Great location if staying for work, rooms are limited to a bed and bathroom but was clean, beds not too comfy and shower was a bit dirty but overall not too bad
The front door keycode kept failing
Loved the beautiful grounds of this historical building, which is enclosed by a beautiful stone wall. Location was brilliant for us. Plenty of free parking on site. Rooms where very clean and comfortable. (We booked private bathroom rooms) as would not feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with other guests. Pleanty of public transport into town. Or approx 20 min walk, into town. This hotel is fantastic value for money. Will definitely book again
Car park needs a bit of attention.
Expansive public area, ex training college. Private parking. Communal kitchen with facilities if you need them. Very quiet
Nothing
everthing .really peaceful vibe .Great kitchen area and parking .The staff are fab and really helpful especially amy she went the extra mile To make my extended stay a pleasure.
nothing
Room was clean and the bed was ok
The building was roof was right in front of the toilet so you have to watch your head if your tall or small. The bed was placed right on the roof angle so had to go on the left side. And people don't go to sleep so you may be up all night.
Loved the historical aspects of the building. It was clean and well presented in the communal areas, as was the room with en-suite

Very cheap, good parking
No front reception, other guests being loud in the communal area at night
really easy .Clean and tidy .Great parking for my jeep and trailer .mega good value .spar shop across the road .Honest review if ur looking for a fancy hotel it’s not .But wot it is .Is a well run all u need clean stop over .Great value great parking .

Quiet accomodation. Clean room. Everything was great.
Everything was great.
The hotel'slocation is greaat, with alovely surrounding. I esay fo8und my room, and it was easy to navigate inside the building. I really enjoyed the ciomfort of the room. Spacious shower, and great bed.
Myt only issue was the pillows, was a bit worn off, and little uncomfortable.
Nothing
I was forced to abandon this booking immediately upon arrival and pay out-of-pocket for alternative accommodation due to severe safety, security, and hygiene hazards. The property operates with zero staff presence. There is no reception desk, no staff on site, and no security oversight. The main exterior entrance door was left unlocked and standing wide open, leaving the entire facility accessible to anyone. Multiple unvetted non-guests were loitering directly outside and moving freely through the unmonitored building. The interior conditions are appalling. The property is being operated as an unstaffed rooming house rather than a legitimate hotel. Common area furniture is destroyed and ripped open, the shared kitchen counters are filthy and lots of rice cookers cooking un attended, and the main refrigerator is packed with decaying, rotting food. This building poses an immediate threat to personal safety and basic sanitation. It is completely unmonitored and unsafe for guests. Do not book under any circumstances.
Place has a history as was an old convent, and has some lovely stained glass windows, beautiful old wooden stairs and is a lovely looking building if you ignore the red & white builders tape at the entrance Appreciated the large sized bath towel (and hand towel) Responsiveness of hotel contact who called back within 5 minutes & sent through non-contact check in instructions so I could actually get into the hotel Very cheap £40 for the night Parking on site Ensuite shower room free wifi once in the room
No mobile signal on site: which meant that check in was difficult since I did not receive the check in instructions & could not load the app. Red & white builders tape indicating terrace (outdoor space) was unsafe! Not a good first impression. Lack of anything useful in the bedroom, just a bed/tiny desk/hard wooden chair/clothes rail/lamp/bin - but no glass, no kettle, no hairdryer. Cleanliness: bedroom floor was sticky and small desk was dirty with congealed lumps of something yellowish No net curtains so could be seen by anyone looking out of their windows or from below Bed had a very soft mattress. Light in the bathroom was on a timer -I showered for 5 minutes and it went off twice, plunging the room into darkness, so had the wave my hand around outside the cubicle to trigger the motion sensor to get the light back on. No map of hotel so no idea of where room was situated and every time I left I went out a different way - finding the room was like treasure hunt! One yale door lock - so room did not feel very secure Shame the old chapel hasn't been kept - with outside catering it could be a great wedding venue No reception / no on site staff 3 x blocks of what look like student halls of residence right next door on the same site (not shown in the hotel picture) Insecure glass bathroom shelf; even a toothbrush was too heavy for the shelf which tipped and nearly fell into the basin Communal kitchen and no kettle in the room....
Nice place,good value,great for budget stay 🙂
None
Lovely historic building with communal areas and facilities, free parking, cozy sheets and great shower.
Not enough crockery and baking trays. Whilst we appreciate it is beyond your control the state and smell of the fridge with everyone’s food left uncovered.
Free parking super useful. Venue provided a customised invoice which was appreciated.
A kettle in the room would have been appreciated. Not sure about the premises. Wasn’t made clear that it was on the same premises as student/sheltered/temporary accommodation.
Very nice and quiet property. Our room was on the first floor with a nice view to the main garden. Very comfortable bed. Very good value for money.
It smelled a bit of cigarettes smoke in our room, even though it is forbidden to smoke inside. Also, I know it says in the description that no toiletries are provided, but it would be nice to have the bare minimum like hand soap and shower gel.
The place was very clean and comfortable
We could not regulate the temperature on the shower but we could use the share bathroom. Which was spotless
The shower size and hot water. Comfy bed. Tv position.
The hall light sensor was on too short a timer for me to read the tiny numbers on the keylock. Had to keep jumping around to get light to stay on to find all the numbers, frustrating!
Nothing
Felt like it was like prison and shower was too warm couldn’t turn to cold water.
Very clean and comfortable. Good facilities. Spacious and well equipped. The tv had good channels such as Netflix. We appreciated the free parking.
We couldn't make the shower change temperature so it was too hot. (This may be our fault!) 10am check out was a little early, would have preferred 11am.
It's an amazing building, tastefully set up with no unnecessary bits, great use of the building,,
Kettle in the room for coffee and a small table and chair would work, but not end of the world
I loved the grounds the architecture the authenticity and the rooms were simple but perfect x
Comfier sofa in the junior sweets maybe
Plenty of parking
No staff, just a lock box for your key
No staff seen. Lots of noisey workers getting out and about at 0500 hrs.
Full of migrant workers/families
Accommodation is very basic but adequate for a 1 night stay. Grounds are nice and car parking was plentiful. The communal areas looked clean and well kept but we didn't use them. Overall it's pretty good for the price but not somewhere we would go back to. We booked it this time for the following nights stay as we had an emergency appointment in Hull so anywhere was better than travelling all the way home to go back 1st thing in the morning. Well located for Hull City Centre and all it has to offer.
The window blinds let light in and the bed was a standard double not a king size. The room was ample size to accommodate a king size so maybe this is something that be upgraded the next time the beds are changed.
Location,great price, clean and tidy

I liked the location as we were staying to visit family which was a 10min walk. We caught the bus into the city centre too, plenty bus stops nearby. There was a Sainsbury’s across the road. I liked the gardens, plenty parking, easy self service access and check in as we arrived at 3am after a long distance drive. Loved the authentic features of the old convent building, these were fascinating. The en-suite was ideal and clean. Only staff we saw was the cleaner and she was very polite and friendly.
Paper thin walls, could hear every movement of other guests. The room was very basic, could be done with a console table for putting personal items on.
Self service
Hard to find the rooms, lack of staff present, uncomfortable bed
Building and grounds
Both fridge freezer not working properly, other people using our food i fridge
Free parking. Room 31 was clean. Bed was comfy. Pleasant surroundings.
The shower in room 31 was unusable. No matter where you set the temperature control it was scalding hot. The bedside lamp wasn’t working. There were no drinking mugs supplied. We’d brought our own coffee sachets but could only find 1 mug in the entire kitchen.
Amazing area, beautiful garden and surrounding park, good value for money and didnt cost the earth. A place with a lit of history, the signs in the car park with motivational text were a lovely touch, and the building feels historic.
Being 6ft3 the positioning of the toilet was an issue, being right in the corner of the bathroom with a towel radiator and wall running across it made it hard to use.
we enjoy our stay, No staff around but we have all we need.

Shared bathroom this time but was very clean
Property beautifull shame it was packed with immigrants
No kettle in room no seats in room comunial kitchen stunk dont know what they where cooking but the stench was foul although beautifull location was spoilt by ignorant migrants playing videos of people squealing in pain dreadfull experience wouldnt go again and then theres four flights of stairs to first floor poor John cowleyå
The towels and bedding were clean and the location was good as it was close to the university. Shower pressiure was good. TV in room and wifi worked ok.
No aircon and window didn't open enough. Heat in room was really uncomfortable. Floor was really dirty in main bedroom, bathroom smelt of cigarettes. Shower tray was slippy and it had a crack in it. Bathroom light kept going off during my shower, I had to keep opening the shower door to wave my hand to turn it on again. This wasn't just a nuisence, it was dangerous as the shower tray was also very slippy. No toiletries or even hand soap in bathroom. No coffee making facilites, no fridge. Tv remote was broken, only some buttons worked. View outside window had loads of cigarette buts on roof below. Bed was uncomfortable. Woken at 4 am by man yelling outside (presumably a fellow guest)
Good location last he kitchen
Mattress was flat and too soft
The staff were super helpful and friendly prior to arriving. The room was very clean., the bed comfortable, the shower great and the kitchen facilities downstairs , excellent.Free parking is also such a boon and the grounds are lovely.
My one issue was how hot the room was even with the windows open. It was frustrating that I couldnt switch off the heated towel rack in the ensuite which was adding to the problem. It must be cosy in Winter but not great in our rising summer temperatures. I would much rather have a fan than a tv in a room these days!

Ideal location for our stay
Grounds/parking area maintenance could be improved and tidied up as they were overgrown. Felt a bit ‘unloved’. A simple map indicating the block and room numbers would have been useful.
Cleanliness superceeded expectations
-
Very convenient self check in. Comfy bed and very clean.
Lovely setting in the park, clean and quiet room, clean and well equipped kitchen and dining area
Room would have benefited from a chair.
Clean and comfortable amazing grounds
Shared bathroom but reflected in the price
Quiet
Basic
Easy instructions to get in and find rooms. Lovely location and clean.
No toilet roll, door lock was broken so door didn't lock, room was too hot, needed air con or a fan as windows didnt open much. Bed very uncomfy, no 34
The building itself and the grounds were lovely.
Unfortunately, I found this stay very disappointing and would not recommend it for solo travellers. I paid extra for an ensuite room that had no soap. I only got into my room after the 7 pm cut off for reception, so couldn’t call anyone to inquire if this was a mistake on their part or they actually don’t provide soap (The shared bathroom did have soap). I also only received less than half a roll of toilet roll. With this 7 pm cut off - there is no emergency phone number - they just instruct you to leave a voice mail and say there is a warden on site. They don’t, however, give any contact information for them in the case of an emergency. The automatic lights in the hallway would shut off after 3 seconds. I also felt unsafe in the area with many sirens through the night and a fight breaking out near the grounds.
I liked the location and I highly recommend it. Very clean and quiet
when I arrived I was offered another room indeed with a double bed but the room was very small
Lovely building and grounds it was perfect for our visit. Location was ideal for visiting all the surrounding areas.
Comfortable stay
Couldn't complain about anything apart from it was a heatwave and the bathroom radiator was on all day and night for those nights we stayed we suffered without a fan but apart from that it was a lovley stay
The gardens, the grounds, the ambience of the building, and the use of the communal kitchen. Very good value for money.
Another lovely visit without any problems.
Comfortable, clean and an excellent location!
Did not have breakfast
Toiletries should be provided
My stay was very relaxing. I knew it would be that's why I came back and will continue to do so. Peaceful setting, go at your own pace. No rigid rules over mealtimes. Fully equipped kitchen. On bus route so easy access to town centre.
Nice clean and everything i needed
It's about a half hour walk to the centre
The location was great as was the property and grounds. Great kitchen and dining facility on the ground floor. Very pleasant receptionist and good security. Good parking facilities for cars and close to amenities.
Facility was unmanned with no one at reception. Calls to hotel went to voicemail. Room being offered as a hotel was somewhat small and did not have any sofa chair to sit on. It had one small table and dining chair like that of a student living in a dormitory. Bed was very soft and could do with a mattress upgrade and replacement and another bedside table would be good. There was no cupboard to hang clothes - a clothes rack with some hangers like that of a laundry room was there. There was no tea / coffee making facilities or glasses in the room to drink water. The TV remote buttons did not work properly. The ensuite shower room was reasonably clean, but not at a hotel level. The shaver light did not work. There were no basic toiletries such as soap or shampoo. The toilet seat had green tinge over it. The towels had no rack and were placed on top of the flush tank of the loo - most unhygienic! The shower water temperature mixture did not work and scalding hot water was coming through prohibiting one to take a shower. The aesthetics could be worked upon with a much better maintenance level around the shower tray. The facility appears to be used for short / long term visitors like students just like that of a dormitory. Nearby food delivery information would be good - catering for all dietary requirements.
It’s great.
I’ve stayed here many times, but I’ve never had the room cleand. Just need a clean towel.
The property is clean and well located.
Minimal facilities and basic.
Very clean in room.
Heating not working, shower had no control over the temperture, no tea or coffee could be made in room parking not secure as people were wondering around all the time.
Good location nice and clean
No staff on site but I checked in late
Clean very very clean
The ambience is impersonal - like a convent 😀
Very clean. Lots of space.
Wi-fi access. Comfortable bed
No in room facilities (kettle)
Location and free parking
No light operation in room .. shower temperature could not be adjusted and was scalding hot.. so unable to shower
Comfortable
Shared kitchen but wasnt issue for me
Clean and spacious rooms set in the Endsleigh Park grounds in a very quiet and tranquil setting even though its near a main road. The communal kitchen is handy allowing you to cook meals of choice even though its a hotel.
No complimentary toiletries in the rooms.
The property offers functional affordable en-suite rooms which were quiet, had plenty of parking and located close to the University
Hot water wasnt working. There were no staff on site and signage externally and internally is lacking. There are several buildings onsite and it isnt clear where you are staying
accessible, good transport links,
bedding had stains, took a day to be resolved, number line didn't work when I called, can be creepy at times, tv didn't have sound. the beds are very springy and not good
The room was very clean
Bed very uncomfortable. Room was very small and no mirror in the room just in the bathroom meaning I couldn't dry my hair.
Clean
No soap
Quiet
No human, felt empty.
It was clean and very comfortable.
The only thing that could have made it better was maybe allocated fridge space...we had no room to put our milk fir morning coffees.
Location prices
Basic room, with nothing more than a bed and a bathroom. There was a towel and toilet paper, but no soap, no glasses for drinking, no coffee facilities, so quite bare. It was clean and tidy and seemed quiet. It was very cheap, so I suppose offers a reasonable place to sleep for one night.
Very odd place - located in an old mansion which was turned into a living complex. Out of that, one building is the 'hotel'. Going in, you think it could be really nice, but once inside, it feels like residence for asylum seekers - has a very cheap unkempt feel to it. I didn't feel comfortable there and decided not to stay for the night. In addition, location is not great in terms of access to the town centre.
Nice property with, lovely gardens to sit and relax. The women manager at the front was very nice and helpful.
.
Clean and very quiet away from the main road.
No accessories or coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Price
The room smells of mold even after airing. There is no soap in the hotel (there is nothing to even wash your hands with), the furniture is very old and in poor condition. Check the price, it is not an excuse for such quality of the hotel.
The property is really nice and has some good history about it which I loved learning about. They have a kitchen and dining room you can use and store food in!
The only thing that I would recommend is bringing your own products. They only supply toilet roll and towels

Location accessible
The kitchen dishes are rusty ! Need replacement
Clean and really friendly staff
Unfortunately, the stay was not very pleasant. The kitchen fridge smelled foul and appeared to be running out of water, while the freezer was far too warm to keep food properly frozen. On top of that, drunk guests in the other room kept me awake most of the night. There was also karaoke happening in the park nearby, and the loud singing continued late into the evening. Sorry, but if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the park, this is probably not the best option as it was very difficult to get any rest.
Cleanliness. Ease of access. Free parking
Room with shared bathroom didn't have a sink in the bedroom
Location/ Staff/ Super clean.
N/A - can’t fault anything.
Reasonable bed for the night
TV didn't work. Unable to regulate shower temperature (perhaps user error!)
The garden was nice and peaceful
Simple but very clean and tidy - all I needed
Nothing
Location and price free parking
The small room 18 was more like a prison cell to be honest . No windows apart from skylight . Don’t get me wrong it was spotless and the old school charm and historic surroundings make it a nice place but the room was very small and narrow.
Tv very high on the wall your neck could be pain no coffee table no soap
Quite a novelty, reminded me of my old halls of residence at uni. Nice grounds, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great shower in recently renovated en suite. Worked absolutely fine for a stopover in Hull.
No toilet brush
Pleasant quiet location and a clean, comfortable room with echos of a University Halls of residence [which it once was]. Enjoyed the sharing kitchen too. It's been a while!
Bring your own soap and a very tight toilet location in the showeroom. The room needed airing too - a bit musty.
