The Clermont London, Victoria

Stunning Victorian architecture! Brilliant breakfast buffets with a plethora of choices in beautifu rooms! Great position in the city, very central!l Arrived to a great birthday surprise of bubbles, cake, balloon and a hand written note! A gorgeous touch and very appreciated!

Rooms are smallish! We had booked a twin room and they gave us a double bed. Carpet didn't smell great BUT instantly rectified and changed to another room with great apologies.

The hotel and staff

The bedroom we were allocated the bathroom did not have walk-in shower both being in our seventies was difficult in and out of bath. There also was a sloping roof at one end of bed that was dangerous if getting up in night hitting head

We had some misfortune Booking.Com had a scammer who sent a false message to us through messenger on the Ap that our booking wasn’t secure the day before we left Australia ! It took some clarification by email I had booked 1 night then I realised I needed 2 nights after a long flight so I booked another night However the cost then doubled for no reason ! The price went up to &900 Australian a night ! I was quite distressed re the billing as it came up as Grosvenor Hotel not Clermont so I was afraid it was another scam ( it wasn’t that is their trade name ) I also didn’t know about breakfast being included Some eating areas were closed the first day ….if only we were told we wouldn’t have gone on tour so early and would have had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful room I There was a conference on at the time … they seemed to be well looked after and were able to access all the facilities well ! I found out about when we were leaving to catch a train for our next destination ! It was a very costly and confusing stay Also our room had a very small & dirty double glass window which was disappointing although Victoria square is a fabulous and convenient central location for everything The dinner next door was a beautiful spot to go but you have to make sure you book in early to get a lovely table !!!

The hotel was beautiful. It was very close to many of the main London attractions like Buckingham Palace. The staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms were very clean. Although they were a bit small, they were neat and attractive. There were several transportation options near the hotel and several really nice places to eat that were fun and affordable.

The only thing I would say was a problem was the layout of the hotel. To get to our room, we had to take 2 elevators (one of which was quite small) however, it is an older building so it is to be expected.

Standard room is small and walls thin. We had noisy neighbours watching TV until 2:30am and talking loudly at 5am.

This was a lovely hotel near the Palace which we were visiting along with afternoon tea (at a different hotel). Unfortunately we could only stay for one night so didn't use all the facilities. The gluten free breakfast was separate including toaster. The staff, were wonderful, friendly and professional, looking after us very well. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The gluten free breakfast was limited and the bread quality not so good for such a hotel. This is a problem with all hotels though, there is a lovely spread but when it's broken down to what coeliacs can actually eat it's limited. The fact there was a separate area and toaster makes this a much better offer. We were offered an afternoon tea at a discounted price about a week before our stay, however we had already booked one at a nearby hotel. If the offer had been given at the time of booking we would most likely have chosen this hotel.

Great location. Many destinations around on walking distance. Hotel is located in a busy spot, near to the historical Victoria train station, Buckingham Palace. If you want to experience the city best place to start with.

Hotel has limited views, be careful when bookings. I found hotel doors to the rooms quite old, and not in a good condition. This could be improved. Inside the rooms place was limited.

Split level room access and the bar food area was a little disappointing

Der Teppich im Zimmer war nicht ganz sauber. Das Badezimmer viel zu klein, für die Toilette war sehr wenig Platz, sehr beengt. Die Kosmiktücher waren am Mittwoch leer wurden nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Am Donnerstag hat man uns die Bademäntel weggenommen. Der Abfluss in der Dusche hat die Menge an Wasser von der Schauerdusche nicht aufnehmen können, dadurch wäre fast das bad überflutet worden. Der Ventilator im Bad hat nicht funktioniert, dadurch wurde es im Zimmer immer feuchter, was auch die Klimaanlage nicht ganz entfeuchten konnte und die Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen. Dadurch war dann gegen mitte der Woche schon eine ziemlich abgestandene Luft im Raum.

Beautiful hotel, lovely little touches to help us feel welcome there. Great location by Victoria which meant getting around the city via tube/bus/walking was really easy, lovely staff and great service and communication. Great options for breakfast. Overall a fabulous hotel which we will return to.

This hotel is so central, it makes travelling around London extremely easy. Their breakfast is outstanding.

Breakfast was okay probably not 4 star and expensive but this is London of course. I did expect breakfast cooked to order instead of food warmed up waiting to be eaten.

Hotel was amazing they went above and beyond. Was our anniversary we asked for some glasses to drink our own champagne and whilst we were out they put an ice bucket champagne and two glasses. A lovely touch

Wasn’t set out very good. Doors opened wrong way kept catching and couldn’t open wardrobe without it banging against another door. We would stay again just would upgrade to a better room

At 77 climbing into a 3 ft high tub while trying to avoid a heated towel rack wall. Very small room and bathroom. Going to a different building and different elevator was cumbersome.

It is immediately next to the train station which was ideal for getting around. It is so close to Buckingham palace and the museums I wanted to see. There is a lot within easy walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room suited my needs perfectly and was well decorated, the staff were very pleasant and happy to help with storing my luggage and offering assistance. The restaurant and hotel was beautiful and the hotel itself was very quiet. I would return without hesitation.

Einfach alles. Vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung hat alles wunderbar funktioniert. Wir durften unser Gepäck bereits vor dem Check-in unterstellen um unsere Sightseeing-Programm zu starten. Selbst nach dem Check-out konnten wir unser Gepäck noch bis zur tatsächlichen Rückreise unterstellen. Das Zimmer hatte eine wunderbare Größe und eine ruhige Lage nach hinten. Die Minibar war gut sortiert. Das Hotel ist zwar groß aber dennoch sehr familiär. Der Service ist hervorragend. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr hilfsbereit, nett und freundlich.

On arrival our room wasn’t ready - three hours after check in. Reception fellow was rude despite us not having a room and also demanded ID (I’m UK national) which was never stated as a requirement saying he would cancel the booking if I didn’t have it. Escalated to management and they were apologetic but marred our short stay and no room meant nearly late/missed our evening engagement.

The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were both friendly and accommodating. Every interaction with the team was a pleasure, as they consistently went out of their way to provide warm, attentive, and helpful service that truly stood out during our stay.

Unfortunately, the condition of our room was disappointing, as the carpets were visibly dirty, dingy, and heavily stained. Additionally, despite requesting rooms near our family during booking, we were placed as far apart as possible—our family on the 6th floor and the other on the 2nd. To make matters worse, only one of the two elevators services the 6th floor. This led to incredibly long wait times to reach the lobby, forcing us to take the stairs most of the time. I hope you will look into these maintenance and logistics issues for future guests.

The hotel is a beautiful building, with a stunning inside. Great location and direct access to the train station and buses.

The restaurant food tasted processed and not fresh, restaurant staff not attentive and didn't even reply when we said goodbye. Breakfast was good with a good selection, personally for me it was ruined as they didn't have real butter only flora spreadable, which I was very surprised with at a high end hotel.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday and the hotel pulled out all the stops. Had a bottle of Processo, cake and card in the room. Also gave my daughter a teddy bear on arrival she loved it!

Exactly as it always is in many regards. Efficient. No fuss. Neat and tidy.

Absolutely not the fault of thr hotel, but I had a terrible night's sleep due to VERY noisy roadworks on a junction outside the hotel, which went on until around 2.30 and possibly later. I was on the 6th floor, so goodness knows what it was like for those nearer!

The Clermont was a wonderful hotel. It was in a great location for sight seeing and shopping. The restaurant was amazing as well. Drinks and food were delicious! The room was very comfy and the air conditioning was great! Staff was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there again on our next trip to London!!

Gebläse unter dem Fenster, das die ganze Nacht durch zu hören ist. Kaputte WC-Spülung für geringen Wasserverbrauch. Abgebrochene WC-Bürstenhalterung und daher auch keine WC-Bürste. Bezahlung on hold beim Check-in und am Tag vor der Abreise Nachricht, dass ein weiterer nicht unrelevanter Betrag zu bezahlen wäre, was sich nach langer, aufwändiger Nachfrage als Fehler des Hotels herausstellte 🤔

Die unmittelbare Nähe zu einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und der U-Bahn. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und auch das Restaurant im Hotel ist zu empfehlen.

Von den beiden gebuchten Zimmer war ein Zimmer nicht ab 15.00 Uhr bezugsfertig und die Zimmer waren an mehreren Tagen bis um 17.30 Uhr noch nicht gemacht. Der Service beim Frühstück war an manchen Tagen verbesserungsfähig.

For such a luxurious hotel, there was no personal touch. The warmth was lacking. I guess they were all too busy and just wanted to get through their day.

Clean, beautiful decor, loved the fresh flowers in the main lobby, the assistants with luggage, the staff was able and accommodating. Will stay here again in June 2027.

The hotel was nicely presented and had comfortable furnishings and towels.

This hotel is in a very busy area next to Victoria Station and on a busy road. There are many drugged and homeless people wandering around the station and park opposite. We rang the bell for help with our luggage but no one arrived. We lugged our bags up the stairs and lay them on the portable luggage rack, then, on checking in, were told not to leave our luggage there and our room was not ready! It was 5:10pm! Our room had a dreadful smell and the drains in the bathroom smelled terrible. The bathroom sink was also blocked so believe some major plumbing work needs to be done.

Location & reception area - free mini bar & sweets were a nice surprise.

Not worth the cost. Bathroom very dated & rooms need modernising.

Location of hotel was perfect. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean to a very high standard. It had a fantastic feel about it and I would definitely go back.

Unfortunately the hotel bar was closed and we were hoping to have pre-theatre cocktails in there which was a real shame. Also, I think that the complimentary items in the room could have been a bit more in line with the price point. One small bottle of still water for two people to share (neither of us drink sparkling), and a packet of crisps/popcorn to share...a packet each would have been nice.

Amazing location, very convenient for exploring London and getting around.

Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. It was very noisy at night, the sink was blocked, there was no coffee provided, and the TV didn’t work. The staff also weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming.

The foyer was lovely looking and the staff were helpful. The bed was comfortable

The room was small and nothing fancy for the price. The carpet was very stained. I was also charged for breakfast after stating multiple times at the property and over email that I did not want breakfast. Thankfully I was reimbursed after following up.

From start to finish the whole stay was just fabulous! From the moment you arrive you see and feel the wow factor. The building has so much character, the staff can’t do enough for you, the rooms are so spacious and well equipped with everything you could want and more. They have a way of making guests feel so special.

The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We returned after enjoying a previous visit a few months ago.

The hotel felt less welcoming and staff seemed less friendly than they were on our previous visit.
