Maple Tree Inn

To my big surprise, the breakfast included scrambled eggs with mixed vegetables, in addition to the one with some kind of meats. We are vegetarians, but never expect to have veggie scrambled eggs.

The room was a bit small.

Second time staying here and I'm amazed at how nice the hotel is for the price. I've stayed at places for almost twice the price that weren't nearly as great as the Maple Tree Inn. Comfortable bed, clean room with a fridge and a microwave included. All with a fitness center and a pool too!! Great value, good location, breakfast included. Perfect.

I am not a fan of powdered eggs for breakfast. I would rather they didn't serve eggs at all if they were gonna do that. All other breakfast items were great

Cleanliness and breakfast

The staff were wonderful: friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The hotel was very clean, and I enjoyed the breakfast, though a little more variety would make it even better. All in all, I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

The biggest drawback for me was the noticeable noise from the HVAC and some of the other equipment. The AC is also positioned so that it blows directly toward the bed, which I found uncomfortable during the night. I ended up switching between the AC and an open window to maintain a comfortable temperature.

The staff were excellent: very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was good and enjoyable, although the selection could be a little broader. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily stay here again.

The main downside for me was the noise from the HVAC and other equipment, which was quite noticeable at times. The AC also blows directly toward the bed, making it uncomfortable to leave running while sleeping. I often found myself balancing between using the AC and opening the window to keep the room comfortable.

Samantha and Grace are amazing and excellent professionals. Pay them more money they are worth it.

The hotel is very nice, I’m typically allergic to a lot of hotel bedding but at Maple Tree Inn I was fine! There is a great drink and snack selection with the vending machines too. The staff are very nice as well, Jerry has always been so accommodating for us and continues to be everytime we come back. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

The hot tub looks like it needs scrubbed inside, a larger breakfast room to accommodate the large groups, no matter the time there was always a full room. More access to towels and toiletries I dislike having to wait for them to be delivered. Perhaps like the pool has, a shelf with extra towels for larger families and longer stays. We had to ask every day for more towels.

Breakfast included in the rate; rooms were clean and functional, staff was friendly, location is good reachable, room was relatively quiet.

I couldn't fully open the window. I think this is for security reasons. However, the cool air wasn't able to flow well into the room. I did not want to turn on the A/C because it is relatively loud.

Veru friendly staff, great location with lots of service nearby, available parking. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is very reasonable quality with plenty of options.

I was stuck in elevator half hour. DON'T USE ELEVATOR!

Our stay wasn’t absolutely terrible, but there were several issues that made it hard to recommend this hotel. The biggest problem was check-in. We arrived, checked in, and went to our room only to discover that instead of the two queen beds we had paid for, we were given a room with just one queen bed. We assumed it was a simple mistake, but what should have taken a few minutes ended up taking over two hours to resolved. We showed the front desk our reservation confirming the room type we had booked, but they repeatedly told us that because of their guest count discrepancy, there was nothing they could do. Their only solution was to offer us a rollaway bed for an additional $10 per night. I explained that the room was so small there was barely anywhere to put a rollaway bed, and more importantly, we had already paid for a larger room with two beds. We weren’t asking for an upgrade—we simply wanted the room we had reserved. After going back and forth for two hours, they finally moved us to the correct room, saying they were doing it because “our friend was upset.” I also asked why this happened in the first place, and I was told that whenever they receive bookings through third-party sites, they often don’t get the correct reservation details and that this happens several times a week. If that’s a known issue, it should be addressed rather than passed on to guests. We also had to pay $40 for parking, despite the hotel being advertised online as offering free parking. That was another frustrating surprise that should have been disclosed upfront. Our other complaints were more minor. Breakfast ended at 8:00 a.m., which felt unusually early. Most hotels serve breakfast until around 10:00 a.m., giving guests a chance to sleep in while on vacation. The area surrounding the hotel also offered very limited variety in terms of restaurants and shopping, with the nearby businesses being almost exclusively Indian restaurants and stores, so we had to drive elsewhere for more options. We also requested housekeeping multiple times during our stay, but no one ever came. It wasn’t until we spoke directly with the housekeeping staff ourselves that our room was finally cleaned. Having to repeatedly ask for a service that should have been routine was frustrating. On the positive side, the room itself was clean when we arrived, and the breakfast food was decent. The highlight of our stay was Grace, the night receptionist. She was incredibly kind, consistently went above and beyond to help us, and personally brought items up to our room on multiple occasions whenever we needed something. Her outstanding customer service was the one thing that made us feel valued as guests. Grace is the reason I’m giving more than a one-star review.

My wife had a 2 day medical appt at Stanford and we went to the Maple Tree Inn-for lodging while there. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were courteous/professional, knowledgeable and kind. There were smiles all around-and we had the keys to our room in under 10 minutes. My wife runs cold (and I run hot) and every time-we go to a hotel, I end up asking the front desk for a extra blanket/pillow. When I did that at the Maple Tree, they advised me that both of these "extra" items, were already in our room in the bottom drawer of the dresser (which, they were-clean and wrapped for our use). The breakfast was cooked well/hot-and tasted excellent (they even had a little machine-that, with the wave of my hand, made two little pancakes for me). Parking was easy (and the $10.00 fee was waived for us due to my wife needing a handicapped parking spot). The room/bathroom was clean/television worked well (I was able to link my Netflix account to the television while we were there). Wi-Fi worked/ice machine (on the 2nd floor) worked-as well as the vending machine and there were plenty of restaurants near the hotel for us to enjoy. Security was perfect---we ordered pizza/pasta on our last night from Dominoes-and the delivery person was stopped in the lobby. The front desk clerk called our room to ask us "would you like me to send your delivery person to your room?" I have been to "name brand" hotels (which shall remain nameless in my review)-but let me assure you, there have been plenty-and the Maple Tree Inn, surpassed EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! If you are looking for a true-home away from home-where everything works/people are kind/food is great and excellent customer service is not simply a statement but an actual practice, then this is the place to go.

The deposit refund for accommodation is too slow. Parking for guests at $10 is also too expensive.

I had an amazing experience at maple tree in. My family and I stayed there as we vacationed in Northern California. The staff was great and the room was clean. I would recommend to anyone.

I had an excellent experience at hotel Maple Tree Inn and got an outstanding service provided by the Hotel Staff Guneet. At the Check- In time, she was very professional and always willing to help with a smile. I had a really long stay there and I usually come in the evening everyday always for some kind of help needed and she is always ready to help. Every request was handled quickly and efficiently and she went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Her kindness, attention to detail and very dedicated to work that truly makes a difference. I sincerely appreciate her hard work and would gladly stay at this hotel again for future business trips. Again thanks Guneet for such a wonderful hospitality and a very good experienced. Kudos to your work and keep doing the same.

We made an error with the dates of our arrival and the manager whose name I believe was Robert couldn’t have been more accommodating. He quickly fixed the problem and provided us with a beautiful room. The place is extremely clean and the free breakfast was amazing. Better than any other free breakfast we have had on our trip crossing country. Parking was easy and if you book direct online it is FREE. The internet worked very well as my wife had to do some business on line. We will definitely book again at the maple tree if we return to the area as the location is in the heart of Silcon valley

We have family in the Sunnyvale area and always stay at Maple Tree. The staff is friendly, easy to check in and out, rooms are comfortable and clean, plenty of parking - and we love the breakfasts. Our most recent stay was bitter sweet however. Family was gathering for a funeral. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The hotel was busy but everyone took the time to ensure our comfort. I can't say enough about how much this hotel feels like home away from home.

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a 10-minute drive to Apple Park and a 20-minute drive to the Google Visitor Experience. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well. Although the room amenities felt a bit dated, everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was limited, but the staff were warm and incredibly friendly. We booked two rooms for our family of three, and the front desk was thoughtful enough to arrange our rooms as close together as possible. Parking is available for a fee of $10 per night. Overall, a great and pleasant stay!

They allowed us to check in a little early which was great. The provided breakfast was also good and had enough of a variety. There was a pool and hot tub for use. The location to shops, food options and transportation was really good. A great gateway to Santa Clara, San Jose and surrounds!

It was hot! So the room was not well ventilated unfortunately and you couldnt open any windows. The air conditioning was really loud so you couldn't sleep with it on. Not the most comfortable conditions.

The AC drove me nuts. I stayed there in the summer, and since it was very hot during the day, the AC was on all the time. Unfortunately, it was poorly positioned, blowing directly onto the bed, which made it very uncomfortable.

The power was off for around 24 hours, and no staff reached out to accommodate or apologize/explain. I get that things like that are unpredictable, but it was a struggle coming home from a concert late at night and having to get ready for bed in the pitch black. There was no hot water during the outage, as well. At check-out, the staff did not mention anything, and the power was still out when we left.

The Maple Tree Inn had everything. It was a great value.

The $10 charge for parking came as a surprise, although perhaps it was mentioned previously in the listings. I would suggest the hotel add the cost of parking charge to the price of the room.

It was clean, comfortable, everything started out good

There was a power outage and the staff were not helpful or available. I arrived not knowing anything and when I asked what was happening they pointed me to a long unlit hallway with no emergency lighting. I had to find my way to my room in pitch black hallways and poorly lit stairwells with my phone flashlight. In the morning the power was out and I could find no staff downstairs. I once again had to navigate through pitch dark hallways with no lights with my luggage down 3 flights of stairs. There were not even muffins or fruit set out for the breakfast they were supposed to provide. It was right out of a horror movie. The power outage was beyond the hotels control, but the staff response was very disappointing.
