The hotel booking system seems to be inconsistent with the that of booking agents. It took long to go through the check in process.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Great location between the airport and the Havila cruise ship dock. The rooms were roomy and comfortable. There was a kettle and instant coffee in the room. The best thing though was the amazing breakfast! Such great food!
The pool and sauna were closed due to a private function. Disappointing but we still enjoyed our stay.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026The building is a little dated, but that’s understandable given its location in Kirkenes. The hotel is right in the city centre, close to restaurants, a shopping centre and local shops. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Personalet, Det var kaldt på rommet,ringte ned til resepsjonen,de svarer ikke☹️skulle sjekke ut, ikke hilser dem ,ikke spør dem om hvordan oppholdet har vært , ikke ønsker de deg en god tur hjem, og ikke sier de ha det. ☹️

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Central location, close to stores and restaurants, bus stop right in front of it. Delicious dinner, breakfast had lots of selections although breakfast room was a bit small for the number of people. Comfortable beds
Needs renovations, looks a bit rundown. Very slow check-in with only one receptionists available. She asked us to fill a form with home address explaining it as a police requirement, although we were never asked to do so in any other hotel in Norway. We were given a room right next to the elevator and staircase, and it was a bit loud.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026We stayed at the Scandic Kirkenes after our cruise from Bergen and found it very convenient. The hotel is within walking distance of the ferry terminal and is also very centrally located for exploring Kirkenes. We really appreciated being able to check in early after arriving from the cruise. The room was comfortable, the staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. A convenient and comfortable place to stay after arriving in Kirkenes.
Nothing to dislike – everything was comfortable and convenient for our stay.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Понравился работник на стойке администрации (работник азиатского просхождения): улыбчивый, дружелюбный, приветливый, помог заселиться пораньше. Персонал в ресторане был приветливым. Был отличный вид из окна в номере. Номер был тоже отличный: продуманная цветовая гамма, удобные кровати, ванна (!). Все в номере казалось продуманным.
В номере могло бы быть больше информации об автобусах до/из аэропорта (туристу было бы здорово знать, что есть не только такси), о работе ресторанов (во сколько рестораны открываются в городе на неделе и в выходные), о работе магазинов на неделе и в выходные. 10.8.2026 во второй половине дня на первом этаже отеля в туалетах не было туалетной бумаги (в женском и в туалете с детьми), в женском туалете не работал аппарат с бумажными салфетками. В ресторане 9.8.2026 не было многих блюд, указанных в меню.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Notre accueil par le monsieur était très aimable et professionnel. On est arrivé en avance et on pouvait laisser nos valises en tout sécurité pour aller se balader. Le bar man était drôle mais respectueux et efficace. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment excellent!
La piscine était plus petite que celle que j’attendais et le steam bath était malheureusement hors service.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Die zentrale Lage des Hotels war perfekt – alles war bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und stets bemüht. Das Essen im Hotel war sehr gut, und das Frühstücksbuffet war sogar noch besser – eine tolle Auswahl.
Die Zimmerschlüsselkarte hat leider nicht immer funktioniert. Das Problem wurde vom Hotelpersonal jedoch jedes Mal schnell und unkompliziert gelöst.
