I do recommend it
Very friendly check in and comfortable 1 bedroom suite. Loved the pool area as well!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9-Day Stay at El Cid El Moro – Truly Memorable! I recently spent 9 days at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel in Mazatlán, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I booked the Elite All Inclusive package, and it was absolutely worth it! The staff were exceptional—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. From the front desk to the restaurant servers, everyone made me feel welcome and taken care of. Their service really elevated the whole trip. The food was another highlight. With the Elite package, I enjoyed delicious meals at several restaurants, and the variety was incredible—everything from authentic Mexican dishes to fresh seafood and international cuisine. The quality and flavor were top-notch every single day. The location was also super convenient. There were plenty of nearby shops and local markets just a short walk away, which made it easy to pick up souvenirs, snacks, or anything else I needed during my stay. Overall, my time at El Cid El Moro was relaxing, fun, and full of great memories. I’d highly recommend choosing the Elite All Inclusive package if you want the best experience possible—amazing food, excellent service, and extra comfort all around. I can’t wait to come back!
Customer service terrible hotel was wonderful
Our room was perfectly clean everyday, Staff was friendly and all was perfect for our little family trip! Fidel was awesome as always!!!
Me and my wife had a really good time. It was our first time here and it was an awesome experience. Definitely will come back in the future. Maybe when it’s a bit more cooler.
This property is very outdated, our room had a roach, housekeeping did not even noticed while cleaning. We reported the issue and no one even bother to take care of the issue. The quality of food is very bland and basic not worth to pay for all inclusive. The resort was very busy as it is the school holiday so expect lots of families with children which can be a pool take over and very loud. I would not recommend this resort. We tour The El Cid Marina and that place is beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend to stay in the downtown area rather than the Golden Zone area. Mazatlán is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit overall, I would visit again.
The Aerv
Very great!
Muy amable todo el staff
Staff was super nice restaurant had great food
Rooms were truly disappointing. Bed sheets were dirty with lipstick. 2/5 elevators were working. Had to change rooms due to AC problems. All inclusive was extremely misleading as I came to realize there’s another level of all inclusive once you reach the hotel.
na
The hotel was nice, but overall the room was very hot, and when we had rain the roof was leaking. The breakfast buffet was cold and not so good. Ramon, the waiter from the bar outside by the pool, was awesome. He waited on us and was so polite. When we came down, he knew exactly what we wanted to drink. He was the greatest!
We had all inclusive and yet. No waters in rooms, food by pool is sold. No night shows. Room service is extra charge. Very limited all inclusive.
Everything!!!
The rooms were great! But the restaurant variation was limited. Especially for those that don’t eat sea food .
The rooms were great and very spacious. Beautiful views but thin unsafe windows. They seemed like they were falling apart and definitely feel like if u lean on them u will fall over. Last day we found a little roach which was surprising since our room and hotel felt very clean. Pool was great my kids loved it but was a little crowded at times. Not a big deal. and we loved the beach out front with great music. Not a close walk to the mazatlan letters but very close drive. Food was not good at buffet but ok food by the pool area and drinks were hit or miss but we made reservations at the seafood restaurant at their other location (cid marina) and it was so delicious!!! Id stay again keeping in mind that i will mostly eat out during my stay.
Great stay
Awesome
Didnt get king bed. The quality of food not that great as an all inclusive
Excellent location
?
Very nice hotel
Great
The El Concha restaurant and the Lobby Bar were both excellent.
The Hotel is average in regard to the installations overall, the service was also average some staff was nice some staff seemed to not want to be there. Pricing was decent for the quality that the hotel offers!
Everything!!!
We love it and great location!
Would definitely recommend, more family friendly so if your traveling as a couple then choose the adult only side
The food was excellent
We had a beautiful oceanfront corner suite with stunning views. The beach service was outstanding thanks to Tomas and Martine. Thank you. The Elite all inclusive is definitely the way to go. Our meals and service in the La Concha restaurant were just excellent. A wonderful relaxing holiday
This property falsely charged my husband with property damage. Then later when requested to receive video footage promised about the property damage that was alleged, they refused and attempted to call the police on us. We were forced to pay extra money and were kicked out of the hotel early. This place was extremely racist and terrible terrible terrible service. If you are a black American I suggest you do not go to this hotel. If you are an American just know that most people do not speak English, they do not care about how you feel, and do not respect you at all.
Está justo en la playa y todos los servicios estan disponibles todo el día.
Wonderful customer service. Ramon at La Gruta Snack Bar and Karen at La Concha restaurant went above and beyond to take care of us and made sure we were comfortable and great. I would def recommend El CID!! The first time I went was with my husband 10 yrs ago and had a wonderful time. This time we went with our 18, 16 and 8 year old and everyone enjoyed themselves to the max!
Friendly staff
We have returned to El-CID/El-MORO several times on the eli Astart we seldom left times.
I really enjoyed the pool and beach . Everything was super accesible and safe . Made lots of lasting memories with the family .
4th time here. The Moro is the shiznits
Good
As we entered our room for the first time when we checked in I removed my sandals and the floor was so dirty the bottom of my feet were black within one minute. This tells me that the floor was not cleaned before we checked in. The door to the patio had a gap so big, anything could crawl through from outside. The restroom had hardly any lighting at all. I could not even read the shampoo or conditioner bottle to tell the difference while showering. Walls we're so thin you could hear the Neighbors eating off of their plate when the the fork touched the plate. Had to ask for a new iron 3 times because they were leaking water or burnt. After asking two or three times for these issues to get resolved, they finally got resolved. However, it took at least two days. Never recommending this hotel.
This was our 3rd time at El Cid. The rooms at Moro are huge and a great value for the money. While the food is acceptable with suffient options, we typically eat outside the hotel. The reaort is conveniently located within walking distance to nurmerous good local restaurants. The resort's pools are the best in Mazatlán! Access to tennis, pickleball, and golf were nice amenities not available at other resorts in the area. The fitness facility has cardio, machines, and free weights to complete any kind of workout.
Nice room, nice beach, chilly pool, good activities. We only book the room and it was enough. Great supermarket across the street.
Good vacation
Beautiful location and well kept facility. Would definitely go back.
Location was very very good and the grounds were kept very clean
Food was good, room facing ocean a must ,friendly staff ,beach was average , weather was chilly mornings and evenings . Windy as well , overall ok
Great hotel with a fantastic breakfast buffet featuring live mariachi music. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location offered stunning views. The alcoholic drinks were excellent. However, there was a lack of maps and information about the hotel’s restaurants and amenities, and the cash exchange limit of $100 per day was inconvenient. Overall, a great stay with minor drawbacks.
Beverages & snacks and pools should be available at all resorts. Pay to eat at upgraded restaurants. Or difference should be explained on website.
Great
Not having stayed in Mazatlan before, not having your fridge stocked when all inclusive was something new to me. Also, was never told we couldn't eat at the lunch area of El Cid El Moro (even tho we were staying there) b/c we were not ELITE all inclusive. El Cid Castilla buffet lunch & La Concha buffet dinner were terrible. Good luck trying to get dinner reservations at any of the ala carte restaurants that is before 8pm (guessing earlier times are for members). If staying in Mazatlan again, we'd get the European plan or stay at an Airbnb.
If you get the all invlusive you need to make all your reservations upon arrival. We did not and had trouble getting dinner reservations when we wanted. We did not recieve the room we paid for, thhe hotel said they were not available. Expedia did credit me the additional amount but this is something to be aware of. The waters at the pool sere 10 stars all tge way. Jorge, Martin, Marcos, amd the pthers were absolutely fantastic! We loved them. Rhe maids were great- one day we accidentally dropped cash on tge bed and the cleaner left a note for us. Such jonest service! Thank you Maria Ochoa! There were a few minor things we didnt care for but they were not deal breakers. I had someone take my beach towel while while we were at the beach and when i tried to get a replacement i had to wait 20 minutes for the pool concierge to come talk to me. He said that they dont give away towels so i would have to wIt for them to count yowels at the emd of the night and if an extra one tur ed up they would let me know, in the meantime i had to be without a towel. When i went the next day to adk i had to wait again for someone to ok the towel.
Great staff particularly in elite club; Alejandra, & all the elite club staff Daniel in la concha Enrique in Mexican restaurant Remodelling of room needed
Outstanding customer service especially Verónica! The concierge for the elite club. Room service was outstanding and the grounds were great.
did not like the empty property next door as our room faced that direction with the homeless encampment. Adult only pool needs to be heated. staff very good and friendly. food was good .
Treated bad and released from hotel
The hotel staff was amazing! So attentive, friendly and always made sure we were taken care of. The room was ok… the hot water took forever to come out, there were lots of days we had to shower with lukewarm water… The towels felt like sand paper… the tub would clog up as well. As far as dining, the food was delicious, lots of options to choose from. Overall would rate the hotel a solid 8/10.
Location was great!
Honestly this hotel was pretty bad. It is so dated, it felt really dingy. The sheets were awful on the bed so I didn’t sleep well. We heard of people having cockroaches in their room. The buffets were pretty bad and it was impossible to get dinner reservations. The pool was excellent though!
Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, great staff and a beautiful location for a resort, would definitely recommend and will come back!
Lots of dining options with great food! Close to a lot of great things you will want on vacation.
Did not honor our all inclusive , entire property was old and broken , limited selection witj goor. Eberyuokb was closed at 9 pm evert night
The property had different tiers that offered different amenities, however these weren’t given as an option when booking nor were we aware they had different tiers other than all inclusive or not. Also all inclusive was very limited on what they offered as far as food choices and types of alcoholic beverages.
Rooms a little outdated but clean
The water wouldn’t drain from the tub the big windows in front of shower were a little creepy The blow dryer was not safe it kept heating up and would shut off
I stayed at El Cid for five days, and have nothing but great things about the hotel, amenities, and mostly, the staff. Upon arrival, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Alejandra at check-in really set the tone for what I knew was going to be a great stay. The staff at every angle were beyond generous, attentive, and friendly. My favorites were Alvaro and Rodrigo and a bartender whose name I didn’t catch in the dining area. The rooms were clean and spacious, and housekeeping did a great job at cleaning every morning at the time of my choosing. I loved the easy beach access and the secenic view of the beach from my patio. The only thing that I could say could be improved was the shower in one of the bathrooms. It didn’t warm up to temperature consistently, and the drain seemed to be a little plugged. Other than that, our trip was perfection. Thank you to everyone at El Cid for help making our trip so memorable - I can’t wait to go back!
We enjoyed our stay at El Cid El Moro. We went as a family with young children and everyone enjoyed themselves. The beach access is a plus and the restaurant La Concha was a delight to dine at. All the waiters were friendly and professional and always welcoming. We will be back soon!
Many of the staff was friendly, some were not, towel area, restaurant bar area. Waiters and waitresses were good. We got a massage at the concierge desk, she made us pay a $24 deposit in cash, could not put on room. The deposit was not reflected on our massage bill and given we gave cash, no one would do anything about it. Not sure if that’s standard
Good location Old and dated. Lots of hidden fees. Not enough lounge chairs in the sunny party of the hotel. Bar staff pushy on over priced bad drinks.
The staff that served the pool deck and beach area were fantastic. The drinks and food were all good. The rooms were clean but outdated. The pool chairs were old and worn. In general the hotel is run down and in need of some updates. Some of the staff could be more helpful or friendlier. The kids loved the pool but beware, as I cut my toe on one of the tiles in the pool floor. The first-aid attendants cleaned me up and treated the cut. Not much else was done. They had "beach" voleyball that my family was a big fan of and the staff running the activities were great. If you do not have the all inclusive package, skip the buffet as the price is outrageous and though the food was okay, it wasn't worth the price. The beach was wonderful, and to have service of food and drink brought to you while the kids pay in the sand and in the waves was a highlight of the trip. Worth staying here just for the location.
Very walkable area, nice pools with easy beach access, good food, good service, We really enjoyed our stay there, it was 12 of us, didn’t hear any complaints!
The beds are terrible, including the pillows, which are super uncomfortable.
El cid Moro has something for everyone , families can hang at the pool or couples on the beach or hot tub. Service is excellent and rooms and views are great. Downside is the food. Don’t go with the all inclusive since you’ll sour on the quality. Instead wander around to Shekinah Beach Club or Chile Pepers or Diego’s for great meals.
I love this hotel with all inclusive option, no need to go out everything is conveniently in resort
This resort/hotel is beautiful, safe and great location. I booked a suite with ocean view and balcony which was perfect for myself. It was great I also had the all inclusive wristband. The only reason I will not give it a full 5 stars is because the employees who are serving you along the beach or the pool get very pushy with wanting to sell you alcohol bottles or yetii bottles. Once we refused to purchase, service completely stopped and would ignore our request. One server particularly got security involved saying I was sharing my drinks and food with my family members who did not have the wristband. Mind you we bought our own alcohol to have and made our drinks all of this because we didn't purchase anything from him. But he had no issue taking our tip money when we were serving him. Just be aware and don't fall for being upsold on anything. There's a beautiful grocery store across the way with everything you may need.
The experience/ view/amenities were great!
We loved the rooms, the service and the location! My only complaints would be that the buffet food is fairly cold - it was rare to eat a hot/warm meal. You literally had to try and grab from the back of the tray as everything mid to front was cold. The pool is pretty dang cold as well. The resort is exceptionally clean.
Room was wonderful, the food was good (not great) but better with other restaurants that were included with the inclusive. Very strict on time with food menus; not-impressed, if you came 20 minutes early for breakfast you needed to wait 20 minutes before you could eat….even when the food is all laid out in front of you!
Didn't like all the changes to the all inclusive package Will not be returning to this resort after many many many years of coming Thought it was very inappropriate to have children allowed at the swim up bar /pool area, so many kids were in that area we never got to go in and a cold drink. Need to make more adult only areas.....The kids were out of control and left us to have to deal with kids our whole trip, had to stay on the beach just to get some peace Wasnt
Inaccurate fees when all inclusive. The quality of the food and beverages were below standards.
El personal muy amable todo muy bonito
Great location of property, many restaurants, if you choose not to eat on location, plenty of night activities if you choose to go out. Staff is friendly and willing to help.
Clean and comfortable, but the food isnt the best
I didn’t like that it was close to a local bar and they didn’t have Pacifico’s beer at the resort bars.
Was there for a birthday and everything was great
Overall is a pretty outdated Hotel! In pictures things look newer. definitely NOT Recent, as far as cleaning it was not; pillows had a sweat smell upon arrival, did let staff know said they would clean, supposedly they did but smell was still there! Our phone did not work to dial reported 3 times & was not fixed. Aside from that staff was so kind and nice, all the waiters were amazing love the staff. For the price def expected more quality
Bed are uncomfortable to old and they charged us to use WiFi and only 2 devices can use it since there’s only 2 codes
Bathroom toilet dirty also my pillows requested to be removed from room
The pictures of the amenities offered by the resort attract you. When we arrived, we saw exactly was illustrated in the pictures (rock slides, waterfalls, and rock cliff to jump off into the swimming pool.) The resort decided to have staffing work on the attraction during, what I would imagine is the busiest time of the week. (Thursday through Sunday) . It happened to be during our entire stay, theefofe my kids we not able to have fun in what they thought they’d be able to use. Second, the “all inclusive” feature I purchased is unclear. Nowhere does it say what is included within menus, and or areas. It was mainly word of mouth by the waiters at the resort. Certain waiters would bring me things such as bottled waters, and others would deny it and tell me it’s not included in my package. When I asked them to show me where that was stated in “fine print” they could not prove it and still denied me bottled waters. I brought up to the attention of the member staffing twice and not once did I receive an apology. They didn’t care in any way. They were passive about the information and changed the subject. I won’t stay here ever again.
It was great
We have stayed here many times. The staff is always great! Hotel is a little outdated and the beds aren’t the greatest.
Nice and clean
I paid specifically for a beach front view and I was given a partial ocean view, the Expedia management at the hotel was able to accommodate to my request of beach front by our second night. Once we settled in to our new room, we found a giant cockroach on one of the beds. I complained and they were very quick to send in maintenance. Throughout our trip we came across multiple employees by the outside bar who ignored our request to order food and beverages which was included in our all inclusive package that we had purchased through the VIP Expedia agency located in the hotel. This hotel has been my favorite since I was a child, however after paying $3000 including their one thousand peso resort fee and adding the all inclusive for our 5 night stay I can say I will not be coming back. It has gone up in price and the hotel is a bit outdated. For the price I paid I imagined better service like my previous stays at El Cid Hotels, and a better room. The staff at La Concha was excellent, I would like to thank the waiter who took care of my family and I because he was amazing. His name is Jose Alberto Loaisa. Best of Luck to the hotel, we will not be coming back.
It’s a great place! The food is good, the facilities need to up kept more. A more deep detailed cleaning is needed. And more areas with AC so you can sit down and enjoy a drink overlooking the pool area. More night activities for adults and maybe even for teens to hang out.
Nice place with friendly staff

Nice pool!
Nice location, extremely rude staff when questioned politely about cleaning our room
