Leider hat das Hotel insgesamt nicht ganz meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Aufgrund der Bilder und Beschreibungen hatte ich mir den Aufenthalt etwas anders vorgestellt – vor Ort war es zwar keineswegs schlecht, aber leider nicht so, wie ich es erwartet hatte.

The atmosphere.. felt very peaceful surrounded by nature. The staff like Lovi, okta and Wayan are amazing and ofcourse all the others as well.. very warm welcome all the time and they are all very kind.

I preferred a few stair railings. The stairs where steep and wises I could hold on to something ☺️

Everything, but the staff stood out. Every single staff member from reception, to food, bar and spa treated me with warmth, hospitality and a heartfelt smile every single day. Food was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, the rooms are large and comfortable and the shuttle very efficient. even though the hotel is a bit out of Ubud, it’s super easy and cheap to grab a taxi if the shuttle wasn’t an option. I loved the early morning yoga a lot !

everything was perfect. The only thing the hotel can think about is upgrading the towels in the bathroom and pool to a more luxurious feel. A small thing but in my view would elevate the room and pool experience

The staff is very friendly and helpful, always trying to help. Our room was perfect and even when we arrived and the jacuzzi was having a problem, they worked fast to solve everything as fast as possible. The flowers in the pool were a perfect touch to our wedding anniversary. I loved the view from our room, and the sound from the river, it looked like we were at the blue lagoon movie. We loved our stay here 💕

There is just some management that should be verified like there is some smell that comes from the sewage, some pool chairs and floor that need repairing from the common pool area.

This resort was amazing. Rooms were fantastic. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so friendly. We ate in the hotel regularly and the food was always so delicious. We didn’t get bitten at all while staying here either which was fantastic. Such a good ambiance around the resort. The pools had fantastic views.

Very beautifull, helpfull staff

We recently stayed at Aksari Resort Ubud as a family on a Luxury Escapes package. Having read many of the reviews beforehand, I actually agree with quite a few of them, so I thought I’d share a balanced perspective. Firstly, the location. The resort is around 40 minutes from Ubud, which is very easy to see when booking, so this certainly wasn’t a surprise. In hindsight, though, it probably wasn’t the right location for our family as we found ourselves wanting to spend more time in Ubud than we anticipated. The complimentary shuttle runs every two hours from 9:00am, with the last pickup from Ubud at 5:45pm. We didn’t find it unreliable, but we did find it fully booked on one occasion, even outside of school holiday periods. That meant we had to arrange a private driver once, which was a little frustrating when we had specifically chosen the resort knowing there was a shuttle available. It also means you can’t really enjoy dinner in Ubud if you’re relying on the shuttle. As part of our Luxury Escapes package, we had an all-inclusive dining option. Unfortunately, we found the menu quite limited, with very little variety, and if we returned, we wouldn’t choose the all-inclusive package again. We also felt some of the à la carte pricing was expensive. For example, two coffees cost us around AUD $15, which felt quite high. Where the resort truly shines is its staff. We’d particularly like to recognise Lovi in the restaurant, who was absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. Attentive, genuinely kind and the perfect example of Balinese hospitality. We’d also like to thank Okta from the concierge team, who went out of her way to help us organise several important parts of our holiday and made everything incredibly easy. We stayed in a one-bedroom pool villa, which was beautiful and very private. One thing worth mentioning for anyone travelling during the cooler months is that the pools are very cold, and because the resort is nestled in the jungle, the evenings become surprisingly chilly once the sun goes down. Definitely pack a light jumper or jacket. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and made some wonderful family memories. For us personally, we probably wouldn’t return because the location was a little too isolated and the dining options weren’t varied enough. However, if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to completely switch off, spend a couple of days relaxing in your own private villa and simply enjoy the surroundings, then Aksari could be exactly what you’re looking for.

We stayed here during our honeymoon in Bali, and it was by far the best accommodation we experienced in Ubud. Every member of the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We would especially like to thank Ratna and Hilda for their kindness and patience. They answered all of our questions with genuine care and made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. The resort itself was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. It truly made our honeymoon extra special. If anyone asks me for a recommendation on where to stay in Ubud, I would recommend Aksari Resort Ubud without hesitation. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience—we would love to come back someday!

Wonderful welcome. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Wonderful setting. Some maintenance matters but nothing serious. The spa is excellent. For a stay of more than a few days the food is lacking in variety. The breakfast is sub par with a poor range of options. The resort is a considerable distance from the main town; depending on traffic up to 35 - 40 minutes. There are resort shuttles but it is recommended these are booked a day in advance. Not ideal for any sort of spontaneous decision making! Would not return given distance to the town and lack of variety of food options. Would recommend for couples who enjoy tranquility in a superb location far from the madding crowd.

We loved the staff at this resort - especially our yoga teachers. This morning lovely Wida led us through an energising session with a backdrop of the jungle and sounds of the mountain stream and morning birdsong. Sublime way to start the day.

This hotel was the second stop on our Singapore & Bali itinerary arranged for us by Voyage Privé. We stayed for 6 days & for the first 3 we thoroughly enjoyed the peace & tranquility of the resort which is situated amidst an amazing jungle / forest setting . The online piccies are wholly accurate with the hotel being in an elevated position about 20 minutes drive north of Ubud itself . A courtesy bus can take you into Ubud & a couple of nearby attractions if you can drag yourself away from the beautiful & serene environment. The staff are all truly wonderful but Korja became a special friend during our stay & we had many chats during meal times & afternoon tea sessions . Our forest view suite was most comfortable & we slept well during our stay. The main issue for us was that this resort quite often hosts weddings . On day 4 we were suddenly aware of a large group who literally took over the dining room & pool areas with all the associated noise & inconvenience . So in conclusion just be aware that you may end up with a different experience as a result of some Event taking place in a relatively small hotel.

Det som virkelig gjorde oppholdet spesielt var den fantastiske servicen fra de ansatte. En ekstra stor takk til Korja, Wulan og Okta, som var utrolig hyggelige, varme og hjelpsomme gjennom hele oppholdet. De fikk oss til å føle oss veldig velkomne!

Det eneste lille forbedringspunktet var frokosten, som vi opplevde som litt enkel sammenlignet med forventningene til et 5-stjerners hotell.

It was my sister's wedding and it was a beautiful place to have a wedding. The staff were happy to assist with anything we needed and all of the setup and considerations made are greatly appreciated. The staff during the wedding added to the atmosphere by being lively and energetic dancing with us and having fun. We were always pleasantly greeted by staff dressed immaculately such as the lovley Okta.

While the location was beautiful and the natural scenery was pristine the access to get into Ubud was a bit of a challenge. I feel like while the isolation added to the peacefulness it meant we had to lean on hotel amenities and services which were priced to our reliance.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, and fully invested in making sure our stay was fulfilling. They asked about our plans, how each day went, and our food plans. Their suggestions for daily exploration were very helpful. Both restaurants were fantastic, and we loved exploring the property

Incredible location - however an overall let down 👎 Pros - Sensationally friendly staffers who tried their very best ✅ Location was unbelievable and isolated - a motorcycle 🏍️ rental business and corner milk bar are two handy nearby supports Scenery was great with the sound of tropical creeks and water falls throught Food was high level quality ✅ Cons : Noise - expect to be woken up with roosters at 4.50 am and moving house keeping or tenant furniture from 6.00 am or earlier ... Could not believe the noise levels 🤦 ... Works - despite paying top dollar 💰 for the week in May 2026 we had an army of builders and workers carting gravel on their heads daily from 7.00 am turning the well being retreat into a busy noisy dirty work zone 🤦 Rooms - Average and riddled with mould from significant condensation .. cheap moisture catchers were on and did nothing ❎ Cost - food and drink are extremely expensive - just because you're labelled a "Resort" doesn't equate to "we can charge you plenty" No recompense by management for the week of disruption and poor poor sleep We can't recommend this place ❎ at all

It’s truly a beautiful place, tucked away on the quieter side of Ubud near Tegallalang. Peaceful, relaxing, and almost surreal in its beauty. The rooms are incredibly spacious — even the lower-priced options feel luxurious and comfortable. The room service was fantastic, and the food was divine throughout our stay. The property is also quite mobility-friendly, with plenty of sloped pathways to reduce the need for stairs, although some areas still have a few steps. What really made this place special was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. They genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, regularly checking in to ensure everything was perfect. We also had our wedding here, and it honestly felt like a dream. The setting is absolutely picturesque and perfect for smaller, intimate weddings. Every detail was beautiful, and the atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. The spa also deserves a special mention — it offers an amazing range of services and was one of the highlights of our stay. Another pleasant surprise was how quiet and mosquito-free the area felt compared to other parts of Bali. It is a little further from central Ubud, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. Staying here truly allows you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and fully relax into the feeling of being on a real holiday. Running out of words to describe just how wonderful everything was. Highly recommended.

We had such a beautiful stay at Aksari Resort Ubud. The villa room was so peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by nature — exactly what we needed for a reset. A special thank you to Wulan and Arwan who were absolutely amazing throughout our stay, but honestly every staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed and special. The food was delicious, service was always prompt, and the whole experience felt calm and luxurious from start to finish. We had an amazing stay at Aksari Resort Ubud. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing family trip in Ubud. A special thanks to Okta and Wulan, who assisted us throughout our entire stay via WhatsApp. They were always responsive, kind, professional, and very helpful with every request we had. Their support truly made our experience smoother and more enjoyable. We also want to thank Wayans, the driver who took us for our rafting and Quad ATV activities. He was punctual, friendly, safe driver, and made the whole day very comfortable and enjoyable for us. The service overall was excellent, the staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Aksari Hotel Resort. We tried both restaurants and they were amazing—especially the sushi, which we absolutely loved. The overall experience was excellent. The outdoor pools were beautiful and not crowded at all, making it very relaxing. We also joined the morning yoga session, which was perfect and very calming. A special thanks to Wulan and Okta, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Whenever we needed anything, the reception responded quickly and efficiently. We stayed in a pool villa, and features like the projector and Alexa made the experience even more enjoyable. As a welcome, we were offered a 15-minute massage, which was a lovely touch and really enhanced our stay. The hotel was so beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t even feel the need to leave for a whole day—we just enjoyed our time there to the fullest. Overall, it was truly a great experience.

Although a little far out from the centre of Ubud it is definately worth it, and they do run a free shuttle service into town. It is a spectacular property, beautiful rooms and amenities and the surroundings are stunning. From the very first moment you arrive you are greeted with the most hospitible and immaculate staff. Okta and Wulan went over and above at every opportunity to make the time at Aksari feel even more special, they are a true asset and would have not been the same without them. Food and drinks were beyond expectaition and would not stay anywhere else if we rerurned to Bali.

Everything was outstanding during my stay. Such beautiful resort, love the serenity and nature, very warm and welcoming staff attending to every detail. In the restaurant food is amazing, staff always check dietary requirements a few times per sit. The best bacon 🥓 is served for breakfast. Very good spa services. Yoga daily in the best scenery with very well trained teacher. My favourite was Wida. She pours her beautiful heart into daily practises. I will definitely be back here again and again, probably for longer time, as I don't want to leave! Thank you so much! Love from Australia

Heerlijke tijd gehad in het Aksari resort. Het resort is prachtig, met name het zwembad. Het eten dat geserveerd wordt in de twee restaurants is van hoge kwaliteit en de vriendelijkheid/gastvrijheid is heel erg goed. Met name Okta, Wulan, Korja en Eny hebben ervoor gezorgd dat we een onvergetelijke tijd hebben gehad. De kamers zijn brandschoon en het resort wordt goed onderhouden. Ik zou deze accommodatie zeker aanraden en terugkomen.

De accommodatie ligt ver van het centrum (30 min met de auto), maar dat vonden wij niet erg. Het resort bied dagelijks een gratis shuttle.

The property presents well. Food was of a high quality. The spa was a highlight. A good range of unique cocktails at the bar.

Inexperienced front desk staff in need of training. There did not appear to be a senior staff member present during my stay. The staff that were there seemed ill-equipped to deal with common situations. Some rooms had only a very thin door separating them which makes them able to hear everything in the other room. A large group of travellers were staying one night and decided to party until 6.00 AM in the morning with no intervention from management. A $30 discount was given in compensation on a stay of 4 nights.

HOSPITALITY PLUS!!! I find it very hard to single out any staff at this resort because every single one of them were beautiful people full of love, happiness and support. From the moment you pull up to the resort you are surrounded by staff so eager to assist, to greet you, to take your bags to make you feel special, just amazing!!!! We booked through Luxury Escapes and have not looked back! May I send an extra special thankyou to LUVI and WULAN, how amazing were these beautiful souls, gorgeous, kind, helpful absolutely bent over backwards to do anything to make our stay soo special, we wanted to take them home with us!!!! The other 2 gorgeous ladies were BINTANG and AYU, they equally made our stay here sooo special, ALL of these ladies are a credit to your Organisation, they all worked so well together and we LOVED getting to know them...Thankyou soooo much!!!! To the village, what amazing happy people you all are, the parade was sooo special, thankyou for allowing us to share your love with us. To the chefs...OMG the BARRAMUNDI and ROAST PUMPKIN SOUP was to die for!!!! The entertainment, the 15 year old girl that played the instrument, I don't know what it was called but she played on Tuesday the 17th of March, she was sooo talented and equally the singer with the acoustic guitar on the Wednesday night, 18th of March, boy could he play and sing!!!! Finally to the staff in the Day SPA. My 1st 90 minute full body massage my wife and I had on Thursday the 19th of March at 10am, my goodness, you respected my privacy with the towels took away any embarrassment I was feeling because I was 65 and having my 1st massage....THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU....I will forever have this massage again because of you, your technique was incredible. Sorry for the long post BUT I truly felt like a King for 3 nights, do yourself a favour and just book!!! You will soon write a review like me!!!!❤️❤️❤️

Nothing really. The setting was pretty and the staff were kind and friendly but that’s about it! We had booked for 3 nights and left after less than 24 hours.

The pictures and other reviews of this hotel are misleading! Don’t be fooled. Firstly this hotel isn’t in Ubud. It’s about a 40 min drive into the centre of Ubud, could be more as traffic is bad. The room was tired and dirty, the bedding was dirty and covered in stains and the doors to the balcony didn’t shut, so all manor of bugs and lizards could get in. Which in the middle of the jungle isn’t ideal! The air con was super loud and there was another weird noise in the room which meant we barely slept. All of the sun loungers and furniture was mouldy. Basically anywhere there was any fabric, there was mould. And then the fittings were broken and tired. There’s a hot tub but it’s beyond hot. Hotter than an onsen. It was almost impossible to sit in. The breakfast was probably the worst we’d had in Indonesia, and we travelled around a lot. We had a coffee and left. We had stayed in another Ubud hotel a few weeks previously which was amazing. I wish we’d gone back to that one! Overall one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in.

Lovely hotel Great staff I want to mention Especially OKTA and WULAN they were very very friendly and helpful

The breakfast was delicious and varied each day. Staff remembered our coffee orders and were most helpful with heating up food which had gone cold.

The breakfast area looks over the jungle and is quite spectacular, however, the arrangement of the buffet could improve with the polular fruit stand in a crowded corner, making it a congested. Also, the fruit is in covered tubs, meaning staff do not always know when fruit runs out.

Очень крутой сервис, один из лучших, что мы получали на Бали. Расположение на севере Убуда - тишина, красота, отель стоит в 200 метрах от дороги, подъезд удобный, шикарный вид из номера, очень крутой номер, удобная кровать, бассейн и теплый джакузи, бесплатные йога классы в 7-30 утра, шикарный завтрак формата шведский стол - один из самых лучших. Отдельно отмечу Guest Relations - очень заботливая, они создают ватсап чат при заезде и есть возможность моментально получать ответы на вопросы и оставлять обратную связь, что очень удобно.

Уставшая фурнитура - тяжело открываются шкафы-купе, отвалилась в первый день кнопка на унитазе-инсталляции, техник починил, но кнопка опять отвалилась, уже не стали никого вызывать. Нужно немного освежить и сделать ренновацию фурнитуры.

The staff was so helpful, very friendly and ready to help at all times. The reception staff was amazing. Okta remembered my name even at breakfast and Wulan was very hospitable and helped with what ever I needed.

I had a wonderful 5 nights at Aksari - it was my first time solo travelling, and the staff and beautiful setting made it an incredible and memorable experience. Everything you could need is provided for, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are so welcoming and friendly. I had a number of transfers to activities outside the resort organised by the Aksari team (particular thanks to Wulan and Okta) who made the experiences seamless. I found the room to be clean and well maintained, with a lovely outlook to the jungle and river. There is a wide range of food and drink options at the restaurant and the quality was excellent. The pool area was a beautiful space to spend the day reading. I particularly enjoyed morning yoga with Wida on the rooftop, and found daily spa treatments a wonderful way to relax and unwind. The resort itself is secluded and quiet, creating a peaceful atmosphere amongst nature, but still within easy access to ubud centre should you wish to explore. I really enjoyed my time at Aksari and only wish I stayed longer - I will definitely be back!

The accommodation was clean, cozy, and perfectly located, making everything easily accessible. The entire staff was amazing and very friendly, especially Wulan, who made our stay even more enjoyable.

It was perfect in my opinion, nothing not to like.

The property itself it lovely and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

The sound of furniture being dragged across the floor all day and night just about drove me insane!!! So much for having a relaxing and peaceful stay. It was far from it. The food options at the restaurant and bar was quite limited.

プールがとても開放的で素晴らしいのですが、 お子様とかは少し危ないかもしれないので、 気をつけてください

スタッフの対応最悪。 森の中なので虫がおおい。 レストランのテーブルも虫だらけで何度か定員さんに退治してもらいました。 また夜から朝にかけて水が出ず、シャワーもトイレも行けず大変困りました。 スタッフに水が出ない件伝えると、スタッフが1人しか居ないため、朝まで待って欲しいと。 部屋を変えてもらうことも何も対応されずでした。 朝スタッフに伝えるもすいませんのみ。 結構チェックアウト30分前まで水がでないままでした。 スタッフの対応最悪。 こちらのサイトから返金対応つたえるも、次回15パーセトOFFしかできませんとの事。 こんなホテル二度と行きたくありません。 スタッフの対応悪くほんとにここはおすすめしません。
