The fridge wasn’t working, and not enough towels. Didn’t receive a receipt for my stay so I don’t know if I got my $100 of deposit back or how much was the parking.

The outside is ugly, and the lobby stinks and smells old. But it's a classic hotel and the rooms on the other hand are a lot nicer.

The fact that this hotel has no parking, whatever the price is for your room per night go ahead and add another $60 per night for valet because that's the only parking option they have. That needs to be stated on the website. Have never been to a hotel where I couldn't park at the hotel. There's construction going on in the front but nobody's working on it. Scaffolding is set up all around the front of the building and looks real trashy. The bar restaurant were closed a lot during the day. The thermostat on my AC wouldn't get below 71°. I reported it and they asked me if I wanted someone to come look at it. I said yes and they never came and they never responded.

OMG!! This was the best stay ever. This is like a hidden Hotel. Very nice update peaceful and very very clean. Check-in was 2-3min Only i mean the only thing is the shower didn't have a close door so water was all over the bathroom floor. I just ask for more towels. That's a work around but might want to put door on the shower to keep up the door to the bathroom and floor looking good. But other than that comfortable beds nice view of downtown. Big Tv and add the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. Just clean over all. The breakfast was over the top. Everyone i mean everyone in this place was over the top nice welcoming. This always add a special touch to your stay I will always stay here when in Houston. I have a nother event November.

Great option. For a stay in Houston. Great value for money when we stayed there. Justin, the bartender, was excellent. He gave us great tips for things to do in Houston. He was a great bartender, too.

Some renovation work was happening on the outside of the building, but it didn't cause us any issues.

Surrounding area downtown so close by but not very touristy. Building was surrounded by scaffolding so not great on the eye but otherwise all good.

Breakfast is served by a third-party restaurant located right inside the hotel lobby, but it is a bit expensive.

The room was spacious and it was walking distance from pretty much everything.

They were doing construction outside my window, So it was very noisy.

The rooms

We had to wait for our rooms! Check in was at 3, we got our hotel room later because there was slot of people waiting! We got there and the bedsheets were dirty! This man brought us new bedding sheets but he didn’t even change them, he expected for us to do it even though WE paid for a room in that hotel, I felt like he should’ve done it!

L’hôtel en lui même est beau propre mais les chambre sont laissées à l’abandon, entretien de la chambre 902 inexistant : pas de ménage les poubelles ne sont pas enlevées, pas de serviette propres il fait tout demander au personnel et je trouve ça très abusé de la part de la direction. Même pas de bouteille d’eau de bienvenue.

The location for going to the ballpark was great! The front desk staff & the restaurant staff were friendly & very efficient. Our room was more spacious than most other hotels.

The arrival, unloading our luggage, & handing off our car for valet was chaotic & no carts were available.

I slept very comfortably, the bed was soft, cozy and the pillows were comfortable. Coffee was good. The customer service was awesome.

Free breakfast could have completed the whole stay.

Location was great, especially if you need to get to Daikin field which is only a few blocks away.

For a room with 2 queen beds and therefore probably at least 2 guests, it's a very strange choice to go with a "barn door" that doesn't fully close for the washroom in terms of privacy.

I absolutely love this Downtown Historic Houston hotel. It is such a unique hotel. The room is very clean and comfortable the bed. The linens are soft and bed is so comfortable to sleep. the air condition works great even in Houston hot summer heat outside. Just down the street from the baseball park. Great value for the room price. Highly recommend

City view was amazing, highly recommend. Rooms had a great lake and a great feel, ballroom was awesome. I will stay at this location next time I’m in downtown Houston

I had a great stay but the service and help of Janaé was what made it truly amazing. Her and the rest of the staff did an outstanding job taking care of us.

They were under construction which we weren’t informed so being woke up to the noise wasn’t okay. But overall it was fine

I didn’t like the breakfast not being included or knowing ahead of time it was. Valet only hotel they didn’t include that information. I also didn’t like that the microwave was only on the 2nd floor

Great location. the rooms were one of the nicest I've stayed in. Price was great value. Whole place was clean inside and out. Had a nice peaceful atmosphere. Slept like a baby nice and guite. Front desk personnel were fantastic and helpful. Will definitely stay there for every Astros game I go to.

First stay at the Cambria was an experience! Disappointed with a few amenities missing that my family is use to, like no pool and breakfast being an extra charge… but the hotel itself was immaculate!! Would definitely book this hotel again, and maybe leave the children behind.

Noise: There's construction on the building but they don't start till a reasonable hour Service: friendly and quick Amenities: did not use all of them like the gym or laundry but its great that they are there too!

Great location to Astros Stadium which was why we were in town. Hotel was under renovation but did a great job of not letting it impact guests. Rooms were modern and well kept. A bit pricey but location to stadium was worthwhile and FIFA game being played so that may have impacted costs. Bar was good, could have used more kitchen staff due to crowds. Parking is expensive. Would stay again if going to Astros game.

Nothing special. Not the best hotels but clean.

No help from staff. Valet would lie to you about prices while the prices are shows front of the door. They got mad because I didn’t use valet and ask them about different parking which they refused to help on that.

The bathroom is amazing

Upon arrival Hotel Manager greeted me with a very positive and professional disposition. Room was very clean and comfortable, hotel bar also had easy options with a reasonable price also very professional and polite. Would highly recommend Cambria Hotel Houston.

Located in the Heart of the City with Proximity to the Bayou, Herman Park, Houston Zoo, Houston Aquarium, Post Oak Roof Top Gardens, The Theatre, Ballpark & More. Proximity to Great Restaurants & Major Highways. The Area is Absolutely Safe & Walkable Again the Staff is Absolutely Wonderful & Stephen Watt, the Manager is SIMPLY AWESOME!!!! We've Stayed at this Hotel More Than 20 Times & Highly, Highly Recommend!!!!!

The Location of this Hotel is spot on. The rooms are well insulated and very quiet experience.

I came to Houston on a solo trip and Janae made my day. Her customer service skills are excellent. I was having a rough day and upon check in she welcomed me and her demeanor and professionalism immediately cheered me up. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. Big shoutout to Janae. She is amazing.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Cambria Hotel Downtown Houston Convention Center. The staff was friendly and communicated well before and during my stay, checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. I appreciated the housekeeping-on-request option and the staff was responsive whenever I needed assistance. The hotel’s downtown location was convenient for exploring Houston and attending events nearby. Overall, I had a great experience and would gladly stay here again on a future trip to Houston.

The main downside was the unusually high room rates during the World Cup period, which made the stay considerably more expensive than normal. In addition, on multiple nights there was significant noise from nearby rooms, with guests yelling and screaming as late as 4:00 AM, which made it difficult to sleep.

We loved the location! Staff was beyond nice and same with the restaurant staff! Food quality was poor for the price as well as the room.

The facilities

Terrible stay. Non-stop noise from repair and maintenance right outside my room from early morning to late afternoon. No one warned me at check-in, and staff offered no compensation. Completely ruined my rest. Will not return and do not recommend

Breakfast was great. We had the BLT sandwich and the omelette. Amount of food and taste was great. Highly recommend. Croissant was also nice and toasty and the Everyday platter was fantastic as well. The servers were very nice and courteous. Fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I love everything about this hotel. From the beds and pillows, to the air conditioning, the size of the rooms, as well as the location. Plus the staff is amazing!!!

This is a beautiful facility with amazing views of the riverwalk. We will definitely be back again! The staff and facilities were outstanding!

Less expensive parking. This is Texas, everyone drives a pickup, it is not an oversized vehicle if it is not a dully! It is a cowboy Cadillac!

Always a wonderful experience thing at this location. The staff top to bottom is always very kind to me and makes me stay very comfortable. This is my go to spot. Looking forward to coming back.

The hotel staff made me feel both safe and welcomed at very late arrival. Its an older building that had been beautifully renovated with modern luxurious decor. I had great city view too. Location is a couple of blocks from the Main Street corridor that had many restaurants and cafes. If you are a baseball ⚾️ fan and a soccer fan this location is ideal. For me, it was a nice quick escape for relaxation (be advised they are doing some renovation work during the mid day) and rest. I think it is a quieter part of downtown Houston. Take a moment to consider this place. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I have stayed several times at the Cambria, and I am never disappointed. It is within walking distance of Daikin Park, Discovery Green, and several restaurants. The staff is so welcoming, and the rooms are immaculately clean. The hotel is quiet with very comfy beds.

Super nice hotel and very secure downtown which I like. Right next to the stadium as well and amazing views. Janaé was such an amazing help in booking us the room and making sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!!
