Location of the hotel is great easy to access. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Breakfast restaurant isn't spacious and it gets chaotic in the mornings.

The hotel itself was great.

The hotel itself was great. However, as a business traveler, I needed documentation for expense reimbursement. Although the booking was prepaid through Booking.com, neither the hotel nor booking.com was unable to provide me an invoice that I can use for business travel administration. Probably I have to pay the hotel from my private money.

Great location within walking distance of metro station. Lots of (also western) restaurants and minisupermarkets in the neighbourhood. Breakfast buffet has a good selection of Asian and western food. Unlike some other international chain hotels, the atmosphere of the hotel is Chinese, based on movie theme. Spacious room, efficiënt airconditioning. Special thanks to Mr Tony Shan, Chief Concierge! I lost my phone in the Didi car. He put in a lot of effort to get it back even calling Didi. We are sure that without his help I would have lost it forever.

Bed was stiff. Our room was not made up on one of the days and staff left a note. Puzzled as we did not display any sign to say we didn’t need one. Room was generally clean but old style . Hotel in need of major reno .

I really enjoyed my week here while I was in Shanghai on business. The room itself was average for a chain hotel like this but very comfortable and did not lack for anything. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent. One of the hotel's strong points is its location. First, you can walk out the door for many shops and restaurants. Second, if you're driving, it is not too long from most of Shanghai's landmark areas. If I return to Shanghai, I would be glad to stay here again.

Very convenient location and many Chinese and western eateries within walking distance. Fantastic. Subway is a bit more of a walk

My second time at this hotel. Location of the hotel is excellent, surrounded by food and nice cafes. Very near to metro station. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast.

The bathroom shower curtain looks old can perhaps a change may be better.

Slow internet connection

The location of this property was excellent - amongst many little quaint shops and coffee shops. The hotel had a cool vibe - it is known for the Shanghai Film Festival so it has a cinematic theme. Loved our stay!

The wifi was a little slow in some spots but otherwise, the room was darling!

Good location. It is a bit more than 150 yards from the metro but still close enough!

The steam room in the fitness centre didn't seem to be working. The room description included a spa bath but this did not seem to be available. The concierge staff did not seem to know about the range of restaurants and cafes all within 5 mins walk. A really good range of options.

The location is great to reach most of the tourist destinations in Shanghai and breakfast is awesome with a mix of local and European dishes. It is also easy to access to Shanghai Film Archive Cinema via a connected indoor path.

This was definitely a disappointing end to our trip in China after the generally exceptional service we had received at our previous IHG hotel stays. Nothing can make up for being assigned to a room where the basic bathroom functions such as toilet flushing and hot and cold taps do not work effectively. The solution of being expected to move rooms when we have three young children, are out of the hotel most of the time, and are in the midst of sorting everything out for the flight home is not viable. The room assignment should not have been made to any guest, let alone one with Platinum Elite status. On review, it seems that this hotel is resting on its laurels and relying on its reputation and theming to cover for a product that would not up to Crowne Plaza standards elsewhere. The smell of cigarettes hang in the hallway although the rooms were on a non-smoking floor. The buffet breakfast was plain and basic for this standard of hotel. The port cochere with vehicles passing was hazardous for people trying to get to and from the lobby given the flawed design, particularly with a specific smoking area in the main thoroughfare. There are literally thousands of options in Shanghai, and many in this area, so do not settle for this tired overhyped property.

De locatie van het hotel is prima, het metro station (lijn 10) is op korte afstand, de wijk is relatief rustig en rustiek met veel goede kleine restaurants en winkels. Faciliteiten in het hotel zijn prima, kamers rustgevend, goed bed en een uitgebreid en gevarieerd ontbijt.

De drukte bij het ontbijt, mede als gevolg van het gebrek aan kleine tafels voor een of twee personen.

Ruime keus, voortreffelijke kwaliteit, ondanks drukte toch voldoende ruimte voor enige 'privacy'

Staf bij receptie kan iets bekwamer zijn met het verschaffen van correcte invoice en de in China gebruikelijke belastingverkalring (fapiao)

As a Muslim, finding suitable halal food when traveling is always a challenge. However, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai was truly a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff was welcoming and attentive, check-in was quick and efficient. I especially want to praise the hotel's dining options. I was surprised to find halal food here, and it completely met my dietary needs. Whether it was the mushrooms and flatbread at breakfast or the hummus during dinner, the ingredients were fresh, the food was well prepared and very delicious! I was deeply touched by the chef's understanding and respect for the halal culinary culture. I highly recommend this hotel to fellow Muslims who share similar needs. Staying here provides peace of mind and a comfortable stay. Definitely a Five-star rating!

ريحة فرش الأرضيه مزعجه وكذلك الأبواب والأثاث كان قديم جدا والمكيف يعمل على التهويه فقط وفي حال تشتكي يبلغونك بأن تفتح النوافذ بعد أن رفضت ذلك تم تحويلي إلى غرفه أخرى

The location is great, near to the subway and lots of food options. Most amazing is the staff I met there who made my stay extra special. A shout out to their F&B guest relations manager Mr Jacky Li and House keeping, Ms Li Ling and her other colleagues. All of them are friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel may be old but rooms are very comfy and great service from the staff. Breakfast is great with a good spread of both local and western food options. Highly recommend to stay here!

Nice, spaciuos room. The kids really enjoyed playing at the lounge.

There were no proper chair or comforthing chair to sit in this room.

The location is nice The tv has many more channel than other hotels.

The breakfast can be better

Good location. Hotel so so. Facilities poor. Bar closed early evening. Club room empty apart from a cool cabinet with 6 Cokes, 6 Sprites an a couple of bottles of beer. Breakfast and main restaurant a buffet which was a bun fight if you didn’t get there early they had run out of items. Staff pushing trolled around cleaning tables I have been in better canteens

Beds were super comfortable and the hotel was overall very clean. The ambience is nice with a decoration referring to old movies (photographs and objects in the lobby, hallways, rooms.)

Facilities are quite old: Bathtub had curtains; air condition had an on/off switch. The parking area in front of the hotel entrance was very narrow and it was never easy to stop your car to get off. Check-in took so long. It's much quicker in other hotels.
