This was our fourth stay at the hotel. Every stay has been truly memorable. We have always received such a warm welcome. The hotel’s beautiful design and excellent location are the reasons we never consider staying anywhere else.

During our stay, the elevator broke down twice, so we had to use the stairs. Fortunately, both issues were resolved fairly quickly.

Location is perfect, close to the train station and Tivoli. Special treat was the decor of the room, in 50s, almost funkis style!

Room was a bit small but is normal for a single bed.

Location. Nice coffee machine in lobby. Nightly wine hour. Very friendly staff. Lovely decor and design.

Not very functional bathrooms. Sink was too small leaving you wet even trying to wash hands or your face. The shower was really small and the curtain sticks to you as you shower. The bathroom and light fixtures were not clean, nor were the door handles. Could use a general dusting of the room. My pillow cases had stains. For a 4 star hotel, better cleanliness is expected.

Charming hotel with local decor. The breakfast was phenomenal. Close to everything.

Fan in bathroom kept going all night long. It was very noisy. Bathroom overall not in good shape.

I loved the central location and the amazing design elements throughout the hotel really made it stand out.

The lift broke down a couple of times but the staff organised someone to bring our suitcases down for us - and we got some free wine!

One of the things I found most interesting about the hotel is the Danish design. The rooms are decorated with beautiful Danish designer furniture, and I loved that every room is different and has its own character. The hotel also features a wonderful collection of famous Danish designer chairs, which adds a very special touch. Breakfast can be booked in advance and costs approximately €25 per person. I also really appreciated the complimentary coffee available to guests at all times, as well as the water provided in the lobby. These small details made the stay feel very welcoming and thoughtful. Overall, I liked everything about my experience. The atmosphere, the design, the attention to detail and the hospitality all made my stay very enjoyable. Thank you, Alexandra Hotel, for the wonderful hospitality. I would definitely stay here again!

The location was fantastic.

There is a some loud noises between 3- 4am every day we were there. Sounded like deliveries - loud banging and what squeaky and squealing elevator. Staff were pleasant enough but not super helpful when the noise matter was brought to their attention- particularly the young, heavier set women who worked the mornings. The room resembled a dorm room and the shower was moldy.

I don’t understand this designer’s of today. It looks like they never traveled anywhere. The whole room did not have any wardrobe nor any drovers to store our staff. There were a couple of hangers available but for staying a couple of days our room always looked like a mess.

Odanın zemini çok fazla ses çıkarıyor ve ahşapların durumu oldukça kötü. Yatak kesinlikle yenilenmeli. Ayrıca odada buz dolabı olmaması büyük bir eksiklik.

Comodo al centro città vicinanza stazione. Possibilità di bevande calde gratuite. Arredamento di design.

Nothing related to hotel. The restaurant next store was very nice but for a double expresso and one croissant, I found 140 DKK / 14 euros very pricy compared to full breakfast at 21 euros

Posizione perfetta, a due passi dal comune , dalla via principale per shopping e cibo, dal parco Tivoli e dalla metro Rådhuspladsen. Inoltre la zona è super servita ed è piena di supermercati per poter far fronte ai prezzi un po' alti di Copenaghen :) L'Hotel bellissimo con i suoi pezzi di design...un piccolo museo. Staff gentile e disponibile...ci tornerò sicuramente

Well located for visiting Copenhagen's historic center and taking public transportation/trains to explore farther afield. Surprisingly quiet considering the location in a bustling neighborhood. An afternoon glass of wine in the retro lobby was a nice cap to the day. Enjoyed the retro design of our Sixties room.

Although generally clean, there were vestiges of black mold around the base of the shower. The delicious breakfast at the coffee shop next door was too pricey for us to enjoy every day.

Boas instalações. Antigas, mas em perfeito estado de funcionamento. Cama boa, chuveiro bom. Tudo funcionando bem. Vista maravilhosa. Super bem localizado. Tem como tomar café no restaurante que é anexo ao hotel pagando no ato do café. Atendentes muito educados e prestativos. Há local para deixar as malas antes e após os checin e checkout. A água da pia do banheiro é potável, como aliás em toda Copenhagen, mas mesmo assim há um bebedouro na recepção que dá para encher a garrafinha da gente.

The staff

The first room had the wc leaking, the shower had was blocked, the shower gel was not working. The second room the bed was half between the walls, there was no central light next to the bed, the shower head was blocked, there was no baggage rack to hold the luggage and there was no wardrobe. The wall next to the bed was dirty.This was supposed to be a 4 stars, superior room.

La chambre était spacieuse et bien décorée, le personnel accueillant.

Le petit déjeuner est très cher et ce n’est pas un buffet. Il est pris dans le « café » attenant très réputé par ailleurs. Il est peut être préférable de ne pas prendre le forfait de l’hôtel pour faire son propre choix.

Hotel Alexandra is a boutique-y hotel largely furnished with Danish furniture in the classic 1950s style. That alone would make it worth a visit, but the location (less than 10 mins walk from the central train station, and around the block from Tivoli Gardens) and the excellent staff make it truly memorable.

While it seems silly to say it's unimprovable, I honestly can't think of a thing that might have made our stay more enjoyable.

Traditional, delightful old style grand building opposite the city hall. Retro Danish furniture. I really liked the spacious room and the style of bedding (comfortable). Lighting attractive. Window looked out to the boulevard and town hall square, very central. We didn’t take breakfast.

No fridge/ mini bar. The shower & toilet were serviceable but will soon need some upgrading. The bathroom door needed a couple of screws replacing and a plug was coming loose, both reported.

Belle surprise. Belle chambre confortable installés au calme car l'hôtel donne sur un grand boulevard. Hyper bien placé pour visiter Copenhague à pied, à 100 mètres du métro pour circuler et notamment pour retour à l'aéroport. Nous n'avons pas profité du petit déjeuner car avion à prendre de bonne heure. Un hôtel qui a une âme.

The room was noisy beyond belief. There was a concert in the town square until 15 minutes before midnight on two consecutive nights, and the noise in the room was unbearable . I find it abhorrent that we were not warned about this . The room was effectively uninhabitable for two nights. Additionally , despite the room being serviced , between the two of us, for four nights, there was a sum total of two tea bags and two sachets of cheap coffee. The breakfast for two cost nearly £50 and took 45 minutes to arrive . It consisted of two eggs, some bread , cheese, yoghurt and coffee . The cost should have been under a £10 each for what we got . I could have bought the lot in a supermarket for £5! Four nights in this hotel cost over £1,000. It is NOT a four star hotel, it just charges like one . Style over substance!

Läget är perfekt. Toppen att det fanns enkelrum till rimligt pris. Rummet kändes välplanerat och rymligt trots få kvadratmeter. Bra garderob, schyst dusch, bra med utrymme för toalettartiklar i badrummet.

Nyckelsystemet är så förlegat och opraktiskt. Man har en stor metallnyckel som man måste lämna till receptionisten varje gång man lämnar hotellet, och som man även måste be om när man kommer tillbaka. Ibland får man vänta eftersom det bara finns en receptionist. Ytterdörren låses till hotellet på kvällen så då måste man ringa på för att bli insläppt. AC fungerade men det var ändå svårt att få till rätt temperatur i rummet. Toaletten hade lite dåligt drag, man fick ofta spola flera gånger.

- Es ist sehr hellhörig. Wir konnten die Toilettengänge und Gespräche der anderen hören. - Zur Strasse hin ist es am Wochenende etwas laut. Unter der Woche geht es aber. - Duschvorhang welcher das Duschen nicht komfortabel gemacht hat. Auf den Bildern unserer Zimmerkategorie war dieser nicht zu sehen.

The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly and the design is very nice, the room was spacious and comfortable, nice complimentary coffee to have in the lovely lounge.

The room was clean overall but there were a few dusty surfaces, there was an espresso machine in the room but no coffee pods. It's no big deal, just little details :)
