First the room smell smoking room the couch was dirty there was a police activity in the lobby and I was very worried about the two days that I stayed there

The receptionist was the most friendly I've ever had. It was nice that they did not charge for parking passes. The rooms are great with a separate bedroom. We loved the balcony, too! The kitchen was clean and updated.

A nicer, newer breakfast table would make the living room look nicer.

Front Desk staff was extremely rude, unprofessional at check in. Arrived at 4 pm for check in. Waited 20 minutes in lobby and no staff was present. There was a long line of guest waiting to check -in. She told me my room wasn't ready and nothing else. I politely asked her what should I do, just come back and keep checking in with you and she rudely said can't you just stand there and wait. She then proceeded to complain that she was going to quit and how miserable she is. Service didn't get any better from there. Had to search for cleaning staff to even request a roll of toilet paper. Toilet barely flushed in our room (we ended up fixing it our self), door handle to balcony was broken, phone in room didn't work to even call for front desk help. Maintenance eventually came a day later to address some of our concerns. I will never stay here again due to the horrible service all around.

Stayed here for my husband’s birthday overnight. Staff was great although I questioned if I really saw the restaurant’s server drop a piece of English muffin when coming out of the kitchen, say to me she thought the female patrons left (because they went to the bathroom), and turn around to pick it up off the floor to put back on the plate! Kids get to the pool right after breakfast so if you want a quiet swim go early! There’s hardly any shade around the pool deck, they need some more of those umbrellas but they did have water to shower off under that works only in the morning if you’re coming in from the beach. We watched a spider catch a mosquito that got in from the balcony right above our pillows, but we also got to watch people that do turtle beach patrol help turtle babies get into the water! Bed softness is just right. It was nice to have a fridge, and you can buy more time to be in your suite until 2 PM for 20 bucks. These sweets are just basic not lavish in anyway. Price for the hotel is good. If you’re driving a big suburban, don’t park underneath the hotel because it’s a tight fit. The camera in the garage is full of salt spray and obviously doesn’t work that needs to be replaced! Beautiful, amazing view. Quiet hotel.

They charged $25 a day to park at the hotel. Could not check in till after 4pm. Only had one person at the desk and there was a long line to check in. It was close to 4:30 before we got checked in. Only had one elevator working so either the late check in was a long line to get elevator to room. Finally waled in the stairs with our luggage.

We were right on the beach and had a great view from our balcony. The room was very spacious and we loved that it had a step down to the living room/ kitchen net. The bed was very comfortable.The bathroom was very large and everything had just been remodeled. The food at the restaurant was very nice.

There was only one elevator working, and it was having some issues. The blinds in the bedroom were broke and we reported it to the front desk but they did not get fixed. All the Coke machines in the building we're on. It took our money, but we did not receive a coke. We've reported that to the front desk and was informed that all the coke machines are broken.That they should not be plugged in and he could not give us our money back. It would have been nice to know this before we started feeding the machine money. The doors are very hard to open.

Our stay at this Best Western in New Smyrna Beach was extremely disappointing. The room had roaches, including in the shower and, even worse, in the bedroom. The kitchen was very dirty, and the entire room smelled strongly of urine. The pool was also in poor condition, with pieces of the deck floating in the water, making it look unsafe and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, the front desk staff were unfriendly. When we arrived, they continued talking with each other and never acknowledged our presence, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we checked in. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property.

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. The room had roaches and smelled like wet dog. The pool and deck around pool was in very poor condition, giving the impression that it had not been properly maintained. Customer service was just as disappointing. They were rude and unpleasant to deal with, they made us feel as if we were annoying them just checking in. Overall, the hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, and provided terrible customer service. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

When we checked in and went into the room I had to use the restroom I lifted the toilet lid and it was full of urine and hair. Also, the mirror in the bathroom wasn’t cleaned there was splattered toothpaste on it. I had to go to Walgreens and purchase some Clorox and Lysol.

It was great location. I loved that it was oceanfront.

The room set up and beach view was great! It was comfortable. There was a very homey feel. The view of the beach was great from almost everywhere in the room. The bathrooms were a good size as well. nothing felt cramped.

I really only have one complaint about our stay. There were live German roaches. There were multiple sightings throughout our one day stay. In multiple rooms as well.

Well, the king size bed was fairly comfortable, the sheets were very scratchy, Old even had a small tear. I have to say that was one area that I was definitely disappointed

The sheets were old and scratchy. I think they should put some money into buying new sheets. Mine were very old and even had a small tear in one side.

Very nice stay, we stay at this hotel every year for our summer vacation and we look forward to it each year.

Bathroom needs repairs to grouting around the tub & baseboard. Carpet is in need of a through cleaning. Our feet were black from the dirt. Wore our sandals after day one continually. Lastly, other guests are smoking on the balconies around us and prior guests in 702 did & threw their " butts" on the terrace. That is gross 🤢

This room has a very unique set up. It was spacious. Having a kitchenette was convenient but I wish it has a few dishes. There were some paper plates available in the lobby. The view was great and the beach access was very convenient. The only thing that would make it better would be free breakfast.

We enjoyed the split layout, with a bedroom and a living room with a kitchenette.

The $ 23-per-night parking fee is ridiculous, especially since they give you a parking tag for your dashboard. The AC in our room never got cold, no matter how low we set it. We were unable to charge our phones because the only USB outlet in the room was not working.

Everyone was super nice and helpful my grandkids and my daughter and myself had a wonderful Lil getaway!💜

This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Went in 2018 and fell in love with this hotel and view. We were so disappointed in this past week's stay. As soon as we entered the room we were shocked by the dirty light switches, walls, and doors. Found huge patches of mold on the wall under the bathroom sink. Broken picture frames hanging on the wall, lights flickering or not working. After 2 nights we had to switch rooms because of a leak coming from the bathroom wall that was causing soggy carpet in the hallway. The room we were switched to did seem a little cleaner, but the TV did not work in the living room area where we were finally wanting to relax and watch a family movie after a long day and stressful move and the room smelled so musty like mildew. Woke up the next morning with sinus issues because of the smell so we left for the day to have fresh air and not have to deal with the disaster. The first morning of our stay when I asked the guy at the front desk for extra towels since we had 5 staying in the room and only 4 were in the bathroom, he told me I had to wait until 9am when housekeeping got there, but he could offer me some of the pool towels he had at the front desk. I found out later once the amazing employee who was as helpful as could be that he was just lazy and not wanting to get up and do his job. That linens are always accessible for the employees to get for guests' needs and she was more than happy to get us what was needed. Both of the girls who worked during the day were amazing and accommodating in trying to make our disaster of a stay better and we felt so bad for them as it looked like every guest was lining up with complaints. It isn't their fault that management is trying to run a disaster of a disgusting hotel. Even when you first arrive and enter the elevator it is filthy and if you look up covered in rusty spots and dirt. The rooms look like paint is how they attempt to clean and cover up any issues. There are patches of paint all over the hotel room with rust spots seeping through or mold and dirt. Doors are almost impossible to open, have broken locks, etc. Even though this hotel is directly on the beach and can offer an amazing view - do not stay here until renovations are completed!

The breakfast was great, though a separate business from the hotel. It was worth the $15 per person. Good food, well prepared, great service. Good value. The check in was easy, plenty of parking. Nice view, right on the beach. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not.

The property is old and tired. The room has older a/c units in the exterior walls that don't do a great job of removing humidity and need to run almost continuously. The room had that odor and feel of too much humidity. The balcony door locks didn't work correctly, some of the mini blinds were damaged. The windowblinds are very difficult to pull down, very cheap blinds. The bed pillows were old, cheap, or both. They charge an extra $24 for parking -- it's a rip off. Adds 10 percent or more to the bill and it's not like they don't have enough parking. The check in person was very friendly, but one of the other staff members who seemed maybe at a supervisory level was not so friendly. I would definitely look for a different property the next time visiting New Smyrna.

The location was great and the rooms were decent. As far as the service it was definitely sub par. Everybody seemed to have an attitude problem. So on May 5th 2026 we were back in town with family, and needed three rooms for the night. We decided to give the place another chance and walked in about 5:30 pm to inquire about the rooms. They had a few different types of rooms and they gave us a price. I asked the guy behind the desk if there was a discount for Best Western members and he said yes but would only give us $10.00 per room off. So the price went from $250.00 per night to $240.00. I said thank's but were gonna look around somewhere else. That's when he said we wouldn't find anything better and maybe we should just go to Daytona and look for some cheap places there. Seems the attitude issues are still in place. Just an FYI for the guy . I was in the hospitality industry for decades, and I'm an retired Certified Hotel Administrator.; He wouldn't work for me.

The breakfast was inadequate for the price. Meager egg portions and there was a hair in the pancakes. Coffee was awful.

TV. could have been bigger, we requested housekeeping and they never showed up. Couch and chair were dirty and very outdated. Vent was hanging out of the wall near ceiling, brown rug was so dirty white socks turned black. Light switch above sink did not work and when you went to plug the ligh the electrical box was loose Vent in the door was dirty . Blinds separating the bedroom from the living room were missing slats. Base of lamp in bedroom was filthy. The pool coping was repaired with duct tape near the steps. Overall this property was in poor shape.

Every room faced the ocean which is what we wanted. However the access door to the balcony did not have blinds, curtain any covering and the windows blinds were missing some blinds. Therefore privacy was an issue along with sunrise very early blaring into our room.
