I think this hotel is good for a few days' stay in Beijing. It is very grand, but the decor is rather dated. There are restaurants in the hotel that are a bit pricey, and there aren't a lot of things around. If you need to go to the other attractions in Beijing you'd need a taxi or take the subway. On the other hand, it is close to the two (West and North) train stations.

It's easy accessible to metro and buses. The room is big. The bed is comfy. Staffs were friendly. I heard the buffet style dinner is good but when I got there, it was too late.

The shower is kind strange layout. It's next to the bath tub. Because it only has shower curtain, the water came out while showering. Some of the dining places in the hotel closed so early.

The gym is old . And the room door design should improve , every guests are slamming the door , i was awoke by the noises at night

Lack of Air condition for a few hot days in late spring. Fan noise is loud. Strong cigarette smoke in some room and hallways. Rooms are good size but lack of maintenance and modern updates. Pillow and bed causing neck and back pain. No proper sitting in the lobby. No shopping center, or super market within 1 kilometers. Local people are used to online shopping making it very hard for tourists who don’t have bank card of local phone to complete online shopping, which is a common problem around the city.

Good selection of food at breakfast.

Nice location with the beautiful bamboo park and the zoo just across the road. The 40 sqm room felt spacious and the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was nicely cleaned. The hotel is named New Century but really it feels like stepping into the previous century, it's time to refurbish the rooms. The lobby looks nice though. From time to time there was smell of smoking in the room, not terrible but not very pleasent either. Unsure where it came from. Like many other places in Beijing not all members of the staff speak English. We did not try the breakfast or restaurants at the hotel. There is a Starbucks in the next building with decent sandwiches which is where we had breakfast instead.

After a second try to change to a better room, staff let us stay in a much better room, it was very good, much cleaner and a lot more spacious.

When requesting for a room change, the staff first put me in a room that is supposed to be an upgrade but it was very dark and small, the shower was unclean. The standard was not on par at all.

The service there is not satisfying, and the facilities are old. It is hard to believe that you need to queue for about half an hour just to check in. The first room smelt bad, but the hotel agrees to change the room for me.

The hotel does not deserve 5 stars. It's old with dated bathroom and dirty carpet in the guest room and hallways. The lobby, breakfast, and service are ok, but beware of cockroaches in the guest room!

Here for 3 nights at the end of a 17 Day China tour with Saga. Disappointing hotel in many respects. Cigarette smoke smell in room. Smell of drains too. Bed very firm. Room furnishings in desperate need of replacement. Bathroom dated with tired and chipped fittings, shower clumsy to operate. Heating and air conditioning a challenge to operate successfully. The room lighting, especially in winter, is hopeless. Bar in Lobby freezing cold, sat wearing a coat. Alcohol very expensive. Saving grace, the pool table in bar provided plenty of fun, and staff were friendly (but spoke very little English).

Here are a few nice things about Hotel Nikko: close to the Beijing zoo and a beautiful park for running, walking, watching locals dance or do tai chi; the coffee bar in the lobby will make a delicious tea or coffee for you; the room has a window that opens, if you like to have fresh air on a nice day; there are usb plugs by the bed to charge your devices; there is a tub to take a bath. What makes the hotel average is it’s attention to detail and the quality of the rooms. The closet door didn’t work. The door in the bathroom was damaged, possibly by water. When we arrived, no one seemed interested in us. The staff was fairly aloof. They were the same checking out. No one asked us about our stay. They just wanted payment. If a welcoming environment doesn’t matter to you, this hotel would be fine.

Our first time in China, this was our first hotel on a guided 10 day whirlwind trip to 5 cities and 5 hotels. We stayed the most days in this hotel (3 nights) and it was by far...our least favorite. It wasn't bad, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke and the hotel was dated. One note that we had to learn about many of the hotels in China is that you have to use your room key to gain electricity in your room. You literally have to insert your room key into a slot upon entering your room..without doing this, you cannot turn on the lights or tv. The breakfast buffet was very good and the lobby was clean and inviting. This hotel wasn't necessarily near anything of interest but it didn't matter as we were too exhausted to do anything but hit the bed each evening and get up for breakfast...then we were off!

This is a good hotel. Room is large enough and in good care. The food is excellent. It located in a convenient place and easy to shopping place and other important areas. Hotel staff are polite and helpful. I like this hotel.

Me and delegation stayed at this hotel from the 26th until 30th August. Actually this hotel very comfortable, clean, located in the center of the city and reasonable price. But.. The customer service/cashier do not understand English, so for communication we have to rely on friend from the embassy. There are also cashier who understand English a little but happen to be serving other customer. It's OK.. As long as I still helped by a friend who understand Chinese language.

因班機延誤所以清晨才到酒店，櫃台植班人員態度極不耐煩，堅稱找不到我的訂房資料，要我自行和Hotel.com的客服核對訂房資訊，有失五星級酒店應有的服務態度！ 酒店設施老舊、健身房和游泳池沒有毛巾提供，房間設備也都很老舊，失望！

Stayed several times with good experiences. It’s location is good, with many restaurants, parks and Beijing Zoo across the street. Overall, it has maintained its Japanese quality of ambience and service. Rates are reasonable. One area can improve is the check in and check out. Sometime with long line and waiting. Need to speed it up.

First time staying at Nikko New Century Beijing. Overall stay was good. Well located in Beijing as it not too far from most places to visit in Beijing. Hotel amenities is a bit aged but still acceptable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again for sure when visiting Beijing.

バスタブの栓が壊れていて、埃が落ちていました。日本語NGなのは仕方ありませんが、夜の緊急事態等で英語も厳しいスタッフがいるのは困ります。食事は美味しく、今回携帯紛失のトラブルにもスタッフ3人が各所への連絡等に尽力してくれました。以上を総合して普通の評価です。

Usel resturang testade både frukost och middag. Gamla heltäckningsmattor i rummet. Generellt gamla möbler, inte en fräsch känsla. AC inte igång fast det var 30 grader ute kom aldrig under 24 grader i rummet.

Wifiが全くダメ。今のネット時代とはかけ離れている。でもNHK BS PREMIUMは視れるので日本人にはいいかも。部屋は広くなくトランクはベッドの上で広げざるを得ない。近くにカルフールがありナニかと便利。

Everything seems to be breaking apart or torn down. Rooms are small (only 28 sqm) and I am not sure why it still flashed the 5-star plaque in the lobby. Service is OK but amenities are below-par. Mini-bar items are super-expensive!!! I dont know why a run-down Hotel like this still got an inernational flag.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and then moved elsewhere. The service was disappointingly slow and that the hotel showed a need for maintenance and renovation. I my case, the bed was very uncomfortable and the most obvious maintenance issue was that the shower didn't work. I found the lack of coffee in the room annoying. I also found a lot of things that were overdue for replacement like yellowing curtains and worn out decor. To be completely fair, the premises was clean and conveniently located for the zoo, shops and restaurants, but the overall tired look doesn't inspire.

Husband and I were on a guided tour for 7 nights in China, and this hotel was our first stop. For the cheap price we paid for the entire tour, we were immediately impressed with the accommodations provided here at the New Century. Buffet breakfast (included) was a huge buffet with a variety of both eastern and western foods. Beds were comfy, especially the pillows. Lobby level includes a very nice gift/sundry/snack shop as well as a coffee shop. To-go sandwiches are available at the coffee shop and the buffet. Most staff spoke English, at least well enough for us to communicate our needs. Bath amenities were high quality. Good location near shopping and the Beijing Zoo and public transit. Would definitely recommend.

Nice in downstairs areas but room very small and tired looking

日本語を話せるスタッフと一度も会わなかったためトラブル解決（タクシーの予約と金額）に一時間以上かかり、不愉快な時間をすごした。

Selected this hotel because of its proximity to a friend I was visiting in Beijing. It's location is not in any of the main tourist areas - this is no bad thing at all. It has plenty of local amenities if you want like a supermarket, fruit stores, steamed bun, noodle shops etc so easy to get food in the evening if you want to eat out and don't mind eating in a very local way, this can be difficult without a translator app tho. There is a KFC and Pizza Hut nearby but why you would choose to eat there I couldn't say. Hotel itself - I was concerned mainly with the quality of room after reading many reviews on here before traveling. I am happy to say that many of the negative experiences I read in reviews here were not my experience. Room was clean and of a good quality - not a trace of smoke smell as many commented. I was staying on the 26th floor. Interestingly many people were raving about the breakfast and in hotel food which I tried a few times during my stay and honestly found it to be distinctly average. The Breakfast especially was extremely overpriced but convenient. I ate out most nights anyway because again I never understand why people travel somewhere only to then eat in the hotel. The hotel overall is a little dated but to be fair what hotels aren't. It has some general wear and tear and you can tell its a hotel that's been around a bit, but seriously its nothing to write home about. The staff were always friendly and courteous. The staff changing room linen were especially considerate and not at all forceful as you can sometimes find at hotels where they are inconsiderate or ignore you requests to not make up a room. I guess my only other complaint was the lighting in a room was a little dark, but this is actually something I prefer anyway so. Location is very good. Its an out of the way hotel in terms of the main city, but that's not a bad thing its pretty good to have a quieter location but with easy transport. You have multiple subway connections within a 5 minute walk from the hotel and these will get you into central Beijing in about 15-20 minutes. You also have the Zoo within walking distance as well as very nice park that is well worth a good walk around. No issues with anything like plumbing or general infrastructure. Elevators were prompt, staff assisted easily with any minor requests and issues. Check in and out nice and straightforward and timely. Having a safe in your room is always nice. I guess worth saying that the bed is harder than a standard western bed, this is often just the norm in Asia though so not much you can do about it. All around a very good experience, would easily stay here again. If I had seen any major issues I feel the staff would have done all they could to rectify them for me. Last and most importantly my room was nice and quiet, there were seemingly not many families that I saw staying here as it is mostly a business location - this is certainly no bad thing at all lol

北京動物園に近い立地で、パンダ好きの方にお勧め。頤和園、北京大学方面にも比較的近い。 値段もリーズナブルだが、王府井や天安門には、やや遠いので、どちらかと言うと、ビジネスステイ向き？

イベント会場に近いため、割と定宿的に使用しているが、英語・日本語が通じるスタッフがかなり少なく、スタッフ同士の連絡も悪い。チェックインして部屋に向かうと清掃中。2日目は滞在中に掃除に来たので、13時以降食事で外すのでその時に頼んだところ15時過ぎに戻っても見清掃。同時に初日にシャワーが出なかったので修理を頼むも未修理。2日目はコンシェルジュにtクシーを呼んでもらうも前日の公共タクシーが40元だったのに対し、何の説明もなく同じ場所に行くのに89元を要求される。ことほど左様に「日航クオリティ」とは言い難い。定期的に開催されるイベントに近いだけが取り柄で料金もそれなりなので、より良いサービス、もしくはより近いホテルがあれば変更を検討中。

房间太旧

I liked everything there but the water pressure and light. The breakfast was very good. The furniture were new and bedding was comfortable. However, the water pressure was too low, so shower water stream was too small, and it was sometimes hot and sometimes cold. In addition, the lights were too dark in the room. Maybe some people like it, but I don't.

I stayed in this hotel in July 2018 mainly because of its proximity to the Beijing Zoo. I booked a superior room which was one level up from the standard room. The room was very clean but felt small, without too much room to move around. As other reviewers have mentioned, the furniture is quite dated. The two armchairs in the room were uncomfortable to sit on, so I just used one for my suitcase, and the other to drape clothes on. The bathroom was also an unusual design and one that I didn’t find very easy to use, with a half-circle shower that was built in right next to the tub. The tub itself was nice and deep for soaking, but it was treacherous to get out of because you have to hop out onto a floor that gets quite slippery when wet. The housekeeping staff were kind and hardworking, and even though I couldn't communicate with them in Chinese, they checked in with me each morning about whether I needed my room cleaned, and what time. The most helpful staff were the folks at the concierge desk. They were always happy to book taxis (the hotel is tucked in from the main road so you have to call taxis to come pick you up) and provide directions. In terms of location, the CarreFour supermarket across the street was very easy to get to, but there seemed to be few places to eat. I think I would opt for a hotel in a more central section of the city next time, and take the subway if I need to get to the zoo.

I was traveling solo with a group tour of 20 people. This was our first hotel we stayed at when we arrived in Beijing. I highly recommend to download a Translator App, it comes in very useful! We arrived late at night and our tour guide Frank took care of all our registration needs, since we were in a group and none of us spoke any Mandarin it was easier and faster for him to do it. The hotel must be use to handling large groups as we received our room keys promptly. They do make copies of passports but give you the passport back right away with your room key. This is a very nice hotel. Rooms are nice and big and I had no complaints as the room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. They do give two bottles of bottled water every day, that was a plus for me since we are told not to drink the tap water. The rooms have a coffee pot and a mini fridge and a safe for valuables. I learned that all if not most hotels in Beijing have an emergency fire pack to use in case of a fire and a flash light. They also provide a shampoo and conditioner as well as lotion and a tooth brush with toothpaste and a nice comb. This hotel has several restaurants a breakfast buffet which was amazing!!! Combination of American, Chinese and Japanese foods. This hotel has a money exchange machine to change US dollars or currency from other countries right near the registration lobby. If you need an ATM there's one near by just going up to the second floor thru their little convention halls down the other side on the other set of escalators. This hotel is located in a great area near many things also as the Metro is a couple blocks away, walking distance. We don't speak or read Mandarin but the signs are very easy to read and we took the Metro to the Summer Palace. There's a few restaurants across the bridge from the hotel and a big supermarket with so many things to see and buy. There's a Kentucky Fried Chicken as well as a Pizza Hut that serves a lot more then just pizzas if eating in the restaurant gets old (this is just an expression the food is not old) or expensive. They also do have a nice swimming pool. They have plenty of elevators so the wait for one is never more then a few minutes. This hotel was very nice and clean, we all loved it! Also every room also has a weight scale, not sure why but its there if needed.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights (8-10 May) as part of a tour of China organised through Saga. Our room was comfortable and more than adequate for our needs in terms of space and storage - the free wi-fi was fast enough for light browsing and emails - and we slept very well. We received two complimentary bottles of water each day and there were a range of hot beverages. Toiletries/ towels were provided in the en-suite. We had one dinner and all our breakfasts in the restaurant here and we found the choice and quality of the food and the service to be very good. The hotel was well placed for our tour venues. All the staff we met during our stay here were friendly and helpful and - despite this only being a short visit - we enjoyed our time here.

インターネットが利用可能、と紹介されているけれど、実際には現地での携帯電話によるナンバー登録が必要とのことで、通常の旅行客はインターネットが使えません。詐欺とまでは言いませんが、ひどく騙された気分になりました。

It’s a terrible hotel. The tap was blocked and it was impossible to take a shower. How could they let customers check in to a room like that. It’s overpriced for the old and not well-maintained facilities. The nearby area is dark and not many shops.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Hotel has a beautiful and spacious lobby. Rooms were average size, modern, and clean. What stood out for me was the excellent buffet breakfast that contained both Western and Chinese dishes. It is walking distance from the zoo to see pandas and about 1/3 mile from the Baishiqiao South Subway Station and the Erligou Subway Station. The hotel has 2 restaurants, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and free WiFi in public areas. Rooms have bathrobes and slippers, TV, minibars, and coffee makers.

滞在した際、1Fのカフェを利用しました。夜遅くの利用でしたがラストオーダー後もゆっくり過ごさせていただきました。朝食ブッフェもすごく料理の種類が多く美味しかったです。

Our tour group was advised of an amended accommodation when we arrived in Beijing. The tour guide had no idea we had a different expectation of our home for next 4 nights. Check in went smoothly and the room is adequate, not the 5 star advised by the tour guide. It’s clean and has enough space for overnight while we see all of the highlights. The location is not as central as preferred, we have made the best by shopping at the nearby neighbourhood options. After 4 nights here I must say that the location is fabulous, the on-site buffet for breakfast and dinner is extensive, great value and quality food. The buffet dinner includes local beer which is also great if you enjoy a few cold ones. We are very glad that we ended up here instead of the original booking!

今回の滞在は、短かったので、まあまあです。 ホテルから飛行場までのリムジンバスはなかったのが残念です。それで北京空港からホテルまでタクシーで行こうと思って、タクシー乗り場で、ホテルまで３１０元要求されました。それは高すぎるので、バスで途中のバス停まで行って、そこからタクシーで行きました。合計４３元。翌日はタクシーで空港まで行きましたが、それでも１００元でした。北京空港のタクシー乗り場の高額な請求には憤りを感じました。３倍も高いですから、ぼったくりですね。改善をすべきと思います。適切な監督機関に要求をお願いします。中国玄関口北京のイメージが悪くなるので。
