The mattress and pillows. The view. The friendly helpful front desk clerk. Upon arrival seeing an African American front desk clerk. The modern hotel and clean in the lobby, elevators and hallways.

The breakfast and the customers came in their pjs. The cus didn't appear clean and I didn't want to eat after them.

Room was huge, extremely clean, great facilities and very comfortable. Views to San Fransisco from the balcony were great. Brilliant shower and bathroom facilities. Very comfortable beds. Fabulous Mexican restaurant nearby, Nido's backyard.

The location is not particularly pleasant, adjacent to a very busy road, and with a lot of litter and drug paraphernalia on the sidewalk nearby. The walk to the ferry/train station at Jack London can feel a little unsafe, but if you are travelling by car, then you would probably miss this. Breakfast was passable, though rats outside the window were a little off putting. Not great for food allergies, as no labelling of foods. Pool needs updating, it's a disappointing area, accessed through neighbouring hotel. Some staff were very helpful, though one lady in particular didn't seem to want to be there at all.

Locked out of my room for a bit. Door issues. Other than that it was alright.

Our room and bath were huge, and the balcony had a great view of the bay. The breakfast was fine, plenty of options. I appreciated the way Enrique checked us in, very professional and he gave us free waters and free parking because we had to wait a few minutes for maintenance to finish a task in the room.

Anahi Penaloza at the front desk welcomed me for my first stay at this location and she was fabulous! My room also turned out to be excellent. It is always encouraging and positive when customer and vendor interraction can be considerate, reciprocal and just plain perfect. Mine was; I'll be back! Thank you.

Our front check in assistant, Anahi, was so sweet and wonderful. Our room had an amazing view of the bay and was really impressed with the sound proofing, couldn't hear the freeway outside at all! Loved the amenities and the big spa tub! Would stay again!

This our third visit to this property. It is in a great location to visit our family. I understand there has been a change in ownership/management. The result is dreadful! Can you imagine paying nearly $300 per night and there is no bed making service without request and no soap to wash your body with?? It wasn't always this way! Sadly change comes with profit for owner and minimal hospitality for the guest. It has also become a destination for large bus tour groups and not for individuals.

Friendly staff, mean room

The plumbing in our room needs attention. First, the hot and cold water taps were reversed I. The sink. Second, water just dribbled out of the tub faucet. The diverter to get a shower didn’t work at all. I ended up getting a sponge bath.

Checking in was a breeze, thanks to Anahi. Her hospitality, and professionalism should be recognized. Even with the issue I was having with an appliance in the room. She let me know shortly, somebody would come by and take care of it and they did. She was attentive to all my questions and that made me feel comfortable for asking, not rushed or bothered. 🙏🏽

I stayed for the ENHYPEN concert this Tuesday and this is my favorite hotel to stay at for the Oakland Arena concerts, it’s a great location and I highly recommend anyone stay here when there are concerts nearby. The front desk agent Anahi especially made the checking in process as smooth as possible.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds were a little hard. Breakfast was decent.

Paying for parking, also the hotel is in the ghetto.

Had a few hiccups with our bookings but Anahi was able to cancel ours for free and get us the room we actually wanted! Never let your husband book the room unless you want to share a bed with your three kids. We still had a great time in SF. Finally crossed off seeing some Anthony Bourdain recs and seen the that rusty old bridge! Love this beautiful hotel and love the city. We will be back!

The room was huge, very clean and comfortable. The view over the lake towards SF was stunning. Given how close it was to a highway, it was pretty quiet and we weren't disturbed at all. Was great having hot drinks available all the time in the foyer. Parking was plentiful and right next to the hotel.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. I've never stayed at a US hotel (or any hotel!) and not had either bacon or sausage available at breakfast! In fact, it was the worst breakfast I've had at a hotel anywhere in the world! Only hot options were scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. And not much of it. A waffle machine was available but the 30min wait to use it wasn't very appealing. Cold options were a couple of types of cereal, apples and oranges. The plates were either paper or plastic and the cutlery was an inconsistent mix of plastic, carboard and metal. I've never eaten with a plastic knife and paper fork before! Given the room rate (which was inclusive of breakfast), this experience was very disappointing. I've stayed at Best Western's in various countries and the breakfasts have all been excellent. However, it didn't ruin my stay but this is why it isn't getting a higher rating.

Room was nice and decor good, nice balcony. Reception area was nice and open.

Paying for parking, there were no issues with space locally, but security was not good, much broken window glass on road from break ins. The room had an internal door to the next room, but we wernt with them and could hear everything and sadly they were noisy. Clever camera man made this look good, they cut out the industrial yards over the lake viewed from the balcony, the broken wall glass with tape on around the dirty pool, the massive amount of Duck poo on the water walkway, the well used tent for the homeless person outside the crappy Motel next door which had Luxury in its title, the highway out front. This was not cheap so gains the crown for the most expensive worst place stayed. One to miss.

Everything went smoothly. Staff was efficient, courteous, and helpful. Location on the waterfront was nice, with chairs and tables on the back patio to enjoy sun up and sun down. The building was clean and reasonably fresh, and the whole place felt comfortable, not too boxy or motel-like. Parking was available for a reasonable charge.

The Best Western Bayside in Oakland,Ca is one of the far most best lodgings in the city there is. The front desk attendants are all courteous and kind, one name that comes to mind is Anahi…she is such a sweetheart, she goes over and beyond to make your stay worth every dollar spent. The location is quiet and very relaxing, especially if you have the water view rooms. There are a-lot of amenities that are provided at this location. I give it a perfect 10

I rarely leave reviews but had such an incredible experience with KAYLA at the front desk that I couldn’t help but leave a review. She was such a phenomenal guest service coordinator and made all the difference in our stay. She went above and beyond and deserves a promotion! We stayed in room 388 and had a gorgeous view. I strongly recommend a stay here at the beautiful luxurious hotel- 5 stars because of Kayla- she made us feel welcome and at home.

I loved how easy everything was ! They serve complimentary breakfast with great options ! And the deposit is only $100 and parking is $18-$20 which they take out of your deposit! Very kind staff ! Very clean and lovely room / with a view too !!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The beds comfotable and a choice of pillows. The bathroom was lovely and well presented. The view of the lake was beautiful.

The lighting in the main part of the room was inadequate and made the room feel quite dim. The layout of the toilet area in the bathroom was awkward, as the light switch was located behind a very heavy door, making it inconvenient to access, especially during the night. The staff came across as abrupt and not particularly friendly, which detracted from the overall experience.

I come here when I need a break from home this time I came for roofing troubles while my house gets fixed everytime I’m here the staff take good care of me Especially Kim. Their bar and grill at executive inn and suites is delicious, they help me put my order in too

An older property that is exceptionally well maintained. Rooms are large and updated very clean and a friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonably good.

Not enough seating in lobby for a busy morning.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Room is huge and the balcony overlooking the bay is wonderful - we saw many Geese and that really added to our stay. Breakfast was also great. The only issue we had was with the guest laundry service. The washer was good and we washed a lot of clothes in one go. However, the dryer was absolutely awful and, despite using it around 5 or 6 times (it only runs for 10 minutes at a time), we gave up and just had to put wet clothes back into our case.

The front desk personnel were great, very professional and welcoming.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus motel. I was treated with so much kindness especially from Anahi ( front desk agent). She was phenomenal; professional & caring. After learning that I have cancer, she made me very happy. She prioritized by accommodations. She did that with others also!! Please give her whatever she deserves on her job to make her continue showing her natural ability to consider others.

Nice by the water

We were visiting colleges / universities with our daughter and had a last minute change of schedule. Anahi at reception was understanding, professional, and very clever with helping us amend our travel plans. It was a huge relief to sort out the change given how many other things we had to navigate because a university offered our daughter an interview at the last minute. The hotel has a lovely water location and water view. The rooms represented reasonable value for money. The staff, especially at breakfast, was very accommodating to our daughter's food allergies. My only gripe was that our conditioner and shower gel were completely empty. I only realised this after I finished shampooing my hair as the bottles are opaque!

The staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean spacious and comfortable. The bed was amazing! The view was wonderful. The bathroom was spotless and huge. All and all a wonderful stay!

Location is close to freeway

Parking fees with such a small parking lot with cost of rooms should be included with a stay of a suite.

It was clean and there was a mini fridge for our take out dinner.

I didn’t love facing the city which was all tagged up.

Prachtig hotel met ruime en fijne kamers. Wij hadden een terras en het was heerlijk om daar eind van de middag nog even van de zon te genieten. Basic maar prima ontbijt. Met de auto dichtbij de ferry naar San Francisco, je kunt gratis daar parkeren door je ticket te valideren op of bij de ferry. Deze brengt je in 20 min naar hartje SF en is nog leuke tocht ook.

Ligt erg afgelegen en dicht langs een drukke snelweg. Qua geluid hadden wij daar niet zoveel last van, maar zonder auto zit je hier wel erg “opgesloten”. Daarbij in de omgeving veel armoede op straat, zou ‘s avonds niet graag over straat lopen.

Fajne duże pokoje, piękny widok z okna. Bardzo duża i komfortowa łazienka z dużym prysznicem i wanną, z osobną toaletą.

Śniadanie dość średnie, monotonne. Nie nadążają z dokładaniem jedzenia i sprzątaniem.

We liked the rooms. Bathrooms were big.

The breakfast was very weak. Eggs and sausages were cold! The oatmeal was nasty. The juices were watered down. We paid extra to have early check in and the roo8were not ready until 2:30 when regular check in was at 3. Kids wanted to swim in the pool but didn't feel comfortable going to the next door hotel.

My family and I needed to escape the heat so we decided to stay somewhere with AC and a pool. My mom saw Best Western Bayside online and we made our reservation after that. Kim checked us in and told us all the close by restaurants to the hotel. She had great vibes whenever we interacted with her thanks Kim for making our stay wonderful

Omg I luv the staff, the food, the bed, the space and of course the cute ship recks! Miss. Kim at the front desk is a GOD send. She was so nice and told us a few spots for food before our concert! She made our girls weekend absolutely amazing!

I loved the breakfast, the comfy and clean rooms, the beds, how nice the staff was. Miss Kim is the best from the front desk.

Our family needed a place to rest and I'm so glad we found this hotel. The very best part of the hotel was the person who greeted us when we first walked in. Anahi was friendly and professional. She was a great communicator and explained every amenity. She was obviously sincere in wanting us to have a pleasant stay. Anahi is an asset to this hotel staff. Thank you, Anahi!

My gf and I had the absolute best time at the best western. Miss. Kim at the front desk truly made our trip. She made the check in fast and easy, gave us advice on close places to eat and had the best vibe and attitude! We truly can’t wait to come back! Its staff like her that truly make the trip worth it. We went for a bad Omans concert and our trip couldn’t have been better. The breakfast food was great, the staff were so sweet, the carts all worked and were easy to find, the ice machine was close and the rooms were so clean. The options for snacks food and drinks is top notch. The beds were truly heavenly. It’s the best night sleep we had in months! We had to look online to order the bedding( you can buy their brand on Amazon). We loved it so much. Plus the ship recks make the view. I had an excellent stay this past Saturday while I was in town for the E40 concert, the rooms were very clean and checkup was a breeze thanks to Anahi at the front desk. The waterfront view was especially beautiful.
