred a room with a view of the water, but the room was already a little pricey and I didn't want to pay so much more for it.
I have been staying at this hotel for 7 yrs. It is the hotel the company I work for put me up in. there is no better service by the staff in all the hotels that I have stayed in my lifetime. Especially, Luis Ortega. he won't hesitate to go out of his way to provide 5 star service . And, as I check in I can't help but notice how he never looses patience with someone who is rude. If it was my hotel , I certianly would give him a more responsible and higher paying position. respectfully.
My experience is always pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable. The staff is great , housekeeping and Sale director Catherine is wonderful see make sure your comfortable and you are satisfied. Breakfast is nice you have all variety of breakfast to choose from. I will always recommend this Hotel to my friends and family. Thank you Catherine for helping me with my stay.😊
I highly recommend this hotel. The location is n easy trip to San Francisco or down town Oakland. Hotel is on the water , with a nice outdoor sitting area, flowering tree, nice outdoor swimming pool & hot tub overlooking the water way. Food was very good. A better free breakfast than most, different every morning. I even had some juicy kiwi fruit. A nice open comfy lounge, with bar & dinner every evening starting at 5:30pm. Delicious salmon and steak, burgers, chicken stripe and more. Our room was clean and comfy. The staff was helpful and friendly. We got to know Kevin, who was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed 4 nights, visiting our kids who live in the area. We will come back again on our next visit. Wr toured many places in San Fran & Oakland. Then heading north to see the Red Woods.
Comfy, clean, convenient access to freeway. Nice view of water.
Breakfast was eh. Room facing freeway was a little loud, not terrible.
Maria, Milton, Enrique, are great with their services. Attitude and personality fit perfectly and makes staying at the hotel enjoyable!
Enrique, And Milton Awesome front desk service, hospitality and courtesy. I am very pleased with my visit. 5 star service
I liked the bed.
I didn't like that they charged me EXTRA for a "water view" room, when I couldn't even see much of the water because it was dark. Why offer to "upgrade" me if im not going to get anything out of it? That was quite the scam, and ultimately I am upset that I paid extra since I was only staying there one night.
Front desk attendant Kim was very helpful and polite. Check-in was fast and easy. Hotel was easily accessible from where I work. Rooms are always clean and well put together. All in all great experience.
Check in was a breeze, as Kim handled everything efficiently and professionally. My waterside room was quiet, comfortable, and relaxing, and the view was amazing. The bed and pillows were soft and welcoming and my dinner was delicious, so I honestly have no complaints. I’d recommend the Executive Inn & Suites to any fellow traveler.
I work in transportation and frequently stay at the Executive after the outbound leg of my trip. The front end staff always has our rooms prepared no matter what time of day we get in. We are always greeted by name. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. There is always a fresh complimentary breakfast, and they keep fresh coffee all day. Maria and the rest of the front end realize the quirks of our industry and are always as accomidating as possible. I consider the Executive a second home.
Catherine and Enrique were the best! Breakfast staff and housekeeping were on point!
Clean, nice view of water
Would prefer healthier / low sugar more protein options at breakfast
We are a regular in this hotel and everyone is so great, employees are so professional and kind, I want to shout out to Catherine for being so nice and helpful to us always!
The front desk staff were not welcoming, and their attitude during check-in was disappointing. It made the experience feel uncomfortable from the start. We stayed here for a family trip over the long weekend and had multiple reservations. To save time, I came first to check in one room under my name while the rest of my family parked the car, brought in luggage, and planned to check in later. The check-in process itself was a little slow, but that was completely fine, every hotel has different systems and procedures. However, the issue was the front desk staff member’s attitude. When my family members arrived and also wanted to check in, his attitude suddenly became noticeably impatient and rude. At first, I thought maybe he could only process one reservation at a time because the check-in setup didn’t even look like a proper front desk, and I honestly considered asking another staff member to help us instead. He then said that if we had told him earlier that we had multiple reservations, he could have arranged our rooms together. I thanked him and politely told him that it was totally fine if the rooms were not together. Instead of simply moving forward, his attitude became even worse. He handled everything extremely slowly while acting visibly annoyed and unfriendly. I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such poor front desk service. If someone does not want to work in customer service, they should not be in a front-facing role. During just a few minutes of check-in, he made guests feel genuinely uncomfortable. I was not expecting overly cheerful service or even a smile, just basic professionalism and courtesy. Before booking, I noticed several reviews mentioning “not friendly front desk staff.” After this experience, I now understand exactly who they were referring to. It’s unfortunate because this hotel does not deserve lower ratings because of one staff member’s poor attitude. Management should seriously consider better training and whether certain employees are suited for front desk positions. Customer service requires patience, professionalism, and basic friendliness, and unfortunately, this staff member showed none of those qualities.
Super clean and secure
Clean and nice staff
Love the waterfront location! Relaxed, modern facility. Stay here several times a year. Rates amazing for Bay Area.
It has an Oakland address, but it is in a world of its own, being on the Embarcadero with fabulous views of the waterfront. (No homeless, no trash.) Great included breakfast each day and nighttime bar and restaurant on site.
I thought the room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable . I also loved the view of the ocean and the breakfast was good .
The coffee machine in the room was dirty and had hair where the kcup goes and the towels had pieces of black hair on them .
I have been coming here for years. The property has gone down. The staff have lost the art of hospitality.
The first room i was in smelled like someone had poured a bottle of bleach on the floor and i changed rooms.I was moved to the first floor,it didnt smell.
Love this hotel! If you’re ever in the Oakland area then this is the place. It’s away from all the downtown stuff but still close. Front desk staff of Enrique and Miguel went over and beyond. Great hotel staff that any hotel would be proud of having as employees
Our interests were not addressed at reception. Paying for parking is not acceptable. They didn't clean our classroom any day.
Location was nice.
The lighting in the room. Dark for putting makeup on. Very dim in the room. I kept looking for a light switch to turn c on for brighter lights.
It was warm and welcoming you I appreciate everybody’s help
Staff was friendly and rooms were nice
Personnel sympathique Belle piscine
J’ai payé pour avoir la vue sur l’eau, j’avais face à mon balcon un arbre, avec un campement de sans abris en dessous et sous mon balcon le local poubelle…
We loved our experience at Executive Inn and Suites. Dinner was amazing. Room was clean and spacious with a stunning view. Bar staff were friendly with a fun atmosphere. Miguel was very helpful during the reservation process as well! Best part was at our check in, Milton had us laughing after a long drive. Overall great experience.
I was greeted by the most humble person in the world at the front desk his name is Myles! Wonderful person!

The receptionist Kim was extremely pleasant answered all my questions and have great hospitality. I would come back just because her customer service and recommend others that I know.
Booked it for the pool and free breakfast. Both of which were basic, but on point. Also liked the location; easy 10-min walk to Brooklyn Basin restaurants like Brotzeit Lokal, Zocalo Coffee, and Lumpia Company. Short car ride to Lake Merritt, Chinatown, etc. However, we had a bad time at check-in, where staff tried to upsell us on a waterfront room in a tasteless manner, and we were harassed in the pool. So, if you are traveling with kids, this might not be the spot for you. Additionally, the king beds are not actually king beds, so if you are booking (and paying for) a king room, confirm the size at check-in. I honestly think we got a queen-sized bed even though we paid for a king. Either they are lying about the bed sizes or their staff might give you the wrong room even if you paid for a king. You decide what is worse.
Clean, comfy, convenient and great amenities!
It’s in Oakland
Very clean, looked fancy, security walking around, everything worked
Had to knock on glass because I got locked out, staff was not very friendly, ghetto people walking right outside where the cars were parked, windows extremely thin, making sleeping hard due to traffic. Also did not know I had to pay a $20 parking fee on top of my $160 reservation.
Nice but I c now it’s starting to need Updating
It’s getting run down a little
