Location and the hotel is quirky because of the history of being a former paddle steamer,
Perhaps I should have raised that the rooms would be small.
Sehr gute Lage. Sehr originelle, ganz andere Art zu übernachten. Sehr sauber! Seelöwen gegenüber mit inbegriffen;)
Sehr wenig Platz im Zimmer, bei uns keine Abstellmöglichkeiten für jedwedes Zeugs. Preise teilweise an „Bord“ utopisch -> Dose Bier $ 12. Personal extrem bemüht aber total überlastet. Würde das mit kleinen Kindern und gehbehinderten Leuten nicht empfehlen. Sehr viele Treppen.
The location was perfect as we came for baseball games and we could walk to the field. We ate at the bar and it was very good. It was a nice experience to be on the river.
Location waz great
Very small room, restraunt closed early
Location on the river, the historic nature of the hotel.
The location was great. It's located right down town.. Most stores close early on the weekdays. Some are not open at all. The boat was neat . It was right of the river.
The bed was creaky, and the sheets were rough and scratchy. Some seals across the river were camped out there, and they were loud at times. Our room was 50 feet from the front desk, and the walls were paper thin. I could when a new guess was checking in. There were these electronic doors right on the other side of the wall next to my room . They were so loud you could hear them open and close, every time a guest went out on the deck.
Close to ballpark and old town
The food was good but not excellent
Originelle Übernachtung auf einem Schiff mitten in der Altstadt. Die Seelöwen im Fluss.

The Delta King is a unique setting with a fascinating history going back to the 1920's. There are some very interesting riverboat artifacts and historical information provided in the common areas. It is located right in the Old Sacto area so it's very convenient to museums, shops, and the River Cats stadium. Our room was small but comfortable. It did take a bit of getting used to a floor that slanted slightly, but that's to be expected on a boat. We enjoyed the experience.
The street noise from a nearby, newly-opened beer garden was loud, but it closed down around 10 PM.
Have stayed here multiple times for concerts at the Golden One center, great location and some historical charm
This room this time was right across from the front desk...so noisy and smaller then the other rooms we have stayed at.
Great location; near ballpark and Old Sac
Our room had nowhere to sit.
Location Great and the staff was amazing as well as the food! Beautifully maintained property! You must see the bar !!! Stunning!!!
Location on the water
Amazing staff, good food, nice vibes
The room was so hot at night couldn't sleep well
I loved the water view was amazing 👍👍
I didn't like that the restaurant wasn't open early, at least for a cup of coffee.
Unique and interesting
Tiny room immediately off the lobby - not super private.
It’s a super cool hotel in a wonderful location
It’s a little pricey
It was such a unique place to stay and the History of the boat is so very intriguing !
The location was great and staff was very friendly.
The room was really small but we weren’t there to stay in the room! The bed was comfortable and the water in the shower was HOT.
Location staff air con good but a little noisy
A bit rundown sticky carpets
Loved it ! It was a wonderful experience!!!
The location was excellent, the valet service was excellent. We were able to store medication in the lobby fridge as no room fridge.
The lift didn’t go up to our floor. The staff weren’t friendly at the bar.
The location on the water. Easy walk to Sutter Health Park. Easy walk to near by stores and restaurants.
Room was small and not too quiet. 2 off the outlets didn't work. The ones that did work, our phone chargers would just fall out of them. The toilets are scary when you flush them. Our burgers at the restaurant were ordered medium but were burnt.
The location is awesome and the hotel is very charming, staff are friendly, everything clean, good food in restaurant. Rooms have adequate space, storage and amenities.
There were no chairs to sit around the decks except outside the restaurant and bar. It would have been nice to have comfy chairs to sit outside on the riverside.
location
The idea of a river boat was awesome. Great presentation and the staff were superb
The noise that the seals make is extremely loud so that earplugs are provided and it’s all night. Something that you should be made aware of as the noise is so bad you will be up all night, ear plugs or not. Moving the seals by 100 metres by relocating the pontoons across the river would suffice.
Classic riverboat accommodations. Restaurant onboard was excellent.
No onsite parking except for valet which was $30.
Great to stay on a converted boat, room was not huge but comfortable enough for a one night stay. Staff were helpful. Public parking close by was fine.
The seals over the river were a bit noisy, despite the provided ear plugs. The food in the restaurant was average, the service was poor and the drinks very expensive. It would be nice to have a small refrigerator.
The view
I would like to have had a tour
You can't beat the location. You walk off the boat right into the middle of Sacramento Old Town. Sutter Health Stadium is an 11 minute walk. You have a bar and a restaurant right on board, and a view of the river and Tower Bridge. The boat itself has an interesting history and it's a unique experience to stay there. Pro tip, skip Joe's Crab Shack and eat at the Railroad fish and chips place right at the top of the boat ramp. Go to the train museum, it's only a block away!
I wish you had to be a hotel guest to enter the sections of the boat that are hotel rooms. We had a few sightseers hanging out in front of our room a few times, including someone filming themselves doing a tiktok dance. Made taking naps a little difficult, but this is really a first world problem and I should shut up.
It was lovely staying on the River boat. Very unique.
My overall impression woukd have been much better except for the valet and check out. I had to leave at 2:30 am and conveyed this to both the valet and front check-in desk. I was told my car would be in valet drop off area and would just need to get the keys from the front desk. When I checked out my car was not in the valet drop off area and valet was not on duty that early. The desk clerk was wonderful. She located my keys, shut down the front desk and then walked the 3 blocks to the parking garage with me to locate my car. I specifically did valet so I would not have to walk 3 blocks with my luggage in the middle of the night. The hotel still charged me for valet parking and never responded to my messages about this charge since I had to locate the car myself. Ruined an otherwise nice stay. The night clerk was wonderful!
Being right in middle of old town, also more personable all staff excellent wish I had more time Just wishing I got the discount we got staying there often many years ago as a San Francisco police officer Now retired Richard DellAgostino
Everything
Very unique experience staying on a paddle wheeler. The staff was wonderful. There was so much to do within walking distance. We really enjoyed spending the evening on the deck for a night cap.
The nostalgia of an old operational steam ship. The bar and restaurant are excellent. The bed was comfy and room was clean.
The Sea Lions barking all night.
Like staying on a piece of history. The boat is so atmospheric and moored in a great location. All the staff were great. Sealions off the port side were a bonus!
Nothing
Beautiful view of river and good location.
No access for upper floor bar and rooms for handicapped. Staff and some restaurant workers were uniformed. Menus were strange with basically no fruits or vegetables.
Unique opportunity to live on a real ship. I was thrilled. Highly recommend as an experience.
Not a disadvantage, but something to keep in mind. This is a real old ship, it’s been renovated but some things may not feel as comfortable as your regular new hotel. And also, you can hear seals at all times.
location, bar/dining room
this should be a motel priced hotel. The rooms are old, small, and loud. They give you ear plugs by your bed for a reason. Also would have been nice for them to have better signage about the lobby ramp vs the dining ramp
Atmosphere
Great location in downtown Sacramento in the old town. The view from the hotel is picturesque. The bed was comfortable. Appreciated the valet parking.
The room and bathroom are both very small. It was tight even for two people. The harbor seals outside our room were barking quite a bit making sleeping rather difficult. The coffee machine didn't work.
Love the nostalgia of being on a ship
Room was waaaayyy to small and overpriced for what I got
It's is a very nice place really enjoyed the view of the river
An experience to stay on a boat on the river. Very unique. Well thought out.
I liked everything. The only thing that might have been bothersome, but was ok because we weren’t in a hurry, was that check in was extremely slow. And when I came back out of room to purchase water, wine and snacks from front desk, there was an even longer line of people. I waited for about 15 minutes and gave up because line wasn’t moving. But all was great. And that isn’t really even a complaint.
Room overlooking the river, in view of the seals, was awesome! Also, preserving the old-style toilet flusher and bathroom sink faucets was great!
No coffee with coffee pot, only sugar and creamer :(. Also, when we arrived to the room the heater had been turned on with the fam going and it was very hot in the room. It might be preferential, especially in a small room, to just leave the climate control off and let the guest adjust to their liking.
The hotel is a historic steamboat that used to travel from San Francisco to Sacramento. It was fun staying in a piece of local history.
Location and the restaurant
The stairs to the room but they did offer to help me with my bags so it’s take not a complaint
Location
Tv 📺 not able to connect to netflix plus bed mattress is not that comfortable extremely soft
Clean, nice restaurant/bar, good location for downtown Sac and A’s games.
Seals can be loud but they give you ear pads.
Nothing really beats the experience of staying on the water. Room was clean.
Excellent reception staff. The late check in was essential to my accommodation. Accommodation description was accurate. The sea lions across the water added a nice touch.
No glasses provided in the room. Coffee cups were.
Great place to stay. Food was wonderful, poor restaurant service.
Our waiter was not good. I understand he was busy and possibly going through some personal stuff, but he forgot about us several times. He forgot our drinks, and he forgot our bill (we had to get up and find him to pay). He wasn't mean, just not all there. Also, the amount of homeless people surrounding the boat was insane. Downtown Sac is not what it used to be.
I love the location! Right in the middle of old sac, walking distance from golden 1 center and various resteraunts. I also love all the staff, they were very accommodating and super nice. The regular rooms are small, but that's expected! It is a boat after all. It was still a cozy stay.
How it still felt historic not modern
Rooms could be bigger
Always have a blast staying here.
Best location in town. Old Sacramento right in front of the door. Special experience.
Everything
Location, was quiet and not disturbed at night. We had a problem with our bathroom light which meant we were without it for a night however the reception staff did offer to move us to another room if we wanted however it was our choice to stay in our room and manage. It was fixed promptly the next day. We absolutely loved having and evening lullaby and an early morniing wake up call from the sea lions on the pontoon across the river !!
The breakfast was poor. Whilst the staff made every endeavour to be helpful there were only bagels available. I think we should have been told at check in that breakfast on board was not an option
The people were great.
That my room was 10 feet from the front desk.
Good price, unique, on the water and on a boat. Decent bar. Sea lions barking.
Great location and very unique
Horrible service, we actually were booked into the same room as a gentleman, given a key and walked into a room with a stranger already settling in!! The front desk staff was very…. Confused. She kept asking us our names (12 times in the hour it took for her to check us in?!) She also went room to room at one point and without knocking, used her key to open each room to “see if someone was in them” so she could get us in our room… Nothing went right with the checking in and it was so frustrating we should have just left.
It was our first time staying on the boat. It was amazing. It was a surprise for my husband for his birthday. He loved it. The staff was amazing. The room was clean and the boat has so much history to it.It was just fun exploring the boat.
Those seals are loud now.I understand why they put earplugs in the room.
Great place for local old town stay. Staff friendly.
All good
Location Location
Bathroom sink hot and cold water being separate. Just different
It was in a great location and the ship itself was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the price was as great, especially for the quality of the room.
Breakfast was a little funky in that only two of the menu items were available but that was such a minor issue compared to the quality of the rooms and the great food at dinner.
Amazing unique hotel in historical place. Stuff very friendly and nice
Perfect venue

The location was great. Good walking distance
The room could have had a few updates. The door barely locked which was un nerving.
